The service is always good here, friendly staff, good pizza for a good price. Serve yourself drinks, good selection of ice cream for dessert. They also have burgers (baked), which are quite tasty also.
I rarely rarely review places, because Im too lazy, but this place has the best pizza ever. The crust was on point. Crunch in every bite, and they are open till 2 am. The cheesy garlic bread was amazing. If I'm ever in Pleasanton again or near by I'm definitely stopping by for another slice.
It's not your Domino's or Little Caesars pricing, but hey, it's good pizza. This place has all kinds of Italian food, and delicious thin crust New York Pizza. My preference is a simple pepperoni and cheese.
Great, affordable pizza sold by the slice. I loved that they were open late and had good to-go salads. One slice is as big as your head and they cut it in half for you, so no need to order more than one unless you want to eat half a pizza.
We came with the whole family, everything was fresh, fast, delicious and we absolutely loved it! The chicken pesto pizza and garlic chicken were great! Everything we ordered was perfect!
Authentic NY style. Sauce and crust on point. Best in East Bay for sure.
I live in Antioch but everytime my husband and I come to pleasant hill we always make a point of stopping by New York Pizza.. It is better than any chain pizza by far.. even better than that overpriced Zachary's pizza..
My favorite pizza spot in Pleasanton. They have a great selection of toppings, to make a custom pizza. The crust is the best in the area. And their hot wings are also pretty tasty.
Best Pizza in Pleasanton by Far and I love their oven baked beef wrap. The beef wrap I tried for the first time today and it was great. The beef wrap was huge I even have enough for dinner. To truly enjoy a New York Style pizza you have to go here and dine at the restaurant. The pizza is so thin and crispy it is like eating a pizza in New York.
I couldn't believe the size of my slice it was huge! The crust was just thin and crispy the sauce was delicious lots of flavor the veggies where cooked to perfection plus I got a small drink for free!...what a deal!...I highly recommend New York Pizza🍎 in Pleasanton 🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕Plus you get free chocolate chip cookies😋
Love coming here, we go here often because it's close to home, open late, and a cute location like downtown Pleasanton
Best pizza on main st
I’m from NYC, and I’ve had all the pizzas in Pleasanton. This is the best. Best sauce, best crust, best flavor toppings.
The best pizza in Pleasanton. We get pizzas here for our party events. We love ordering their King Kong Pizza!!
Best pizza place in tri valley! Plus they’re halal, always good za
When you appetizer order of garlic bread comes in a form of freshly baked delicious pizza with herbs (without tomato sauce), you know, you are for a treat. Rack of ribs did not disappoint ether - smoked to perfection.
Great food, spacious, I always have a good experience here, I had a pizza delivered once went well, the delivery was at a late night hour when other pizzerias stop delivering, like the free fruit & cookies I've gotten there & they even have ice cream for dessert 🍕🍦🍌🍪✨
Delicious Halal Pizza! Best Halal Pepperoni I ever had! The owner is helpful, friendly, and has a great staff to make the dinning in or pick-up experience pleasant! 😊👍
This pizzeria is fantastic! The customer service was super friendly, and the place was spotless. I created my own slice, and it was absolutely delicious! I'll definitely be coming back!
After moving to CA from the east coast, it was REALLY hard finding good east coast style pizza around here but THIS IS IT!
Top tier pizza. You can order a slice for a out 5 bucks and they give you a huge slice that is basically two. John Madden visited this place along with many other celebrities. They have Muslim friendly peperoni which isn't made of pork. Also, the same man has been working here for the past two decades and he deserves more attention. Highly recommended.
Every time my friends come back from college on break, we have a reunion dinner here. The pizza is delicious and the staff are all friendly. Definitely our favorite pizza place!
Been coming to this location for at least 20 years. The quality of food and service has always been great! When I want a slice of pizza, I am fine with driving 20 minutes to go to downtown Pleasanton for New York Pizza. I love downtown Pleasanton and I love pizza. Great combo!!
This is the best pizza made by the best owner!! I mean, slices the size of your head, ice cream, sandwiches, salads, drinks..everything!! Customer service is always great no matter the time of day! Thank you for the memories and the slices :)
I have only ordered slices of pizza at lunchtime. That being said, I have tried most of their pizzas, and they are all amazing. The ingredients are always fresh and delicious. One of the few pizzas that I can eat that you don't feel weighed down by all the bread. It is a lunchtime favourite for me.
great pizza and great ice cream! we were on the road and my pregnant was craving pizza late in the night.... so we stopped by here and she was very happy with the taste! the pizza was amazing and the ice cream tastes delicious.... best part... they're open late, very late! There should be more places like this around the bay area!
