I’ve been back a few times since my last visit, and I have to say they are much better after the rebranding. The tsukemen is just as good, if not better than before, and the prices are way more affordable now. I always ask for my tsukemen broth to be extra hot, and it hits every time. Big shoutout to Cici and Michael as well. They helped us out the other night and were awesome. Service has been smoother, the quality is consistent, and overall it feels like they’ve really stepped it up. I’ll definitely be back again soon.

First time visiting this place to try their Tsukemen and Tonkatsu. I am very critical with teste and portion sizes and the Deluxe Tonkatsu was very delicious as so was the Deluxe Tsukemen. The atmosphere felt very warm and welcoming, feeling modern yet still homey. They seated our party of 2 very quickly and it took a small wait for the food though you can really tell the care and quality that was put into each dish.

LATE OCT. 2025 UPDATED REVIEW: I'm really well acquainted with the tsukemen scene in SoCal, so I was surprised when I went to my usual spot here in Pasadena, and realized that they had changed their name (and also that their prices had gone down a bit). Jena was an excellent and professional server. I asked her about the subtle changes, and she did inform me that, indeed, the owner had cut ties with Tsujita in general, and had rebranded the restaurant as just Tsuke (short for Tsukemen, I assume), which also allowed them to lower prices. The quality is still there. One of the strongest contenders for best dipping noodles in SoCal by far. Love the thick, salty, briny broth, very filly and delicious tsukemen. Will definitely be back! PREVIOUS REVIEW: No amount of poorly-written AI reviews can do this awesome place justice, so as always, you're getting a human-written review from a human-experienced event. Yesenia was our server and she was a 10/10 all-around super professional server from the moment we set fot in the establishment. The food itself is unmatched. I have been to their San Gabriel location at least 3 or 4 times and this place is just as good in terms of flavor and quality. The ambiance is great, the server even went as far as lowering the window blinds after some new customers walked in and they sat close to one of the windows. Tsukemen will forever remain as my favorite kind of Ramen (it's basically cold noodles that you dip in a hot and salty broth served in a small bowl on the side). One of the assistant managers offered to help me in how to eat it but I was already familiar with the concept, so I thanked her for her offer and proceeded to eat. The fried chicken is another ball game, it's literally Japanese fried chicken but they also add a touch of some sort of honey-based syrup that makes it 100 times better. My parents had the tonkotsu and it was great too. Truly a remarkable experience in the heart of Old Town Pasadena.

Now this is a traditional noodle place, the portions are reasonable. The noodles are fresh, and the broth is full of flavors. I would definitely return for another visit, to be able to explore the other flavors. Luckily no wait time since it was near closing hours.

I stopped by this Tsujita Artisan noodle for their After Dark event that just recently launch. Tsujita is known for their ramen which I heard great things about but the menu when I came was for small bites. My favorite was the Charsiu Taco, Pork Gyoza and karaage. They also have some delicious beer like the Yusu beer. The customer service was amazing here and there a parking garage across the street.

Oh my gawdddf my boyfriend and I go here like every other week. We love tsujita (specifically this location) we would do anything to have it. Our last 50 dollars would be spent on tsujita. If we were broke we would still find a way to eat here. I’m your number one fan, aside from my boyfriend. I also think one of the workers recognizes us everytime we go. Anyways love this place 10/10 recommend!! if I was Gordon Ramsay I would give you an episode. Period. Love you guys, thanks for all the hard work😘❤️🙏🏼

Came in for ramen and had such a lovely experience thanks to the staff. Amber is the one who helped us and was incredibly sweet, kind, and patient, which honestly made our visit even better than expected. You can really tell when someone genuinely cares about customers. Food was great, but the service is what made this place stand out. Will definitely be back!

Saw a line for this place and decided to stop by on a whim. I was literally on my way to a different restaurant but I'm so glad I stopped by. Pasadena needed a good ramen spot and this is it. The wait was pretty short, the service was great-- Gloria took excellent care of us-- and the food was amazing! We got the karaage, gyoza and the jiro ramen. Everything was fresh, delicious and the chili paste on the table is top notch. I'll definitely be back.

Tsujita is definitely a go-to for ramen in Pasadena. While it's deservedly famous for its tsukemen and ramen (this place has the best quality noodles in the area), do not sleep on their Killer Noodles (with soup or without, adjust the heat and mala to your liking). My favorite noodle dish in the area! And you can finish up the sauce by adding the side of rice. On this trip, I ordered the kara age (big pieces, tender, crispy coating), which was delicious. For a simple ramen shop layout, one differentiator at Tsujita is the warm and attentive hospitality I notice every visit. I have had friends come in asking for modifications and they show great hospitality to accommodate. This visit, I also tried their kakigori (shaved ice dessert) and they gave me both flavors, saving me another stop at an ice cream shop. It's great to have them help anchor the Old Pasadena dining scene!

We came in on a Friday night around 5p and were seated right away. We got the Deluxe Tsukemen and the Tantanmen and both were delicious! 10/10 would recommend coming again next time we’re in Pasadena. Jenny was a great server who explained the menu to us, as this was our first time here. She also gave us Karaage on the house and it was heavenly. If you’re in the mood for ramen, this is the place to be!

