We've eaten with the Christopher and Fraser at 63 Tay St 3 times now since November. Each time has been simply superb. Frasers creations from the kitchen are superbly complemented by Christopher's selection of wines to accompany the meal. The use of local ingredients really stands out. The service is first class and we love the ambiance in the restaurant. A warm welcome is always guaranteed. For the quality on offer pricing is very reasonable. Very well done to you all.

Much better than the several Michelin stared restaurants I've been to! Amazing set of dishes from start to finish Beautifully presented and impeccably balanced amazing ingredients Just way beyond expectations Bravo, it was an absolute privilege to be at this wonderful restaurant. I had the pleasure of lunch at Number 63 on Saturday. We opted for the surprise menu and it did not disappoint! The most beautiful and tasty bowl of parsnip soup with garnishes and oil drizzled (quite beautiful to look at, even better to eat!), then a game samosa and curried bulgur wheat followed by mouth melting beef cheek with truffled butter beans and crispy leeks, then a trio of inspiring chocolate themed deserts including the most delicious honeycomb chocolate tart, and ice cream with a coconut tulle. Super service plus an elegant atmosphere with local artworks displayed on the walls made this a very satisfying experience.

Had such a wonderful experience this evening enjoying their tasting menu with the wine pairings.

Four of us went for the lunch and wine flight today and it was excellent. Two of us were vegetarian and the other two had the usual menu. Each dish was lovely and the wine complimented everything beautifully. The sommelier was great at explaining the different wines and was very knowledgeable. All in all, a terrific experience and not to be missed! Thanks to all concerned for making a birthday very special.

Fantastic food, exemplary service, excellent pairing of wine with the four courses. 63 has to be the most charming restaurant in Perth, the quality of the dishes, with the finest of touches, made this a truly memorable evening. My dining companion from Edinburgh was blown away by every aspect of the restaurant, including the price. We look forward to the next iteration of the menu, and fervently hope the whisper of Sunday lunch at the end of the month becomes reality. We had the most fantastic meal here on Saturday evening. The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the food - to the point where some of the fruit in our dessert came from their garden! Each course was delicious and for a tasting menu it is well priced and good value for money. The chicken course was out of this world! Will definitely be back!

Was kindly given a 4 course midweek voucher for 63 Tay Street which we used recently. We were made to feel very welcome from the get go, the food was EXCELLENT (and explained to us very well), the service was brilliant and the atmosphere was great too. Would thoroughly recommend giving this place a try - we will definitely be back! Thank you for having us!

We opted for the 5 course taster menu "Just feed us Fraser" with a wine flight which is optional. We were looked after by Natalia and Christopher during our visit which was Second to None. Everyone at the table opted not to know what each dish was before hand(except me 😂) this made it a more enjoyable experience for all when Christopher explains each dish in detail. He then explains which wine he has selected to accompany the dish and why it goes so well with it. I even ate a dish I had never tried and would never have ordered but it looked so good. To top off our visit Fraser the chef came to our table to chat with us which added to a memorable and enjoyable evening with great friends great food and excellent wine. Today I ordered a bottle of Andrew Quady 'Essensia' Orange Muscat I enjoyed it that much 😁 Thank you to everyone at 63 Tay Street for a most enjoyable evening and we hope to return soon

People of Perth, make sure you visit this restaurant; its superb, a real gem. It serves superbly coked and beautifully presented modern Scottish cuisine with real flair and invention, adding twists to dishes that celebrate Scottish ingredients. We paired our lunch with the wine flights and so each of the four courses was enhanced by a different wine, that each time, fully complemented the food. I think it's a real addition to Perth's dining scene. I'm now planning how to incorporate a return visit into my next trip to Scotland.

The setting is intimate, the service is excellent and the food is awesome. A great treat. Awesome tasting menu. If you can get the deal on "itison" then it's a great introduction. If you don't have a favourite wine on the menu then the taster flight is a good deal.

I was in recently with my fiancee for dinner on a Saturday night. Very small restaurant so make sure you book in advance. We went for the 5 course tasting menu and the house flight for drinks. While on the expensive side I can honestly say I enjoyed every single bite of every course and the wine pairings were fantastic. The duck and pistachio cake were heavenly. Would highly recommend for a nice occasion.

Wonderful restaurant for exquisitely prepared dishes with amazing flavours. Really good for groups, corporate and special occasions. Be sure to get the matching wines which perfectly enhance the individual courses. We have not had a better meal in Scotland, and this is better than a vast majority of Michelin stared restaurants in all of the UK. If you want the best food , this is the best choice by far. Thanks again for an amazing evening.

We had been looking forward to our visit for some weeks. The welcome was warm and friendly. The decor and ambience homely. Quality furnishings, decor and table ware - all contributed to a feeling of luxurious informal indulgence. The tasting menu was excellent. Well balanced with a thought through progression of flavours and different proteins. The attention to detail was amazing. From the Orkney Bere sourdough with confit garlic butter and wasabi butter through the Isle of White heritage tomato soup. It began on a very promising note. Then followed west coast sea trout, grated goose egg yolk, samphire and next was Carnoustie rare breed confit pineapple marinated pork with candied pecans, mash, heritage carrot and a jus to die for. Dessert was a lovely cake with Aberfeldy blue berries and a lovely curd. A cheese plate with six cheeses, an extraordinary balsamic caramelised onion chutney and a selection of crackers rounded off a wonderful evening. The wine list was expensive with a huge range of varieties from around the world. Service was perfectly paced with a full description of each course and the opportunity to ask questions. This was our first visit. It won't be our last.

An excellent meal in a relaxed atmosphere. The host took time to explain each course. My wife and I had the 4 for 44. Fantastic value for money and the flavours were a delight, the dessert was one of the best I've ever had. Perth is blessed with a few top eateries and this is up there with the best. We will definitely be back.

