Love the marinated chicken used in the chicken pita and in pasta dishes. Always very good service and very good value. On a busy Friday night we were seated promptly. Service was a bit slow but not bad given how busy they were. Portion sizes for appetizers seems to gave grown as we ended taking home a fair amount of their tabouli salad.

The pastas are made fresh like Monroe Ave and there are a variety of flavored pastas. This is not the case with the Victor location. Please note the Victor locations menu differs greatly from Pittsford and Monroe Ave. The view on the deck is gorgeous at the Pittsford location and ive been know to grab the food to go and go sit along the canal. Its a great outdoor healthy place. Parking can be ALOT during peak restaurant hours. Enjoy!

Always a great place to eat. Been coming here since 1982. Still my one of my go to places to take a date. You always feel good instead of bad after eating the food because the ingredients and portions are appropriate to a well-constructed meal. As with most places they are looking for staff. They were in the process of training new people. I have to say that that really improved our experience because we had so many people stopping by to check on us. Service was beyond expectations. And with the beautiful location on the canal it's always nice to take a walk after the meal. I'm grateful that they weathered COVID, and I hope they stay open for a long time to come. P.S. I rarely give five stars.

At Erie Canal the view is amazing and can't wait to see it in summer. Service and atmosphere are great. And most importantly the food is delicious, with stunning presentation, and the portions are satisfying.

My friends and I come here often for reunion lunches and dinners. They have tons of vegan/vegetarian options if you're looking for those! Their pasta is DIVINE. Each pasta dish is easily enough for two people, or enough to take home for dinner the next day! They have another location in downtown Rochester, but I prefer this location because it's right on the canal, and in the summer time it's nice to sit outside and enjoy the warm weather. We always get hummus as an appetizer to split, and it never lasts long! Their food is very hearty, and very well made. I love coming here for any mediterranean food I'm in the mood for, it's great for casual or more upscale dining.

Pleasant place on the water's edge. Outdoor seating is a must do here in the warm weather seasons. The food is delicious. Vegetarian options are both plentiful and delicious.

Good Greek and vegitarian options on the menu, sat outside on the canal-facing balcony and watched boats go by with my spouse. Really enjoyable long-standing eatery, worth checking out if you like those Mediterranean flavors.

I craved their gyro plate throughout my entire pregnancy last year. Their Greek dressing is seriously the best. Today we brought my in-laws and our 7mo baby to try one of our favorite places in the Rochester area, and the staff members were so kind to us. Situated along the historic Erie canal, this is a wonderful place to dine on a late summer day. The Mediterranean food is fresh and filling. Dining on the outside terrace overlooking the canal is truly a delightful experience. My wife opted for the Gyro plate and raved about the tzatziki sauce! I decided on the moussaka which I thoroughly enjoyed! Our personable waiter provided top-notch service!

We beat the lunch rush! It was absolutely packed with quite a few people waiting when we left. Great sign that it's worth going to. Located on the Canal, you can eat while enjoying beautiful water views. Lots of outdoor seating and limited inside. The moussake was fantastic! Highly recommend. I would have given a 5 but I'm kinda stingy with perfect scores some days. This is just a nice little place in a great spot along the canal. The cream soup I got was that delicious and think, but not as heavy as a lot of cream soups. The chicken kabob pita I had was great. The chicken had just enough charring to give it that great grill taste and there was a lot of it in the wrap. Their beer and wine selections are not crazy extensive like some bars in the area, but there are enough options for anyone to find something they will like. It's also really affordable. My bowl of soup and wrap came to about $14 before tax and tip. Many of the entrees are between $12 and $14. The service we got was tremendous. There was one minor mistake, but the waitress fixed it immediately and was super cool about it. This place is not a regular for me, but I've been several times over the years and it's just always been a consistently good place, and if you have gluten free, or vegan friends, there are many options there for them. The only other thing you might not like it's a little cozy in there.

I ate here for the first time and it was great. The staff are easy to talk to, friendly and work efficiently. However, I thought some of the lady servers working dressed a bit skimpy. I understand the dress code is the wear black but short shorts and spaghetti straps? Anyway, the location of this place is awesome and the food was tasty. Also, the food was reasonably priced as well. The only major complaint I have is that, the building needs to be renovated. The wood deck and benches in the front of the building need to be resealed. You could easily get a splinter or two here. There was an issue with bees too. I had to be seated inside. A lot of lights inside were not working as well.