The restaurant is nice with a nice flow and nice decor. I wanted to eat inside but unfortunately I had to order to go. The deluxe Tsukumen was rich and bold in flavors however a little salty for my taste. A Sapporo would’ve paired well with this. The Tantanmen was not good, it was very peanutty and the noodles were too thin. For the cost to flavor ratio,I would not recommend this place. I have had better ramen.

Tsujita is a great spot for ramen, especially if you're into dipping ramen (tsukemen). We're so happy they opened a new location here in Pasadena! The noodles are thick and chewy, served chilled alongside a rich, savory broth without being too salty. The contrast between the cold noodles and hot broth creates a satisfying balance, and it’s easy to see why this is their signature dish. We ordered two of the special deals, each priced at a reasonable $15.50. The deal includes a full portion of tsukemen with chashu and a seasoned egg, with a side of the homemade spicy miso paste for you to make your own spicyness. The portion itself is filling and well worth the price. The chashu was tender, the egg was perfectly cooked and marinated, and everything was served fresh. We also tried their traditional soup ramen, which offered a lighter but still flavorful broth for those who prefer a more classic style. To round out the meal, we ordered one of their rice bowls. It was simple and well-executed, with nicely seasoned sliced pork belly and properly cooked rice topped with delicious sauce and a half marinated egg. The service was friendly and efficient. Our food arrived quickly, and the staff made sure everything was in order without being overbearing. The atmosphere was casual and clean, with a comfortable layout that makes it easy to enjoy a meal whether you're dining solo or with friends. It’s a welcoming place that focuses on the food, which we appreciated. Overall, Tsujita delivers quality ramen with good variety, fair prices, and a relaxed atmosphere. Definitely a solid choice for anyone craving a satisfying bowl of noodles.

Staff was pretty friendly and welcoming when I came in with my friends yesterday! The food was super yummy however a little pricy. I would recommend coming here but be ready to pay a little more for small serving portions. Our waiter was very kind and helped my group have a great lunch. I would come back!!

I usually go to the location on Sawtelle and wanted to give this new(er) location a go. I would say that the food is 100% on point with the OG locations. What I really love about this one is that there’s plenty of public parking - which was always a bit stressful on in West LA. Servers were great (friendly, knowledge of the menu, helpful) but I think they are still working out some logistics in the kitchen (apps came out about 20 minutes after everything else - it happens).

It’s crazy that ramen is $20 these days but when it’s good it can be still worth it. Unfortunately it was not worth the price at Tsukita. When I compare the tsukemen ramen at Tsujita vs in Tokyo it’s not even close. At Taujita the dipping broth was watery and lacked flavour. The broth should be thick and full of flavour since it’s meant to stick to the noodles. Also the pork was dry and also lacked flavour. We also got the chicken Karage, which was strange since it was covered in a sweet sauce. So more like Korean fried chicken flavour. It tasted fine but not so authentic.

We ordered spice on the side and additional wood ear mushroom for additional $, but they not only remove the wood ear mushroom from the ramen, but also didn’t give us any extra. The spice is missing too! No one is answering the phone. Couldn’t find any other way to reach out to them neither. Paid extra for getting less?🫠

Great Tsukemen with top quality noodle, great chashu and most importantly very fishy and thick soup that you can experince the same quality soup as the ones in Japan. 3 stars because the service was poor especially towards our table. The guy who looks like a manager and another server never really came to our table to check on us besides delivering our food and bill but I saw them checking on other tables more often which was very odd.

Big fan of their broth. Had it many times at their SGV location. Came to their Pasadena location on a Monday at 7PM. Not super busy (several tables open). Wasn’t greeted or acknowledged for about 3-5 minutes, so I left hence the 1-star service rating.

WeI recently visited Tsuke Artisan Noodles during a busy lunchtime, which I was prepared for, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from start to finish. We ordered a few milk teas, a gyoza appetizer, and two of their ultra deluxe ribeye and black truffle ramen. Sadly, the ramen arrived first about 10 minutes in before the appetizer, which really threw off the meal flow. By the time the gyoza came out, we were already eating our main dish, and the gyoza itself had a crumbly filling that didn’t feel like a proper gyoza at all. To add to that, it took around 15-20 minutes for the drinks to arrive, and at that point, I was frustrated enough to cancel one of the milk teas altogether. Even though they offered it for free, it was just too late. As for the ultra-deluxe ribeye and black truffle ramen, at $48, it was underwhelming. The ribeye was thin, the truffle didn’t taste authentically rich more like a cheaper substitute and the overall flavor was just not up to the price point. In short, the timing, the quality, and the overall experience really didn’t live up to expectations. I hope they can improve their service flow and quality, but as of now, I can’t say I’d recommend it.

My Fiancé and I wanted some late ramen. Looked up this place having some good reviews. Never been here before so I ordered tsukemen deluxe. The waiter comes with our food and explained how to eat it. I didn’t know the broth was on the side so I poured mine in to the bowl. I asked if I can get extra broth because it got cold fast. The waiter laughed and explained again how to it after I asked for extra broth. She leaves to bring the broth and my fiancé sees that she’s laughing telling her coworkers about the situation. She comes back with the broth and still is laughing about it. She leaves and comes back again just asking for the chile sauces and the ginger when we were still eating. After that I felt a bit uncomfortable eating my food. Which is very unprofessional and so rude for her to do that. We’re definitely won’t come back here again!
