Robert is the man. Was very attentive and personable and honestly made the experience for us. The food was so good and fresh. And not for nothing, but me and my boyfriend both agreed this was the best espresso martini we’ve ever had (with and without the hazelnut, can’t go wrong). I highly recommend the caesar, ravioli, and chicken parm, all were amazing. This is a hidden gem and will definitely be back, shoutout Robert (and all of the other wait staff) again for making the experience even more enjoyable! Check this place out if you want a good italian meal with great customer service.
First time at the Bellini for dinner before a concert. Nico was a wonderful server and the food was delicious. Team was friendly and attentive. Everything came out so quickly! We got the Insalata Bellini, Tortelloni Affumicati, and Casarecce al Ragù di Pollo for dinner. The applewood smoked chicken with goat cheese was so savory — we cleaned off our plates. Finished with the Gelato Trio and the Limoncello Mascarpone Cake. Would definitely go back to try more!
Bellini, a delightful dining experience, was the perfect venue for celebrating my husband’s birthday. The food was delectable, the ambiance was enchanting, and the service was exceptional. Our hosts greeted us warmly and personally confirmed the dessert surprise. One of them shared an intriguing story about the ceiling paintings, adding to the ambiance. Our server, Nico, went above and beyond to ensure our celebration was memorable. We eagerly plan to return to Bellini when we visit Philadelphia again. With gratitude, G & C
I seldom leave reviews, however, the experience at Bellinis was noteworthy. We had reservations for a pre-show dinner and was looking forward to a delicious Italian style meal. They didn’t disappoint. The gnocchi was delicious and the Tiramisu was a favorite. Topping it all off, our server Mike was absolutely fantastic and made the experience a great one for me and my family. Great food and great atmosphere. Highly recommend.
I have a chance to try their salad/appetizer and main dishes. Everything is tasteful and portion of the main dishes are perfect. Lastly the atmosphere is so cool. I loved the drawing on the ceiling. It made me feel like I was in Bologna. Highly recommended restaurant!
Great place, with good ambiance, not to noisy. Very friendly staff, keep checking if your ok. Duck is delicious! No smell, not too salty, juicy inside, sauce not too strong. Very enjoyable. With a glass of pinot noir (staff can recommend wine if you like). And of course desert. Love the affogato.
We enjoyed our Valentine’s Day dinner here. Cozy, Philly atmosphere. Great food and drink, our server, Ury, was professional but social and fun! We’ll be back.
Dinner before Eagles vs Green Bay on Monday night with a group of 5 who have been friends for over 50 years. Michael was our server and he was fabulous. Very attentive, knowledgeable, personable and professional. Their bread is so light and delicious. All of our meals were fresh and delicious. I had a great Caesar salad and their Polo Bellini. Great place to stop in if you are in the area.
We walked in on a Saturday night without a reservation and were pleasantly surprised to find two open seats at the bar. We split the penne vodka and an appetizer, and the penne vodka was especially good—rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I ordered an espresso martini and a glass of wine, and both were excellent. The service at the bar was quick and friendly, making the experience even better. The atmosphere was elegant but still comfortable, striking a nice balance between upscale and relaxed. Overall, a great spot for a casual night out with quality food, great drinks, and welcoming service.
From the moment we walked in, this Italian restaurant delivered an unforgettable experience. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with a rustic decor and the gentle hum of old school Italian love music. The food was nothing short of exceptional. Every dish was crafted with care and authenticity—from the surprisingly tasteful snails over polenta that started the meal to the classic fried calamari to the rich, flavorful gnocchi gorgonzola that followed. Each bite transported us straight to the heart of Italy. The wine list was thoughtfully curated, and the staff offered knowledgeable recommendations that paired beautifully with our meal. Service was attentive yet unobtrusive—professional, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the cuisine. Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner spot, celebrating a special occasion, or simply craving an elevated Italian meal, Bellini hits all the right notes and is true gem that we can’t wait to return to.
Recently went for a family birthday dinner. Food was exceptional, staff friendly and our waiter Andy so sweet and helpful! Part of our family is Gluten Free (celiac) and the had great options and crème brûlée for dessert. Our first time but not the last! Loved the Veal Parmigiana and the Linguine with Lobster!
