My husband and I had the pleasure of dining here tonight! Everything was amazing from the food to the service. You can tell the owner truly cares about his business and his customers. Our server Donna was great! Very attentive and knowledgeable. My husband had the Piedmontese steak and I had the seafood pasta. We had the calamari as an appetizer and crème brulee for dessert. Outstanding!! Even the bread, bean salad and the red pepper puree/oil for dipping was delicious. The bread was very fresh. Highly recommend!! Can’t believe we haven’t tried this place sooner.
Food and service exceptional!!!! Our host Mr. Joe was amazing, he could tell the ingredients of all the mocktails making it easy to pick from. The seafood pasta was mind blowing, also the seabass entree - Spigola e Fungi. This place has become my favorite Italian food spot!!!!! 🫶
5 Stars – Exceptional Experience at La Bistecca Italian Grille La Bistecca is a true gem. The ambiance is warm and inviting, the service flawless — Donna took amazing care of us, and owner Jerry’s passion for guest satisfaction really shines through. The arancini was the best we’ve ever had, cocktails were on point, and the main courses were absolutely delicious. Every detail was thoughtfully executed. A true labor of love — can’t wait to come back!
Reservation for 8pm on Friday night. Arrived at 7:55pm and we were seated immediately. Everything was top notch.. excellent old fashioned. Hands down, best escargot I’ve ever had. Our server Joe was professional and amazing, best service we have had at any restaurant in a very long time. Both pasta dishes we had for our entrees were excellent as well. We will definitely be back again. Oh and they had live music as well, another bonus! 5 stars all around 👍🏻
Truly the best dining experience I've had! From the time we walked through the door, our server Michael took care of us with the utmost care and respect. Our food was absolutely fantastic, as were the drinks. If you are looking to treat yourself, this is the place. The ambiance with the food and service makes you feel like you're on another planet! (The food was too delicious to take pictures before we dug in!)
We're locals but first time here last night. GREAT place! We ate at the bar and enjoyed excellent piano and singing from Mike and service/drinks from Donna. Everyone was so nice, friendly and welcoming. We'll immediately add this to our short list of favorite regular spots. The ONLY criticism or recommendation would be to add some legit vegetarian meals to the menu, as my wife was stuck ordering sides. We still loved it but I hate to get a nice full dinner when she can't.
So you want to feel like a King or Queen? Well then you need to visit La Bistecca. The service is top notch and the food is just as special. My wife and I have eaten here roughly 4 times and never even remotely disappointed. Its not cheap (especially drinks at the bar) but the quality is 2nd to none. And trust me, you will walk away saying that it was worth every penny. So if you feel like treating yourself to something special….this is your place.
Update 7/8/23: Me and my wife and child alongside her life-long friend and husband went there this past weekend for her birthday! Not only was the service, food, ambiance still amazing! But I just cannot rave about the chef's to the staff and all the way to the owner enough! This place is beyond a gem! Why? The folks that are her do not treat this place as their job. They treat it as if it's their own place. Where they strive for perfection in every sense of the word. You cannot say anything bad about this place! They put their heart and soul into every single thing. We have been here more than a few times and this place and it's people are the ones who set the bar in the restaurant industry! Thanks for making our friends birthday special! And all that you continue to do! Our first time here and they didn't disappoint. Me and my wife were treated like family. Every dish or side was seasoned to perfection. Portions were more than generous! Service was above par! This place takes care of its guests and I cannot tell you how amazing the cowboy and the filet was. My wife's was medium rare and mine rare. They were both cooked to perfection! Flavors and presentation was perfect. We cannot wait to go back!
Phenomenal experience. Best calamari I've ever had. Just wish they included a few more pieces. Piedmontese beef was superb. Great atmosphere with the romantic lighting and live piano singer. Highly recommend.
