I had whole BBQ chicken. I had it delivered. It was still very hot when I got it. It was the best BBQ chicken I have ever tasted. I can't wait to eat there.

Went for lunch. Sampled the hot wings, very good. Enjoyed brisket sandwich and fried chicken sandwich. Tasty, fresh and not greasy. Fries were crispy and fresh.

This place has recently come under new management. Staff is very attentive. The deals on the specials are so good and the food is great. Lots of TV's and the dart set up is incredible.

The service was great and the regular Mac and cheese was very tasty, however the ríbs needed to be slathered with barbeque sauce and they were not. As a result, I could not give a 5 star rating because without the sauce ribs were a little dry.

It was great!! My family and I had came here and the food was spectacular. It was our first time, so we didn't finish everything and brought it home to eat, but the portions are pretty big for the low costly price!! Amazing service and amazing food. This is the place to go for some great food in Dutchess County New York! They offer more than just BBQ. Their Texas Chilli is really good over yellow rice. I am a foodie so I like the sampler also so I get ribs, shrimp grilled or fried, and don't forget the sampler comes with wings too with various flavors. If you let them know at least a week in advance they will fry whole turkeys for the holidays this Thanksgiving. Had a hankering for some smoked ribs. Wasn't sure where to get them so I asked my son. He recommended Dutchess BBQ. I ordered a full rack of ribs to go! They were great! Fall off the bone and the sauce was savory and just a little bit sweet. I will be back for more!

Wife ordered the Philly cheesesteak and I had the brisket dinner with cornbread and fried pickles. It was excellent. Their house bbq sauce is spot on and the brisket so tender you don’t even need a knife. Friendly and attentive wait staff too. We’re coming back!

Dutchess BBQ has become my favorite restaurant with the largest amount and variety of truly great dishes on their menu. My favorites include the brisket dinner, garlic salmon, fried smothered pork chops, and meatloaf. Their brown gravy is the best. I could eat there every day and find a different great meal.

Great BBQ and prices, Iarge portions. My girlfriend and I had their pulled pork sandwiches that almost cover your plate! Was so impressed we returned the next day to introduce another girlfriend to the restaurant, who was just as impressed! The best BBQ outside the South!

A couple months ago I ordered the brisket, coleslaw and cornbread through uber eats. The brisket and coleslaw were very tasty! Unfortunately, the uber eats driver forgot the cornbread. I called and the manager told me when I order again leave them off and call the restaurant and he would add them on. I was worried when I called because two months had passed. A different lady answered the phone and she immediately knew of the comp and had the note in front of her. They were more then generous throwing in an extra side free along with the cornbread. Very impressed with their customer service and organization. I highly recommended this restaurant not only for yummy bbq but also for great customer service. Thank you!

I stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and was so happy to listen to live music by Mike Hite! The place was warm, friendly and clean and the food was delicious! I will go again, and I encourage everyone to check this place out. 🤗🎶🍗🍤

stopped in here with my wife other evening...... food was great.... loved Fish and Chips....with fries.... and fried pickles were yummy... even though didn't need it... I wish fried pickles had a dipping sauce... and tartar sauce for Fish and Chips... my wife had half bbq chicken... she loved it....

Great spot for Bike nights with Brothers In Turmoil! Good music and atmosphere. They only had one chef so the food took a little longer but other than that great spot!

Highly recommend! We had an awesome experience and a delicious dinner with plenty of leftovers to take home. The owner was working alone as the chef, server, bartender and everything in between…and he was the actual highlight— what a nice guy! And it still felt like there was a full staff. I can only imagine it’s even better when he has some help. Don’t let the unassuming location fool you— this place has some real deal bbq, amazing cornbread and a wildly delicious loaded Mac n cheese. We loved it!

We have ordered from here a few times and have always had a good experience. This time we ordered 8 meals to go and everything was ready as promised. The order was correct and everything tasted great! They have a great brisket and ribs, their BBQ sauce is terrific and the selection of sides is wonderful!

