**************🚨THIS IS AN UPDATE TO A PREVIOUS REVIEW •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• After a very disappointing initial visit — where my steak was severely overcooked, dry, and burnt, and the sides failed to meet expectations — we were personally contacted by Brittany the Manager. She extended a warm, sincere, and professional apology, and made every effort to make things right. Her attentiveness, accountability, and genuine care for our experience truly stood out, and because of that, we decided to give the restaurant another chance. I’m happy to say the issue was completely corrected. This time, the steak was cooked to absolute perfection — beautifully seared on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, and bursting with rich, savory flavor in every bite. It was everything you hope for when ordering a quality steak. I also ordered the Cajun Butter Shrimp, which was nothing short of exceptional. The shrimp were plump, succulent, and perfectly cooked, coated in a luscious, buttery Cajun sauce that was bold, flavorful, and utterly mouthwatering. There was plenty of sauce to savor, making each bite indulgent and satisfying. This experience not only restored our confidence but truly exceeded our expectations. The turnaround in quality and service speaks volumes, and we genuinely appreciate the effort that was made to ensure a memorable dining experience. We will absolutely continue to return.
Elijah is the best the only inconvenience that I had which really wasn’t an issue is that the store food truck just came as we came so they didn’t have the lobster dip, but Elijah recommended the Crab Queso and it was quite identical I’d say! -From a kid, Elijah is the best.
April was so great. She was so welcoming and kind and was very helpful the entire night. All the food tasted amazing and came out at just the right times. Thank you so much for the great experience. Also the chocolate wave April made was too die for. For a first time making it, she did an amazing job.
Having eaten at Red Lobster at various locations in SoCal - from Monrovia, to Torrance and Puente Hills - I wasn't expecting a whole lot when visiting this location. Boy, was I blown away. Everything in Texas is indeed bigger. Let me start with the service. Shout out to our waitress, Paige, she is very sweet, very attentive! This Red Lobster is definitely by far, the cleanest Red Lobster we have stepped foot in. I was definitely taken aback by the quality of the food here. We are used to the hit-or-miss, mostly dry and small portioned seafood servings we have grown accustomed to at the SoCal locations, IYKYK. Not here. I ordered the Lobster Lover's Dream while my wife built her own Ultimate Feast. The lobsters were cooked to perfection, moist and the tails were about 4-5 oz. each, compared to 3 oz. in the SoCal locations. I am used to dry rock lobster and shriveled Maine lobster, due to previous experience at the SoCal locations, but the Plano location turned my expectations upside down. The lobster-and-shrimp linguine were to die for, decadent, rich and delicious. It was topped with plump juicy shrimps and lobster claw chunks. Wife's grilled salmon was sure a generous serving, also moist and grilled to perfection. We'll be regularshere since this location rekindled our love for Red Lobster. It is THAT good! Wife agreed that this location did not feel like a Red Lobster, but more like a premium seafood restaurant. Whatever management is doing, y'all keep doing what y'all been doing!

Our server, April, was attentive, friendly fast. We let her know we had a movie to catch and she got us in and out in time to make it to our movie date! The food was presented nicely and still hot. Thank you April!

Me and my wife have been eating here for years, LOVE the buttery cheese biscuits, and even though they are a seafood place, their filet mignon is one of the best in the area, including the place next door that is a steakhouse. Matthew was our waiter and he was awesome!

We have not come to this location in a while due to our last experience being less than stellar but we have nothing but good things to say for this visit. The host was kind and our waiter Sebastian was great. He was attentive and personable. You can truly tell that he’s trying and cares. Our food came out hot and decent portions.

I haven't been here in a while.... needed my "fix" I had the shrimp linguini. And a HUGE Ceasar Salad. I couldn't finish the Salad, and barely finished the Linguini. There was SO much to eat. My family enjoys this Red Lobster a lot. The service is always superb. Most recently we had Elizabeth as our waitress. She was extremely attentive, and fixed an error in our order promptly without hesitation even though it was actually my mistake. The crab legs are fantastic here!

The dishes were fantastic, just like every other time we’ve visited. What truly made the experience memorable, though, was our server Sebastian. His attention to detail and overall care made the service exceptional.
Red Lobster is a reliable, go-to restaurant that provides a good dining experience. Over the course of many years, it has provided terrific food, good service, and a welcoming atmosphere to seafood lovers. The cheddar bay biscuits, coconut shrimp, caesar salad, New England clam chowder, fried clam, key lime pie, Bahama Mama, Captain's feast, and Admiral's plate are extremely satisfying dining experiences. The Shrimp your way and the Crab your way are fine additions to try on your next visit. The bairdi snow crab and potatoes were absolutely scrumptious.