Amazing. Everything i loved the food. The service was.excellent the woman Diva who took my order was so warm & kind and attention for detail excellent. I felt i was the one who lucked out finding a great place to deliver Diva was the person who delivered so appreciative so genuine and the kindest person. It was Old school & you don't see that anymore. Definitely going back & soon. Thanks Diva ( hope i have your name correct. You brought a nice lift to my past few days. Such an asset to your Restaurant. ( who were terrific also) & to the Industry .
At first my friends and I thought 6 dollars was a lot for a slice of pizza because we were used to costco prices. The portions are HUGE i ate one slice for breakfast lunch and dinner the next day. The crust was so good and I totally recommend this place, super cheap and very good!~
Always great Pizza! and we always have great service, everyone here is so wonderful ❤️, this is our go to place in Pleasanton! They are also open late! The pizza sauce is always spot on and the dough is perfect every time! Great flavors!!
My family was visiting from Arizona, we stopped here on our way back from SF, and ordered a party sized four topping pizza with a couple of cans of soda. I asked the gentleman who was taking our order if they had a coupon or senior discount, he spoke with the manager and they gave us $4 off our order. Pizza was good, service was good. No complaints. Also, we arrived at 830pm and they close at 9pm and we were happy to just have a place to eat dinner as SF required a vaccination card to eat anywhere. I'd incidentally left mine at home in Ione, and my family refuses to get vaccinated since they've all previously had Covid-19 the year before.
We came in for a quick bite. Ordered a pizza and they had complementary fruit and cookies. They threw in a free appetizer since our pizza took a little longer than expected. Good pizza. Garlic bread appetizer wasn't my thing, but I appreciate the gesture.
My family moved to Pleasanton in 1993 & from what I can remember this was one of the first pizza places we tried. We've been hooked ever since!! Any type of pizza you order will be good. But, for me a classic cheese or pepperoni is my FAVORITE!! They have the perfected the combination of flavors... from the crust is which is ALWAYS my favorite, the cheesy is delicious & cheesy, the sauce is just right NEVER too much (just the way I like it) & the pepperoni isn't too spicy. Oh ya & the slices are huge. This is what pizza is supposed to taste like!! This pizza reminds of the pizza the Ninja Turtles would eat & it would always look soo good. If you haven't tried it, you need to try it, or you'll never know what good pizza is!!
First time visiting New York Pizza, and I have to say the staff is incredibly friendly! We ordered a slice of marinara and a veggie pizza for dinner, both of which were delicious. The seating is comfortable, making it a perfect spot to relax, hang out, and enjoy a bite. It was a pleasure chatting with Johnny—such a great guy! We’ll definitely be back. Love supporting local businesses that really take the time to care for their customers. The vibes are great. There is also plenty of parking nearby and downtown Pleasanton is very lively!
Great pizza, great service. Open super late on the weekend!!
I always come here whenever I'm at the Livermore Outlets. I can't believe how much this place has changed, it's so much better than before. I love the chicken parmesan, makes me feel like I'm back in Brooklyn. It's quick, easy, and more affordable in this area, plus the quality of the food is amazing. Love coming here with my wife and daughter because we get to walk around downtown after we eat.
Never had a better experience , the owner is very kind and has been in the pizza business since the 80s ! Excellent food ! Best stop for lunch or dinner with the family!
New York Pizza Pleasanton has unique toppings. I saw the "Gyro Pizza" and I knew I had to try it. There were gryo toppings sprinkled across the pizza with a mix of pizza's traditional toppings like tomato sauce and cheese. There were plenty of indoors seats when I visited on a Saturday night (-11:00 PM). There is also an outdoor table if preferred. Their online menu seems to have more options than their in-person menu, so be sure to take a look (or make your own). Overall, a good spot for takeout with some unique toppings. I'd swing by again to mix and match even more.
I read the reviews before I came. Some good some bad. So I decided to try it out. The look: ....Authentic. As in, a little rundown and could use a little added paint. It captures the bizarre nature of now york through bizarre choice of artwork. The service: ....authentic. As in, a little underwhelming yet hospitable. Exactly what you want and find in NYC. Dont look into this too much the staff is great. The food: unlike the negative reviews.... I found my pizza stacked with toppings, perfectly sauced, and the crispy thing crust is unlike anything I have found in New York. Nevertheless, it was next level. It was floppy like your find in the city but had a unique crispness that made it that much better. Overall for a snack or meal under $10 this is a great place to start your food journey in Almeda CA.
