Our waiter Irving was very attentive and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great dining experience. The food was delicious! Our kids had a great kids menu as well. We would love to come back!
We booked this restaurant at the Maya resort, it was worth the trouble going there in the rain. Our reservation was at 8:30, and we were there one hour early, they were very nice and found us a table. The table side Caesar salad presentation was amazing, and the salad was delicious. The New York steak was perfect. I found the restaurant was a bit too dark though, lighting design could be better
Not alot of recent reviews want to add my 2 cents We had a great experience here they steak I had (ribeye) was ok but the ribs my wife got were perfect teaser salad was top notch blooming onion was maybe fried a minute to long but was still good Portions were good I was stuffed by the end Our server was amazing I hope others have an experience like mine here
Our experience at El Rancho was amazing!!! The food was fantastic, but our server Josue is really what made the night special. Josue was hands down the kindest employee within the entire resort during the week I was there.
Went here for one of our a la carte nights. It was very good! I love for the appetizer they have a whole presentation for the Caesar Salad. They start you off with some cheesey bread as well. Good selection on the menu, my date got a steak and said it was wonderful. The french fries were cooked with a grease that hurt my stomach unfortunately, but everything else I had was good. Definitely worth doing one night of your stay. I believe there was even vegan options on the menu!
Our favorite ala carte restaurant at Maya! Angel was our server (we dined last week - room 6508) and did an amazing job taking the order properly, having a chat with us, providing recommendations and attending to us. We loved it! Thank you, Angel!
Food was very enjoyable. Steaks are all NY strip but sized differently. Sides where very good.

Dinner was great. Food had some taste to it. Server tried very hard to sell us wine bottles and said he will comp the porterhouse and lobster but I'm sure there is definitely a catch to it.
Loved the atmosphere here. They have a rolling Caesar salad station which was great. The "blooming" onion was really good too. Steaks were tasty but very small and thin. Chimichurri sauce was delish. Mashed potatoes and mac and cheese were just okay. But the staff were great - we were there for my husbands 40th and they truly made him feel special with shots, singing and cake! Thank you for the wonderful service.
Menu is very misleading. It will say blooming onion, but it's just onion rings. All the steaks are new york strip, just different sizes.

Food wasnt bad, but the menu is very misleading. All of the steaks are New York Strip, just cut differently and given different names (Soho, Manhattan, etc). Cooked well, but very fatty and needed some more seasoning. My husband ordered the "blooming onion" appetizer, but it was actually onion rings. The fried sweet potatoes are sweet potato chips. The warm apple pie wasnt warm at all, and it was a tart disc with apples on top instead of a slice of pie. The cheesecake was coated in coconut, which wasnt mentioned on the menu.
Kind staff, but slow service and mediocre food. Went with family (4 people). Each of us got a different meal, and none were very good.

Good food, but the restaurant is clearly understaffed. Be prepared for very long waits for both drinks and food. The sirloin tacos were excellent, and the high-quality Angus beef. The pork ribs were decent. We waited around 20 minutes for drinks and nearly an hour for our main courses. We skipped dessert because we were already tired of waiting. Unfortunately, this is another à la carte restaurant at Lindo/Maya that feels understaffed and does not match the otherwise high service standards of the resort. Disappointing.
The food is not good and the service is way worse. If you enjoy luke warm overcooked steak after waiting for more than an hour , this will be a good choice. They have only two waiters for more than 16 tables , those waiters work very hard and try as much as they can to provide good service, management doesn't care , I personally have brought this to management's attention but they have consistently demonstrated that providing good service is not a priority.
Food was reasonably good and the portions were good. The service was terrible and there were only two waiters for about 20 tables. As such, this is a restaurant with huge potential but obviously suffers from poor management. We liked every other restaurant way better
We had a group of 5 and our server Antonio was no bueno. Did not check in with us and just disappeared. Portions were small and the steaks were disappointing. We tried for days to get a reservation and once we finally did we were wishing we had gone somewhere else. This resort seems a little lost with service and attentiveness and more about services to add additional revenue.
I’m not sure what’s changed in the last three years, but something clearly has, and not for the better. Compared to other Iberostar restaurants that don’t require reservations (which are hard to get anyway!), this one just isn’t worth the trouble. We arrived at 8:30 PM, and our main course didn’t show up until nearly 9:50 PM. We ended up leaving around 10:30 PM, not because we were done and then just chilling after, but because we got all courses took that long. The portion sizes were very small. Now, I get that small portions are a thing in high-end, fine dining restaurants in New York, but this is an all-inclusive resort. A half-baked potato as an appetizer? Really? The salad and fries were served in tiny bowls, barely enough for one person. The grill was good, so no complaints there, but the portions were ridiculous. Also, bread was served at some tables, but we weren’t offered any, which would have been nice given the 20-minute wait between courses. Last time that had tasty bread and herbs infused butter, but this time we god nada. The server wasn’t bad, but it was clear he was stretched thin. He didn’t have time to pay much extra attention to guests—wine refills only came after a nudge from another server. It felt like they were understaffed, and overall, it left a poor impression. The only redeeming feature was the restaurant’s design, which was thematic and well-done. Some music would have been a nice touch though; instead, we sat in awkward silence waiting for our food. If you’re really craving that grill, go for it, but otherwise, it’s not worth the hype.

Buenos cortes, pero el servicio es de lo peor que hay en todo Cancún, jamás me vuelvo a hospedar en el hotel, hay mejores opciones. Parece que te hacen un favor con atenderte siempre con caras de malas y lentos. El mesero que me atendió fue IRVING. Yo creo que la propina se gana y aquí hacen todo lo posible para que no dejes propina
Unfortunately, the steaks were inedible and the service was not very good so that I rather do not recommend this place unless someone wants to eat a very bad and rubbery steak
Ordered mideum rare ribeye steak and it was cold and not salty, my wife ordered petit steak well-done and it looked like charcoal. Very disappointed
My friend ordered a New York Strip and asked for it medium rare. It was served well done. He sent it back and the second one was also well done. He ended up with no steak at all for the night. Then he ordered a coffee. Twenty minutes later he walked to the coffee shop, got a coffee, and came back just as the coffee he ordered was being served. My father and I ordered our steaks medium rare and got them medium well. It took over two hours for the meal because the service was so slow. Another friend ordered the prime rib and it was at least 60% fat. Also, the dirty dishes weren't cleaned between courses. This was easily the WORST meal of our entire one week stay. I would never go back unless the ENTIRE staff was replaced.
We ordered medium rare Ribeye steaks but instead received roast beef from the oven that had not touched a frying pan or anything similar. It had unrendered fat, was dry, had no crust, was grey and overcooked on the outside, had not rested (and as a result turned well-done while we ate it), had not been seasoned, and was served with a watery gravy that had clearly not been made with the cooking juices. At least the Caesar Salad was nice though.
