We had appetizers and dinner at another high end place, but wanted to end the night on a good note, this place wins. Atmosphere and service, this place wins. Best place in Pittsburgh let alone the block. Algo wins on every level! Highlight- off menu mushroom and flower appetizer that the bartender recommended. Super rich, savory and unexpected. Dessert was an olive oil cake. Never had one. Will eat every time given the chance! Go for creative delicious cocktails, amazing entrees, novel and surprising appetizers/desserts, and warmly hospitable service!

Last minute booking on a Friday night, glad I did it. I ordered the pork Rillettes to start, which was good, but the best sweet breads that followed stole the show. Wonderfully cooked with a crispy exterior and creamy center. Sooo tasty.

If you want an elevated cocktail experience, Siempre Algo is an incredible spot. We happened upon this spot once walking around the North Side, and upon stopping in were greeted with jazzy ambiance and a complimentary glass of bubbly. The bartender clearly puts a lot of love into her craft, both in serving personalized drinks and in crafting really delicious menu cocktails with fresh ingredients and unique presentation. We will be back and have recommended to so many folks since our first visit!

Northside treasure. Greeted warmly. Server was extremely knowledgeable. Great suggestions. Every single aspect of this meal/experience was top notch. We had almost everything on the menu. The attention to detail was unmistakable. Beverage service was perfect. Looking forward to returning soon.

Phenomenal place. From the first greeting to the goodbye it's was all excellent. The cocktails are fantastic, not only do they taste and look sensational they are also great value. The food was also executed very well. Utterly delicious. I want to return immediately and eat more and drink more

This place is amazing! One of the few gems I’ve been to in Pittsburgh. Let me break down my review into categories: - Ambience: Dim lights, well spaced tables, and appealing furniture. Each table has a candle which makes it perfect for a date night. The vibe is a mix of hip and classy and honestly I love it. - Service: impeccable service. The best I’ve had in Pittsburgh. We were greeted at the entrance by a lady with a big smile. Our server knew the menu inside out and for any questions we asked that he was unsure of, he made sure to inquire and get back to us. He was great in explaining the items and giving his recommendations based on our preferences. They really personalize the service for you unlike I’ve ever seen. - Food: the food was great! I wish they had something made from chicken, but I tried the Duck (my first time) and it didn’t disappoint. My partner tried the Salmon and it was incredible! We also had their mushrooms from the vegetables section and they were really well made. For dessert, we tried the eggnog ice cream sandwich (2 triangle pieces) and it was delicious. Highly recommend. - Cocktails: so we started with the complimentary Prosecco, which was a nice surprise and then ordered 3 cocktails: Road of Fate, This is the way, and a custom Mezcal drink. Each of the cocktail was really well made but I would highly recommend “This is the way” - It’s the award winning cocktail by their bartender. Loved it!

Beautiful dining experience!! Loved our server, bartender, chef, atmosphere...the total package! It was the perfect spot to celebrate my birthday!

So delicious! I was worried about options for allergies but was pleasantly surprised. My husband loved the halibut and said the silantro lemongrass broth was delicious. The mushrooms and asparagus was an amazing dish. The lobster mushrooms really tasted like lobster, amazing flavors! The baba ganoush with crudites and baguette was a tasty starter too. I usually have to skip dessert but they had the best rhubarb and hibiscus that was a perfect finish.

A quiet gem on the North Shore. Spectacular cocktails. The crab dip w/ pita bread was the best I’ve ever had. For our entrees we got the hanger steak and sea scallops. My god was the steak cooked the perfection. What an amazing meal. Also great service. Go here and love it

Phenomenal food, cocktails, and service. Cannot wait to go back. I highly suggest the sweetbread, sambal chicken,and deviled eggs. The rum sahr and boy and,humble cocktails are mond blowingly good.

Wow is all I can say about this place!! The owner, staff, decor, food, and wine are all amazing!! If you can just go to this place and be as amazed as I was this first time. It’s just off the hook Great!!

This little hidden gem is worth visiting. It's intimate. The service is On Point. The food is well balanced and enjoyable. The crispy pork belly was just.... perfect. It was salty, sweet, smooth, and crispy. Sounds impossible, right? And yet. I'll be back. I'll bring my family and recommend this readily. I suggest you make a reservation and go tonight.

Waitstaff, cocktails, starters, entrees, and dessert all 5 stars. Excellent meal and atmosphere. Will be back!

Wonderful food and drinks with such friendly and informative staff. This is definitely in our top 3 restaurants in Pittsburgh!