The ❤️ Best Pizza I've had in a Long Time. The Crust was light & Crispy. I ordered a slice of the BBQ Chicken Pizza it was Delicious & heavy on the Toppings. They have Nice outdoor seating area too. I soaked up some sun, they also have 🌂 Umbrellas. The Cashier Jamal Greeted me when I came in the Door. All the wait staff were very pleasant & accomadating. Thanks for a very pleasant experience my 1st time in. I will be back Sincerely Sara 💜
Very thin crust pizza with amazing toppings at the heart of downtown Pleasanton. Party size pizza is sufficient for 4-6 people. Garlic Bread came like a little pizza which was really tasty. Tips: try some extra twists like their olive oil, Mayonnaise on top.
I have been here a few times now with my kids because they love NY pizza. It's always simple and good.

Wow, the pizza here is awesome!! The crust is the perfect thickness and just the right amount of crispiness.
New York pizza is a staple of main st in downtown Pleasanton! It’s also the best deal around. Super affordable for a double slice of pizza and a drink! I come for lunch often and the staff is super friendly and welcoming! When your in downtown Pleasanton, stop in and get you some delicious pizza at a good price!
New York Pizza in Pleasanton serves the real deal! I grew up in NY and know an authentic slice when I taste it. Crust was yeasty and perfectly baked. Sauce was heavenly, and there was plenty of mozzarella to top it off. Yummmy! Very nice service and plenty of booths inside to enjoy your meal.
Pizza was good. The proprietor is friendly and provides great service. And there's space for a large party.
We moved here from Chicago and really missed our local Chicago Pizza. Until we found this place. Exceptional pizza great ingredients and variety. Excellent service - owner is very friendly and professional. Highly recommend this place.

May dare to say best pizza in Pleasanton I've tried almost all of them. The crust is just perfect and all the cheeses on it taste fresh.
Typical pizza parlor. I often order online and pick it up to go. Their gluten-free pizzas are better than most. My family eats pizza from here once or twice a month.
Google has a picture of a pizza topped with egg at this place for some reason. So I asked when I was ordering about an egg topped pizza, the guy at the counter looked up at the menu and said "....all meat", puzzled by the lack of egg listed on the menu, I asked if it indeed had an egg. "....ya" was the response I got. No, it did not have an egg, nor does any pizza there, BUT it was verrrrry good pizza! Lol
This place is a nice small place. Its worth for your money, definitely not great. My lil one loved the cheese pizza with black olives :). As its on Main Street bit difficult to get parking, not a big deal though. Bit inconvenient for pickup.
This is our go to pizza place. It’s the only place nearby that actually has beef pepperoni as a topping. They also have halal options for anyone that’s follows a strict halal diet. We usually order the beef pepperoni and the AFG pizza. Both are good options, I just wish they delivered in our area.
I don't know if pizza place with better pizza. But they're mobile ordering experience is not good. I have to memorize the in order to figure out which buttons to press on the mobile browser. I pay by credit card online but every time I come to pick up my pizza they try to charge me again.
Four stars for offering gluten free crust on any pizza - first place I’ve seen to do so. Like this review if you think wheat is overrated! Now I didn’t say it was the best gluten free pizza I’ve ever had, but it did the job for sure. Also, NYP is one of the only places I’ve seen that distinguishes between “jalepeños” and “green HOT jalepeños” on their menu, which made me so happy I almost cried. Nothing against canned peppers... I just don’t like mildly spicy briny pickles on my food. Keep up the good work!
My first time at NY pizza on main. I worked late and was extremely Happy they were open!! I ordered of their special board. Organic chicken dinner with a yummy side of Greek style pasta a 2 small slices of cheesy garlic bread. Food was delicious! I also got a small tub of their tiramisu. The chicken was on special $9.99 and the dessert was $4.75. add 9% tax should have been around $17.00. But I was charged $23. I also ALWAYS tip threw $4 in the tip jar so $27. I have read on other reviews this is a common practice here. Bummer! Food was good though.
I sometimes go to this place for lunch. I can't comment on the authenticity of the pizza here as I've never had am authentic one before, but it is good! You get an okay value for your money. Only complaint I have is the place is a bit run down and the bathrooms aren't in top shape either. The owners are very nice at this place. I used to eat here pretty frequently and the owners recognized me and threw in some free food once with my order. I don't come here as often as I like due to my lactose intolerance, but I still highly recommend this restaurant.
