The mo-mo will leave you wanting moh These are some of the best dumplings I've had in LA My first impression of the chicken karai was that it looked dry but I was surprised as to how tender and juicy it was at first bite. The most tender chicken I've ever tasted. The shrimp curry vindalou was flavorful with a harmony of Himalayan spices. I definitely need to come back here to try everything.
A must try! Perfect for family outing, a date, or a solo comfort dinner. Cannot sing their praises enough! My only suggestion would be that they focus exclusively on Nepalese and Tibetan food. Having the Indian food on the menu seems like over kill. Focus on Himalayan food, no one else is doing it! ☻
Went here by chance the first night of the Oasis show. The restaurant was packed but all of the servers were very nice and welcoming. Food was delicious and would recommend checking out a Pasadena gem that has been in the area for 25 years!
As a 1st generation Nepali American I can firmly agree this is 100% authentic Nepali food. Chicken momo was delicious, achaar was a little mild for my liking but good none the less. The Daal, Bhat and vegetables were amazing. The whole meal was delicious I haven’t had an authentic Nepali meal in so long and this really hit the spot. The REAL amazing thing though was the 1 server they had, I did not catch his name, but he was working so damn hard all night seating and doing every table BY HIMSELF!!! They really need to give bro a raise because I had never seen anybody work that hard in my entire life.
Nice atmostphere. We came here to check out the place and sample food and came at the right time. It was saturday and they have AYCE for $10.99 per person. Food are authentic tibetian food. It is almost same as indian food since they almost use the same herbs or aromatics. I tasted all of the foods on the buffet and they are good, not salty or bland. For the price, it is worth it.
Absolutely delicious a great atmosphere and our server was attentive and friendly. We started the meal with samosas and tamarind chutney, they were hot, fresh and crunchy, we were also brought complimentary house chai tea which was delicious and tasted home made! Then we ordered a lamb vindaloo and chicken tikka masala. The dishes came with a delicious side of dal and cauliflower in a delicious curry. Everything was fresh, hot, well seasoned and smelled wonderful. We also ordered a pashwari naan and the meal came with a lot of hot naan. The meal was more than enough and we had leftovers which I’m excited to have later. Highly highly recommend and I will be back with friends! Thank you Tibet Nepal House for a delicious meal that felt like home cooking
Its Nepalese and Tibetan restaurant with buffet in luch and ala carte in dinner. I went lunch mostly and the variety and taste of the food is awesome (items include 2 veg curries, salad, chutney, chicken and lamb curry, man-chow soup, pakoda, noodles, rice, rice pudding, broccoli fry, nan etc). Buffet price is reasonable. The restaurant interior is awesome which give u environment of Nepal or Tibetan culture with sculptures, statues, photos and even architecture. Restaurant dont have its own parking and you need to depend on street parking or public parking nearby. Staff is friendly and service is good.
Had to travel to Pasadena every Three weeks for work. I was just walking off the mail road when I saw this wonderful place. I walked in an ordered randomly off the menu. I had no knowledge about the food. The waiter suggested I get a different item and a beer. So I did. Feel for the food that night. When ever I came back into town I ate there at least once. The waiter and owner always recognized me and would say, you’re back in town again. The normal order ? The normal was they brought me something I had not had yet. It was always great.
Absolutely the most authentic Himalayan cuisine in Los Angeles! We tried the vegetarian momos—delicious and packed with flavor. My husband ordered the Chicken Masala Thali, and I had the Palak Paneer Thali. Both came with perfectly spiced dal and chana masala that were truly outstanding. We’re thrilled to have discovered this hidden gem—it’s officially our new go-to spot. And the naan? Hands down the best in LA—delicious, and absolutely mind-blowing.
Tibet Restaurant: A Pasadena Must-Try! Seriously, if you're in Pasadena, you have to check out Tibet Restaurant. This place is a total five-star winner! The vibe is super welcoming, and the food? Incredible. The momos are a game-changer – perfectly juicy and packed with flavor. We also loved the thukpa, a real comfort in a bowl. Everything tastes fresh, and the spices are just right. Service was awesome too; our server was friendly and super helpful. The restaurant itself is charming and clean. Basically, if you want delicious Tibetan food and a great experience, this is your spot. We're already planning our next trip back!