If you want a little taste of Italy in Philly, this is your spot! The drinks are sooooo tasty!!!! Their bread comes out on the table with house made fig balsamic vinegar and oil. This was so delicious I couldn’t stop eating the bread! I had the Bronzino for main course and it was the perfect portion size and full of flavor! Definitely a cute spot!
Bellini is 5 stars in everyway. My go to place for authentic Italian food and homemade pasta. The best espresso martini in town! Everyone who works here is so welcoming, attentive, kind and funny. The location could not be better and the owners will go out of your way to make sure that you have the best experience. Highly recommend for any occasion, perfect for a big group party to intimate date or corporate dinner.
Huge shoutout to Robert and Andy for their amazing service! First off, this restaurant might just be the best service in Philly. They take care of you like you’re dining at Haidilao in China!!!! no exaggeration, I swear. Now, the food? Absolutely incredible! It was so good, I felt like I had been transported straight to Italy. The atmosphere was nice, but what really stood out were the ceilings and the servers (iykyk). Fire views ;))))) Keep up the great work guys!!!!! can’t wait to come back!
We happened across this gem and can not rave enough about the food. The brother owners were both there on a Tuesday night ready to please. They made us a off -the-menu eggplant app which was phenomenal. Everything was scrumptious! Definitely try the duck. Not the usual "Italian" entree but, it's OFF THE CHARTS! Sorry we were too full for dessert. BTW, most tender calamari and great Caesar!!!
Been to Bellini twice in the past few weeks. Not sure what’s better, the food or the service! What I do know is both were fantastic! Our server Michael was educated properly on both the food, drink, an extremely delicious and tasty dessert menu. The entire staff was aware and polite. This is my new go to spot for a great dinner and a very welcoming staff. You can tell the owners care about their customers, staff, and service, everyone seems happy to be there! Will surely be back!
Had an early reservation for a Saturday night before the ballet & we were finished with plenty of time before the show. We were sat in the cozy little window seat which was very romantic & lovely. The cocktails were incredible!!!! Can't recommend them enough.. fantastic bartender!! The salmon was very tender and moist but it only came with a couple small florets of broccoli so it wasn't very filling. The sauce was delicious. The special for the night was veal osso buco which was a little pricey but was excellent! Rich deep flavors, meat simply falling apart it was so tender. It was a decent portion & came with a large amount of very silky mashed potatoes. Dessert was the homemade chocolate mousse & even my partner who isn't a sweets fan absolutely loved it! All of the staff was incredibly kind, welcoming & helpful as well. Also the fruit infused balsamic vinegar they bring with the bread.. not sure exactly what it was but it was divine!
We visited Bellini to celebrate my husband's birthday. We had a good experience. Food was great. I absolutely loved the pasta of the day, which was ravioli stuffed with broccoli in a creamy mushroom sauce. Ambience and service was pretty good too. The sugar top of my creme brulee was a slightly over-caramelized, so it gave a bit of a burnt aftertaste. But the custard was delicious. So I'm gonna let that one slide and give this restaurant a thumbs up and a 5 star anyway.
Went to this lovely Italian restaurant and was treated like family. Welcomed with a smile, and checked on constantly. The food was delicious. My peach bellini was so good I drank most of it before taking a picture. I had the Tuna with spinach capers, olives and garlic. My son had the veal. We were stuffed but happy we saved just enough room to share the decadent cheesecake and mouthwatering creme brulee.
This spot is the bomb. Two hard working brothers run the business and they have a great staff. The service is excellent and the ambience is old school Italian that is warm and comforting. The bread they give you is made in-house, fresh and crispy. They give you olive oil and fig balsamic vinegar that you can use to dip the bread (I finished the whole basket doing just that). The calamari were juiciest I have had in a pretty long time. I ordered the special which was ribeye mushroom ravioli covered in a creamy sauce which was delicious. My gf got the lobster linguine which was phenomenal. It took me every ounce of discipline to not just steal her plate. The pasta was perfect, the white wine blush sauce was great, and the homemade pesto was the game changer. The portion was generous and there was plenty of lobster in it. Again, all fresh in-house made pasta. Last, but not least, they make phenomenal ricotta cannoli. They have a talented pastry chef who makes the best ricotta I have yet tried, so I always get very excited to order the cannoli here. All in all, this place is fire. Highly, highly recommend!!!
