Really enjoyed eating here! Celebrated my daughter's birthday, it was a fun and family friendly vibe. The portions are tasty and giant. Loved seeing the beef ribs on the menu, dont be fooled by the picture- its a massive plate.
While I do agree with other reviewers here on Google that it does not have the atmosphere of the original Cattlemens in Petaluma, I still had a wonderful dinner here regardless. Started out with a bloody Mary and a shrimp cocktail. Both were fabulous. But before any of that was even considered I had like half a loaf of sourdough bread and butter in front of me in less than two minutes. Got the 2 pound porterhouse with mashed potatoes and a salad all top-notch food. Steak was a perfect medium rare potatoes were creamy and delicious and the salad was…well a dinner salad. Still good though, just nothing fancy. All in all great place for dinner.
I had been to the old Cattlemens years ago. This new Cattlemens is so nice and new. The food is to die for. So yummy. It's so flavorful. We recommend the rib eye and a hen house tap beer.
The Rohnert park "cattlemens" is our go to for steak, ribs and lobster, great friendly staff consistently great food! Definitely worth the drive from Novato. --Perry
We had a great experience at the new Cattlemens. I definitely recommend getting a reservation, especially while its still new in Rohnert Park. We had a reservation and still waited, probably 10 minutes or so to be seated, but the service was great, and the food was crazy good. We ordered way too much but want to try a lot. Everything we had was great and came out in perfect time.

We checked in at 6pm, and we were seated within 5 minutes. Destiny and her trainer were our servers and did an excellent job. From the salad and calamari appetizer, all was fresh and delicious. Main course dishes of salmon sirloin steaks were excellent. Highly recommend!
Had the Prime Rib, oh it made the perfect ending to a long day. Very relaxed atmosphere but with top notch food. Our server was awesome, and took care of me and my crew. I'll be back!
This place always has phenomenal food and great variety to choose from. The waiters and waitresses are always great. The point of this review really is to absolutely commend the food runners, hostesses and bussers. They are the only reason that you are able to get a table without a crazy wait on a Friday or Saturday night and have all of your food and drinks brought to you timely and hot. If it wasn’t for them this place would easily have 2-3 hour wait times and the service would be sub par. Applause and credit to the staff here keeping this place rocking on the weekends. Always a choice for us on the weekends and never have a worry about the service, food, or atmosphere here. 100/100!
Crazy good for Prime Rib!' My husband said it was the 2nd best- prime rib he's ever had his whole life! Great big giant delicious salad, mashed potatoes and hot bread. I had the hot artichoke heart appetizer and the potatoe skins ! Perfect and delicious 😋 The service was amazing!
Our go to place for flavorful Ribeyes. Rohnert Park is not as quiet as others that we have been to, but we still highly recommend Cattlemens for celebrating an event or just when you are craving a really good steak. Service is always friendly and efficient. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Best steak we've had in years. Good value for the money. The deep fried apple pie with ice cream is beyond delicious. It took 4 of us to finally finish it. Yum Our new place to go for birthdays, celebrations, and maybe an occasional weekday treat. The staff was awesome. They took care of every request quickly (more delicious bread and butter) and cheerfully. Made us, party of 4, feel 'special'.
Hanburger was under cooked and then burnt and under cooked when we asked to remake it, they just reheated the same burger. Steak was ok nothing special. We did the 2 for $81 meal. Apple pie and onions strings were best part of meal. Mashed potatoes were good too. Probably won't be back due to price + quality.
We came at peak weekend dinner time on the second day they were open and the place was packed, with an hour wait for a table. However there was open seating in the bar area and we were able to grab a high top right away. The service and food were excellent. It isn't as cozy inside at the Petaluma one, but still nice, and a lot closer to home for us. We'll definitely be back. Edit: Came back again and my steak was undercooked, my partner's burger was overcooked, and my water glass was constantly empty. I think it really depends on the day. Dropping one star only because it was so good the first time.
Cattlemens isn't what it used to be, it's still good but not like "get excited about going to cattlemens" good. The legendary margarita is terrible and so is their Paloma. Stick to beer and simple well/call drinks. Nice and cold. The ribeye i got, looked and tasted like a NY, isn't as marbled and tasty as my preferred ribeye. And the 6oz filet is laughable. The mashed potatoes aren't creamy like they used to be and the artichoke dip is very sour tasting and so oily, not creamy and delicious. I sent it back. So food is just ok. The service was great though, even as busy as they were and it looks very nice and welcoming just got to get the food back to how it was, this was not a happy anniversary dinner. But my cat was happy she got steak for the last few days!
We had a party of 8...the waitress did a fantastic job explaining and remembering what we each ordered. We had a mix of burgers, ribs, and steaks....Everyone was happy with their food and said they'd choose Cattlemans again.
I liked it here! We got the dinner for 2, and it comes with a LOT of food. Bread, an appetizer, 2 entrees (each come with 2 sides), and a dessert for 80 bucks. As a steakhouse does, they cooked their mest well. I like my steak rare, and I'm often used to restaurants overcooking the meat. But they didnt here! We had the fried apple pie for dessert, yum! It came with vanilla icecream and had beautiful presentation. Please excuse the eaten food, but I was taking a picture to show the sheer amount of plates!