Aladdin's Natural Eatery exceeded my expectations in many ways. Initially, I had reservations about dining at a "Greek" restaurant, given the common challenges of subpar quality and the use of inexpensive ingredients. However, our group sampled a diverse array of dishes, all of which surpassed our expectations. The portions were generous enough to satisfy without overwhelming, and the menu offered a thoughtful selection of authentic Greek-inspired dishes. Most notably, the ingredients were fresh and flavorful, leaving no room for complaint regarding the food itself. The service was attentive and friendly, enhancing the overall experience. However, the atmosphere left something to be desired, as the lackluster interior lacked any distinctive charm. Were it not for its prime location along the canal, the dull ambiance might have been more apparent. In conclusion, while not perfect, Aladdin's offers a solid dining experience with fresh, delicious options. For those craving Greek cuisine or simply a well-prepared meal, I would recommend giving this restaurant a try.

I’ve been here at least 10 times, and while I’ve never had a complaint about the food (the Tourlou is amazing), I have always had something to say about the service. I’ve had a few snarky or easily irritated waitresses, which does not necessarily reflect the restaurant’s work ethic, but the trend is disappointing nonetheless.

Nice spot by the canal overlooking nature. Large plates and portions with lots of food. Honey Dijon dressing is good. Cheesy Eddie’s cakes and baklava.

So many vegetarian options! There are also many gluten free options, including gf pasta. I ordered the pasta Limone with grilled chicken but did it with gluten free pasta. Honestly, the gf pasta was over cooked and not Al dente (it was too soft). The dish was different than expected and I think I’d try something different next time. Their dolmades were delicious!!!! I am excited to come back and trying some other items off the menu and reorder the dolmades. The service was great and it was so fun sitting next to the canal. Plenty of parking just a short walk away.

Dined here last night and had a very enjoyable time. Our party of four started with the humus appetizer, and for appetizers we had two mixed grill, a gyro special, and raviolis. The appetizer was more than enough for four guys to share, and none of us finished our entrees- the mixed grill especially was piled high with fresh cooked meats, and all around no complaints were made. The desserts were absolutely wonderful, there was 6-7 fresh made to choose from, and we absolutely devoured them. Pricing was very reasonable, and the wait staff were super friendly and on top of anything we needed. What can I say about the location other than quaint, charming, perfect for a date night- this was my first time at the little village-esque area and I was blown away. Bravo to all the shops and restaurants for making such a lovely little place.

Normally we really like Aladdin’s however my last take out order really lacked luster. I ordered the Chiklaki with chicken and the tomatoes were mushy, no pita included, chicken was dried out. Not a usual experience. So many people standing around front end when I came in and didn’t get greeted until about 5 minutes later. Not being picky, but it doesn’t take much to say hello to someone rather than just talk amongst each other.

If you are in the area skip this place. But do visit the Brewery next door. I was really disappointed with everything that I order tonight. The salad which I was told by the girl at the register to be fresh, was anything but that. The lettuce in the salad already started to rot and as you can see by the photo of the tomato that was rather poorly sliced and cleaned as well. I am a big Falafel person, so when I asked at the girl at the register to tell me what she would recommend for an appetizer and she replied Falafel I did not hesitate to order it. However, the food that I received was dry and hard. Although it was called Falafel on the menu it did not taste like one. It was so dry that it was card to chew it unless you dipped it in tahini and even then it was dry and tasteless. Not an item I would recommend, by a long shot. As always when you go to a Greek restaurant, it is a MUST that you order Baklava. When asked if the Baklava is made from scratch the girl at the register replies yes, and what goes with coffee better then Baklava. After trying to break a piece with my fork, I quickly realized that this was not something that was made from scratch, this was confirmed further when I took a bit of it. Sadly the baklava tasted nothing more then layered dough socked with sugar and honey water and topped with a little sprinkle of nuts. The food is just called Greek, but honestly there really is nothing Greek about it. Besides what would be unbelievable views of the Erie Canal during the summer and the okay service there is really nothing positive about this place.