This is a regular spot for us since we stumbled on it last year and I can't say enough great things about the food, service, and genuine sense of care and creativity that happens here. The attention to detail in everything from the moment you enter is incredible, the food and cocktails continue to be the best and most consistent I've had in Pittsburgh, including from much more expensive restaurants. The care the chef owner puts into the food seeps into the service and atmosphere and leaves you feeling charmed and full of delicious food.

My first trip to Pittsburgh. And I can’t imagine that I will be coming back again. But if I do, I can promise you that I will have dinner at Siempre Algo. I have traveled all over the world and enjoyed one of the best meals ever last night. The vegetables are fresh growing by the chef on the roof above the restaurant. The service was fabulous. All meals are shareable. The atmosphere was quiet and comfortable. Not something overdone and loud. It was perfect for two people. We enjoyed it immensely and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

My husband and I were visiting from Chicago. I wanted to try this restaurant based on the reviews. It was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we walked in and were treated to a complimentary glass of prosecco, I knew we were in for a treat. The service was top-notch. The cocktails were delicious, but the star of the evening was the food. Everything we ordered was delicious. I had never had sweetbreads before and now I can't wait to have them again! They were fantastic. My husband had the trout and it was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend Siempre Algo to anyone looking for a great dining experience with wonderful food and drink. We will definitely be back when we're in town.

My boyfriend is gluten free and we heard they had amazing focaccia. The staff were so accommodating since they had just ran out (which they said it was the very first time it had happened), and decided to send us out a special appetizer that was phenomenal. We were so happy with the food and the price definitely fit the food- well crafted and delicious. Loved our waitress and the chef even came out to apologize for the gf bread. Would come back !

We had a wonderful dinner at Siempre Algo and should not have waited this long to go. Chef Brian and staff have created an unpretentious yet refined experience. Ambience-small, intimate and warm. Service-comfortable and familiar yet extremely adept. Our server did a great job at anticipating needs and planning our 5 tasting plates out. The only criticism I have in this regard is the lack of actual menus. I don’t like being on my phone scrolling and with such an extensive wine list it’s tough to read through. I also think the level of service is such that a paper menu is needed to match it. Food- Amazing. I’ve been bored with Pittsburgh food and this was such a welcome change. The ingredients are local when possible and high quality. Plates are well- thought out, creative and seasonal. The summer bean and crab salad was a standout on a hot summer evening. Additionally, almost the entire menu was GF and they also had an exceptional GF focaccia. Value- On par and probably a bit less expensive than other restaurants of this quality. I absolutely would recommend this place and look forward to going back.

This might be the best restaurant in Pittsburgh. We’ve been here so many times and every time the menu is fresh and excellent. I generally have high standards and have eaten at Michelin starred restaurants around the world. This is some of the best cuisine, best service, best wine, best atmosphere, and best cocktails in our region.

Upscale and Worthy always. The menu changes on a regular basis to support fresh ingredients. The service is terrific always. The cocktails are very wonderful combinations. I didn't take a picture

We’ve been to this place many times and it’s amazing every time so it was a no brainer to bring friends from out of town to celebrate my wife’s birthday. We came in with a party of six on Valentine’s Day weekend and were not disappointed. Kristen, our server, was so gracious and friendly. Everyone’s food was delicious and of course the cocktails were incredible. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Stopped by Siempre Algo on a whim as we had just arrived in town after a long day of travel. We were greeted by the Owner and seated without a reservation. Cocktails were spot-on and the appetizers were amazing (both the baguette and the hummus were freshly prepared by the Executive Chef). Main courses were also nicely prepared with great presentation. The best part of the evening was the service provided by Kristin. Very engaging and personable and didn't miss any detail. Very refreshing to have exceptional service. In all, it was an amazing experience - highly recommend!

Haven't been here for a while and still Siempre Algo doesn't disappoint!! Started off with tuna app and was delicious. I had the salmon for my main and equally delicious! My wife had the filet and melted in her mouth. Her cream/mashed potatoes was off the charts. For dessert we had pistachio cake with ice cream and was incredible! Put Siempre Algo on your fine dining destination and you won't be disappointed.

Overall fantastic first experience here. The food and drinks were all great. Some of the best in Pittsburgh. The duck was top notch and some of the best I have had. My only criticism is having a QR code for a menu at this level of a restaurant. I do think having a menu in hand elevates the experience and gets people away from their phones as often desired when going out for a nice meal. Please make this change!!

I wish I could give this place 10 stars. We got the steak tartare and potato skins apps, and chicken and salmon entrees. Everything was incredible - and not in a like satisfying everyday meal kind of way but in a like memorable think about this meal for years kind of way. I always say that I love appetizers and most places the entrees are a let down but this place is not like that at all - every bite was perfect. Service was also excellent - sat at the bar and the bartender was awesome and made custom surprise drinks I loved. I wish we lived in town, we’d go back monthly.