This is a go-to spot for my husband and I. The staff is so friendly, and they recognize us whenever we pop by. They have really good lunch specials, but even when we go for dinner, the prices are very reasonable. I've tried multiple dishes here, and they are all delicious. I also appreciate that they're willing to go above and beyond. For example, they know my husband and I can handle the heat 🌶️🥵 so they make sure to make it extra spicy for us. I think they appreciate being able to show off in that regard, since they always seem pretty excited to fulfill that request lol
One of my favorite restaurants in all of LA and Pasadena. The space is charming, the staff is so kind and the food is incredible. We’ve tried a ton of different places searching for great Nepali food and this is far and away the best in the LA area. 10/10 recommend. Only great notes.
Small restaurant with various South Asian dishes. I’ve came here before pre-covid a couple of times, and was always impressed by the friendly service and delicious food. They’re currently open for takeout during covid, so I decided to order some takeout on a Tuesday night via their website. The yak momos were a favorite of mine, and though the meat itself is a bit dryer than your typical beef, it’s flavorful. There’s 8 in an order, and the momos are accompanied by a creamy spiced (not spicy) sauce. My sister and I split a non-vegetable thali as our entree. We chose the chicken masala (sweeter than your typical masala and super creamy) and enjoyed the curried, garlicky cauliflower, lentil soup, basmati rice, and naan that it came with. They didn’t give us utensils, so if you’re planning on eating your food in a park or something, you’ll need to bring your own. Paid street parking is available and might be hard to get on a weekend. If you’re going to be in the area for a while, I’d suggest parking in a garage and paying $6. There’s plenty of vegetarian options available. Bathrooms aren’t open to the public during covid. Overall, I can’t wait until the place is actually open for dine-in, but takeout does suffice for the present.
2nd time going here and it was just as delicious as the first time! The staff is very friendly and one particular man was really informative on each dish and which spice level is best for you. Food came out and was full of flavor! Definitely worth the drive.
Fantastic gem of a restaurant serving delicious Tibetan / Nepalese food. They have a lunch buffet for $10.99, several beers from India, and other unique Nepalese dishes, in addition to the typical Indian favorites. The staff here is very friendly and make an effort to get to know you after only a few visits.
Incredible hidden gem! I was impressed by their delicious Indian and Nepalese dishes, as well as the passion of the owner, Raj. My wife works at Concierge Mental Health & Associates, which is right around the corner, and she loves to go here for their lunch special. We’re very appreciative of the generosity of their staff, management, and she’s furthermore grateful for their support of Post-Conventional Psychology and the Six Sigma Scholarship and Working Professionals Fund. Thank you for your community support, for feeding us both with delicious food as well as with kind hospitality!
Everything was top-notch, from the food to the service to the atmosphere. We had the chicken momo dumplings, which came with a delicious curry dipping sauce, creamy mushrooms and peas, and chicken makhti, plus garlic naan and rice. Everything was super flavorful and tasted wonderfully home-cooked. We'll be back soon!!
Nothing to find here but great food and service. Absolutely delicious food with a wide variety for every taste. We came in for lunch and the service was absolutely fantastic. There is a great blend of Tibetan Indian Asian with some real unique dishes. I definitely will be coming back.!
