First time visiting the Golden Lion..it was on my radar and noticed on a sunny beach drive so we decided to stop. It did not disappoint. Great views, friendly staff and tasty food. We opted to share the coconut shrimp appetizer and the fish and chips entree. It was more than enough plus nice and crisp alo g with the fries. Saved some room for the key lime pie. Worth the drive to check them out and enjoy some nice views!

Went here to celebrate a birthday. This place has a wonderful view of the ocean. I recommend sitting on the roof. It's got decent drinks at decent prices. The food portions here are huge and the waitress that tended my table was very kind. She also got our birthday celebrant some delicious key lime pie. I can see myself returning here for more drinks and trying other items on the menu.

I can see why they've been around forever. Excellent food. The jerk chicken wings are what legends are made of. The marinade they use is the perfect blend of herbs and spices, giving heat, tang, and savory goodness. The fish tacos were no slouch either with slaw on top to die for. I had an Alcatraz DIPA to wash it back. Delish. And the ocean view can't be beat. Cheers!

A local recommended the restaurant. She told us the menu was great, service was wonderful, and the view from upstairs was to die for. She was right!. I ordered the shrimp tacos that had feta cheese and spinach , it came with fries sprinkled with cheese. It was delicious. My husband ordered the daily catch which was wahoo. It was prepared nice and nice presentation. My husband said it wasn't his favorite fish. No fault of the cook my husband said it was good, but next time he would order a different fish. The view was beautiful and they had umbrellas that provided shade and protection from the short rain we had while there. It was great and I look forward to visiting again.

The shrimp n chips was good but the service was especially good. Sitting at the rooftop you have a great view of the ocean. Live music just adds another level to it all.

Update: Decided to wait out Hurricane Erin here at Golden Lion. Our server today, ZACH, heard it was our anniversary and suprised us with dessert! We just love this place! Everything just perfect here. Our server , Andy, was helpful suggesting beers and menu items. The Fish and Chips portion definitely large enough to share. Loved the view and the food!

Best fish and chips in Flagler beach, their Key lime tartar sauce that comes with it is so good, we have bought some from them (& not a problem if you ask for extra) + my husband who never likes coleslaw salad, will only eat theirs, its that good. We always share the fish and chips, you get 3 pieces of fish.. We love to get takeaway and take it across the street with our dog at the beach but their atmosphere is wonderful when we dine there, friendly staff too.

It was a fun meal. My wife and I stopped here when driving down A1A on a beautiful day. Our server was a gentleman who was very friendly and attentive. My wife had a Margarita which she enjoyed and the food was tasty and served promptly. It was a lot of fun to sit on the upper deck and enjoy the ocean just feet away. Can't wait to stop in next time down A1A. UPDATE: I'm back and Andy is waiting on me again. Awesome fun!

This has been my family's favorite restaurant for years. The food is always amazing. My brother got married and had his reception here 11 years ago and we ALWAYS make sure to come by at least once every time we're back in the area. Highly recommend. You won't regret the choice.

Beautiful blue skies and a visit to Flagler meant it was time to dine at the Golden Lion. We love to go upstairs, so we had a bit of a wait since it was a Saturday. It was truly a bit too long since there were empty tables. I think they need to have more kitchen help or shrink their menu. Luckily, we had time to have a drink and wait. Views of the ocean, lively music, happy and friendly people everywhere, and delicious food. Parking during busy times is a bit difficult, especially for wheelchairs. However, the restaurant itself can accommodate you, I did not use the restrooms, so I can not speak on that.

This is my FAVORITE beach bar and grill. Food is amazing, drinks are yummy, music is great, and the atmosphere is the best!! Everytime I visit Palm Coast, I have to come to the Golden Lion no matter what. They seem to always have live music and I love how my daughter can dance and play in the sand while I relax and enjoy a yummy drink in the sun with an ocean view. Yes please.

Haven't been here for awhile. So I decided to check.it out . Got a seat at the tiki bar. Had a soda and ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with a side of slaw topped with provolone . it was really.GOOD. I devoured that and then ordered a cheese burger with fries . That was delicious also. The bar tenders both of the ladies very nice . Nice place to kick back anytime of the day . Love the location the food and the atmosphere. Been back a few more times had a salad and a grilled sandwich with a extra piece of grilled chicken and slaw. It was delicious. Ate at the tiki bar and Donna was terrific.

We had a group of six and it was no problem. A little chilly outside? They closed sliding curtains, started up outdoor heaters and we were all comfortable. Food was great, as was service. It is a little pricey but so is every place beachside.

The environment at The Golden Lion is always fun and upbeat. We enjoy grabbing dinner here when we are in town. The Fresh Catch and Coconut Shrimp tacos are always a great choice.

Very casual, live music 🎶 and happy hour, still kid friendly with booster seats, high chairs and kids menu. All seating is outdoors, and when raining you may get a little wet. Nachos appetizer was good. Fish & chips very good, big portions, good fries. No baked potato option. Clams were decent, shrimp dinners a bit small. Had 2 pitchers of beer, Bud Lite and Blue Moon, both were warm - should be at least 10-15° colder. 👎 Still enjoyed our meal. Your best bet here are fish and chips.