Tried the crab your own way. I got the RL Signature Butter and it was delicious. However, my crab legs were over steamed and didn't come out of the shell nicely. Isaiah was our waiter, he was personable and provided great customer service.

We really enjoyed the meal. Every item was delicious, very fresh. The lady who was serving us was extremely sweet. She gently showed us how to crack snow crab leg smoothly. Shrimps are so soft and well cooked. Shrimp alfredo was so creamy and dishes were full of shrimps. Lobster was so soft like softened butter. Sea salt fries are a must try side item. Oh, their cheddar biscuit is super hit item!!

10/10 would recommend this place!! My 7 year old always asks to come because she raves about the kids meal mac n cheese! We came for a late lunch on a Wednesday and there was zero waiting for a table or the food or dessert! Our server was Spyros and he did an amazing job!!!! The picture was an afterthought so the chocolate wave doesn’t come out like that, but after my daughter and I devoured 90% of it! Will definitely be back next time I’m in Plano!
I hadn’t been to Red Lobster in years, so I was pleasantly surprised by how good this visit was. A few friends and I went with someone who had never been before, and he enjoyed it so much that he’s already talking about coming back. The cheddar biscuits were just as amazing as I remembered. I tried the new Shrimp & Sauce entrée—perfect if you’re a butter lover—and paired it with roasted asparagus, which was seasoned well. Our server, Isaiah, was attentive, friendly, and made the experience even better. We’ll definitely be returning!

Red Lobster has made some impressive changes recently! The food is better than ever—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The staff is also noticeably more attentive and friendly, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. We had the best waitress-Paula!!! It’s great to see such positive improvements. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Freddy was absolutely exceptional in his Customer Service! He was sincere, kind,, knowledgeable And Made you feel like you were the only people in the restaurant when indeed he was , in fact , packed on a unusual busy Saturday night. The food was on point and delicious As always! What a refreshing change and withoit a doubt what made This dinner so Magnificent and memorable. WAS -Freddy! He gave us truly rare , extraordinary service for our table and we had alot of extra trouble that we put him through! I have lots of allergies and special needs, and he handled everything so beautifully and made the evening exquisite! Tuesday after work my friend and I came out to the Plano location for a good dinner and received amazing customer service for Marin. We will be back very soon and hope that she will be our waitress. After we ate and were leaving for the night we spoke to her manger and she was very nice as well.
Isaiah was the best server I’ve had. He was fast at everything and got us refills with out asking. He gave us great menu recommendations from his menu knowledge. I will definitely be coming back because off him and the food was on point. Thank you Isaiah!
Went for girls night and had a great time! We ordered a variety of appetizers as well as multiple items from the main menu. All were tasty and very good!!! We stayed a while and had great drinks and conversation! Thank Freddie fir taking great care of us.

Had an amzing lunch at this location thanks to the impecable service of Mehdi. Thanks to him we had the chance to enjoy a nice meal recomended by Mehdi to celebrate a special day. Mehdi was professional and knows the menu well and provided great service. I will only come back because of Mehdi's services.
We had reservations for 10 for a birthday party on a Sunday. It was busy but not crazy busy. Seemed like they were a little short staffed, Our bar drinks took a while to get. But Isaiah, our waiter was awesome. He was attentive and kept us posted on our orders. Food portions were very generous and everyone enjoyed their lunch!

Our waiter, Sebastian, was wonderful! Very attentive but not too much. It was a bit cold when we were seated but he quickly had the manager fix it. Our food was good but the biscuits were not very warm.
The taste of our food varied extremely. Cheddar biscuits, stuffed mushrooms, salmon, Brussels sprouts- all delicious! But the crab carbonara was super salty- like inedible salty. Jambalaya- over seasoned, although the flavor seemed like it would be good combined with more rice. We had great service and great atmosphere. Will eat here again.
Floors were dirty, light at our table was non-operational, plenty of seating but insufficient waitstaff. Our party of two was offered a six-top? Very low quality for the prices charged. Our waiter, April, was great but I expected more overall from the restaurant.
Sebastian at the plano location was an excellent server. Handsome, efficient, extremely polite and helpful. I can be a handful with my request. The food was good, the only downside was my drinks were horrible compared to what I'm used to. I had a frozen lobster punch, it was like, idk I could have made a better drink at home. The pineapple garnish was disgusting since the pineapple looked like it rotted last week and the still put it on my drink😒 then I got a sunset colada it was blended better, tasted way better but it hat another slice of rotten pineapple garnish, 🤮...like just don't put it and say you're out? At this point I think the bar tender knew me and was like I hate her🤦🏿♀️it felt personal. Over all everything was good, especially our server. But throw away old fruit and get a better bar tender. 4 stars for Sebastian good service 😊
This Red Lobster location has a slight menu vibration from the locations in my area. The place was clean, and the service was very good. Our waitress did a phenomenal job. She kept our table clean and our water glasses full. I thought that the food quality was also slightly better than some of the previous locations I have visited.

