My wife and I have been here about 6 times now. We are always pleased and always taken well care of. The food has great taste and the drinks never disappoint.

Met up with a friend for a Sunday lunch/dinner at Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse and the first thing I noticed was the vibe. The inside is extremely it-girl cute, but in a tasteful way. Not the tacky “flower wall and neon sign” aesthetic everyone seems to be doing. The space has these beautiful green furniture pieces that give it a modern, upscale feel without trying too hard. It’s the kind of place that feels perfect for catching up with a friend, lingering over drinks, or having a slightly bougie Sunday meal. We started with the bacon appetizer, which is basically thick-cut pork belly. The concept is great, sweet, savory, rich, but the peppercorns and peppers pushed it a little too far into spicy territory. And that’s coming from someone who loves spice. It kind of overpowered what could have been a really balanced dish. For my entrée I ordered the short rib, and unfortunately it was the miss of the night for me. It came out a bit bland, which was surprising for a steakhouse like this. I actually ended up taking it home and lightly braising it with more seasoning and enjoyed it much more the second time around. Now to be fair, the other dishes at the table were a different story. The half chicken entrée (with subbed veggies) and the filet both got rave reviews, so it may have just been my particular choice that didn’t hit. One thing I was excited to see on the menu was non-alcoholic cocktails with zero-proof spirits. Love that more places are doing that. Unfortunately the ones we tried were a little heavy on the flavoring, so the drinks felt a bit overpowering. If I go back, I’d probably skip those and just order a regular cocktail. Where the restaurant absolutely delivered was service. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made everything feel smooth and easy. Final take: Great atmosphere, great service, mixed results on the food depending on what you order. I’d definitely come back for the vibe, drinks, and a different entrée next time.

Had our Christmas Dinner here again this year. Overall the food was great. Only one exception was the asparagus which came out a bit on the cool side. Our biggest concern was the timing of seating vs reservation time. We checked in with the front desk 15 minutes early then went to the bar for a drink letting the hostesses know we were there. After about 20 minutes we went up to the lobby area to wait. One hostess told us we were the next to be seated. After watching many people being seated before us, we inquired about our seating. She took our name then walked off. We then asked the Manager and he told us that they were busy and the girls up front take care of that then he walked off. He did not even tell us he would check on it. We then checked with the "girls up front " and they again asked our name and again, no feedback. After 35 minutes they finally seated us. We do understand that you can't always be seated at your reservation time but we felt as if we were being brushed aside for reasons unknown. We were dressed according to the dress code! Also, apparently the "Dress Code" is optional. Some people were dressed exactly how they say not to dress. They looked as if they should have been going into Mickey D's or Burger King. Others, ourselves included, were dressed appropriately which was nice to see especially on Christmas Day.

Tried a few items at Del Frisco’s. The loaded baked potato was standard, nothing surprising. The lobster mac and cheese was solid rich, flavorful, and easily the best thing on the table. The cold lump crab cocktail was bland and boring. Service was good throughout.

Everything and everyone was great except the food. The sauce on the calamari tasted good but also tasted like every bang bang sauce on the market and straight from a bottle. The teriyaki sauce around the sea bass was so too much and overpowering and also tasted like it came from a jar. Mathew was an amazing server and took great care of us. But the food really was lacking. Asparagus was lacking warmth and flavor. The filet with Oscar style was very pungent and strong. Crab meat was good but very floral tasting. The one thing we really enjoyed was the lobster Mac and cheese. When you pay so much you just expect quality sauces on your dishes. I won’t be back unless they make some changes. They were kind and gave us a bday cheesecake. And the butter cake is good… but I’ve had better. Needs berries or cream to make it lighter. It’s so rich and with ice cream on top it’s just a lot.