Nice beachy vibe in Flagler. We went here during the 7 o'clock hour on a Saturday night, so the wait was about 30 minutes. The service was a bit slow.My lovely fiancee ordered the clam chowder, which she described as good. I ordered the fish tacos, which were delivered in error for I requested no tartar sauce. Once the tartar sauce was deleted, the tacos were actually tasty. The restaurant has a live band on the weekend, which made for a festive atmosphere. Great location across from Flagler Beach!

So calamari was fantastic as well the homemade sauce they use. The combo was good except the actual Alaskan pollock. It had little to no flavor and a whole lot of beer batter on it. Everything else was good. Live bar was nice!

Stopped by for lunch seated upstairs Nice ocean view! Downstairs had live band playing Ordered Golden fish fingers for appetizers. Not too heavy not too light butter coming out very hot. Service was good. Atmosphere is great. Main food did not meet expectations at all. Raw oysters were good, french fries were good and the chocolate cake was the best thing of the night. I love the addition of the strawberry on the cake. We had fish tacos with mahi mahi which is an upcharge and the mahi mahi BLT. Both things were so bland, no flavor. The tacos needed some flavor. The bacon was best thing on the BLT. I also subbed my fries for the "jumbo" asparagus which is an upcharge and I was given 3 pieces of asparagus not "jumbo" and it was so overcooked it was mush. It was seasoned well but overcooked. I think if I come back it might just be for maybe an appetizer a drink and the chocolate cake.

My recent visit to this restaurant had its ups and downs. The service was disappointingly slow and inattentive, while the raw oysters were dirty and unsatisfactory. On the bright side, the main course and dessert were decent. The beautiful beach location added some charm, but overall, the experience fell short. With improvements in service and dish quality, this restaurant could offer a more enjoyable dining experience.

Definitely not a place to go on a busy weekend. Food was subpar, fish tacos was all lettuce and cheese with the thinnest piece of fish that you actually had to go fishing around for it (pun intended). service was okay - the young lady tried but not only did she get our order wrong but then she didn't split the check properly and the price charged for the tacos was not what was listed on the menu. Don't think we'll visit again.

We really enjoy coming to this restaurant for the vibe—oceanside outdoor seating with live music creates such a great atmosphere. We typically sit at the smaller tiki bar, which has a fun setup, but the service there has been consistently lacking. The bartenders often seem more focused on chatting with locals or friends than on taking care of other guests, which makes it frustrating when you have to flag someone down for your next drink. On the bright side, happy hour is fantastic! We love indulging in all the oysters we can eat, and the sliders are very good too. The beer could be a little colder at times, but that’s a minor issue compared to the overall experience. As a local, I’d love to frequent this spot more often, but when attentive service is hit-or-miss, it takes away from the otherwise great vibe.

Service and atmosphere was good. The appetizers and kids food were good. Ordered the most expensive meal on the menu (1 1/2 lb main lobster) was the worst for the cost. Meal is served with asparagus and potatoes. Lobster was no were near the size it should have been was over cooked and the potatoes were horrible. A $200+ bill definitely will not take a chance on this again....will stick with appetizers and simple meal from here.

I recently dined at the Seafood Restaurant and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing overall. While there were a few positives, there were several aspects that fell short of expectations. Let's start with the negatives. The oysters I ordered were visibly dirty, which was a major turnoff. It's crucial for seafood to be clean and fresh, especially oysters. This lack of attention to detail in the food preparation was disappointing. Furthermore, the service was subpar. After being seated, I had to wait an unreasonably long time before a server came to take my order. It felt as though I was being neglected, and this significantly impacted my overall experience. Prompt and attentive service is a crucial aspect of any dining establishment, and unfortunately, it was lacking here. Moving on to the appetizers, they were not up to par. The flavors were underwhelming, and the presentation lacked creativity. It seemed as though they were hastily put together without much thought or care. Considering the importance of a strong start to a meal, this was quite disappointing. On a more positive note, the ocean view was indeed pleasant. The ambiance of the restaurant with the view of the ocean created a serene and relaxing atmosphere. It was a redeeming factor that added some charm to the dining experience. As for the main dish, it was acceptable. While it didn't impress me, it didn't disappoint either. The flavors were average, and it lacked that wow factor that would make me want to return for another visit. In conclusion, my experience at Sefool Restaurant was a mixed bag. The dirty oysters, poor service, and lackluster appetizers were major drawbacks. However, the pleasant ocean view and an okay main dish were the few saving graces. I order the fish and shrimp combo and when it came it was shrimp only. I told the staff and he said give me your plate and I will give you a new one. I said I only need the fish I can eat the shrimp and fries while waiting and he said no. I said don’t try to refry my shrimp to warm it up. Yes when I got the plate the shrimp was hard as as a rock over cooked. He ten took it back again. In the mean time I’m hungry so I share everyone’s food . The fish taco was more than a veggie taco. We had trouble finding the fish. It wasn’t just me every one agree at the table. Finally I got my dinner when everyone was done eating. If he left the first plate either the shrimp only then brought out the one pc of fish it would had been nice. No instead they took it and refried it and then added the fish . I sent a msg to the manager later and he said you should had told the manager then not now. He said oh well. I have recommended golden lion to all the new people in area but never again. The staff at the bar are great and yes the oysters are good. But the fried food has gone down hill. Yes mistakes happens but to be so cheap to take my plate away and refry the shrimp is bad. Next time if the customer wants to eat the fries while waiting let them and put fish on the tacos