August 6, 2022 I ordered several 1/2 trays for a surprise Birthday gathering. I needed to make special arrangements and they were more than accommodating and friendly. Guests raved about the food quality and flavor. They said everything was delicious. They asked if there was a Duchess BBQ in the Capital region where they reside. I had the fried chicken and my husband had the beef brisket. I totally enjoyed the chicken. My husband had never seen brisket served in slices. He liked it but some pieces were fatty. We asked the server if the green beans were fresh and he said yes.....well they are not fresh, so we will not be getting them again. The mac and cheese and mashed potatoes were delicious. Definitely going back!

We spent New Year's Eve here and had a good time. We had to come back for the regular menu. We did that tonight. The ribs, brisket and Mac n Cheese were great. Meat was tender, flavorful and very plentiful. The ribs came off the rack and were great. The cole slaw was also delicious. Our waitress was great. We cannot wait to go back, but we will wait until we finish our leftovers. Thanks for the great experience.

I have been a couple of times for lunch. The ribs are very tasty. Then one day I had the brisket sandwich with fries. It's great. I have had it 3 times since and really enjoy the sandwich. The staff is courteous and friendly. My review is more for this great sandwich, but, I'm thinking the rest of the food must be good too. Try it out.

Our first time, and certainly won't be our last. We were a family of five, and in addition to a few cocktails, for dinner we enjoyed everything from the cornbread, to BBQ chicken, Brisket, Pulled Pork, Baked Beans, Cajun Fries, Green Beans, etc. EVERYTHING was simply amazing! Our server was very friendly and polite. The best part... affordable prices! For FIVE complete dinners, a few beers, and a few mixed drinks.. Our bill was only $146! That's incredible! Many thanks to the owner and his staff!

I have been there twice and had a delicious meal each time. I had the Oxtails for dinner. I had the Shrimp and Grits for lunch the next day. Both were delicious. Staff was attentive and courteous. My only complaint would be staff inability to work the QuickDraw machine because the manager/owner won't let them. Take the QuickDraw sign down if it is not readily available.

Dutchess BBQ have amazing food. Period. The service is awesome. Go get some. It's really good. The environment is Comfortable friendly good. As you step through the door you enter the dining room which is separated, one side have tables on both sides of the aisle, The other side have tables on one side and a bar on the other. 5 stars for Dutchess BBQ.

Excellent Fried Chicken! Large portion (1/2 chicken) Perfectly crispy battered skin. The sides were great also, collard greens and sumptuous mac & cheese.

Went there for lunch. First ones in that day. Place is clean and lots of light coming in from the windows. Food is super tasty and the brisket is super tender !!! Looking forward to having more of their food in the future

we were pleasantly surprised! - we had bbq wings house salad and fried chicken - fried chicken was rather delicious. it’s one of my favorite dining out foods and rare to find very good. it wasn’t quite Willie Mae’s in new orleans yet i would most definitely order again. the corn bread was good and the portions of all food was substantial. the salad was a huge portion and had a good mix of greens and veggies - the place was empty when we walked in and had us second guessing our choice. we were glad we stayed - the sole waitress was very attentive and not just cause we were only ones. she actually was doing quite a bit w take out and kept herself busy cleaning menus and other tasks. she never once forgot we were there - my only criticism is that the chicken was a bit salty ( and i eat and like salt) and could have had a little more spice

An unexpected carefree good old fashioned lunch. The brisket was in tridition of old Bronx Jewish deli’s. Packet high on nice big bun and not dry at all. What looked like home made coleslaw, was indeed at the very least tasted homemade and good. The table top barbecue sauce on the table was also good to my taste buds. The Decore was cute and interesting with old world ceiling fans and a separation wall between the bar and tables that I though was creative, and slightly nautical. The server not only was handling our table and others , but was also bar tending. Very nice even though we had lots of questions. Rest rooms were clean and tidy which is an absolute must with me. A very cute window seat was available for bar patrons and a private dining area for a small group was also available. My wife and I truly liked the place and would and will return.

Everything was fresh! The ribs were cooked well but not dry. They had bbq sauce to add to your liking. The chicken wings were tender and crispy on the outside and served with both blue cheese and ranch sauces.