Service was exceptional, loved the Legacy District atmosphere. Food fell flat, no flavor. Very disappointed. However, the steak was cooked to perfection and had a bit of great flavor. The primerib was not worth 100.00. This was not a Jean George by any stretch outside of pricing. However the atmosphere and service was top tier. Update-The manager reached out weeks later to address, he was professional, listened, and took in the feedback.

My experience here was okay. I came here for date night with my husband (Feb 13). My braised short rib was bland and lacked flavor, I do not recommend it. My husband’s Prime strip was tasty though. I am very aware that your menus change based on location. I asked her for the “Moscato D’asti” (FONTANAFREDDA, "BRICCOTONDO," MOSCATO D'ASTI, PIEDMONT, ITALY). She initially shut me down and said “We don’t have a Moscato”. I am aware that it is not a traditional Moscato, hence the name D’asti, but it is a sparkling wine. It was almost if she didn’t want to read the menu and was trying to justify her knowledge when clearly the damn bottle reads “Moscato D’asti”. I let it slide because I honestly wanted a relaxing evening and I didn’t feel like going back and forth with her. I just pretended like I didn’t know what the difference was so she could bring me what I wanted. I was very annoyed towards the end of our dinner. She seemed nice but in customer service it can always be a façade. We tried to make light of the situation and even get to know her but she literally walked away during our conversation with her. I chalked it up to her being younger and lacking in people skills. There’s a slim chance of us coming back here.

Dinner rolls (7/10); Rockefeller Oysters (6/10); Broccolini (2/10- was served very cold) ; Seared Chilean Sea Bass (6/10); Birthday Dessert (2/10-cake was served hard as a rock); Ink Grade “Andosol” wine (7/10) and Anejo smoked Old Fashioned (10/10). Just went there today for a company lunch. The food and service were good, but the servers kept bringing the wrong plates to the wrong people. Not a big deal, at that point, as it is easy to say that's not my dish. Unfortunately, they did the same thing with my left overs. I got home and had someone elses food. Over half of my $90 filet mignon went home with someone else. If you don't know which food belongs to which person just ask. Acting confident while being clueless does not earn you any points.

This location unfortunately fell below expectations and the best I can give it is a 3-star. The food was mostly good and ambiance nice as well. However the secondary servers were very poor and either not trained properly or just didn't care; probably equal parts of both. To begin, our dinner party of two were warmly greeted at the door and shown our table. We were then greeted by James who was very professional and polite throughout our meal. James was not the reason for my poor rating of the service but rather the other servers who actually brought out the food, and took away the plates. Back to the experience, James took our drink orders and bread was brought out. We then made our meal orders, an appetizer, salad, two entrees and two sides. The appetizer was brought out shortly thereafter, which was the hamachi and very delicious. Every is good this far, but here is where the meal took a left turn. Not long after the appetizers were brought out, a server brought out a side of mushrooms. Yes, we did order mushrooms but certainly didn't expect it to be brought out with the appetizers instead of the mains. I had to request the mushrooms be sent back, and this honestly was a mistake I would never have expected from a high end restaurant. Later, as salad was served and we were asked if we wanted pepper, the server managed to apply pepper all around the salad except on top. He then left in a hurry, and the feeling we got was that he was simply doing his job and didn't really care about the experience he was providing nor the results of his service. As we were served our mains, there was no cautioning of a hot plate, nor were we asked if everything came out to our satisfaction. Again, the feeling was that the servers were just there to drop off packages and be on their way to the next delivery. Finally, with respect to service, as our plates were being collected after the main course, the server was a bit haphazard here as well and managed to drop silverware on the floor during the process. With respect to the food, the bread, appetizer of hamachi, wedge salad, steak, and crab cakes were all very good and was what we had expected from Del Frisco. However, the mushrooms were served prematurely as mentioned above, and furthermore, the broccolini was fibrous and tough and not up to par. Overall the food was good except for some miscues on the side dishes. Conclusion: the food overall was good, but the poor service by the secondary servers left the experience unsatisfactory given the price point and I'm sorry to say I won't be back. This is a shame because I've had a number of very good meals at the downtown location and was a big influence on making a reservation at this Plano location.