This restaurant truly excels in every aspect: from its meticulously prepared cuisine to the attentive service and thoughtfully designed decor. Vegetarian diners will delight in a vast array of options, and the bread is a treat with its unlimited availability. The highlight, surprisingly, is the rice – each grain is perfectly fluffy, creating an unforgettable texture. Will definitely come back to try more food! 😋
Wonderful food and spices were just right. Never had Nepalese food and learned new words. Service was excellent and patient with us, but he was overwhelmed suddenly with a rush of groups on a quiet Monday night. Highly recommend to try the vegetarian Thail (combos)
Checking in for lunch 😋🍴 This is a go to for us. Their lunch specials are from 11:30-3 pm come early and come hungry! All of their dishes are full of flavor and I appreciate how you can customize the spice level! The lamb curry and chicken tikka masala is a favorite of ours the lentils, cauliflower and garbanzo beans are the perfect pairing the rice is the cherry to top of this FEAST! The staff is amazing and beyond friendly God bless you all! 🙏🏼
What an amazing restaurant in downtown Pasadena , very very delicious and clean food . Customer service is very good. Amazing food quality. What else I can say ? Must try if you’re in Pasadena and have some south Asian , Indian , Nepali food . Will definitely come here again 🙏🏼❤️
Delicious!! Unique and very flavorful food. When you walk in, there is a ton of decoration all over (buddhist and various things). It’s all interesting to look at! It’s also the kind of place where your clothes might smell after (cause of all the food cooked inside), so choose what you wear carefully. It’s also really saucy so white wouldn’t be the safest color to wear also. The host was really nice and explained the menu to us and gave recommendations at our request. Loooved the garlic naan bread, the chicken momo (dumplings with the sauce was soo good, and we got something with lamb at the host’s recommendation. The Palak Paneer was sooo delicious (cheese combo with spinach)!!! Definitely looking forward to eating the leftovers! Would come back for sure!
Great food and atmosphere! Price is reasonable too. The chicken tikka masala tastes like curry but more creamy and a little sweet. Mix fried rice is a little dry but still good. I like their masala tea pot too, it’s kinda like Hong Kong milk tea but with some Nepal spice added into it. Nann can be better if serverd warmer
The best dinner I’ve had in a long time. The food was delicious and flavorful and came out super quickly! I will be making this my new go to spot for sure!
I got the chana masala lunch special, which came with lentils, basmati rice, and naan. I enjoy coming here because it's usually not busy and there is a wide selection of South Asian food at a good price. The staff is friendly and they play some relaxing, upbeat music. This restaurant is a great place to get lunch with old friends.

Amazing food. It tastes like my mom’s cooking back in Nepal. My concern was just appetizer coming after entree and so I gave 4 star. Though our server was genuine and a very polite. Will I go back again? Definitely!!
This place rules. If you're a vegetarian the best thing you can do for yourself is order the aloo gobi, paneer tikka masala, and plenty of rice and naan. The SAUCE is legendary! Yum. "Seasoned to perfection" as they say. Pair it with a Taj Mahal brew and life is good. Atmosphere is interesting. Lots of paper feet hanging from the rafters that look like a kids school project and give an elementary school open house vibe. That's just the rafters though, the rest is more what you'd expect from a place called Tibet Nepal house. I'm worried I'm not selling it, but it's cool, trust me. I'll be back!
The food is delicious! It is made fresh. The dishes they use to plate the food are beautiful, and add to the ambiance. Friendly customer service, and very attentive. The music goes well with the ambiance. The food is so good it's memorable. A great experience overall. We can put this on our favorites list.
One of my favorite restaurants after a lifetime in Pasadena. The food is superb, and incredibly unique, compared to what is in other cities. Furthermore, the service feels genuine, and the atmosphere is very nice, with relaxing music being played, as well as tastefully worn decor. My only criticism, if I were forced to give one, would be slightly too little protein in entrees. However, with how much I always order, I still leave stuffed. A true gem of a restaurant by all the most important metrics.

Step into a slice of Nepal at this restaurant – they've got vibes that whisk you away! The service? A-grade! I dove into their thali, and oh boy, the lamb masala stole the show. Now, the Thupka? Not my cup of tea – broccoli decided to throw a party in there, far from the Nepalese vibe. Lamb kababs? Decent performers. Chicken Dumplings? A crowd-pleaser. Parking? A treasure hunt in itself. Dive in for the vibes, savor the hits, dodge the misses, and prepare for a parking adventure! 🏞️🍛 Recommending: Nepalese vibes! 🧘♂️🏔️🪷🙏🇳🇵
It was good food and a nice meal, though there wasn't great consistency. It's probably that I'm used to the Indian versions of many of these dishes and the Nepalese way is a little different. I liked the aloo gobi, but the okra dish wasn't as good. My friends loved the yak, but not the dumplings so much.