My husband and I just went here for a date night. We don’t get out too often, so we were looking for something nice. After a quick internet search, I stumbled upon La Bistecca. It had amazing reviews, so we decided to try it out. They did not disappoint! We were greeted by the owner, Jerry, who was extremely friendly and makes a point to get to know his customers. The service was phenomenal, and all the wait staff were amazing. Shout out to Michael, our server, who was great! All of the food was so delicious: the bread, the salad, the main dishes (we ordered the lamb chops and chicken Parmesan), and the amazing chocolate cake!! We can’t wait to come back! If you’re looking for a nice dinner date, you will love it here.
This was my first experience here and I took my Dad for his 62nd birthday. Kevin, our waiter, was world-class. Service was impeccable. The food was fantastic. This place screams “date night” and yet I love that the place feels like it’s a “no frills, all about the food” vibe. I’ll be coming back again for sure!
This restaurant blew our socks off! From the moment we stepped in we were greeted with a smiling face and taken back to our table that was so beautifully set (rose napkins? Love it!). We made this reservation for our 4 year wedding anniversary and were treated like royalty the whole evening. We were lucky enough to meet and converse with the owner Jerry and he gave amazing recommendations and told us stories, it was so lovely! We ordered a drink and had to try the Salsiccia Alla Cacciatore. That Constanza family sausage was truly the most delicious sausage I have ever eaten. Then the warm bread with olive oil and pepper puree was so good I was afraid I would spoil my dinner by eating it all. My main was the Costola Corta Di Manzo (short rib with horseradish risotto) which was so rich and creamy and literally melted in my mouth. My husband got the 24 Oz Piedmontese Ribeye "Cowboy" and this was a serious steak that was cooked to perfection! Even the side of green beans were some of the best seasoned vegetables ever. The night ended with them surprising us with the most perfect creme brulee with a candle. So sweet! I wish I had done this review sooner so I could remember the name of our server and give her a shout out. She was so attentive and kind. She even made sure I got some to go truffle mac and cheese and their limited edition cinnamon roll cheesecake (not pictured but soooo tasty). We will definitely be back for another special occasion so we can try even more of this stacked menu.
Wow! Last night was our very first time visiting this restaurant thanks to a gift card from our wedding. Everything was amazing from the warm greeting at the door by the owner, the rose folded napkins and table confetti for Valentine’s, to ending the night in the lounge and chatting with the bartender and piano player. Food was spectacular, martinis on point and the service was impeccable. Everyone was extremely friendly and we left feeling like we found a true gem!
Came here for our anniversary. Walked in and were immediately greeted like they were expecting us. The staff was friendly and genuine. Megan took excellent care of us and made sure our night was exceptional. The Brussel Sprouts were not in the menu but were a featured item and OMG! The portion is huge and we almost inhaled the Brussels. The recipe and bacon mixture is wonderfully delicious. We opted for the 9 oz steak and swapped the green beans for asparagus and I ordered creamed spinach- also off the menu. That was the best cream spinach I have had in a long time. All my items were seasoned well and we will be back. Megan also is a bar tender and made me a rum prickly pear cocktail- she was the BEST!
I have gone here many times. Jerry and his staff especially Michael (our waiter) have always been top notch. They treat you like it’s your first time every-time. This last time I went there was especially special. I took my mom there for pre Mother’s Day dinner. Mom had been craving Eggplant Parmesan and Jerry and his staff made it happen even though it wasn’t on the menu. La bisteca is a rare gem of culinary arts and a world class wait staff.
Amazing place. Took my wife for her birthday dinner. Atmosphere was excellent, and our server Eric was outstanding.
This is one of the best Italian places around, I have been here a bunch of time to celebrate certain occasions. I really love the food here, starting from the bread the olive oil, the bean salad they give with the bread. I have tried their Lamb chops, the steak and the pasta. For desert tried the tiramisu. They have really nice service, and they never make you feel rushed and for sure they are a bit expensive than regular joint but their food makes it worth it and definitely nice place for celebrating something special
My wife and I had a fantastic dinner for my birthday. Their steaks are amazing. The beef comes from Italian heritage cattle that is so lean and delicious. I would highly recommend the cowboy steak.