Fantastic Scottish restaurant on the River Tay in Perth. We loved the “Just feed us Fraser” 6 course tasting menu. Artwork, decor & ambience was perfect. Food was amazing & we would highly recommend for some delicious Scottish produce. Thanks for the great experience Chris & Fraser.

Michelin star quality experience!! If you want an amazing quality gourmet evening with the best matched wines we have ever experienced, definitely this is the best in Scotland. It's a place to drive to from Edinburgh or Glasgow with an ever changing tasting menu. I don't know how this hasn't been awarded a Michelin star or two... We have dined at many Michelin starred places in the UK and this was at the very top. Seriously, thank you guys for such a wonderful night, as usual.

Incredible experience with the tasting menu. Every course was spectacular and explained in detail. As wine novices the staff were fantastic and explained what they would recommend and why, and hit it spot on. Atmosphere is calm and cosy, great music choices too but quiet enough you can still hold a conversation without it being overwhelmed. Can't fault. Friendly and helpful staff, great food, great wine. Feel very lucky that we stumbled across this wee gem

I had the 5-course surprise tasting menu "Just Feed Us" and enjoyed all the dishes. Lovely colour design, textures and mix of ingredients altogether. It was truly designed with surprises all along. Good portion for each dish and carefully measured and paced out to feed the eager and hungry.

Had a wonderful private dining celebration here with family and friends for my husband’s 60th birthday . Christopher helped me organise the event and even set up the room with balloons and banners. The food was amazing. Would definitely recommend. Thanks to the staff the chef is a superstar

We arrived for dinner this evening and although disappointed to learn the menu off the website was different to the menu we were offered, that was where the disappointment ended. Food was excuisite. The chef is extremely talented. Staff attentive and friendly. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Would highly recommend 🙏😊

A first class and rare dining experience is to be had at 63 Tay Street. If exceptional customer service and food is what you are after then you won't be disappointed. 10/10

I dined here on Tuesday evening. The restaurant was quiet,but it has a lovely atmosphere. The front of house staff were very welcoming and i was warmly greeted even though i have never been here before. I chose from the main dinner menu, however i was intrigued by the soup from the 4 for £22 Board and asked if i could have it as an intermediate course. The waitress said she would enquire, the result was affirmative, I'm glad it was as it was a delicious concoction of jerusalem artichoke, crumbled black pudding and a very light lemon whip, which all tasted magically. This followed my starter of partridge with red chicory slightly acidic chick peas and burnt apple a beautiful combination and so light to begin my first foray into the cooking skills of this restaurant. My main course of lamb rump was cooked pink (yum, yum) and the char grilled celeriac cubes and sauce served with it was a pleasure to eat. My exit to the meal of a maple panna cotta with a bramble (blackberry) compote was just the way to finish off. The service throughout was unobtrusive, with a little chit chat, which again made me feel welcome, which is difficult when you are a single male of a certain age. On departure i was allowed to pop my head around the kitchen door and offer my compliments to the chefs for a wonderful meal. Long may they continue in their efforts to please the fine citizens of Perth and it will not be long till i return from 200 miles south to revel in the delights of a newly found gem.

We had amazing night here, all courses were amazing, the wine flight was well explained, and the general ambience was really good, so we will defiantly be back again soon.

I had a lovely lunch here with friends. Service is friendly and impeccable. Food is delicious. We are keen to return to try the dinner menu. Worth every penny.

My first visit to 63 Tay Street for the 4 course for £24 " surprise me' lunch with a colleague. This is an undocumented set menu and is all that is available at lunch at present: a sensible policy in these difficult times. Pleasant, quiet dining room with attentive but unobtrusive and well paced service. All four dishes were of a very high quality and a pleasure to eat: lovely lunch and highly recommended. I shall return very soon to this oasis of calm and accomplished cooking.

I had the set menu every meal was amazing and I tried thing's I would have not chosen normally. The staff are helpful and friendly.

Great food and friendly service, possibly the best steak I have ever had, call ahead if you are taking kids, they don't have a kids menu but will get stuff in. They got chicken nuggets in for my kids. 10/10 for service

Good food and the pre-theatre (before 1730 hrs) is recommended. Either 3 courses from a menu or a 4 course sampler for £22. The sampler meals are chosen by the chef and you will not know what they are before ordering. Good for the adventurous. Wine starts at £22 a bottle and there is a £15 option for the sampler menu. A chosen drink with each course. I had black pudding with pheasant and is thoroughly recommended. Service and decor to a very high standard.

Nice relaxed meal, ambience was good. Food was excellent as was the wine advice. Staff friendly and the service was flawless.

Dreadful customer service. Our friends gave us a voucher for a very special birthday which we couldn’t use last year because we were both ill at various times. We did try to book in November but they are closed on the night we could make it. We’ve now tried to book this year but as the voucher is just a few weeks out of date they won’t honour it which seems ridiculous as the voucher was for two of the chef’s tasting menus and all paid for so they have had the money. We had actually already booked a table and Richard the manager was quite friendly but when he heard we were using a voucher (even though it was a gift voucher!) he suddenly changed tone and said he didn’t have the table available! We would have been spending a lot more than the voucher on wine and champagne as it’s a birthday celebration but he clearly didn’t care at all. It’s so shortsighted and speaks volumes about their attitude to good caring customer service. What a shame, we won’t be back.

Went in to buy vouchers for an anniversary, had two children with me but we were not eating here. Chris - front of house looked us up and down and did everything possible to be rude and unhelpful. Never experienced such poor service in my life. When asking about vouchers was told just to print them off online not ideal if you don’t have those facilities. Went to a different restaurant in St. John’s square where service is always brilliant and customers are not judged. Lost sales and several word of mouth reviews.