First time in to one of these restaurants, and wasn’t sure what to expect. Wasn’t asked if we’d been in to one before, or given a rundown of drinks, apps, what’s included, and anything else to get new customers familiarized with the restaurant. Salad was fresh and flavorful. Fresh bread was divine. Prime rib was a bit fatty, but tasty. 6oz filet was incredible! Cooked to perfection (med-rare) and just MELTED in my mouth!! Only thing that would make it even better would be bacon-wrapped. Baked potato could have been cooked a little longer, but still good. Garlic fries were cold :/ Beans were also a bit cool and got cold pretty quick. Overall, worth every penny. Will definitely remember this steakhouse for future dining.

Not so sure i want to return anytime soon. At least until they have a new crew. I got there at opening of 4 pm. A family following behind me tried to cut in. I was a part y of two, (seniors) and one of the receptionists didnt know where to put us. The other receptionist said let them sit where ever they want. Then she immediately remarked, " Put them outside!" . Off she went taking us to the door that goes outside. I stopped abruptly and said I didnt come all this way to be shuffled outside the building. Next she drops us like a hot potato and gets another receptionist to take us to the bar boths with rowdy drinkers acting up. I didn t come to Cattlemans to watch people get skunked at the bar and wanted a nice quiet seating. I explained it to the receptionist. So we get shuffled into the delay seating and they take my texting number. Here comes in a gentleman to get seating to eat. The receptionist kindly asks if he wanted to eat outside. He got ticked off and told them he came to be inside. Well well well , they tried to get us outside not asking and yet they asked this gentleman. How inconsiderate. So my text buzzer goes off and its cattlemans but the receptionist is standing there already wanting to give us a booth. Thier people really get upset if you defy them trying to set you where they want you. So were eating and the crew and management is hovering over us trying to take every dish and utensil they think we look like we're not using. They would keep coming by every 2 minutes giving us the rush seeing if we're ready to go. I had one dish with a buttered bread on it and they couldn't wait to take it away from me. These people are wierd. It must have drove them nuts that I was talking and not finishing that bread. The kept eyeballing our dining and finally they had the nerve to ask if I was going to finish my bread. I let them remove it inleu wasting their food for trying to rush us. Another family came in and recieved difficulty for seating and they were getting employees hovering over them as well. Suddenly a man breaks out yelling at the management for some damn thing . My eating experiance was starting to feel like that angered man. Anyway the place got quiet for a while and he left in a huff after yelling and slamming the front door and the vibration went through the walls into my booth.
Ordered pork baby back ribs. Outside of ribs was dried out and inedible. Served bbq sauce on side. Seemed like the were cooked way in advance. Husband had NY sirloin which was very good and cooked medium rare as he ordered.
I wish this place was still an Outback Steakhouse. The server we had was training someone and they were both great, took a litttttttle long to get our drinks and appetizer but I can only imagine how busy it gets back there so I won't hold that against them lol Anyways, food was alright, shocked by an almost 300$ bill for 3 adults and 3 kids. Probably won't be returning just because it was all so/so. I'm not much of a steak person though, so regardless of my review don't hesitate to check it out for yourself. :) Edit: I forgot to mention the burger my sisters boyfriend got was literally almost too raw to eat.. not rare... actually raw. So just be aware

Went there to celebrate my husband's 81st bday. Lovely wait staff. Darling bday singing and hat!! Salad great. Desserts yummy! Our bill for 7 was over $400. Everyone got steak but I ordered shrimp. MY SHRIMP WERE OVERCOOKED, DRY, ADVERTISED AS LARGE WERE SMALL AND TASTELESS. MY HUSBAND'S FILET MIGNON WAS DRY, TOUGH, OVERCOOKED AND THE WORST STEAK HE'D EVER TRIED TO EAT. However, it didn't look like a filet!! Should have sent it right back! The others found their steaks tough. We should all have returned our food and walked out. We were CHEATED, our main course horrible. We will NEVER eat there again. For us it was a total disappointment. I'll spread the word as well. BEWARE. NO PHOTOS INTENTIONALLY.

Been here before. Food is great usually. The only reason for 1 star is because of the wait. I guess there aren't enough other restaurants to go to on a Friday night so without a reservation you're waiting an hour or longer. Not locals so didn't know! They closed down the other location nearby can't imagine why if they're always so busy.