I have been going to this location for years and noticed recently it's declining. The last 2 times I went the bar area, it's noticeably empty. This bar used to be full and fun! Last night I had a terrible experience. The service was terrible and the food was lacking. I came in and sat down and no one looked at me for at least 15 minutes. I almost left! My salmon was smothered in oil that tasted old. The olives on top were terrible. I needed a steak knife, but after my food was served, I never had anyone ask if I was okay or needed anything. I only got one drink because no one ever asked if I needed another one. Before I left, I went to the restroom and the stall was dirty. There was water all over the floor and toilet paper! I have never experienced anything like this at this location. Very disappointed.

We sat at the bar because it seems you get more attentive service, we were expecting a lively atmosphere, with good food and service. But what we got was ignored, and simply mediocre food! I would like to share my first time experience at this location. Upon arrival there is a valet service to take your car that way you can walk right in.. when my significant other and I entered the restaurant it was very appealing to the eyes, a luxurious and intimate atmosphere. We made reservations for 7:15 and were seated promptly. It was my birthday and the host at the front desk acknowledged today was a special day and I do appreciate that. However .. our server never even said anything after being seated and forgot our drink order initially .. but we will touch base on this encounter shortly.. starter - crab cake (10/10) full of crab meat and the Cajun cream sauce it comes with is divine. My significant other for his entree order the ribeye medium well and it came out perfect / juicy / flavorful.. he said it was the best steaks he has had as we have been to MANY fine dining steak houses. I had the surf and turf trio (10/10) as well , for our sides we had the chateau mashes potato’s and they were fantastic (10/10) , the broccolini was so fresh with lemon and garlic just lovely (10/10)… now as you can all see the food is fabulous… our server however was not. Our waiter Chris was focused on a table of 6 directly in front of us.. they were very well taken care of and he was very attentive with them … our table of 2 did NOT get that same treatment … aside from not acknowledging it was a special day for me and we SPECIFICALLY picked this restaurant to celebrate at .. at the end of our dinner right before he took out plates he gave us the biggest talk of getting a rewards program with them… again never acknowledged it was my birthday … no dessert to celebrate or anything of that such.. we have never been to any restaurant and have been forgotten about … this establishment really missed the mark here when it came to servers customer service and we left with a bad taste in our mouthes. I called the restaurant shortly after we left and asked specifically if they do anything special to celebrate for special occasions and the host said yes you get to choose a dessert with a candle the whole shabang ok… and he also said he communicated that to our server … a $50 credit was talked of but we will never come back here do to Chris’s lack of attention and attentiveness. We spent WELL over $300 for 2 people to receive below average service and we still left an amazing tip for Chris..the 1 star is for the food/atmosphere because it is very good.

Overall atmosphere of the restaurant is great, but the service and quality…not so much. For starters we walked inside for our reservation and the hosting was mediocre- something you would expect to see from a fast food restaurant, but especially not a high-end restaurant. once seated, the server was average, not overly attentive, but got the job done. The wait time for our food was obnoxious long. around an hour at least. once we received our food, it wasn’t as pleasant as we had hoped, my meal, the salmon, was pretty bland and under cooked. My siblings commented how their steaks were dry. unfortunately, that was a waste of money spent becuase they were not finished nor taken home in boxes. I didn’t have many issues because the idea that my stomach was hurting. My mother, on the other hand, not the same case. shortly after she left her seat and became sick in the restaurant bathroom because of the poor quality of meats at this facility. I immidiatly searched up the reviews on this place and noticed how the rating correctly mirrored our experience. The amount of complaints about receiving foodboren illnesses needs to be evaluated by the health department. overall, the bill was something you would expect, but definitely not worth it. You can receive better quality and service for the same price at de lincoln. Not happy with tonight’s Christmas eve experience.