Food delish , waitress great ... the only negative was we went to dinner at 6:45 and a band started at 7:15 and we could no longer talk at our table it was to loud. Took our food to go. I felt the band started to early .... having a dinner crowd. Band was good but we were a party of four and want to be able to converse.

Came to see the band Lady Evil perform a great set. Excellent guitarist and the lead singer had some pipes! Great covers of Ozzy, Dio and Sabbath. A nice bonus was the food! Waiting for our order I saw their chicken wings looked large and well prepared. My ribs were okay, certainly tender and tasty but they seemed to be baked not smoked. I was more impressed by the sides; collard greens were well seasoned as were the string beans, but my wife and I both thought the baked beans were extra tasty. The real surprise was how incredibly good their fried shrimp were! Nice plump Jumbos lightly coated in a perfectly seasoned flour with an obviously House-made tartar sauce that was better than most! If I go back there I'm going just for the shrimp! If you love fried shrimp that's not completely masked in heavy breading then this place is for you!

Brisket was good service was great. The sides ( green beans and coleslaw) are really the only reason I'm not giving 4 stars. Justin bad. Soggy and bland.

The food was really good I had the ribs, half rack. The service was good, she didn't check on us for while and I needed a refill on my drink. The atmosphere, eh I wasn't impressed. They had some windows hanging with rope that looked kinda dangerous. The other thing that took a star away was that they only had one high chair, and another couple was using it. No baby changing station in the bathrooms. I hope they take care of the items. Soon

This was the first time we got food from Dutchess BBQ and we ordered take out. I got the pulled pork dinner with the mac and cheese and baked beans and my wife got the Carribean Jerk Chicken dinner with the mac and cheese and green beans. My pulled pork had a great smokey favor to it however it was extremely salty and I could not finish it. The mac and cheese was okay however it needed more flavor as it was to bland and the baked beans tasted canned. The Jerk chicken my wife had was very tastey as were the green beans. I was really looking forward to trying this new BBQ place but was left disappointed.

Was out of ribs , fried chicken , my wife had the pulled pork , decent but on the cool side I had the brisket ,was tuff ,fatty chunk of meat , beans tasted like Bush beans out of the can. Daughter had the loaded mac & cheese , had nice peices of shrimp in it ,she liked it , and for soda they have Pepsi products

First time there and we liked the decor. Was a quiet night as we were the only souls present for dinner. Our waitress was friendly, our service efficient, and our food was pretty good. The portions were large and the cheesesteak was voluptuous and tasty as was the burger. The mac and cheese was a bit lacking though.

So much potential at this place. Please please please!!!! fill the bar with barstools. I always sit at the bar and when my friends show there are empty spaces but no stools and the few tables are always reserved . So much business lost. The new bartender Chris is a welcome addition, super friendly and accommodating. Need more of him. I live 4 minutes away and can bring a lot of customers if there was seating.

Totally Overpriced.. the chicken wasn't tender at all, all the sides sucked and were bland, the brisket was half decent.. without the BBQ sauce it would have sucked as well.. ill cook next time I want BBQ food💯👎

I had it delivered which is why there may have been a problem I called the restaurant directly and asked If when you order through door dash do you receive french fries with certain items the previously nice woman became impatient and nasty she said yes then both items didn't come with them which I would have ordered separately had she just been truthful.. AND the reason for my post there was a missing item which the restaurant did not remove they alerted the driver but still charged the order they made no attempt to contact me which is ... Just not cool

I ordered a ribeye and asked if it was bone in. I was told yes. When I opened it, it was most definitely not bone in. It was ok didn't eat the whole thing because it was not what I was looking for.

Except for the wings the food was underwhelming. Ribs and brisket seemed old and reheated, sides were mediocre at best. Was hoping for good, got meh.

This place should not advertise as a BBQ joint; I could taste Sam's Club on everything I ate.

Service was good and the atmosphere was nice. However i had the pulled pork sliders and it was disappointing. Lacked flavor and the pork was dry. The so called Cole slaw was nothing more than plain cabbage and carrots. There was absolutely no seasoning and not even a drop of mayonnaise.