Ate last evening at the Pittsford location. Service and atmosphere are great. Good portions were poor. Ordered Moussaka which comes with a side salad. The salad was enormous and dwarfed the portion of Moussaka which were both piled on the same plate. The Moussaka was warm not hot as well. Salad should be on the side not sharing the same plate. This was a birthday dinner and we likely won't return.

The location was wonderful right along the canal, outdoor seating protected, even during light rains. They have the same menu as the restaurant on Monroe Avenue, but the food was not the same. Our pasta dishes were extremely bland. They only had walnut baklava, no pistachio. And for a natural eatery, they only had processed creamer, no half-and-half, for coffee. Service was not very quick. I’ll go back to Monroe Avenue from now on.

Its interesting but the meats prepared here are better than the Monroe Ave outlet (flavorful juicy, whereas at Monroe its often dry) but the baklava & vegetarian dips are better at the Monroe Ave. The service here is also lacking compared to the Monroe Ave branch. People just ignored us waiting to be seated for awhile despite it not being busy, then we were denied seating at the balcony because we had a stroller even though it wasn’t busy and could’ve been accommodated, and just a bit standoffish attitude in general.

This place was alright but I have had a 5 star experience and better food at other locations.

For lunch had a Greek salad with shrimp and a chicken salad. Salads were mostly greens. Prefer romaine but got leafy stuff. Greek was Ok, chicken was fine. Have had much better. No WiFi.

I'm giving this place 3 stars because honestly it's been one of my favorite places to eat during the summer to be alongside the canal and the food is great. I would give it a 5 star, however, tonight I had an awful experience with the staff, one in particular. I always request to sit along the canal and it's never been a problem. I'm always with one other person so it's a party of 2. When I requested tonight, the hostess sat me at a table along the wall and I politely asked if we could sit on the canal in the sun. And she said oh of course! And proceeded to help me gather our things to sit at the other table. She walked away and I no longer start to set my stuff down when another waitress approaches the table and says, "sorry, we reserve these tables for bigger parties". And I said oh ok and proceeded to move back to the table I was just at. No big deal, I understood. BUT what came next was just rude and unacceptable and I know the other tables who witnessed this all unfold felt the same way as I did and understood why I would be upset. 2 minutes later that same waitress sits a party of 2 at that table that my party of 2 just had to move from because our party wasn't big enough!!!! I was shocked and when she came to take the drink order, I questioned her about it and she cut me off and said that I'm not supposed to move myself and assume I can take the table. Which isn't what happened at all...the hostess helped me move and I tried to explain that to her and she cut me off and proceeded to say that it was already claimed. Bullshit. Like are you kidding me???!!!! Awful service due to a very rude and inconsiderate waitress. Such a shame, because I really do love this place and always recommend it as a #1 stop. Oh and my salad was supposed to have dressing on it. It came without the dressing and I had to ask for it. The little bit I got wasn't enough to cover the salad, so I asked for a bit more. And I was charged for it!!!! $1.25 extra for something that was supposed to be on my salad to begin with.

Fortunately the food came out fast & tasted good because the server really lacked.

My sister’s tortellini was okay, not great and a bit overcooked, but the vodka sauce differs from the other location and is not as good, but okay.

I ate dinner here at Aladdin’s for the first time. I was very disappointed in my experience. The service was very poor. My server forgot my drink I had ordered, no bussboys were attentive to my table which resulted in my dirty dishes staying for the entire duration of my meal. The food was just okay. The atmosphere was lovely though. One busboy even refused to help me even after I tried to track down someone. I would explore all of your options before coming to eat at Aladdin’s.

My salad was super fresh, however, my spanakopita was burned. Ladies room not very clean. My menu was all slimy with some kind of food. It doesn’t feel all that clean. There are a lot of stairs. I really wanted to love it there, as they are one of the few restaurants that are open on Sundays. Not going back.

Please be aware that people with accent or dark skin might not be welcome as happen to me this past friday. This is. A place for white people only. They do not need our business. Food is excellent but service to people of color or minorities is just "excepcionatly different and outstanding notorious" .

