Very good place, clean and it’s a miracle to find it empty any day! The attention was the best and the atmosphere was bomb! The staff friendly (day time) Abigail the manager is 🔥 the crew is 🔥 this place is just so much better than any fast food restaurant and it HAS A DEIVE THRU IF IN A RUSH! Now they have churros and it’s bomb 💣
Founded in Guatemala, Pollo Campero is known for its hand-breaded fried chicken and slow-roasted grilled chicken meals, signature drinks, and a variety of sides. I decided to check out this casual restaurant which has a clean and inviting atmosphere. I placed a dine-in order for a 2-pc fried chicken meal with a drink, dinner roll, and a side of Campero rice. I also ordered another side of sweet plantains. After paying, I received a table number marker so the food could be delivered to my table. Within minutes the food arrived and appeared appetizing. I started with the chicken leg, which was lightly breaded, crispy on the outside, and both tender and flavorful on the inside; it was accompanied by a soft dinner roll. The plantains, fried to a golden brown, were deliciously sweet. The seasoned rice was tasty and cooked to a soft consistency. The meal was satisfactory and filling, along with the cold, refreshing beverage. I felt a bit bad about leaving the plate on the table, but I didn't see any trash bins anywhere. I asked an employee what to do with the plate, and she replied that she would take care of it. I truly look forward to returning to try the grilled chicken and the other sides next.
If you haven’t been you must go … best chicken east of the Mississippi ❤️❤️❤️ highly recommend

Love this Pollo Campero, juicy and crispy delicious chicken, I do like both, fried and grilled with the grilled being a healthy option, the service is remarkable and fast. Love the campero sauce, get a lot it.
Kind and courteous at every visit. Really beautifully seasoned grilled chicken. My only complaint is sometimes when I arrive I’m told that they don’t have any grilled chicken ready and so I have to come back later.
This chicken is so tasty! Get the fried chicken, their seasoning is flavourful and the skin is so crisp, I love that it's not over breaded it's just right on point! The french fries could be improved, so get the yuca fries instead. Will definitely come back ❤️
had an excellent experience at Pollo Campero! The food was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. The entire place was spotless, which made the visit even more enjoyable. The staff was friendly, attentive, and provided great service from start to finish. Definitely one of the best dining experiences—highly recommend!
Surprisingly good food. Staff was very friendly. Roasted chicken was excellent, as so were the sides - rice and beans. Food was very hot and tasted like it had just been made. The restaurant was spotless. This was far superior experience than the other pollo place near by.