The food was delicious, the ambience was lovely and the customer service was. really good. They also had live music on Saturday.
Excellent food! I am coming from out of town and was looking for a fancier dining experience. I could not have come to a better establishment! Family owned, you’re bound to run into one of the owners during your time and chat for a bit. The staff is very attentive and KNOWLEDGABLE - they know the menu like the back of their hand! This restaurant is known for piedmontese beef which is a muscular species of cow! You must try a steak if you do come but their other entrees are also top notch! Thank you for a great dinner!
We ate at La Bistecca for Valentine's day and we were lucky enough to find a table as a walk in . The staff are knowledgeable and outstanding. Overall, the food was very good but the star of the show was the potatoes! Honestly the best potatoes I have ever eaten, crispy, light and perfectly seasoned. While the meal was expensive, it was worth an occasional indulgence.
Our go-to place when in town. The menu selections are wonderful and the servers, mixologists, and owner, Jerry Costanza, make diners feel very comfortable and welcome.
My husband and our son went here the other day and I still cannot stop thinking about our experience here. Wonderful service. They even gave my son 2 brand new hot wheel toys just to keep him occupied at dinner! We very much appreciated that. The food was homemade and absolutely delicious. We will definitely be coming back here, and soon!
We celebrated our 51st wedding anniversary at La Bistecca with close friends who were celebrating their 45th. We had a great time. The food choice was excellent. It was prepared to perfection. Our server, Kevin B, managed the evening with knowledge and aplomb. And he provided a really great pen to sign the credit card receipt. Unfortunately, I had to return it.
I don't even know how to put into words how incredible this place is. Our server Donna was kind and attentive, she was one of the best servers I’ve ever had. The owner treats the restaurant as his home, greeting us from the front door. The food is astonishing! The busser was so sweet too. Thank you for welcoming us into your restaurant, we will be back!
This could have been the best meal I’ve ever had. I’m a foodie and food snob so that’s a lot for me to say! Appetizers were. The charcuterie board and escargot. Both outstanding I had the Piedmontese NY strip and my eyes rolled to the back of my head. Every single thing we ate was absolutely delicious and prepared with excellence.
I typically never leave reviews for restaurants but after eating here last night I had to leave one. Honestly the BEST meal I've EVER had. I made a reservation here for my boyfriend's birthday in the dining room. We made a 40 minute drive, so I was a little nervous that we would be let down (we never go out to eat in Plymouth, so this was a new experience). I was blown away! Hospitality is a 10/10 - the entire staff is so kind! The ambiance is a 10/10 - the lighting is so romantic and the restaurant is so clean (bathrooms are spotless). Our server, Kevin, was knowledgeable about everything on the menu and gave us a rundown about the restaurant, its history, and about the food itself. He was super polite, SO speedy, and one of the best servers I've ever had! We started with a margarita and a moscow mule - pretty good, what you would typically expect. But the food was insane!! The bread they brought to the table was so fresh, and we loved the bean dip/salad they served with it. we ordered the Arrancini as an appetizer, the sauce was delicious. The side salads were so flavorful, I loved the caesar salad (the dressing was amazing). I ordered the Filettini Siciliana, which came with parmesan risotto....... I literally could cut the steak with my FORK - that's how tender it was. It was my first time trying risotto ever and I was so impressed! My boyfriend had the braised beef short rib and ordered the mushroom risotto (instead of the horseradish risotto), the short rib was so tender that it fell apart when he cut into it. His risotto was also delicious. The food is very well-priced - the portions are HUGE and the quality is perfect and so flavorful. We ordered a tiramisu for dessert, and it was (no joke) one of the best desserts I've ever had (and it was huge!!!) Kevin even put a birthday candle on it! If you are going to take anything away from this review, let it be this: (1) Order a dish with beef in it! I promise you won't be disappointed; and (2) Request Kevin as your server! He will made your dining experience one to remember! We will 1000000% be returning for another meal.