Loved the atmosphere!!! The host/owner was a delight and had a refreshing personality. The bartender was engaging and the drinks were fabulous!!! Highly recommend!! A must try and you won’t be disappointed!! The espresso martini and gin don was fantastic.
My husband and I had a great dinner. Both the service and the food were excellent. We had the fried gnocchi with truffle flavor, the tortellini with lobster and pesto, & chicken parm. Oh and the creme brûlée was sooo good!
We came into Bellini’s for dinner before an evening music concert. The service was amazing with Andy our server, but honestly, everyone was great! Everyone was kind, attentive, and treated you like family. My fiancé said that the lasagna was the best he has ever had! I had the gnocchi appetizer as my meal, and it was delicious. Prices are more than fair. Romantic atmosphere. You can tell they have a lot of regulars. Highly recommend this place!
The drinks we got were great & I really appreciated that they were able to accommodate my vegan diet! The menu is reasonably priced which is tough to find in Philly nowadays! The highlight would be our server Enki as he was personable and knowledgeable and provided great service!
Celebrated our 24th anniversary at the restaurant. Couldn’t be happier with the amazing hospitality and food. Top notch experience. The desert was to die for.
Highly recommend Bellini! From the moment we walked in we were greeted with excellent and friendly service. The chicken parm was crispy and delicious and it came with homemade linguine which was cooked to perfection! We had the cheesecake and ricotta cannoli which were excellent. We will definitely be back!
Great food and a real Italian atmosphere. Friendly crew and special thanks to the young guy (believe he comes from Albania)
Ah, Bellini! I went for the first time in 2021 and haven’t been able to stop going back! Every time I’ve entered, I’ve been greeted with a warm welcome, and attended to like I’m a member of the family. The altitudinous Italian art will catch your eye ,the menu is guaranteed to please the palette, and the service is going to exceed your expectations. While all that is proves to be true to most, one thing’s for certain: you’re going to feel like you’re at home here. We lost track of time while enjoying the food, drinks, and one another, once again! It happens every time!!! Our server, Mike, knew the menu thoroughly and was extremely accommodating on every possible level. His suggestions for cocktails, wine, and food truly enhanced our experience. It was also quite impressive that he remembered and catered to our specific likes and tastes from our previous time dining with them. Its not often a server remembers your name, face, and favorite menu items. His service is consistently excellent, and I hope to be served by him again. The Silk Road is my favorite cocktail I’ve tried all year!! Simple, spicy, and balanced perfectly. The lavender bitters are a game changer, and I wouldn’t be surprised if their recipe was copied all over. I could write an entire separate entry for the food. If everything else was terrible, the food alone would be worth coming back for!! The Chef cares, and it’s obvious. You can easily tell every dish was well thought out, prepared, tested, perfected, and executed. You hear the other guests around you continuously humming sounds of satisfaction while indulging. There is something on the menu for everyone, and every dish is has something special to offer. It’s easy to feel like you’ve left Philadelphia and are seated in your Nonna’s dining room, in Italy, being served cuisine made with only the best ingredients and lots of love. I am looking forward to returning and exploring more of Bellini’s menu. Please don’t bypass the linguini, order the bruschetta, and take a walk down the Silk Road. As always, before departing, order an espresso martini, everyone’s doing it but no one’s doing it better!!!! Thanks for another great night! I wish I had better and more photos!
First time at Bellini with friends on New Year's Eve. I highly recommend the Braised Lamb Shanks & Risotto when available. It was falling-off-the-bone tender and sooo tasty from the first bite to the last. Definitely on par with Lamb Shanks that I prepare in my own kitchen. The Caprese Salad was also flawless! Put Bellini on your list the next time you're in Philly!! Thanks for a fantastic meal!
Great experience! Wonderful food and our waiter was fabulous. Made our last night in Philly so fun.
Everything about this place is top notch. The two gentlemen who own and run the establishment are very friendly and welcoming - they are the front of house. Their wait staff are always attentive and know the menu well. Food is delicious - never had a bad meal or experience. A consistent go to for special occasions, a swing-by for happy hour, or an after dinner dessert drink.
I had a great meal here. Michael was our server and HE WAS THE BEST. Absolutely amazing super friendly, extremely knowledgeable of the menu and flavor. I cannot speak highly enough. Would recommend.