The ambiance was calming and clean, making it easy to relax and truly enjoy the experience. The food was the real highlight. We ordered the lobster bisque, jambalaya, and linguini, and every dish was flavorful, fresh, and served hot. Everything tasted great and exceeded my expectations. I’m giving 4 stars because I’d love to see this level of service and food quality stay consistent on future visits—but based on this experience, I’m definitely open to coming back again.
We were feeling all warm and fuzzy, reminiscing about the good times at good old Red Lobster. The menu is absolutely amazing, it's so tempting to just order everything. Overall was okay! Atmosphere of the restaurant is nice. Our server was kinda and nice! Wait time for main entries was an hour which was pretty long… Foods - We tried the Queso with crab meat. It was disappointing. The photo on the menu showed lot of crab meat. In reality, less than a handful of pieces. Biscuits were fresh and tasty. Probably one of my favorite item to eat for this dinner. Mozzarella cheese sticks was alright for me. My husband liked them. Lobster tail was a lot smaller than what I would expect. However, it tasted good. Steak and medium rare, the steak was good and not heavy seasoning where you can taste the beef. Better than what I would expect. Coconut fried shrimp was okay. A little too dry. The sauce was kinda overly sweet. Shrimps and scallops with garlic and Parmesan cheese were okay. Too oily to be honest. The rice was alright. Overall, it was a decent dinner. The waiting time for foods was long.
I'm a Red Lobster fan but was disappointed on this visit. 1. Cheddar biscuits were Rock hard. Asked server to send fresh ones. Second set were a little better, but not great. 2. Cole slaw was dry. Needed more creamy sauce. 3. The area I was seated in smelled like sewage. It wasn't coming from the restroom. It finally dissipated. My entee was faily decent.
Isaiah was the bomb! Very attentive and great with our service. Ask for him when you go in!!! Over all with the food not being the best … Isaiah was awesome!!! The best food item was the crab queso! Management needs to improve the overall conditions of the restaurant. They seem to cut some corners on their food options.
The best part of this whole experience was the fact that the food was good and did not disappoint and the adult beverage I had was strong! But the overall atmosphere made us want to leave… before we even walked into the door, a man was sitting outside panhandling! Next, the hostess claimed my boyfriend’s number was showing as “invalid” and that’s why we were never contacted about our table being ready (this number has NEVER had this issue with any other restaurants), the floor was FILTHY, tables were left un-bussed and dirty for most of our time there. Our waitress seemed to either be overwhelmed or her head was in the clouds! We had to ask multiple times for WATER, after the third time she finally says that they’re out of clean glasses and she was waiting for some… Not two minutes later I see another waiter come through with two glasses of water for his table! When we finally do get the water, it’s in plastic to-go cups…. which is fine but the cups were from CRACKER-BARREL! Took our waitress forever to come back with straws so we ended up getting some from another waiter. They were obviously short staffed and some were making the best out of it, others not so much!
April 2025 Came here after many negative business financial reports. Just want to give this restaurant chain some credit after all these years. Sadly, a lot of empty tables on a Sunday afternoon. Great biscuits since this is one of their signature items. My salmon was well seasoned, moist and delicious. However, my wife pasta sauce wasn’t enough. The fried fish cans with ketchup? Should fish come with cocktail and tartar sauce instead? However, pricing is reasonable and good portion. My rating as 5 is very satisfied. Taste 4/5 Temperature 4/5 Speed of service 2/5 we waited very long for our food to arrive. Cleanliness 4/5 Attentiveness and courteous 5/5 server did a good job. Will I return? Not sure. Will I recommend? Yes, from a pricing standpoint. Good value for seafood.