Everything. Just everything. Inventive, delicious food. 5 Star cocktails. Super service. Lovely ambiance. Fair prices and deep whiskey selection (wish I lived closer.)

Bottom line, 1200/10!!!! This place is so amazing! The food is to LIVE for, drinks are pored to perfection, and the service....let me tell you....just say thank you at the end, because they are always there when you need them, but not hovering like you have something they need/want like other places. I walked in and immediately love the quiet and elegant atmosphere. I tried their scallop shrimp risotto, pork chops, tartar, pate. The pork chops were well cooked and tender. But other parts of the chop were a little dry and salty. The risotto was creamy as I expected. The tartar was lean and flavorful. I think the only dish I thought was lacking was the dessert - sponge cake. Definitely wasn’t my cup of tea. The service was amazing and the fact that you get to see the professional chefs move to make these amazing dishes- I love it.

Pate and fresh baked baguette is delicious. The prime rib eyes was outstanding flavorful and tender. A good steak is hard to ask for but this one made me happy👍👍

Service and ambiance is lovely at Siempre Algo. Parking is easy as well. I enjoyed my soup and salad here however, my fish dish was a bit of a strange combination of potato and nuts as accompaniments. It didn’t really flow and I wasn’t a fan but I suppose that may just be my taste. Everything else was great and I’d like to return.

Quiet place with great food. The trout came with crispy skins and flavory risotto. Would be better if chicken liver was less salty tho.

I had halibut that was prepared perfectly even if i didn’t love the flavors, vegan girlfriend had a roasted cabbage that she was nice enough to share a few bites of and it blew my mind! So delicious! Didn’t think I’d ever say that about cabbage but here we are.

Siempre Algo is a nice-casual restaurant that serves dinner. My husband and I ate here once. We really enjoyed our non-alcoholic beverages (although a bar is available), bread, soup, salmon, and creme brulee. My husband thought that his pork should have been cooked longer. The seating hostess and waitress did their jobs very well.

This might be a 'your mileage may vary' situation. I found the flavors on the menu to be quite dark - bitter, burnt/roasted, dragged down. There was no balance or brightness. I would not go back to for dinner again. The desserts, however, were excellent. Go for the desserts!

Our reservation was for 5:00 and we showed up at 4:50. We UBERed and over estimated how long it would take to get there. It was POURING rain and instead of opening the door and letting us stand inside, they kept the door locked and forced us to wait outside in the rain. The wine was great and most of the food was good, but the roasted cabbage entree was severely undercooked. It was hard to cut and very crunchy. Mashed potatoes with the steak were over-salted and the $25 cheese plate included 4 bite size pieces of cheese. The music was loud and hearing “Tool” wasn’t the atmosphere I had hoped for. The waitress was nice but checked on us way too often. Definitely felt like we were being rushed to finish. I wouldn’t return to this place. My recommendation to the restaurant, if it’s pouring rain outside, let patrons wait inside the door until it’s time to be seated.

The way this place treats people is abhorrent. I walked in there to try to use the restroom after an acupuncture appointment at Modern Moon Acupuncture following a post op appt at AGH and the Bartender with the red curly hair literally chased me down using her body to block my way, wouldn't let me use the restroom when it was very urgent. Told me it was for customers only. I even told her I would buy something but she wouldn't let me. I tried to explain to her that I needed to use it urgently and that I recently had surgery that made it very uncomfortable and offered to show her the incision as proof. She still very rudely told me to get out chasing me out of the place. You should have seen her contemptuous facial expressions, rude & condescending tone and aggressive body language from the beginning. So, after I used the restroom a couple of businesses down (very kind couple owners), I went back in there & stood at the entrance asking to get a business card for the owner and she ran to the front telling me to get out like I was some dangerous person while a male kitchen worker came rushing to the front puffing out his chest like a little Chihuahua telling me to get out aggressively & rudely as well. "Oh you're going to call the owner, i can't wait for him to agree with us!", he says after I explained I came to get the owners contact information to discuss this experience. Absolutely disgusting way to treat people in general & especially previous and future customers. Will never return here again and will make sure every single friend and loved one and all my social media knows to never give Siempre Algo business again! Their mission statement is absolute BS: "We believe that hospitality comes from optimism, compassion, and trust.".it says, haha. Absolute lies and zero compassion or hospitality! Discriminating, racist, unkind, aggressive and unprofessional people is what you'll get.