The food is good, the service was quick. It has a cute mom & pop shop feel to it. I don't like that I was followed to the bathroom and waited on to return, to make sure I didn't bail on the tab 🙃 (because the bathroom is outside of the restaurant) that didn't feel good ... im a black woman, it made me wonder ...do they follow all of their customers or just me and my melanin counterparts ? but otherwise friendly staff the food is HEAVILY seasoned so if you aren't a fan of rich flavor I would suggest going somewhere else Cute decor and ambience as well but will I come again, probably not because I didn't like being followed to the bathroom like a 5 year old
Good vibes, kind staff that took care of us when we went for their lunch special, which ranges from $15 (veggie) to $17 (masala / meat) depending on your preference. Waiters were kind and took care of us. One issue arose with the masala chai - we were charged the regular menu price of $5.95 instead of the lunch menu price of $4.95. Furthermore, despite the chai coming out in a singular pot (of which we never refilled), we were charged per cup (and thus twice). This was in poor taste, which is the only reason why I must deduct one star in principle. The other reason is that my chicken tikka masala was way too sweet (my pet peeve when it comes to Indian cuisine in America). Otherwise, decent value and will likely be back.
First time at this restaurant. The dishes were good to fair. Overall 3.5/5. Lentil Soup - delicious and flavorful Chicken Tikka Masala- tasty and tender chicken bits Classic Lamb Curry - the curry sauce was delicious but lamb was very tough and hard to chew! The meat should have been cooked longer or pressure cooked for tenderness. Marinated Grilled Salmon - spinach was delicious but the salmon was not very flavorful Dhopzi- whole wheat bread was good but naan would been a better choice
Our new culinary experience! It helped to read your reviews. We were able to make up our minds. Thank you. Nice find. We liked and enjoyed our meal served with attentive server. Plenty of meat choices with vegetarian options as well. The garlic naan freshly made. 🙂

Food 4/5. Momos not that flavorful. Samosas are ok, not best flakey crust. Entree paneer masala was good spice for medium and creamy. Very nice staff and quick service.
I ordered a lot from the menu and I am going to write a fair review irrespective of the great hospitality by the owner and superb service but at the end of the day it's all about food . I ordered garlic mint chicken, salmon fish curry , karahi chicken, chicken makhani , garlic naan and dhopzi which is a traditional bread . Also ordered chicken momo which was supposed to be the authentic dumplings but the taste was not great, didn't seem fresh and was not steamed properly, bit raw as well. Chicken makhani was sweet and i mean like a sweet dish which is not supposed to be the authentic taste of it Garlic mint chicken was just reheated which made it taste like rubber and was a bit cold after the bite. Fish curry was probably the only thing i liked here , felt homely and right balance of spices, quite perfectly cooked but I doubt it was salmon which I originally ordered but i could be wrong on this. Garlic naan was great but the curries couldn't compliment them at all The ambience is pretty great , i had big expectations. Owner is pretty courteous but food didn't impress me.

We came here seeing decent reviews but very disappointed with the food. The only decent item was saag chicken. Both dumplings and rice were not good at all. Chicken fried rice lacked flavor and was served almost cold as if they had microwaved before serving. Same with dumplings, they seemed to be from grocery store and were reheated as they turned cold immediately. I’d not recommend this place. Our server was friendly.

The service was really slow and food was not good either, i ordered paneer tikka masala and chana masala. Chana masala was watery and paneer tikka masala was sweet. The server / owner was rude as well and was trying to upsell by saying the qty of dish is less you should order more. Wont recommend
This place is horrible. We ordered chicken momo and chicken chowmein. Momo had no taste at all. Sauce was bland too. For Chowmein , they served us pad thai noodles, which was a huge disappointment for us. We ordered togo so we didn't find out until we got home. Service was good . But Nepalese people, if you're looking for authentic taste , please stay from this place.
Really bad experience. I love Tibetan and Nepalese cuisine, this is not it! The food is not fresh, is dry and looks just reheated in the microwave. The momos were totally not authentic momos, there was Indian curry veggies inside like the ones you put in the samosas. The bottom of the momos was wet and the dough was broken, and the top of the momos was super hard and dry. Terrible. I asked to have an alternative sauce as the one they serve is with ingredients I am allergic to, and he brought me the momos super dry and without any alternative dippin sauce even if he said he could help me out with my allergy.. and at the end I noticed he even put a wrong price to the momos, he charged them 1 dollar more than the menu price. Poor quality, poor service. Not recommended at all.