First time to Aladdins- cute place right on the water. It is not handicap accessible (or stroller accessible) so if the downstairs isn't open I wouldn't advise going there to eat. No biggie for us- we picked our childs stroller up the stairs. Ordered the Baba appetizer, Limone pasta (which is supposedly a staff and customer favorite) and some kind of chicken dish. Honestly wegmans baba ghanoush is better- Aladdins is chunky, the eggplant tasted bitter and it tasted charred- but not in a good way- just flavorless gritty dip. Also, they serve the pita cold with it- we thought the pita would come toasted- it was NOT appetizing cold. The Limone pasta dish LOOKED wonderful, but just tasted like all the ingredients were thrown together, nothing special i'd say. The chicken dish actually came out as grilled chicken over a bed of lettuce, raw thick cut tomatoes and raw mushrooms with an oil vinaigrette - so it actually came out looking like a salad, even though it wasn't on the menu as a salad. Also- why in 2025 we're putting raw mushrooms in a salad is beyond me, because gross. Our server was okay, but took like 25 minutes to get our baba ghanoush out? which is a cold dish so unsure why it took so long. Overall - plenty of other better Mediterranean restaurants in Rochester- would suggest Sinbads on park ave or Basha on monroe instead of this one.

Wow is all I could say... Take a look at the two first pictures and you will see my bewilderment. I did not know that each Aladdins was owned separately, but if so I would imagine that the quality of food would be somewhat the same! First pic is pittsford food next to Monroe's food. Same price! Almost enough said... But here's more. After questioning the portion I was told that the reason is different owners. After I asked for the honey mustard which obviously wasn't included in my "portion", I said wow and was snarked back with a wow what? Wow this is a tiny portion! Well we're not the same owners. I gave the pittsford dish to a homeless fellow and he said thanks for the leftovers, I laughed as I drove away, couldn't explain that it wasn't even leftovers. In my line of work as being a business owner I would of simply had the cooks make an extra .50 cent chicken breast and made it right, sometimes you have to succumb to your unprofessionalism and pride to make a customer happy... Even if they are wrong. (And clearly I wasn't, but hey what's .50 cents or a buck out of gross profits). If I were to have gone there first instead of the Monroe location... I'd never go to the Monroe location. Keep up the great work, happy demeanors, and smiles at the Monroe location! Also thanks for asking if I needed napkins or forks. Make a note on your menu that your unaffiliated with the other location. Will 110% be back to you On a good note, they both have the most amazing honey mustard I've ever had and I eat out every. Single. Day.

Worst managed restaurant I have ever been to. I wouldn’t go again if I was paid to. We would have loved to dine here, put our names in for a table that could take four plus a dog. Was told three different things by the (poorly trained) hostess and two managers. “Table on porch can take dogs. People leaving soon” “Two tables can take dogs. Different table ready soon.” “So sorry we gave that table to a couple (without a dog).” Only one table can take dogs people aren’t finished yet.” After enough BS to make a large salad, and almost and hour and a half we left to make a sandwich of our own.” This restaurant stinks.

I read many of the reviews posted prior to this one. As a trained observer, a this establishment is choosing to ignore the opportunities for improvement left by other visitors as evidenced by my recent experience described as follows: I was taken for brunch to Aladdin's by my partner for what was supposed to be an enjoyable lunch on the canal. Our entrés were good but, that's were the "good" part of the experience ended. We asked for 2 iced teas; received 1. Asked for the Dolmades appetizer and 2 lentil soups; received the Dolmades. We were half way through our entré when the server Sophie S. stopped by to see if every thing was okay. We told her about the soup... She said "sorry" but didn't mean it. She asked if we still wanted it we said no. Before bringing the bill she asked if we wanted a complementary dessert, we declined. We've visited this establishment before. Everything and everyone was fantastic, nothing was missed. Our overall prior experience was the reason we looked forward to going back. The food subtotal, for what we did receive, was 54.43. Lack luster server attitude, poor service with respect to the food we DIDN'T receive that would have added another 16.25 to the above subtotal and the fact that there are many other restaurants to choose from are the reasons we won't be returning. MAJOR MISSED OPPORTUNITY. "If you don't have the time to do it right the first time, what makes you think you're going to get a second chance?"

I got quite upset when we visited the place in last October and decided to post it several months later. We arrived around 3 pm and it was cold. We went in through the canal side and there was no-one downstairs nor any sign. So we picked a table to let my toddler sit, and ten minutes later a lady showed up, saying “you shouldn’t be here”. I cannot describe how arrogant she was. I would walked out if we didn’t have the elder and little kid with us. Apparently she needs to watch her attitude. We ended up paying full amount tips but I think we shouldn’t.