Had the most delicious dinner ever anywhere! Brussels Sprouts the best flavor - must try - Sea Bass was so fresh & steak amazing - loved their sides to go with too! If you have not been - Run .. go enjoy 😋

La Bistecca is one of my absolute favorite places to celebrate life. The escargot is phenomenal, the wine list is outstanding, and every visit feels special. A must visit, you won’t be disappointed.
We felt truly welcome. Service was impeccable; attentive but not intrusive. Our meals were as near perfect as possible. The live music was a trip back to '60s supper clubs. Perfect for special occasions, or when you just want to treat yourself.
Wife took me for a birthday dinner, our first time there. Amazing experience. Service was unmatched, steak was perfectly prepared. The entire staff worked as one, always on top of each tables needs and super friendly. Went to the piano bar after for drinks and dessert. Same experience. Highly recommended.
Amazing service, food, and live music! Our new favorite spot! I cannot wait to go back! Everyone was so friendly it was so nice.
My husband and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary here with an exquisite dinner. The service was attentive and the food was outstanding. We called ahead to confirm that the kitchen could accommodate a life-threatening allergy and spoke to the owner, who confidently assured us of the care that would be taken to address our concern. This was no empty assurance: he clearly articulated an appreciation and understanding of the care needed to avoid cross-contamination. We spoke to the server when we arrived and she also addressed our concerns with attention to detail and made multiple trips to confirm details of ingredients. The care the staff demonstrated should be a relief to anyone with a food allergy who wishes to still enjoy a fine dining experience: it is rare, and therefore all the more appreciated.
From the moment we walked in, our experience was exceptional. The owner greeted us personally at the door, and we enjoyed a warm, engaging conversation about his family’s rich history and the heartfelt origins of the restaurant. That personal touch set the tone for the entire evening. The food? Absolutely outstanding. For the appetizer, I had the *Arancini alla Ermini* — perfectly crisp risotto balls filled with creamy fontina cheese and served with a flavorful palomino sauce. Every bite was heavenly. For my entrée, I chose the *Filettini di Manzo alla Sicilian* — tender Piedmontese beef tips, lightly breaded and topped with a robust tomato garlic ammoglio, paired beautifully with vintage sauce and a delicate parmesan risotto. The meal was rounded out with fresh homemade bread, a crisp salad, and perfectly cooked green beans. The wait staff was attentive and thoughtful, anticipating every need without being intrusive. The service and food were both flawless. Frank Sinatra songs lifted the atmosphere perfectly! Five stars doesn’t do this place justice — it deserves ten! We will definitely be returning.
The best kept secret in town. We go here every year for my birthday and Jerry and the team take such good care of us. They are an amazing staff and the food is unparalleled. Definitely check it out and tell your friends.
Authentic Italian, with the coziest atmosphere and wonderful service. The food is simply outstanding and the staff are just wonderful. Highly, highly recommend!
We happened to be driving and decided to take a detour to have a bite while an approaching storm neared. It made our evening! The outside is not a reflection of the classy and welcoming atmosphere inside. The setting was romantic, the food was outstanding, the wine list was good and the service impeccable and friendly. I had a Piedmontese steak, I had never heard this designation prior, great flavor and as tender the next evening for leftovers My wife had the lambchops, that initially she felt might be too salty, but the taste grew as she ate them. I try a piece and liked them very much. It was a very memorable dinner. If we ever fly to Michigan and happen to be nearby will definitely patronize them again.
We were recently here for the first time. My husband and I wanted to try somewhere new for my birthday. It's less than a 10 min drive from our house, we've always driven by, but had never been in. Atmosphere was great. Our server Lisa was amazing! She suggested so many great things, we definitely left there stuffed. Everything we ordered was amazing! From drinks and appetizers to our dinner. Our server let us know about the live entertainment and we can't wait to come back.
