A small open store front with outside seating under a palapa style awning, with fans all around, makes this quaint little place. The menu is nice and gives quite a few options. We chose mushroom omelette, divorces eggs with chilaquiles, a salad to share, cappuccino and cucumber with lime a mint drink. A everything was delicious. Especially the chilaquiles and the omelette. The main dishes come with tasty beans and a very hot salsa. The cold drink was huge!! For dessert we had the banana bread that was good but a little dry. Service was quick and friendly. We’ll be back! 🙏❤️

Highly recommended for your breakfast or brunch if you’re in the area! We went there twice after the first time and hands down their service, quality of food is one of the best in the area to serve you a delicious and tasty meal. Go ahead and save yourself the search so you can enjoy the rest of your day!

Good service despite being busy. We really liked the food especially the sopes. The lattes were delicious and the smoothie was also really good (and big!) Prices lean to the higher side but reflective of the location and fair especially since the quality is on point as well. Would go back, great place to stop before the beach.

This place is a hidden gem! We have been living here for almost 9 months and just found this great place! We loved every thing about it! The food was excellent… I got the combo waffles and a soy latte and it was wonderful! Chloe and Daniel were a wonderful support for us. We will definitely be back!

We enjoyed our breakfast/brunch here and were recommended here by a family member. Lots of food choices on the menu - we went for the Avocado & Eggs on toast (comes with fries) and think my husband had the rancheros. The fruit waters were very refreshing - I had the watermelon flavoured water and would definitely recommend getting one. Service was good and ordered fairly quickly before it got too busy.

The food was pretty good. The service was pretty good. The breakfast burrito could’ve used more sausage. And the avocado toast was not crunchy toast, was the feedback I got. The double espresso is enormous and could pass for like four or five shots which is really good value. Overall, it was decent and filling. It was about $25 usd for two people to eat here

I’ve eaten here quite a few times. It’s slowly in decline. The presentation is good. The staff is friendly. But the food is getting worse each time. This would probably be my last time. My bf ordered the steak rancheros which was watery (was supposed to be saucy and creamy) and my Mexican eggs was ok (nothing good to say). Service was very very slow and it wasn’t even a busy time. Not to mention it’s expensive. Totally not worth the price. Don’t waste your money here.

I really wanted this to be a great experience but it was not. Their Mocha is a little bitter, asked for it extra hot but it was even less hot than regular. Ordered the Rancheros with Flank Steak Strips and it was watery and the steak was grey. Quite unpleasant and rather embarrassing to mess up such a standard Mexican dish. Waited for at least 20 mins after we ate and nobody even asked to clear the table. I had to ask two servers who were standing and chatting two feet away for a takeout box. So not the best service but the staff was pleasant. For a breakfast place I think all they have going for them is their location but honestly there are many many other breakfast places in Playa you need to try, just make sure to avoid here.

Disappointing experience – customer service fell short I came to Que Huevos hoping for a solid brunch, but the experience left a bad taste before I even got to try the food. It was a sunny, extremely hot day, and since all seating is outdoors, it was already tough to sit comfortably. Still, I gave it a shot and sat down, placed a drink order, and tried to make the most of it. But what really turned me off was the service and inflexibility. I asked if the multigrain bread could be swapped out—something simple—and the waiter had no idea. Not only was the request met with confusion, but the staff told me there were no substitutions allowed at all. I don’t like multigrain, and I wasn’t asking for anything unreasonable. When I’m paying for a meal, I expect at least some willingness to accommodate. It’s not like this was a free meal or a major change. The whole situation just felt dismissive and unnecessarily rigid. At the end of the day, customer experience matters, and it felt like mine didn’t. I ended up walking out, disappointed that I’d already placed a drink order and sat down before learning how inflexible things were. It’s frustrating when something so small turns into a deal-breaker—especially when it could’ve been avoided with a little care and communication. Also, since the place is on Fifth, parking is all street-based. Be sure to pay the meter or risk getting ticketed—there’s no room for error there either. Que Huevos lost a customer before the first bite. It’s unfortunate, because I genuinely wanted to enjoy the food. Hopefully they reconsider how they approach customer service moving forward. UPDATE 6/30/25-Reply from the owner added. Shows that he trains the staff personally, as he replied in an unprofessional matter. Dude?! We are not friends, a customers preference is first! As I stated your simple waiter, didn’t explain crap. As a tablet would have been more helpful.