Mike was a great server. Talked through the menu options what he prefers and recommends and accommodated for my gluten free requirements. Had appetizers, drinks, entree and dessert. Highly recommend and would return!
The place was amazing from the second my family walked in the door...the greeting, the service , the food was excellent. Our waiter, Michael gave us great recommendations for dinner and kept us laughing the entire night! It was a great night out!
My boyfriend and I sat right next to the host stand and had amazing encounters with staff the whole night. The cocktails were 10/10 and all recommendations for food lived up to what they said they were. Best chicken parm and espresso martinis around. Traveled over an hour for this and do not regret it at all! 10/10 recommended this place! We will be back:)
It was restaurant we found by chance, just walking around Phily. I don’t do an extensive reviews, so here is a short one. Exceptional service, hreat quality food, good music and decor. Highly recommend!
I can’t believe it took me years to finally try this place!! One of the best Italian dinners I’ve had in Philly, which really is saying something, considering it’s my favorite cuisine. Came in with zero expectations cause it was a last minute reservation catching the very last table available, and I was craving pasta. stumbled in on a busy Friday night but was attended to frequently by our waiter and busboys constantly refilling our water(my pet peeve if delayed), bread basket, and promptly taking dishes. Loved our waiter too, I totally forgot his name but he was very quirky and fun. I loved the decor of the interior too, felt like I was in a rustic restaurant in Italy. Unfortunately we came in during restaurant week so had very limited options, but everything we had was superb down to the homemade olive oil and balsamic vinegar we dipped our bread in and drizzled over the bruschetta. The rigatoni dish was spectacular(I think it’s normally fusilli on the full menu), the BEST fresh pasta I’ve had in the city perfectly cooked and perfect texture, but also enough of the addicting sauce with it(also a pet peeve if it’s too dry). The only complaint I have is I wish it was 3x larger as if I were at Cheesecake Factory lol ;). Also took bites of the risotto gambretti and gnocchi sorrento(both excellent). I usually highly dislike gnocchi, but this was the only time I’ve EVER liked gnocchi and it’s because it was super light, pillowy, and flavorful, not the gummy, doughy, raw potato and flour tasting kind I’m used to. Others liked their veal and chicken dishes as well! I’m very rarely impressed these days and so glad we were able to come in. Can’t wait to come back and try the dishes I was interested in on the full menu!
I highly recommend Bellini's the food was delicious and the service was excellent. Very friendly waiter, who was attentive but not overbearing. The chocolate mousse was one of the best! Great spot for pre-show dinner. Thank you Bellini for an outstanding experience.
Our server Robert was incredible. He was witty and his banter with the table continued throughout the night. The food itself was good, however, a few of the entrees left some to be desired. It was restaurant week and I am sure they were putting out tons of the same food so I don't completely hold that against them. For the price I think it was worth it. The ambiance is great for a date night or a night out with friends. Deserts were great.
We had a wonderful experience at Bellini for our first time, and will be back! The service is amazing, the food is exceptional, and the ambience/atmosphere is perfect. We made a reservation for 5pm, and asked about happy hour - thankfully they let us enjoy it at a table, but it's typically at the bar only. We tried several drinks and loved all. Our waiter was very nice and made the experience even better. We were checked on frequently to make sure everything was going well. The gnocchi ricotta is amazing, and absolute must. I also love my tortelloni affumicati is also wonderful! All around a great experience.
My wife and I took our family there for Valentine's day dinner since I wouldn't see my oldest daughter for Valentine's day. (She's a university student in the area) We had a reservation, arrived early, and were accommodated immediately with great hospitality. The service was awesome. The atmosphere was excellent. And the food was a hit. Homemade restaurant's own balsamic vinegar was so good. Salads perfect, Appetizer was incredible and I hate pesto and devoured it. Veal was cooked to perfection. And the deserts were out of this world... I can't wait to go back... Molte grazie...
Very accommodating with gluten free options. The place is a little tight, but not too loud to talk. Tons of great dishes to choose from, and you can’t go wrong with any of them.
Bellini had great service and atmosphere. The butternut squash ravioli was our favorite! Flavorful and cooked perfect. The pork chop was good. The swordfish and risotto were good, but needed more flavor. It was a lovely experience!