What an awesome place, it's an italian grill restaurant , but they feature some of the best steaks i've ever had, i had the rib eye, it was amazing. It had zippy sauce on it.It's a michigan thing. I had to try a bowl pasta on the side.Because it was an italian restaurant and let me say, it didn't disappoint, outstanding. I would definitely go back to this place and would highly recommend it. The Service was stellar, the atmosphere was amazing. We went there for a business dinner. But the gentleman we took with us said it was romantic , and he would take his wife there next time. I look forward to going back when I'm in the area.Thank you for an excellent time.
Attentive and friendly staff, upscale but unintimidating decor, and delicious food. The calamari was outstanding, veg was perfect, portions were large. If I had room I might have enjoyed the New York strip or ribeye more than the tenderloin; I wasn't asked about doneness and to my taste it came a touch on the medium side of medium-rare, but still delicious. Overall well worth the visit and a throwback to a time when the obvious care that every level of staff puts into this restaurant was not so hard to find.
La Bistecca Italian Grill – Absolutely Outstanding! La Bistecca deserves more than 5 stars! The food was incredible — every dish was full of flavor, fresh, and cooked to perfection. The service was just as impressive. The staff was attentive, professional, and made us feel truly welcomed from the moment we walked in. From start to finish, everything was amazing. Highly recommend this place if you want top-quality Italian food and exceptional service. I’ll definitely be coming back! Thank you Stacy
From the moment we arrived until we departed I was absolutely delighted by the entire experience. Chrissy made the night even more enchanting than the food and atmosphere. My husband and I will most definitely return
We went here for a date night and showed up a little early. The staff kindly offered us a spot at the bar while waiting for our table, but since there was a high table available in the bar area with live music, we decided to sit there — and we’re glad we did! The atmosphere was lovely and the music added a nice touch. We started with the Arancini alla Ermini and Lemon Gambas, both of which were absolutely delicious. For our main course, we shared the Vitello alla Marsala and a Parmesan Risotto. The veal was flavorful and well prepared, but the risotto was a bit of a letdown — it tasted very heavy on cream, more like mac and cheese than a traditional Italian risotto. Service was okay overall, but we noticed some small details that didn’t quite match the restaurant’s price point. For example, our server handed us the wine while holding dirty plates, which just didn’t feel right for the level they’re going for. All in all, it was a pleasant evening with good food and a nice ambiance, but the experience leaned more toward Americanized Italian than authentic Italian cuisine.
We visited La Bistecca Italian Grille on a weekday when our first-choice restaurant was fully booked. Found this spot on Yelp and got a reservation immediately. Despite being a busy night, the experience was smooth, and the service was top-notch. The restaurant has a dim and quiet ambiance, making it perfect for a relaxed dining experience. Service was very attentive, and from the moment we were seated, everything felt well taken care of. Starting with the warm, crusty bread served with roasted pepper dipping sauce and bean salad, we knew we were in for a treat. The drinks were strong and well-balanced. For the mains, I had the Chicken Parmesan—easily the best I’ve ever had! The chicken was flavorful and cooked to perfection. While the pasta could have been better, the overall dish was still a winner. We also ordered the Salmon Piccata, and it was equally impressive. The salmon was cooked to perfection, the roasted potatoes were crisp and delicious, and the asparagus was fresh. Each entrée came with a house salad, which was just okay. Though we had no room for dessert, the quality of the food here truly justifies the price point. I’ve also heard great things about their steaks, which I’d love to try next time. There’s ample parking available, making it easy to dine without hassle. If you’re looking for a great Italian fine-dining experience in Plymouth, La Bistecca is definitely worth a visit!