I recently visited the Pollo Campero location in Pompano Beach, and overall, it was a satisfying experience. Here's my take on the taste and service: The fried chicken here is consistently crispy on the outside, with tender, juicy meat on the inside. I tried their classic fried chicken, and the seasoning is spot-on—it's flavorful without being overwhelming. The spices are a perfect balance, offering a subtle kick that pairs nicely with their dipping sauces. I also sampled their grilled chicken, which was smoky and delicious, with a nice char and a little zest from the marinade. Definitely a winner if you’re not in the mood for fried. Their sides were also tasty, with the rice and beans being my favorite. It has a nice, hearty flavor that complements the chicken well, and the mashed potatoes were smooth and creamy. The fried yucca is a must-try as well—crispy and golden, a perfect side dish to add to the mix. The service at the Pompano location was friendly and efficient. The staff seemed genuinely welcoming and took care to ensure my order was correct. The line moved quickly, even during peak hours, which is always a plus. My food came out hot and fresh. If you're in the area and craving flavorful chicken with a Latin twist, Pollo Campero in Pompano Beach is a solid choice. The taste is on point, and the service is quick and friendly. Definitely recommend trying it if you haven't already, especially for their fried chicken and yucca!
First time visiting this newly open location. Gerardo took our order and he was extremely kind and friendly. He has great customer Service. Patricia was very kind during our stay. She made sure we were taken care of. Katherine, the manager was also extremely kind. This place exceeded our expectations
Honestly, I love this place. The people are SO sweet and very attentive. I dealt with three different people and they were all had positive attitudes and went above and beyond. You usually don’t get that treatment at a fast food chain. The food was very fresh and I can tell they pay attention to detail (seasonings were BOMBB on the grilled chicken & the fried chicken was super crispy but not greasy). The seating area is also very clean! A++ all around :)
This was my first time at Pollo Campero. I’ve heard nothing but good things about this place. Pollo Campero originated in Guatemala in 1971. This started out as a family run business. The staff here at Pollo Campero are very nice especially Marisela. She was so very friendly and when my food order was ready she walked it over to us. This restaurant was neat and clean and they have a good amount of tables if you want to eat in.I placed my order for takeout only. A customer who had eaten here 19 times told me to order their Fried Chicken.Everything is made fresh. Based on his recommendation I did. I placed my order for 3- 3 Piece Meals that consisted of a Breast, Thigh, and Wing. It came with a choice of a side. I chose 2 of their Campero Rice side, and 1 of their Baked Beans side. I also ordered an order of Chicken Nuggets, a side of Coleslaw, Yuca, and Sweet Plantains. I thought the sides could’ve been bigger, I’m used to bigger sides, and you definitely need to get multiple sauces for dipping the chicken, and Yuca. The Yuca was very a bit plain and needed a dipping sauce. I’m used to a garlic dipping sauce. They also sell Roasted Chicken, Chicken Nuggets, Chicken Sandwiches, Chicken Empanadas, and at some locations a Campero Bowl. If you order a 4 piece meal you can order 1/2 Fried Chicken, and 1/2 Roasted Chicken, or you can order just Fried or Roasted Chicken. The Fried Chicken was really good. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It had a crispy exterior, and the inside was very juicy and good. Even the Chicken Nuggets I tasted were delicious. They were all White Meat and some of the best i’ve tried. ( I highly recommend along with the Fried Chicken.) FYI make sure you ask for dipping sauces, It wasn’t offered and I didn’t know to ask. One isn’t enough. My bf got their Campero Sauce, and their Ranch Sauce, both were good. If you have kids order their Chicken Nuggets and Fries. For Drinks they sell Horchata, Mango, and Jamaican along with Soda and Bottled Water. Pollo Campero has plenty of free parking. There are a few Handicapped Parking spaces and this place is wheelchair accessible. I want to try their Roasted Chicken and their Chicken Empanadas, and of course their Fried Chicken Sandwich. What I especially love is that they partner with Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital. They are very community oriented. Pollo Campero also does Catering. I will definitely be returning
Stopped in at Pollo Campero in Pompano Beach at Copans Road and Federal Highway for a quick meal with Latin flair, and it did not disappoint. The 3-piece fried chicken was delicious — crispy, lightly breaded, and full of flavor. The roll and fries were just okay, nothing memorable, but the chicken more than made up for it. Eat-in and ask for real silverware. We also tried the Campero Bowl, which was very tasty with a nice mix of textures and their signature rice — definitely something we’d order again. Meals don’t come with drinks, but the drink station was a pleasant surprise with four specialty beverages and free refills. The total came to $30 for two people, which felt like a good value considering the portion sizes — we had enough leftovers for another meal. The only downside was the 18-minute wait to get our food, which felt a little long for a fast-casual spot, but the quality made it worth it. We’ll be back!

Just tried this place for the first time. I dined in the restaurant and I got a 4 piece combo meal with the chicken half fried and half grilled because I wanted to try both. Grilled chicken was OK but it didn't stand out. Fried chicken had a thin and cripsy batter layer and the chicken inside was most and tender- the way it should be. I would get all fried next time. For my sides I got fries and coleslaw. Fries were cold. I went back to the manager and asked for hot fries. In a few minutes a nice lady brought me a plate of fresh, hot fries. They were good. The coleslaw was typical mayo based slaw but it tasted fresh and didn't have too much mayo. The restaurant was clean and modern. There are no trash cans and you eat on actual plates with silverware. When you're done, an employee comes to collect your plates and cleans the table. My advice to management is two things- (1) don't serve cold fries. (2) I didn't see an easy way to tip and I would have left a tip for the lady who brought my food, then brought my hot fries, then cleaned my table when I was done.