Bellini has such a warm and welcoming atmosphere that instantly transports you back to Italy. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the friendliest staff who make you feel like family! The ambiance is charming and intimate, perfect for a cozier night out. The service was truly impeccable- everyone was so attentive and genuinely kind, which made the dining experience feel a little more special. That being said, while the food is good, it doesn’t quite reach the level of authenticity or flavor that I was hoping for. What DID reach that level of flavor was the peach Bellini! The dishes were decent, but nothing particularly stood out to be exceptional. It’s definitely enjoyable, just not mind-blowing. However- the overall experience- great service, inviting atmosphere, and a little taste of Italy in Philly- makes it a little worth your time to visit!
We enjoyed Bellini during Philadelphia’s 2024 Restaurant Week. We ate outside and really enjoyed our experience. The server was incredible and the staff was very attentive. The outside seating is wheelchair accessible. We did not check if the indoor seating is wheelchair accessible or the bathrooms.
We had crab cakes, squid ink pasta with crab, and duck ragu on fettuccine. All very good. All homemade pastas. Service was fast, efficient, and friendly. Maybe to fast, as dinner came immediately after the appetizer before we could order wine to go with it.
We really enjoyed our dinner and it didn't break the bank. I had the sea bass and my husband had a veal chop. Both were delicious. But I must say they best part of this restaurant is the people in the front. So pleasant! We had nice conversations with all. If we lived in Philadelphia we would make this restaurant a regular stop. We would definitely recommend.
We went here for 2022 Fall Restaurant week with a group of friends to try the aesthetics Italian food. As a not-big-fan of Italian food person, my experience at this place was quiet pleasant since I really loved their "Risotto" with seafood!! Their "Arugula Salad" was also refreshing and the beef dish (forgot the name) was pretty good (juicy & tender). However, the service was not that pleasant as their food. They guy was asking for what we want to drink before ordering the food, and we were sober, so we didn't order any alcohol. Then, the servant was giving us some wired look at us (I guess he wasn't happy about not ordering drinks so he won't get more tips at the end).
Mediocre and overpriced. Came for Center City restaurant week and was very disappointed. $50 (with tax and tip) for 3 small plates that didn’t taste good - and I suspect they are cheap versions of what they claimed to be. The “buffalo” mozzarella was firm and tasted old, with just 2 peeled tomatoes and some oil on it. The pesto pasta did not taste of anything much at all. Finally the “Dover sole” seemed like any old tasteless white fish, again drenched in oil and a bit of lemon. Was also served the “homemade fresh” bread - it was dry and tasted processed. Only get one extra star for enthusiastic service. For authentic Italian food definitely look elsewhere, especially outside of restaurant week when I guess their prices are even higher.
To start, the service was off putting and highly unprofessional. Our server, Robert, made repeated sarcastic and unnecessary remarks toward our party of nine that was predominately women who were there to celebrate a birthday. As a group of women, we felt uncomfortable and disrespected by his behavior. In the beginning, Robert commented on my facial expression, saying I looked “serious” and that I should smile. Many at the table agreed this was inappropriate and off putting, especially coming from a stranger. Later, when I mentioned that our drinks had been forgotten, he referred to me as my friend’s “defender,” which felt dismissive and unnecessary. When I didn’t realize it was my turn to order and apologized instead of simply asking what I would like he responded with “no, just do better,” or something along those lines. He also made comments about us not finishing our food and questioned why I was asking for a to go bag for my friend by saying, “Can she not ask for herself?” Toward the end of the night, Robert pointed out that one of my friends had something on her face, which we appreciated. However, he then followed it by muttering “you’re a hot mess,” an entirely unnecessary comment especially on her birthday. It is also worth noting that our group was predominantly young women of color (19-21). Whether intentional or not, the tone of his service felt dismissive and condescending at times, which raised concerns about whether our age or background may have influenced how we were treated. When the one guy in our party addressed the situation and Robert returned to our table to apologize. Unfortunately, the apology was poorly handled. Instead of taking responsibility, he repeatedly justified his behavior by saying things like “this is how WE are” and “I’m just blunt,” which only continued the same pattern that made us uncomfortable. These are just a few of the comment that were made, but they were frequent enough to affect the overall experience. To be fair, the food was good and the service itself was quick. However, the repeated comments and lack of professionalism overshadowed what should have been an enjoyable birthday dinner. No group regardless of age should feel talked down to or uncomfortable simply for dining out.
