This was our first time and we had a large group and we got a table with no problem and the place was full and with that the service was still awsome and fast, The food was delicious and tacos were well served and tortillas were fresh and soft. This is definitely my new favorite breakfast spot in S.A! Can't thank the staff enough for an amazing job with service.
The super tacos are the best love the place it is super nice inside plus the ladies who work here are wonderful
If you dance your way through the door of My Tias you get free coffee. My wife and I danced all the way to the table (with our waitress) amidst clapping, smiles, and pumping tejano music. Very friendly staff, great portions, spicy salsa... We had a blast.
This place was so delicious. Every employee looked so happy and so helpful. I had a carne Asada taco 10/10. The girl that was cleaning the tables had her station so clean. Place 10/10. Best place to eat at.
First time here, if you dance walking in you get a free tea or coffee. So I danced my way in and got a free tea 😁. I ordered the menudo and it was 10/10, tortillas were 10/10 soft fluffy homemade delicious. The tea was sweet and they have the good nugget ice. My son ordered the huevo ranchero plate and he said it was good my husband ordered fajita a la mexicana and he like it too 10/10, my sons friend ordered huevos a la mexicana and he cleaned his plate. My son enjoyed his bean and cheese and that’s rare he is picky but the Beans are completely smashed the way he likes it. Definitely will be returning. The menudo Lordy Lord it’s a must. Plenty of parking and service was good. It was a little chilly inside but I was near the mini split.
Stopped in for lunch and loved it. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food was fresh, flavorful, and came out fast. Great spot for a solid Mexican meal—definitely coming back.
Omg this place was freaking amazing!!! I saw this place on someone's Facebook reel so when I was in SA I decided to try them out. OMG it was great and I'm glad that I did. The taco was humongous!!! My husband and I ordered different tacos so that we could share half and try both. He had the Taco JuanCarlos it had avocado, cheese, potato and egg and gravy de guisada (Super Taco). I ordered the Taco My Tia's (Super Taco) which contained Potato and chorizo, refried beans, cheese and bacon I added egg to it . I can't believe how affordable these prices were. I'm from the Rio Grande Valley and the tacos aren't this huge. The server was very attentive as well. Restaurant was very clean.
First time at this place and everything was 10/10! Service was great and quick! The staff was working like a team, coffee cup was always full and tables were cleaned quickly for the next customers. Food was delicious! Carne guisada was on point and reminded me of home. Homemade tortillas were amazing too! Will definitely be coming back!
This one of the best run restaurants that I have been too. If you come in dancing, you get a free tea or coffee. Service is fast considering the amount of tables and customers. Plates are well prepared and reasonably priced. Definitely coming back even if it's 27 minutes from my NW side home.
Walking into My Tias was honestly one of the best starts to my day. The energy hits you as soon as you walk through the door. They had music playing, and without even thinking about it, we found ourselves dancing our way in — it just sets the perfect vibe. It’s the kind of place that instantly puts you in a good mood before you even order anything. Once we sat down, the food sealed the deal. The tacos were incredibly fresh, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. The tortillas were so soft and warm that they almost melted in your mouth — you can always tell when tortillas are made right, and these were absolutely on point. Every bite tasted homemade, comforting, and authentic. What really surprised us in the best way was the hospitality. The staff made us feel genuinely welcome, and as if the good vibes weren’t already enough, they even offered us free coffee. It’s little gestures like that that make a place stand out and make you want to come back. Between the atmosphere, the friendliness, and the amazing food, My Tias is definitely a spot worth visiting. If you’re looking for fresh tacos, soft tortillas, and a fun, welcoming experience from the moment you walk in, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!
Very, very good. We ordered the huevos rancheros with country sausage a la mexicana….on point. The tortillas were pretty damn awesome, fresh and homemade. I’m glad we stopped to give it a try and we will definitely be back. It’s small inside but very lively and family oriented too. We loved the atmosphere and the employees energy.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The atmosphere is absolutely adorable — vibrant, fun, and full of great energy! The service was extremely attentive, and you can tell the staff truly works as a team. Their efficiency and strong connection made the whole experience even better. Now for the most important part — the FOOD!! Oh my goodness, it was incredible. The barbacoa was juicy, flavorful, and perfectly tender, while the carne guisada had zero fat and literally fell apart with every bite. Everything tasted so fresh and light — not heavy at all — which meant I had room to enjoy a few more tacos (and I definitely did!). If I lived closer, I’d probably be a regular here. Can’t wait to come back!
We were in the area for a basketball tournament, and found this place. Upon entering they were very welcoming. Their menu offered tons of taco and plate options. We went with a potato, bacon, & cheese tacos. My husband ordered a huevos rancheros plate. They continually kept our drinks full. Visited our table to ensure everything was perfect.
If you’re looking for food with plenty of great flavor with HOMEMADE TORTILLAS!! this is the place for you! When I tell you it’s called my tias for a reasons because all the employees that work here make you feel like they are your primas or primos they all crack jokes make conversations and tend to you most importantly treat you like family as soon as you walk in the front door we travel from another city just to get this great food! This is a must!
