Crazy long wait which was surprising as it was earl when we went. But we did not have a reservation and the wait was worth it. There was such a wonderful selection of food to choice from. We loved the interior. It was so inviting and colorful. The fountain was a nice touch as well as the sky looking ceiling. There were three types of salsa that are provided with the chips. Each had their own unique flavor.

I actually came about 11:00 A.M. ish, and the atmosphere was pretty much chilled. Low - key and not too crowded. A formal colleague at the time sent me this restaurant gift card because I sent him a gift thanking him for helping me. The colleague had explained how wonderfully delightful this place was if you're into Mexican food. Actually, to be honest, I was very pleased, and I guess if I have to take co-workers or such, this is one of the true Mexican restaurants...I will definitely take them to. I'm a real history learning type-of person, so I like real true history, not the fake kind that you see here in the States. Abuelo's means grandfather....cool!

It has been a great experience overall. The food, the service and atmosphere were all great. The fajitas were greatly prepared and tasty. The coffee was fresh. The soft tacos were also good. Fast and efficient service. Will come and visit again.

No way !!!! this is my first time beautiful young lady was showing me the table.. !!!! The food was amazing and the service WOW !!!! I will definitely recommend every one to stop by and try the Mexican great food ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

We visited Abuelo's on a Saturday afternoon and we're able to be seated right away. The food and atmosphere were great and our waiter was friendly and helpful with questions about menu items. I had the Raspberry Hibiscus Margarita and it was delish! I had the Loredo (a beef enchilada, a cheese enchilada and a crispy taco) and I will definitely get it again when I go back.

UPDATE Aug 2024: WOW! Its been forever since we ate here. A birthday discount on meal by being a loyalty club member is another motivation. We got seated right away as not many patrons inside for Sat lunch. Carlos was our waiter and did a great job. Especially when the Abuelo's app wasn't working so he took a paper copy of email with discount price and fixed it. Also when he learned of birthday girl present we got Flan' as dessert for free. Shush don't tell anyone. We got two different combo meals and had plenty for leftovers. Meals come with refried beans but they have others if you want something different. 2022: I think the last time here was so long ago I wasn't a Yelp contributor. So much competition in Collin county for one's food $$$. Great meal and better conversation with in-laws. They had a note of front door about their labor shortage so I understand the longer than usual wait for food. Order taking and so forth and bowl of chips were done right away.

Nice restaurant serving good Mexican food. Tried enchilada, chimichanga and a prawn appetizer. Everything was good came with ample of sides. Enchilada with those steamed veggie were delicious . For the food quality the price matched perfectly . They have a good vegetarian options to choose from .

Our server was Taaha and he was wonderful. The food was good and the drinks were yummy. I wish the garlic sauce on my fish had been a bit more garlicky, but that is my only complaint. The fish was cooked to perfection and the mashed potatoes were FIRE. I will order the pork tenderloin next time, it was so flavorful. Overall a great experience and i'll definitely be back.