This place has gone SO FAR downhill it is so disappointing! Used to love coming here. Tonight we ate here and it was awful. Our waiter clearly had an attitude after we didn’t order drinks or apps, I guess he figured it would affect his tip. Too bad what really affected his tip was his horrible service. Arrogant attitude the whole time. Didn’t bring us extra napkins until we asked a 3rd time. My food was so bad. Gyro pita was 90% stuffed with Tomatos and barely any gyro meat. The meat itself was as dry as shoe leather. I asked for no onions but it came loaded with onions. They forgot to put dressing on my salad. I had exactly one olive on my Greek salad. Don’t be fooled by the cute setting on the water, this once nice established is now a major disappointment. Poor food and poor service. I won’t be back.

Absolutely awful and horrible experience. Flafil were not freshly made, instead warmed in the microwave and became soggy. We ordered lemony and basilica pasta. It was tangy, bitter (due to excessive blackening of garlic) and bad taste.... we were utterly disappointed.... waitresses were not caring at all. We left our plates full but nobody bothered to ask about how the food was..... I can't rate it even a single star.

I was excited to dine here cause we heard a lot of good things! But left disappointed ☹️ It took a while to flag down our server and it took 30 minutes to finally get our bill paid (this was after we tried multiple times to get her attention as well) We understood it was busy but it felt like our server was avoiding coming to our table, and we needed to leave to be somewhere and we would have been there on time if we weren’t waiting for the bill for so long. Overall the support staff and hostess were great but we probably wouldn’t visit again.

Haven't been to this location in a while and will not be returning if i could give negative stars i would . Our sever was Horrible ! Food was mediocre. No open greeting , didn't ask about check (2or1), completely unfriendly, when 1 of the orders was incorrect no apology nothing, didn't check on us at all , and when the check came he saw my card was out didn't put the booklet down just opened it with one hand for the card to go in it . I left a less then desirable tip and I'm not like that with tipping . If your that miserable in your work then just quit cause you made the experience awful and there's 2 ppl who will not be returning.

We attempted to eat at Aladdins and had a terrible experience. We were a party of seven and were so excited to bring our out of town guests to Aladdins. The kids were excited to sit by the Erie Canal and we were celebrating a ten year old's birthday. We asked if we could sit on the lower patio. The hostess who greeted us, seemed unsure and said she had to check with her manager. Her manager said that we could not because were were one person (a small child) over the max (apparently the max is six). We were shocked because we walked by the patio a few minutes before and every table was available. We asked to speak to the manager so we could clarify our request. The manager, Rylie, stormed up the stairs and looked at us with annoyance. We explained the situation and she still refused to seat us on the patio. Since we were two separate families, we asked if we could have two tables side by side and we wouldn't move them, just leave as is. She continued to say no becoming increasingly agitated with an incredibly rude and unprofessional tone. She finally gave in and said "fine, I'll do it this this time, but don't expect this in the future". She then aggressively grabbed menus and ran down the stairs rapidly, expecting us to follow. She made us feel so belittled and uncomfortable that our children asked if we were in trouble for going to the restaurant. I went down the stairs and she was standing there gossiping with her colleague about us. I informed her that she made us feel so uncomfortable that we would not be eating there. I can honestly say that this is the worst service I have ever received at a restaurant. This entire situation could have been avoided had the manager nicely explained the policy, but instead she chose to behave in a way that was frankly immature and petty. Intensive customer service training is desperately needed.

Today we went into the Aladdin’s by the water that’s what we call it I usually go to the one on Monroe because foods so much better today was special so we decided to go to the one by the water we got there and the male and female host ignored our presence there were people there just writing there name on list so others were going before us when I realized this even tho the host seen us before them they were still seating them then when I said i would put my name down she told me to hold on while two more parties put their names down then when I called her on it the female host lied and said they were already on the list when I clearly saw them put their names down.There was no organization when it came to being seated there was not a sign that said put ur name down and both employees and customers where just signing the paper not accommodating for new customers that aren’t used to chaos!! my favorite restaurant on a special day made me feel horrible and felt racist so we’re going to Monroe where customers service is always top priority at this point I really didn’t want to go to Aladdin’s at all but I’m not gonna let the rude and untrained staff there ruin what should be a celebration 🎉 Very disappointed In this Aladdin’s ! If customers service and great food are important to you I recommend going to the one on Monroe avenue the staff is always the same and definitely gives a comfortable and family feel this one’s more franchise they have the ingredients but not the recipe no love behind the food or people ! Don’t mistaken this restaurant with the Aladdin’s natural eatery on Monroe Ave in the city. The food was extremely disappointing. Very bland, undercooked steak, and overall quality was bad. Would not return.

