I haven't been to a Pollo Loco in awhile and the last time was a lackluster experience. I happened to find myself right by one at 10:30 on a Friday night. With my stomach growling, eating options for the day diminishing quickly & an open Loco right next to me, I decided to cruise the drive-thru. Greeted promptly by a friendly voice, ordering was quick and easy. At the window, greeted by a friendly face to match the voice, asked if I wanted any salsa, I asked for both hot & mild. 15 seconds later, I was handed my food, a generous amount & variety of salsa & lots of napkins. Crunchy taco was delicious, biting into it I know I had a look of genuine surprise. Way better than 'the Bell'. And the limited time Chicken Nacho Quesadilla was very good as well, a sizeable food item. Both items had fresh, cold lettuce, tomatoes, guacamole and grilled, lean, well seasoned chicken. No weird grizzlely bites. Seriously, for a 'just fast food' meal, the food & service was superior. It definitely won't be a long while until my next visit to El Pollo Loco!

When I walked in I could smell the chicken being grilled and it made my mouth water. The cashier was great and took my order perfectly. Once I got my food it was wrapped in aluminum and reminded me of Mexico when I'd get freshly made food. My first bite was amazing. The chicken was perfectly cooked and juicy with a nice Chewy texture. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves chicken or authentic Mexican cuisine.

The 8 pcs chicken was excellent and plenty but the shrimp taco was soaking wet and bunch in aluminum foil as a ball. It was not a normal tortilla folded in half w/ fillings. 😳

This location was empty except for us when we were there. The prices are still decent and potions good. The salsa tasted fresh and the staff were nice enough.

The food is Cal-Mex and very good. The double chicken salads are wonderful and even the plain burrito (rice, beans, chicken, pico de gallo) is tasty. Not brilliant but great for a fast food joint.

This was the first El Pollo Loco that I've eaten at and the food was pretty good. I enjoyed their rice and appreciated that they give you complementary tortillas and salsa with the meal.

There orders were not called in ahead of time they ordered inside while I was present and received way more food than I had ordered. For a quick bite this place satisfied my hunger.

Order taker or cashier is most of the time hidden in the back an other employess pretend like your invisible so it takes a few minutes to place your order do to the cashier being no were to be found. I ordered a double shrimp bowl to go. I work nights in San Francisco and this was supposed to be my dinner. As soon as I get to the office to put the bowl away in the fridge. I noticed that I’m missing the creamy celantro sauce. I suppose I’ll have to eat this plain 😡!

I was just there tonight at Pollo Loco in Petaluma I got totally grossed out the girl was sweeping the floor didn't even wash your hands was digging in her ear with her finger wiping her face wiping her lip and then handles my food and then gives it to me I got totally grossed out and left my food there and just walked out I will definitely be calling the Health Department on this place

I went there at 2 pm and the chicken clearly was very old. The skin on the chicken was mummified and leathery. Inedible.

I live right down the road. Three consecutive visits the drive-thru has been nothing but a nightmare. Stock doesn't seem to know what foods they have, the drive-thru is so slow I waited 17 minutes just to drive away without food. Return this time and as you see their excuse for meat let's so hard and so overcooked and it was just crunchy it's like crispy bacon crunchy I'm not supposed to be taquitos the burrito wasn't wrapped just rested in aluminum foil open. This will be my last visit to this location I'll leave there again but never in this location shame on you staff for for not only the lack of quality control but the lack of caring and the lack of the fact that people are waiting if you have an extra order that's taking longer Park the person in the parking lot bring their food to them and let the rest of the people that just want a quick order go. Being held hostage for 17 minutes in your drive-thru is not fun going back today and receiving the food that I've got was even less but shame on you shame on you shame on you

We got here at brunch time and the guy who took my order is a manager and was such a disrespectful and a white racist.. I got to yhe line but he wa just standing there he didn't smile or say anything to take my order I had to stand there and ask him myself, he wasn't even friendly and say thank, it felt more like a bother. After we got our food the girl was nice enough, but the food was dry and cold. I guess I have to go to Rohnert Park to have a better experience.

Then I asked him again, and he said, "They're right in front of you;" I suppose referring to a laminated card. There was no chicken ready and the kids were talking about school behind the counter. It took 12 minutes and I was the only customer there. And what is the pager thing? The manager pushed some device across the counter without telling me what it was. It was twenty questions for everything. Come on, guys, get rid of the manager with the attitude, and get someone in there who will cook.

I was pretty shocked. Well then waiting another 30mins for our meal I got very frustrated people who ordered 2 pc and salads after me were eating and leaving before I had received my food.. I asked the manager on shift for a refund he asked what I ordered I told him then he asks what do I owe you. I said I could not tell you the cashier did not give me a receipt. He then opens the drawer and hands me $25 . Keep in mind the meal it's sell is $25... I was just very frustrated and wanted to get out of there.
