Ate here again 2 days ago. Food still as good, friendly staff, and clean too. Inexpensive buffet. Good place to eat.
Traveled through on the way to Cicinnati...DELICIOISO!!! Had the smothered green beef & potato burrito while the rest of the family had tacos. We alloved it. The owner is super friendly...the restrooms we're pretty rough and the place seems like it's in the middle of improvement, but all in all...great
Goin north or south this place a gr8 stop! Again I stop! fish Friday another surprise! gr8 stop! Don't miss this place!
It wasnt welcoming but the food was good the menudo was really good.
Food there is great and good service...
Staff is kind and courteous, I had the beef fajitas and they were very good. Nice sit down place to eat
Food was good. Crisp, fresh chips and spicy salsa. Friendly staff. Looks like it is in the middle of a remodel.
Not only was it delicious but the price was awesome cheap but delicious can not wait to come back for supper
Family owned home cooking! All you can eat! You can't beat it!!
Good food with a buffet or you can order individual plates, staff was very friendly!!!
Friendly , clean , good food , fair pricing ❤️
Really good Brisket burritos And the Asado (Pork in Red Chile) was Awesome! And for $4.50 each is a Really good Deal! Will come here ALL the time when I'm near-by!
They had a huge menu but We had the buffet here and I was a little sceptical and in no way wanted MORE Mexican food. However, we decided to settle with this place. They had fried chicken, green beans, corn, mashed potatoes and gravy, salad bar, and then I saw the Mexican food!... They had these little beef and potato empenada/gordita pockets.....SHUT UP.....YUM! THEY WERE VERY GOOD ESPECIALLY WITH THE HOMEMADE SALSA! The gentleman who waited on us was super nice and seemed to be the owner and his wife was steadily bringing fresh homemade food to the buffet. Alongside the empanadas they had tamales....eeehhh...they were tasty but not enough meat. There was also beans, rice, and desert.....I'm Cajun and they did a bang up job on the bread pudding as well! The atmosphere is that of a dairy Queen and it's a oil field town but its definitely a great place to eat over all! I will go back.
This place is great will be coming back next time I'm in town for work. I had the pancakes and my girlfriend had the fired chicken and both where served hella hot and fresh and delicious.
Absolutely amazing! Everything we tried was full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The brisket burrito was tender and juicy, the asada burrito was seasoned just right, and the tacos de pastor plate were hands down my favorite, so flavorful and authentic. Portions were generous and everything tasted fresh. You can really tell they put care into their food. Definitely coming back and recommending this place to everyone!
I've been coming here for years way back in my oil field days and was passing threw and had to stop. They have the best Chile Verde ever and still thr best probably in all of Texas hands down
Very good food 😋
Our family loves his green enchilada sauce, and the kids love the Mac n Cheese. Of course the fried chicken is always a favorite too... it's a great menu!
Atmosphere leaves a little bit to be desired (bit of renovation in the dining area, but COVID-19 is the perfect time to do it so I can't blame them). The food and hospitality MORE THAN makes up for it! This is prime texmex comfort food. The salsa was flavorful and spicy, and the taco shells were homemade and crunchy. The wait staff was friendly and attentive.
The food was delicious and the got a buffet or you can order off the menu
Ate a great dinner thanks to El Rodeo. Order Chicken Fajitas. Loved the food i ordered. Girlfriend got been and cheese tacos. She loved her food. Great place to stop to eat if you are passing through town!!! Also have to note- that I had left my wallet behind on the table! The man who was working there found me and returned it. Amazing.
El Rodeo isn’t just a restaurant, it’s an experience. From the moment you walk in, the smell of fresh Mexican food lets you know you’re about to eat GOOD. The buffet is loaded with flavorful, freshly made dishes that never feel boring, and the Mexican plates are next-level—rich, authentic flavors and portions that leave you more than satisfied. Everything tastes homemade and full of tradition. It’s no exaggeration to say this is the best Mexican food in West Texas. If you haven’t eaten here yet, you’re seriously missing out.
Enlarged seating area with widescreen to hear news. Same consistent menu, buffet or separate menu items. Needs some restroom repairs. A cozy atmosphere. Quite. Buffet mix of comfort & Mexican blend.
The food was good. The people were great. Just wish the buffet was a little more... Well more. Not a lot of selection, at least on the day I went.
I was there on Wednesday night I was sceptical at first but wow awesome food great atmosphere friendly staff food was hot great selection of the many items they offered some made to order and a great buffet if only for a short sit down or bring the family I've worked in Pecos Texas off and on for many years and I I would highly recommend you give it a try and ( enjoy) I'll be back again someday bw
Food was ok but for almost $14 including tax it's not worth it. very little selection in food chicken an gorditas main entrees that's it For stars cause the peach cobbler was delicious need ice cream tho
Fried chicken, rice, beans and salad fixings are very good. Buffet is like 12.50. Not bad for Pecos tx.
I've alwaya enjoyed this place. Nithing too fancy but the atmosphere is great. Today, my enchiladas and my prego waitress were, well, exceeded expectations.
Food was ok, very reasonably priced, staff is super nice.
Very nice folks! Food was pretty good. They were very friendly about customizing.
The food and service were good, definitely will come back.
Very good Mexican buffet for the price. Food was fresh and well seasoned. Will definitely return.
Good food and friendly family. Menudo was good
Good food. Love the buffet.
The people are so friendly and food is good but I guess warmers are not working properly because food is not hot on the buffet line. But service and food is good and place is clean.