We stood and waited 30 minutes in the center of the busy restaurant with personnel moving all around us. While waiting, we noted grungy floors in need of thorough cleaning. The bathroom was unkempt and sticky. We finally got a table and waited 15 more minutes to order. Tables around us were waited on, we were not. When we finally spoke up we were rudely told that it was a busy restaurant. We walked out, never to return.

This was an extremely disappointing experience. When we entered the restaurant we were ignored, although staff members were standing around near a counter and no one acknowledged our arrival. When the host came he quickly seated us and we waited a very long time we finally asked a wait staff member that was walking by to get our waiter. Our waiter came over and we gave our order, within a few minutes our drinks arrived and then our appetizers. In the midst of eating our appetizers the soups arrived, there was barely any room on our table for anything else. To our surprise the entrees arrived. The food runners were trying to place the entrees on the table where room was limited and a salad dressing fell off of the plate as well as a cup of hummus to the left of me on the table and floor. To the right of me the food runner dropped another salad dressing. When it fell off of the plate, it opened up and fell on the table spilling everywhere and onto my Birkenstock clog. The food runners were in shock and froze and didn’t know what to do. My family members threw there napkins over the spills before the dressings got all over my clothes. The food runners got towels and wiped the floor. When she realized that my Birkenstock clog was layered with dressing she said she would tell the manager. We moved to another table ourselves nearby, our waiter didn’t come over for awhile. We moved all of our foods to the other table. As we ate our meal our waiter informed us that the meal would be on the house. No manager ever came over to check on us nor apologize for what took place. There was no mention of my oil soaked shoe. As we were finishing our meal our waiter said that since our meal was covered by the restaurant that we could leave whenever we wanted. Quite an awkward statement. Some shrimp were undercooked , some chicken was dry and tasted old. The restaurant was not very clean, the silverware was undesirable, the windows in the doors were covered with handprints and the men’s room was filthy according to my husband. It was an unpleasant experience and we do not plan on returning.

Food was barely warm. Uncooked mushrooms in “salad” (mainly lettuce and tomatoes). Don’t know how this place has so many positive reviews. Idk if it’s bc our table was only POC or what but the service was not good. Had to ask for napkins and utensils. It was about a 20 minute wait for food that no one enjoyed.

I ordered the Chicken Greek Salad and the Veggie Combo as appetizers, and I have to say, disappointment is an understatement. The chicken was inedible—dry and overly salty. The salad seemed old and wasn’t properly chopped. I received a double portion of banana peppers, which felt unnecessary, and the cucumbers were soggy and appeared stale. Additionally, the Veggie Combo portion seemed smaller than expected. I used to be a regular here, but unfortunately, I will not be returning anytime soon.

I have been going here for over 20 years and each time I say, "They are going down." More than a couple of times I have received food that seemed frozen for months. I keep going back thinking that was just a bad day remembering the days of old when they served good food. This last visit will be my last. They sold me hard crusted, not warm, seemed like it had been in the freezer for months mousakka, and the salad that used to have onions and olives I was told I had pay extra for that. Hunh? They just opened a new store in Victor but if they serve food like they do at this location, they will be out of business SOON. It is sad how businesses forget to keep doing the things that made them popular. Another reviewer recommended Dalia's in Fairport. I looked it up and the food looks fresh. I will be trying that place.

Horrendous food. I got the gyro plate, it was cold and dry (they didn’t bother to microwave it). The salad came with raw dirty mushrooms 🤮. Absolutely disgusting.

It was the first time coming here. Very disappointed. There were mushrooms not cleaned and not cooked. 🤮 No salt in our dishes. Please don’t be fooled by the view. Horrible. Would never return. The waiter was nice.