PRO: ordered the chicken nuggets and fell in love with how juicy and flavorful. Pretty good sized nuggets and seasoned perfectly. The chicken empanada was also quite tasty. Slaw was on point. My potato fries had a couple yucca fries hidden inside so it was nice to get a sample lol. Overall taste of meal was good! CON: the potato fries were weak… I blame the packaging for most of my disappointment. My main letdown was on accuracy of the order. I ordered pick up… went in, had no wait, grabbed my sealed bag and I was out the door. Upon double checking my order while sitting in my car, realized they forgot my family size slaw. Went back inside the store and saw it sitting on the counter waiting for me. Mistakes happen, I get it. But then when I got home to eat my meal, I realized the empanada didn’t come with the campero sauce like it advertised. Then I realized they didn’t include the campero sauce I ordered to go with my nuggets. I’m a huge condiment person so it was such a letdown not being able to try the signature sauce. That’s 3 total items that were initially missing, yet why was my order sealed up in the bag- I get that the restaurant is new, but still, always do a double check! Well all know this would never happen at chick-fil-a. Lol I was able to fill out a survey and earned 2 free pieces of chicken… guess I’ll give the service a second chance and hopefully have the opportunity to try the campero sauce! Ha

Food was great the first time I tried it but the second time the white meat was very dry. The white chicken was not fresh. I also got major stomach issues after eating. My stomach hurt an I was in the bathroom several times. I won’t be going back. It is a shame because they season their chicken well.
Well...I went there when it 1st opened & it wasn't all that good but they were super busy which was to be expected so I tried it again & won't be back. I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich. No idea what sauce was on it but I took one bite & tossed it. I ordered a family chicken meal with 4 roasted & 4 fried pieces which some of the roasted pieces were burnt & the fried is tasteless & dry imo. Sorry but Publix has tastier fried chicken & the fries were still as icky as they were the 1st time. I don't mind spending the money if the food is good but I spent close to $50 for inedible food that I had to trash. However...the staff was super friendly!!! I honestly don't expect for this place to be opened for more than 6 months & would be very surprised to see it still opened after a year. But who knows. I just don't think the prices are equal to the food quality.
Went to pollo campero for lunch. While i was eating i got a glimpse of the bottom of my bun just to find MOLD on it. Extremely disgusting!!!! loss of appetite came instantly. Serving customer's moldy food and not looking at what the expiration dates are is extremely dangerous
Beyond disappointed! Waited this long for my heart to be disappointed. Food was beyond salty. Some of the chicken felt too soggy. Tortilla was shattered all the way like come on ! Sauces were ok and coleslaw was awesome. Not to mention no drink included with my meal a total of $11 and some change with no drink!! Additional $3 if I wanted to add a drink 😤 Just completely beyond disappointing! Please check out my pictures.
We honestly were excited for the grand opening. We stopped by Whole Foods and as I was driving out we saw the Campero advertising truck in front of PDQ. As a business owner myself, I understand and appreciate strategy and advertisment but this is not appropriate and not a welcoming attitude to the community feels like putting down another establishment.

Upon entry they said 20 min wait for food unless we're getting nuggets she confirmed with back that nuggets are ready now. We ordered 2 nugget meals and waited 32 MINS for them. While waiting for our nugget meals between 15-20 customers entered, ordered, and received their food. It wasn't until I went to counter complaining that they delt with it and we still waited a few min after. And of course 1 sauce they give for 9 nuggets.
Drive thru experience, came ordered got to window and they said my chicken patty for the sandwich wasn’t available AFTER I had already paid. Ok no biggie I’m a guy as long as we eat we’re good. They sub my sandwich with 2 small pcs of fried chicken. That’s it right? NO. I try one and it’s the saltiest fried chicken I’ve ever had in my life, immediate stomach ache. I ask my wife for one of my yucca fries and she says it’s not there. I ask for coleslaw and she says it’s also not there. I thought you checked the bag, she said I did and I thought it was there but it wasn’t. We drive back since we are still close. I go to the window and let them know they didn’t put 2 items in my bag. 2 employees with faces of shock and the actual lady that gave my my food looked annoyed and went back to get my items. Not a single “ oh sorry for the mix up” or anything. Terrible food, and terrible service. Won’t last in the chicken corner in pompano beach. See ya!