I guess they were short of employees, this young lady was running around serving. They left people wait too long but all the rest were very friendly, smily. The place needs renovating, and the menudo was a little too oily but great taste, with two pieces of bread, toasted. Besides the bad points I enjoy eating there. I will definitely comeback. Thank you rodeo.
Was a little nervous to try this place out given I am normally not a buffet fan. Ended up going for breakfast and they didn't have the buffet going anyway. I ordered the biscuits and gravy. The price was very reasonable as I got 6 biscuits and a drink for about $10. I was amazed at the biscuits. No hyperbole, they were some of the best I have had in my travels. Fluffy, soft, not crispy at all. Basically perfect!; I went back 2 days later to see if it was a fluke, and they were just as good if not slightly better. Highly recommend!!
I ordered 2 egg and bacon burritos and asked to add cheese and potatoes.... unfortunately they no speaka duh English. I got two burritos one with only cheese and potatoes and the other had egg and bacon only.. still good food tho, I'd come back if they move it out of this dump called pacos texas
Simple restaurant, is not bad at all for what you pay for. Average price is 15 compared to other restaurants 25.
The Carne Asada plate was good after I added salt, pepper and lime. The hot sauce was meh. No spice or flavor. I added salt and it was edible. On the thin side you don't get too much on your chip. The Carne Asado plate my fiance had he enjoyed. The chips were homemade but some were soggy, it was weird. I was given a dirty fork, when we were served our meals. The waiter promptly replaced it. The atmosphere is like that of a school cafeteria. The interior is old and outdated. The inside flooring is uneven and there was a hole in the floor near our table. 2 children kept running around, no supervision. I so not recommend.
Not what I would really consider a "Mexican" restaurant. Heated up frozen food on the buffet. Wasn't horrible, but nothing homemade.
I was hoping to get authentic Mexican food, but it’s more like a fast food place then a home cooked meal. I got the chicken fajita plate and it was just blah. The chicken was dry, and the taste was kind of bland. I would not recommend it as quality food that tastes great. Disappointing as I am not in Texas often.
Forget about the English part I ordered 2 eggs and potato But they added bacon and sausage I AM SUPER GLAD I DID NOT TOUCH THE BACON AND SAUSAGE I have been with diarrea for 4 days already I went to other restaurants and i never dad diarrea The eggs tasted like garbage You are better off picking up food in the garbage believe me
If you into high school cafeteria food, this is the place for you. One of my crew ordered off the menu, they forgot his order, and he was not too pleased with what he got.
We found a stand of hair in 2 of our burritos. It is hard to rate the food after that.
The most pathetic buffet ever! Usually come on Sundays when menudo and caldo are available, but as a person with gout, I can't have beef, or dark meat chicken. 2x I requested white meat breast and I was told it will be taken to my table. 20 min later my grandfather is done eating and all Ive had is a spoon of corn and green beans ( bland as HELL). I asked for a partail refund but I was told that once you touch the buffet, no refund is issued. That's the sorriest excuse of policy I've ever heard of and one that will surely kill this revived Mc Donald's that will have you quite the opposite of "I'm loving it!" For the record I made my case clear to the cashier but the owner wouldn't budge. Just one last note, She THINKS she makes KFC flavored chicken having past history with the chain, but it's just sorry, greasy, mostly flavorless chicken. If you want KFC, It's back, drive the .4 mi down the ways for a real KFC experience.
I quit going here . The food looks like left overs , and I have seen a bug at the counter on one of the stack of plates one time only once though. The owner once gave me his number to call if I wanted to place a call in order, several times I've called he never answers this includes texts as well haha 😂.( Personal cell phone number) The place is rarely ever packed and if you go down the street other restaurants you can't even get in the doors it's so packed . When I told the owner I call the number he gave me for call in orders he really couldn't explain why he doesn't answer and I can tell he didn't like me pointing that out ,so I got the cold shoulder treatment a few times after that , it got to the point where portions like beans and rice were spoon size , I'd send it back to get normal size portions. You may try it and love it you can decide for yourself God bless you. For me though I can assure you Pecos has plenty of other options. This restaurant has the advantage of being Infront of hwy 285 which I believe is it's saving grace 😆. Your experience may widely differ, I suggest you try it then make a decision.
The Food was terrible They re dip the fried chicken, steaks and pork chops from the buffet into the deep fryer to make it look like it's fresh and everything else seems like it came out of a can and or a box. I would definitely not recommend it at all.
Oh dear God no! I have It one star because It wouldn't let me zero stars. It was terrible. It looks disgusting when you walk in. Are you Mexican food or a fried chicken joint? Doesn't matter really, the food was awful. I got beef enchiladas. The red sauce came straight from a can, it had a tinny taste. The plate was hot, the food was cold. There was a bug in the salt shaker. Gaaaaaross. The cashier was very sweet though.
This place has bad service. We stopped here on our way home from Dallas. My Wife ordered tacos and my mom and i ordered enchiladas and son ordered flautas. My wife got her tacos a little after. These two gentleman walked in about 10 min after ordered their food and shortly received their food before we did. I went up to the front and asked about my food and they told me they didnt even out the order in. I asked for a refund because i waited for about 30 min and didnt get no food. The owner or manager asked if i was mad how the hell am i not going to be mad if the people that arrived after us recieved their food before us. I have heard from several people that they are prejeduce against other Mexicans. The hell with that place.