The first time here, we were welcome with smiles and a great atmosphere. Our server Alexis was very attentive and on point. Karlita was very nice and gave us some samples, which was very delicious. I had the barbacoa with cheese and avocado, excellent flavor, and very tender. My wife had the Huevos Rancheros with country al la mexicana with salsa molcajete, very good. Chicharrones con salsa spice but tender and delicious. They close at 2:00 p.m. so come early.
I came here almost a year ago soon after they opened. The food was great and the tortillas were home made and delicious. At the time they even had a karaoke machine and tried to figure out how to increase their customer base. Well whatever they did worked. Today the placed was packed and the food and service were outstanding. I had the breakfast #48 The tremendous breakfast with eggs, carne guisada, potatoes and beans with 2 flour tortillas and coffee. My mom had two tacos: bean and cheese in one and chorizo con huevo in the second. The portions are large with good sized tortillas. Our waters and coffee cups stayed refilled and the waitress, although very busy, was friendly and polite. If you enter the restaurant dancing you get a free cup of coffee. And we saw people doing just that. (I wasn’t brave enough.) It’s going to be my ‘go to’ place when I come back to visit. And I visit San Antonio often. If you come for breakfast, come early because they fill up quick, but the service is so fast that you won’t have long to wait. They also offer takeout.
We finally were able to make it out finally, (thanks to TikTok) and it was BEYOND WORDS! AMAZING FOOD, Huge fluffy flour tortillas, sweet tea was great! All the staff was fun and friendly. Restaurant has a good vibe, good music and we also had an amazing waitress Helena! We barely sat down and they came to us as we were pulling out our chairs to serve us. I had the cheese enchilada and my mother had the Mexican enchilada and both plates were at 10! We ate our plates and didn’t have time to snap a photo. As you come in if you come in dancing you also can get a free drink (tea or coffee). Definitely visiting again.
Tried this place for breakfast and can’t wait to come back! From the moment my family entered, it was such a good experience! The staff was so friendly and attentive. We ordered the Chilaquiles plate and Chorizo Refio. Both plates were so yummy! The beans are very creamy and tortillas are soft! We can’t wait to go back and try other items!
7th stop on our search for best breakfast tacos in SA. Though it wasn't on my original list, we decided to give it a try. We weren't disappointed at all. In fact, it's becoming a recurring theme that we're finding really good food at any and every restaurant we visit whether the trip be planned or spontaneous. Great soft tortillas and flavorful beans are the highlight here. I also very much enjoyed the spicy red salsa. Carne guisada w/ cheese was very good, but a mixed bag of tenderness. By no means was it an issue of major importance, just of preference. I've had better carne guisada, but it is still high on the list. Can't wait to come back for a super taco! 4.2 out of 5
My honest review of this place is that the food is really good and the tacos are Nice and fat. Once you tried it's obvious how great the food tastes, BUT one other detail that is quite obvious is the price. The price is exaggerated to the max, far FAR from standard. Yes the food is great but only the people that can afford to pay can enjoy the food MY TIA's Mexican Restaurant. Also, MY TIA's is an awesome name for a Mexican restaurant, so much better name than the usual "last name restaurant". For the record, "I love to eat from MY TIA's Mexican Restaurant, I just wish it can be more reasonably priced. It's a mixed bad of emotions, happy and disappointed at the same time".
First time coming here. The atmosphere is quaint and a nice open space. The floors and tables are clean. All the waitstaff are extremely friendly and welcoming. Our waitress was a sweetheart. She had a cheerful attitude. I liked that she checked on us often. They gave us some chips and salsa. The chips were over fried and had a weird after taste... almost dessert like. Their salsa had no flavor or heat to it. It just look like tomato sauce. Carne Guisada - the meat is tender almost like potted meat. The flavor is mild. My hubby's flour tortillas were hard and tasted old or as if they were reheated too many times. Bean and cheese- the refried beans are very soupy. They have a seed oil taste or it could be lard. I was hoping they used bacon grease but doesn't taste like it. Beef fajitas with onion and green bell peppers- now this is the star. The meat is very tender and seasoned to perfection. The onions are grilled perfectly. Only thing in our order that was actually delicious. My tortillas were soft and good. Water tasted weird like a soapy flavor. The tea is weak. Now where you have to be careful is when you get checked out by the owner. All the prices on the menu is not what she charges. For examples: the bean and cheese came out to $2.50 instead of the $1.80 listed. Beef fajitas show as $4.99 but instead was $5.50. She tried to charge us $43.28 but when I pulled out cash she cleared the total before I could say anything. So if I paid card she would have doubled our price. With cash it came out to $23 and change. She did not give us our receipt. For me, the food isn't truly worth that price.
Disappointed. I Don't believe I feel for the hype that everyone commented on this place 🤬 I ordered 2- lunch specials and was hit over the head with a 38$ meal ticket. No drinks. Just saying I know where food is a whole lot better and the lunch specials are more reasonable priced that includ a drink . Like El Sol, Henry's tacos, Eddie's and panchitoes just to name a few.
