I’ve had Pollo Campero many times in Guatemala, so I was excited to finally try a U.S. location when I was in the area. I ordered the 2-piece chicken meal with a side. I only eat breast meat, and the substitution was $1.80 upcharge. I followed the staff’s recommendation and tried both the fried and grilled chicken. The chicken was juicy, and cooked well, not overdone, which breast meat can easily become. That said, nothing about it really stood out or felt memorable. For my side, I chose the yuca fries. They tasted good, but the portion was very small almost like they were counting how many went into the box. The meal also comes with a choice of a dinner roll or a tortilla. I chose the dinner roll but didn’t receive it (possibly because they initially set it up for dine in instead of to got. Drinks are not included with the meal. On the positive side, the staff was friendly and took the time to explain the menu. The dining area and behind the counter appeared clean and well kept. My total came to $12.58. Overall, if you are looking for a quick lunch doesn’t hurt swinging by.

We went to the location in Pembroke pines and it was pretty much empty given it was only 1:00 p.m. We kind of waited for a long time even though this is supposed to be a fast food place, and the floors were very slippery, like greasy. I did let the stuff know, and they acknowledged, and thanked me for the input. Our food finally came in, and the chicken was cold, like it has been waiting on the counter for a long time. We did not say anything. Two more people showed up, and the very first thing they noticed was that their table was dirty. They asked for the table to be clean. The chicken was very tasty though. Too bad it was cold, room temperature. I feel that particular restaurant needs to work on their system.

I recently visited this new location near my home, hoping to enjoy the familiar taste of Campero like back home in Honduras. The chicken did not disappoint—it was really good. However, the sides were a letdown. The rice was undercooked and overly salty, the beans had way too much cumin and were inedible for me, and the coleslaw was just dry chunks of cabbage with almost no dressing. I’d give the experience a 7 out of 10, mainly because the chicken was solid. Pricing felt a bit high—my 2-piece meal cost $20, and that didn’t include a drink. There was also a $1.80 upcharge for a breast, and the meal only came with one side. Any additional sides were nearly $4 each. Overall, great chicken, but the sides and pricing could definitely use some improvement.

So today 13/07/25 was the first time trying campero, ordered a 8 piece and a chicken sandwich, the chicken sandwich unfortunately had a piece of plastic in it presumably from the sauce packet they used for the spicy sandwich, I was halfway into the sandwich already… but the 8 piece was good. The plastic was my only complaint

The fries were rubbery, which is something I never experienced before. There were no utensils or napkins in the bag. I ended up giving two stars since the mango juice, plantains, and roll were good. Disappointed that it didn’t live up to my memory or expectations.

This company should train their associates. In services and how to serve fast, because you are a "fast food". I visited Doral and Pembroke restaurants, and it was the same poor service.

Nothing good to say about this place, small portions, bland chicken or extremely salty chicken no in between, if you want white meat you have to wait 40 minutes or they will just not tell you they have none ready and just give you dark meat only, they have deals that pop on on the screen but you can only get those deals on the app supposedly which doesn't make sense, the fountain drink machine was down and didn't even give water. This place is run very poorly I don't recommend going or at least give it like 6 months to hopefully get better before you go.

The food is good, but this specific location has a problem with supply. I have never been to a chicken place that is so consistently out of white meat, bread, and certain sides. It’s almost as if the manager isn’t very good at ordering for his location. It’s very disappointing, and I can understand why the line is almost always empty now.

Horrible customer service. Horrible food. I went in for the first time and the cashier caught an attitude because I wasn't speaking Spanish. The food took more than 20 minutes to make so I went up an asked how long and she completely ignored me then about 5 minutes later brought the food to the table like she seriously couldn't give me an update. Never again

My boyfriend had to get up and ask for napkins because there weren’t any available, and the manager responded with an attitude. To be honest, McDonald’s offers better quality food at a comparable price. I will never return to this establishment. I fail to comprehend how it remains in business.

Was told food wouldn’t be ready for 30 minutes and to cancel my order via app. Which I did. App has no cancelation button, therefore wrote an email. Customer service team told me I was wrong as they were informed I picked up my food. That was all they could go on, their word. Will not be eating at this location again. Strong pass

I went to buy a chicken today when I placed the order to the cashier I recommended that I put sauces in my order I got home I opened the bag and there wasn't even a packet of sauce there I was very hungry and it made me very angry since that was the first thing I recommended to the cashier second I have a service dog and they wouldn't want it to be in the place which is incorrect since I have all the documentation that it is a service dog and educated I left very upset and finally I got home to dinner and nothing appeared what I talked about and asked the cashier at the house I felt very bad about this whole situation on my part I will never return and on my part I will not give them a star I am so angry my time is valuable and my money too and service dogs in the United States are very valuable. something that personally they have no knowledge about this I will never return to this place .. and the food is very salty and the soft drinks are very sweet. and the food is very salty and the soft drinks are very sweet

I ordered online and arrived on my pickup time. Waited in line and told the cashier I had a pickup order with my name. He looked at the pickup orders on the rack and then went in the back and told me it would be 3 minutes. I proceed to wait an additional 20 minutes and asked him about the order again. He looked and the rack and my order was sitting there the whole time. I get in my car and open the bag and it’s missing half of the items I ordered also cold. I was given my refund after explaining to the employee and the manager (who were both looking at my receipt) what was wrong with my order. I will also note that the portions are very small for what you pay. There are plenty of better places to eat in the area. Don’t come here.

I was really disappointed with my recent order. The restaurant forgot both the coleslaw and the fresh fries, which were part of the meal. Even worse, the chicken was undercooked and had visible blood inside, which is a serious food safety issue. I couldn’t eat it at all. I’ve had good experiences here before not at this location (Pembroke pines), but this time was unacceptable. I hope the team takes this feedback seriously and improves their quality control