[6/2024, $25] Endless Shrimp. It isn’t. You order one item at a time, and it takes 10+ minutes per order to arrive. I have spent 72 minutes eating four mostly small portioned plates, not worthy it. My server was nice. The restaurant had flies and had some odor. This was my second time ever dining at Red Lobster.
I haven't been to a Red Lobster in over 20 years and I was very disappointed. It was around 7pm on New Years Eve and they were not very busy at all but it took 15 minutes to get a table. The service was slow. There was only one waiter in our section. It took forever to get our food. I ordered a side salad which I never got. I had the Steak and Lobster. The steak was OK but heavily seasoned. The Lobster was the only good part of the meal.
Waited at table for 10+ minutes before McKayla came. Drinks came with nearly no ice. Finally salads arrived. McKayla came to remove salad bowls and we asked for more ice. Biscuits finally came and were quite hot but had nothing to put them on. Diner arrived and was ok. Overall the service was way below par. I did leave a tip and likely will not return.

Giant disappointment. They have gone way down. Was dirty. I got crab legs for 30bucks and they just slapped garlic on the plate. Zero flavor. Needs a complete overhall. Wanted to stand outside and warn people to just hit whataburger next door and not to waste their money!
TOO MUCH OIL AND SALT!!! I am an obese man who loves fast food, but this was too much even for me. The two pasta dishes had visible pools of oil, the cheddar biscuits soaked through the napkin, and everything was so salty I did double takes on two different items (the biscuits and fried shrimp). They really need some menu items with an acid to cut through all the oil, I found myself craving vinegar partway through the meal. To put things in perspective, I rarely fail to eat even large restaurant portions and I NEVER fail to bring home leftovers. In this case we did both, having spent $100 and leaving 1/2 the meal behind. The lobster meat itself was pretty good, and the clam chowder was okay (much better than Campbell's but nowhere near a real restaurant). The house salad was fine, no bad pieces of lettuce and the croutons weren't stale. Service was reasonably good and friendly. There was a dead fly on the windowsill and the electronic checkout machine was sticky and oily to the touch.
On Feb 7 around 2:55 pm CDT, I attempted to patronize the Plano TX Red Lobster location. Upon entry, the host/hostess was not stationed at the front. Finally after 2 minutes, he arrived. A young white male who appeared as if he didn’t want to be there greeted me with a faint "hello". Before trying to seat me, I’d asked if a section where there were only two people sitting was available. He checked with the bartender who was assigned that area (a heavy set Black male) whom said he was “overwhelmed” to serve me. As an alternative, I had asked to be seated in another section with even less people, so the host inquired with that waiter (a Mexican male) who stated he too was overwhelmed. If these people are unable to function in a faced paced environment, they should quit. The industry they've elected to be employed into, is driven by multitasking which produces a level of high pressure. I was completely turned off, that I left, & ended up at the Red Lobster located in Frisco TX.
Ordered for pickup. I walked up to the customer pickup area, not the kitchen or any employee-only space. Instead of using words like a normal adult, the employee made a rude hand gesture telling me to step back. I wasn’t in anyone’s way, the place wasn’t busy, and I was only trying to figure out where to get my order because no one bothered to help. I spent around $100. Basic courtesy is the bare minimum. Zero customer service, unnecessary attitude, and completely unprofessional. If basic respect is too much to ask, don’t work the counter.
I was really disappointed with my recent visit to Red Lobster. The food was not great at all. It lacked flavor and didn’t taste fresh. Unfortunately, the service didn’t make up for it. Our server didn’t seem knowledgeable about the menu and couldn’t give solid recommendations or answer basic questions about the dishes. To make matters worse, the manager was nowhere to be seen when issues came up, which made it feel like there wasn’t much support on the floor. The restaurant also had an unpleasant smell, which definitely affected the overall experience. The vibe just wasn’t it. Overall, it wasn’t worth the visit, and I wouldn’t rush back.
For the record I tried to let the general manager rectify and correct the situation but she never did so here we go. My sister and I went into red lobster at 9:20pm on Jan 5, 2026. Upon entering the establishment smelled of a strange odor as well the staff’s attitude. There was a lady who I assume was the host (never found out, as she jetted towards the back) and a bald head gentleman behind the counter. My sister and I were placing to-go orders as we were going to take our food home due to the smell inside the restaurant. Our order was simple, as I wanted clam chowder soup with biscuits, and she wanted to try their seafood boil. The bald head gentleman proceeded to tell me that they were out of clam chowder bc they didn’t have half and half, but proceeded to offer me a lobster bisque (how? I thought they were out of half and half?) I ended up having to settle and quickly find something on the menu. I ended up settling for a baked potato with crab meat (an extra charge of $3) and Mac and cheese with bacon bits. Long story short when we got home my baked potato was a regular baked potato, and my Mac was bacon less. My sisters seafood boil was undercooked, and had 5 pounds of hot cayenne seasoning to the point where it almost burned her tongue off. We reported this and the general manager said we would receive refunds for the trouble we went through as they HAD clam chowder that night. Here we are Jan 14th with no refund and now my calls are being ignored. Poor service with no correction or solution