The whole pizzas are delicious, but a little pricey. Check their website for some coupons. Pizza by the slice is a little less impressive, I think they may just have some remade cheese pizza and add whatever toppings you want then put it back in the oven. Asking for extra cheese makes it much better for the slice. Open late too.
Slices are great. Thats their forte! but in my opinion whole pizzas can be overly greasy / soggy. Others i spoke with agree. Updating my negative post from 2 years ago. Some of the The Old staff and atmosphere is back and attitude towards youth customers like my now 14 year old son has improved.
Good size slice, good quality ingredients, dough needed more aeration and sauce needed more flavor.
Loved the veggie gourmet pizza. Very very friendly staff. Would have given 5 stars but the NY Margherita Pizza is not upto the mark and have tomato slices instead of traditional Italian sauce.
Nice pizza with variety of choices for toppings! Also liked their turkey sub. Plenty of free parking nearby!

The pizzas not bad but it is overpriced. The meatball sandwich was just like the meatballs you get in a jumbo bag in the grocery store microwaved. The staff was super friendly and there's cookies but it was disappointing
It’s decent I suppose, not notable in either direction
The single slice and drink lunch item is a good deal but the quality can be pretty low. They'll take an old slice of cheese, slap the ingredients you ordered and a bit more cheese and put it in the oven for a minute or two.
Very expensive for the quality of food served here. I ordered a Greek salad and it was similar to a salad I would get from a cafeteria. They just sprinkled a little feta cheese on top.
One bite, everybody knows the rules. I walked in here with the bar set on the floor. First look didn't help. It’s a floppy mess. The tip touched my wrist, zero structural integrity. The grease? You could lube a '98 Honda Civic with the oil on this slice. BUT... the sauce actually has a nice tang to it, good sweetness. And just when I was ready to write it off, the crust comes in at the end with a decent crunch. It’s not a total loss. It’s still a mess in the middle. Absolute mud-butt city. But the sauce and that end crust save it from the trash can. It’s a standard football pizza. If you live upstairs, you’re eating it. If you’re two towns over, you’re not driving for this. 6.1. That’s a review.
Tried some pizza by the slices when we came by here. Not sure how authentic it is compared to real NY pizza, but the pizza itself is pretty good! Crispy but a nice crust. Very large slices too The price threw us off a bit though, with $6 just for a plain cheese, and $1 for any additional topping. Their speciality pizzas were $10 per slice, which seemed like a lot. We stuck to slices with 1 topping for each of us, which was good but maybe not worth the price

Ordered a simple build your own pizza with pineapple and chicken for dinner to go, reached home to find pepproni in it. Just a simple order. Dinner ruined as we dont eat pork or beef.
Pizza was not good 🫠. I only got one slice of pepperoni and by the end of the slice I had to admit it was straight up nasty. Unfortunate because this is close to my job.
I had a BOGO coupon. I told them I had a BOGO coupon but when I showed up they said they didn't have a BOGO coupon and there was a language barrier. In the end they did give me a discount however the pizza wasn't very good. It was pretty bland especially since two pizzas cost $70 after tax! They were very busy. Guy at the front was nice and tried to help.
15$ for a slice of pizza and horrible wings. The wings are breaded, greasy, and baked(horrible combo). Papa John's or pizza hut quality wings and pizza. Review's must be a lie, owner has to be giving free stuff away for a great review.
Don't expect a real New York style pizza or Calzone from here. Taste is ok, not bad. Service is good. But I dont feel like coming again to this place
I wanted to try this place to see if it was any good. I'm glad I only ordered a slice. Pizza dough was soggy and the pizza itself was just warm. How do you have just warm pizza. Tasted like the cheese barely melted. Not tasty or flavorful. I will not be revisiting this place.
Mid service, a pizza slice is like 6 bucks a person not worth it. Large pizzas are 22 average Overall top noisy 3 star
I got my usual two slices of pizza chicken and pepperoni and unfortunately Chicken on had like five pieces of meat seem like they reheated the bread the slice of the crust was hard hard and cheese taste still
Nothing great about this place. The Pizza is ordinary. Too little sauce or toppings. Overly priced. Just the name is New York Pizza. I ordered two pizza. Meat combo and Margarita. The Tomato sauce was hard to find. Tomatoes were raw and poorly chopped. No presentation skills. Meat was not much variety... Except only on the ordering menu. It's operated by Afghan owner. I am not against discrimination, but to compete, I didn't notice anything above the crowd. The service was lousy. I asked for crushed pepper 🌶️ the response was we have them on the counter by the side.. you can take from there. I won't recommend. For your money, there are other better choices in Pleasanton downtown for Pizza 🍕 or to meet your appetite.

