Great atmosphere, good drinks, and awesome vegan options! They seem to only ever have one person on to tend bar and run tables, so you do need to have a fair bit of patience. I feel like they would do better to have at least one more person to help with that, but I realize that might not be feasible. Ashley, who is often the bar tender when we're there, does a good job balancing everyone's needs.

We had a group of 14. The food still came out hot and literally every single person made a comment after the first bite of their meal. It quickly turned into a Japanese style “you’ve gotta taste this!” meal where everyone was passing food all around to other people. Literally every piece of food was exceptional. Thought this was a bar. Come to find out it’s a premium restaurant, with a bar.

Daily specials are nice. Food is tasty. Reasonable draft selection. Outdoor seating offers great people watching for the Lux/Wedge night life crowds. Bartender Drew is the best!

I have been here a few times the place is clean and the food was good. I ate their bear claw chicken tenders they were huge. The bartenders are very friendly and professional. One night I went they even had a live dj, I enjoyed the music and lively crowd. I will return nice local bar with welcoming vibe.

Great atmosphere and the service is excellent. The specials are phenomenal. The wings are always a great choice. The bartenders go out of there way to provide a safe and comfortable atmosphere. I'd highly recommend.

My now husband and I had our wedding rehearsal dinner here and it was awesome! Before finding this gem we searched through all of the many mainstream options the city of Rochester has to offer for restaurants and everything was the same; boring and overpriced. I then came across Toasted Bear Tavern, which happened to be the location of our first date 8.5 years ago. From my first communications with the manager Jesse he was amazing and eager to help. He went above and beyond, from meeting with us prior to the date to see the renovations and taste the outstanding food. To the night of the dinner, he was extremely easy going, flexible and personable. We would work with him and his staff again in a heartbeat! On top of the excellent service Jesse provided to make it a wonderful night, the food was out of this world. I heard so many times that night and even days later how awesome the food was and what a great time everyone had! I would recommend this place not only as a fun bar/ restaurant but also a great place to host a party.

Nice little tavern located at Gregory & South Ave. It is where The Beale used to be and strongly resembles it. I had their buffalo wings and they were very large and nicely prepared. The hot sauce wasn't all that hot though. They have several beers on tap but not a huge selection.

I use a walker and found the one step up and down a bit challenging, but there is a ramp from the street corner. Not wheelchair accessible. Ashley was my bartender and server and she was very nice and accommodating. The bar menu had good traditional food like burgers and wings , but also good vegetarian options. I had the chicken tenders which came with steak fries, and in addition to blue cheese, tried the spicy siracia lime sauce, which Ashley suggested, and liked it a lot . Draft IPA , also chosen by my server, was crisp and delicious. I had enough food to carry out a box for a midnight snack 😉👍🏻Prices are moderate and service was great. I even got some music I requested from newly inducted Rock and Roll Hall of Famers, Roxy Music 🎶

Decided to sample some late night grub @ a bar or pub with my wife, so we arrived here well lit specious atmosphere for goin' out to enjoy some music & the pleasures of "tipsy sips", while satisfying your munchies 😋 Despite the reasonable service of busyness, there could be more attentive practices in supplying the bare "dine in" essentials & condiments — automatically Although the error of a request to be a "WELL done" Rodeo Burger had been corrected, the wait was unsatisfactory in notifying the rudely "walked off" chef, jus' so the bartender would endure the need in supplying a side of sauce to the replacement. i didn't care much for the seasoning of the crispy chicken tenders Quite plenty & heavy, the meal was, nonetheless — for a reasonable price unfortunately, however, i am not confident we'll be patronizing again, to possibly endure another well "pink" burger

Then the food takes around half an hour if it's a weekend. I just wish they had a permanent dish in the menu that is healthy and not a salad.