DATE TIME!! So we learned this is by far the place you go to; to wine and dine and NOT think about that dime! Service was spectacular and friendly! Atmosphere was spacious, clean but LOW light, dark. Food was fantastic, house salad we all agreed was DRY and the anti-pasta plate was disappointing, but! 3 apps, 6 entrees and 3 desserts; The most expensive piece of meat I ever ordered and DAMN was in worth every Penny! From the cocktails to the dessert, they DIDN’T MISS!
Many other reviewers have spoken of the tremendous hospitality and service at La Bistecca. We had a similar experience. Our waitperson, Jasmina (I hope I spelled that correctly) was attentive and the food arrived accurately and in a timely fashion. As for the food, I often find the appetizers the most interesting menu items. The special of the day was a tomato bisque that sounded too good to pass up. It had great flavor and texture, but it had too much salt for my preference. The flavor would have carried it with 1/2 the salt. One of our guests ordered the Brussels sprouts. They have a mustard in them, which I don't usually like, but it was a really good quality mustard and it didn't overpower the other flavors, so in spite of my dislike of that ingredient, I thought the sprouts were excellent and I'd highly recommend them as a starter (of course, bacon is almost cheating). Another guest likes to start with dessert, so she ordered the Tiramisu. This is another dish I don't usually order because I'm not fond of coffee. The coffee was very subtle and the whole thing was another hit! I particularly liked that it was very light and not overly sweet. The perfect balance! Two of us had the Frutti di Mare con Bucatini (I think this translates to fruit of the sea with Bucatini). I was baby scallops, shrimp, and bucatini pasta in a creamy pesto sauce. The seafood was cooked perfectly. It's easy to overcook shrimp, but these still had just the right amount of softness. The pasta was one of the best I've had -- not quite el dente, but it had a satisfying chew that you only get with freshly made pasta. The sauce had a complex flavor that would have stood on its own without so much cheese. To be fair, I didn't realize that there was cheese in it already, so when Jasmina offered me more, I took some before quickly realizing I didn't need it. Two other members of our party had veal and salmon. They both thoroughly enjoyed their dishes. The lemon butter sauce on the salmon was rich and tasty. We were celebrating my wife's birthday and when I called ahead, they offered us a complimentary dessert, which they brought out with a candle. It was creme brulee, and one of the best I've had. The brulee was crisp, but not too thick and the creme was smooth and creamy without being too sweet.
Nice restaurant. Ambiance was nice but nothing that screams “wow”. Our waitress was very nice, and I actually enjoyed our conversation. She gave us good tips on navigating the menu which panned out well. I tried the veal Marsala and it was amazing. We also got a 9 oz, which was amazing. I would return here, as their prices were good for quality of food. The one thing I would change is the time, as it took over an hour to get our main entrees. Loved it and will return!
We used to go here regularly but stopped after they increased prices and reduced hours. Now we go only on special occasions but after our last experience I'm not sure will we even do that anymore. The appetizers are still exceptional. The cacciatore and calamari were delicious. The service is outstanding and the non-reserve wine list offered typical prices. The place itself has kind of a Sinatra and doesn't seem dated. The issue was the entree. We always get the filet with potatoes, a salad and green beans, it was our favorite and the reason for going. Last time, the meals totaled $150 for 2 - 6oz and 1 - 9 oz. I think the price is high but not out of scope and with that price expectations are high too. Our meals were all delivered floating in butter and oil. The potatoes were saturated and the steaks dripping. So much so, I put a piece of bread under one side of the plate so all the oil ran down to one side and away from my food. Just awful. From here on out, it's appetizers - to go. I'll miss it.
After years of driving by, we stopped in. It was 9pm, and were told the kitchen was closed, even though the hours say 10. Days prior to us stopping in, I called MULTIPLE times on MULTIPLE days to ask if their posted hours are accurate, and if we need a reservation. No one ever answered, not once. Misleading hours, and workers too lazy to pick up the phone just guaranteed I'll never walk in this place again. There are so many choices these days on where to eat, you would think owners would step up their game.