Overcharged for food, calzones are simply pizza sandwiches, and nothing NY about the pizzas. Something's changed about this place - maybe new owners?

Very bad service. Old gentlemen has mental issues and he is very rude. Also, please ask them how they are calculating the prices because Tiramisu posted for 3.95 and he chargex 4.95 when asked he mention forgot to post the price. Also, when adding taxes for the food, they are calculating random taxes and charging you more. This place is fraud. Also, showed the coupon but they didnt honor it. They dont deserve anystar but i have no choice to give one. Al
I literally repeated myself 3 times to cashier and one time with one of the managers regarding what kind of very specific Pizza I wanted, THEY STILL GOT MY FKN ORDER WRONG, CUSTOMER SERVICE, THE WORST AND THE DUMBEST. They are very rude. Will never go there again. I am done.
Calling this greasy abomination "New York pizza" is a crime: The crust has a cardboard taste/smell to it, sauce is basically tomato paste, italian seasoning + a ton of salt. Tiramisu's poorly made too.
Ordered wings and they were disgusting. My friends and i all threw up last night after eating those wings. The guy working was really rude too. Very surprising. I used to love going here but now i will find somewhere else to get wings and pizza.
I came in for lunch with my daughter. New York would be so ashamed to have it's name here! All I can think after reading the other reviews....Are they related?..Do they work here ?..Are they paid for good reviews? There were small( cocktail size ) meatballs that were obviously taken from a frozen bag at the supermarket, sauce that desperately needed EVERY thing other than a pince of salt in it , slopped....yes like it was splashed accidentally onto a nearly stale bun. Took a bite , SPIT it out( no one was there but us two)...took it "to go" ..then threw it out after the dog turned up it's nose.SO BAD!! No,No, No, not ever going back!!. Also the counter guy needs to be talked to about his hygiene..rudeness..ehh..I can handle that.
I recently order from New York pizza with high expectations, but sadly, it fell short of delivering a satisfying experience. The crust was overly doughy and lacked the promised crispiness. Toppings seemed sparse, leaving each bite feeling dull and uninspired. The cheese tasted generic, and overall, the flavor profile was underwhelming. The service was slow, and the staff appeared disinterested. It's safe to say I won't be returning anytime soon. Save your appetite and explore other pizza options in the area.
We ordered the little Italy margherita and the chicken pesto pizza. They tasted like cardboard for an overpriced $9.75 per slice. Skip this and save your money. Not New York style and certainly not the best in East Bay.
I ordered from them after few times cause its one of the only open places at night. Today I ordered a pizza and asked twice to put the sauce on the and not on the whole pizza . They put on everything and completely burned the cookie pizza . When I called to check about they hang up on my face. Ill never recommend this place for any person 🤮
This is definitely not New York style pizza. The crust is thick, cheese does not taste good, the toppings are flavorless. Would not recommend this pizza place is Pleasanton downtown. The atmosphere is so meh!
I had high expectations, but very disappointed. I ordered the two slices of the pepperoni pizza and it took me back to my days in the elementary hotline lunch. My pizza looked completely different from the other pizzas that were being served. I couldn't even take a picture because it was so bad. I did take a picture of my brother's BBQ chicken pizza that looked and tasted pretty good. If you decide to come here, don't get a pepperoni slice.
Guy who takes order was chilling in the kitchen making me wait long (he saw me and knew I was there waiting). Very unprofessional. Order took another long time. Restaurant wasn’t busy at all. Maybe time to learn better customer service or it is just bad day for them.

I recently visited this restaurant and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. I ordered a pizza, but when I received the bill, I noticed I was charged extra for an item I never ordered. When I brought it to the manager’s attention, the situation was not handled professionally, and I did not receive a satisfactory explanation or resolution. Being overcharged without a clear reason is unacceptable, and it left me feeling misled. I recommend that customers carefully review their bills before paying. Once again charging customers for something that never ordered is completely unacceptable! The manager is charging customers by his own choice he is very dishonest, disrespectful, unprofessional, unqualified person! I know the owner he is a great person and my friend but unfortunately his manager is not the one who should be there This was not the first, 2nd or 3rd time he did that with me many times it happened to me and other customers. I hope management improves transparency and customer service moving forward