From the moment we walked into this Red Lobster, the experience went downhill fast. First, I ordered a margarita and presented my valid government ID. It’s a foreign ID, but I’ve used it at countless restaurants across the U.S. without a single issue. The server looked at me strangely, left, and returned to say they “don’t accept foreign IDs.” Makes absolutely no sense—so people visiting the U.S. can’t order a drink now? But fine. I didn’t argue. Luckily, I had another U.S. form of ID in my truck, so I went out to get it. When I came back, the server gave me the nastiest look, like she didn’t even want to serve me in the first place. Then I ordered a skinny margarita. She tells me they “don’t offer skinny margaritas,” which is simply not true because I’ve ordered them at other Red Lobsters before. So I settled for a classic margarita with salt on the rim. We also asked for biscuits right when we arrived. They didn’t show up. She didn’t bring the margarita either. Nothing came out until the actual food was served. Before the food even arrived, the server came to inform me that my meal had been made incorrectly. I had ordered an all-boiled dish with no spice, but it was prepared wrong, so we had to wait even longer for it to be corrected. When the corrected meal finally arrived (brought out by a supervisor, not the server), the margarita came with it—and it was terrible. No salt on the rim, and it tasted like straight tequila with nothing else. Truly one of the worst margaritas I’ve ever had. Then, before we even touched our food, the server rushed over to ask, “Is the food good?” We hadn’t even taken a bite. While we were trying to eat and peacefully watch a short 5-minute video, she interrupted us three separate times to ask if everything was fine or if we needed anything. It was uncomfortable and honestly annoying. We couldn’t even enjoy our meal. The last straw: While we were mid-bite, half-finished with our plates, she came over and asked, “Do you want the check? Or…? You’re not done eating?” The tone made it extremely clear she just wanted us out, despite the restaurant being practically empty. At that point, we just paid and left. Overall: Terrible service, incorrect food, slow timing, rude attitude, and the worst margarita I’ve had in my life. I’ve been to many Red Lobster locations and never had an experience remotely this bad. This location seriously needs training and better management.
I came in this location on a Saturday because this is my brother wanted to celebrate his birthday, well when we came in there was not a host to greet us or seat us at the table , so we waited and waited until eventually the host walks ups, with an attitude no smile, or kind gesture, you would of thought we did something to her. I would of walked out if it wasn't for my brother birthday, i don't spend over $100 on a meal for 2, especially when im spending my hard earned money. i noticed when other guest came in she actually was very nice and welcoming, i politely asked my waited what was the host name, so i can be sure to write a review or her selective horrible customer service, the waiter told me the host name is KIRSTEN, she had black hair and pale skin
I did a curbside pick up this evening for dinner for myself and some friends. I did a scheduled pick up for 6:15 pm and when I arrived I followed the instructions through the text messaging system. However I waited ten minutes and had no food. Finally I called around 6:24 and someone answered and said it would be out shortly. When I got the food it was all cold. It tastes like it had been sitting on a cold counter for 30 minutes. Then I open the lobster dip which it shows a big dish on the picture and when I opened it it was a small little container in a big platter of chips. I opened the dip and there was only 1 piece of lobster in it. That’s crazy to be charging people $20 and calling it lobster dip. That needs to be called spinach artichoke with a touch of lobster. Because that lobster touches it and leaves. The mozzarella sticks were not even cooked all the way. Took a bite into one and it was hard as a rock like it was half frozen. Lobster flat bread was ice cold and nasty. The lemons. THE LEMONS? We’re half of a half of a half of a lemon. The smallest little piece that you can’t do nothing with. The pasta was cold as well but the chicken was “warm” that was on top. Will never be spending money here again especially if curbside orders get treated differently from dine in. I bet if I was dined in, things would come on a silver platter and my food would be hot bc I’m in these peoples face talking about my food. Don’t waste your money here curbside or dine in. It’s not worth the crappy service and food.
Public service announcement do not eat here I’m not sure where to start the famed cheddar bay biscuits where more like scones no cheddar when I asked the waitress she laughed and said her it was her managers first time making them you read right her manager. Then the food arrived as I started eating I noticed my food had hair in it I called the waitress over she apologized and took my plate back to the kitchen only to return and say we will take it off the bill but the kitchen is closed. Now I’m at the table with no food as my guest continue to try and enjoy their meal. My granddaughter had crab legs and was bought a bowl that was said to be butter based sauce that was horrible during all this the manager never came out to apologize not one time. @redlobster this location is a horrible representation of the brand