If you like fatty food and slow service, this is the place We asked the waitress about the brisket specifically if it was fatty or not, looking for a leaner cut . She said that it was not fatty, but it was incredibly fatty. Some like brisket this way, but it's not for me. The yellow rice has no flavor to it. Not for me.

I did not have a good experience here. My wife and I walked in and it was open mic night. That should have been my cue to turn around and walk back out. I understand that local musicians sometimes enjoy open mics, but I do not want to take part, and I certainly don't want to hear amateur hour while trying to enjoy dinner. We decided to give it a shot anyway and the night didn't get much better. Let's start with appetizers... well, I would have liked to start with them, but our server forgot to put in the order, and when our food came out and I asked, she lied and said they were still cooking. Let's move on to our entrées. My wife got the brisket sandwich with fries and she enjoyed her meal. I got the ribs with baked beans and onion rings. The menu did specify "rings" and I realize that 2 1/2 does qualify as plural, but not exactly what I was expecting. The baked beans were fine. The ribs were fairly dry and under sauced. I was given extra sauce, but there should have been a lot more cooked on to the ribs. If I wanted to dunk meat nuggets, I would have gone to McDonald's. After we finished our meal, our appetizer wings finally arrived. (Dessert wings???) They were again a little dry, but not too bad. At that point, the house drummer had beaten my head into an ache that wasn't going to go away so we left and went to Ready Coffee to wash the taste of bad BBQ out of our mouths.

Burger, fried chicken were good.. French fries were excellent. Baked beans and M&C were not bad. Brisket was terrible!! TERRIBLE!

I keep trying to give this place a chance, but I just can't get past the filth of this restaurant. Three visits, and I'm done. The women's restroom is dusty and the floors are dirty. Sitting at the bar , and the bar was not wiped down after the customers. The mirror behind the bar was filled with streaks and filmy. And only one server for the bar and the restaurant on a Friday evening. I wanted this place to work out, but until they clean the place up, I won't be going back.

So I wanted to try something new so I order their food through Uber eats ,the delivery was fast but by the time I got the food and opened it I very disappointed the the honey sauce was so hard that it was holding the wings.

Very slow was here almost 10 min before I was even acknowledged. I get its busy but at least say someone will be right with you. I was picking up an order I placed. I'm sure I wont be back

I ordered take out online when I arrived for my take out. I walked in and I receive nasty stare downs. I saw a waitress she looked right at me and then decided to walk the other way so that she did not have to deal with me. I walked up to her and advised I was there for my pickup order. She told me to wait while she takes care of a table. I saw other girls come from the kitchen area and proceeded to smirk and laugh at me for no reason. It was clear that I was not welcomed in the Dutchess BBQ, the girl who checked me out looked at another customer and they both were laughing and making faces at each other. I will never go back there, there was no reason whatsoever to be rude to me and yet obviously they made sure to let me know I was not welcomed there.

Half rack of ribs was terrible. Looked reheated. Not on rack but cut into individual ribs. Mac and cheese was dry - reheated? Colored greens did not taste good.

It is not really BBQ. The fried fish was not real fish fillets. It was a big think piece of ? Kind of fish. The ribs were tough. The real barq ribs the meat should fall off the bones. Overpriced and not very good. Never Again!

We went and there were 2 other people there, we waited 50 minutes for our food to come out...just pulled pork and a burger....50 minutes. The burger which was supposed to be medium, came out raw. Wait staff was friendly, but this was bad.

If you want to wait over a hour for your food at 20 - 30 minute intervals then this place is for you. We went with a party of 5 and the first person got his food after 30 minutes then the next 2 got theirs 20 minutes after his then the next came out 25 minutes after them and the last did not get theirs until 1 hour after which we then canceled. The service was horrible. Whoever took this place over recently should not be in the restaurant business. And most definitely don't go if a band is playing which took up half the restaurant.

Don’t bother ordering delivery from here. They will “forget” to include half your order and toppings you paid extra for, and when you call about it they’ll tell you to come pick up the missing items. Which defeats the purpose of ordering delivery and paying for that service and a tip for the delivery. As a small business myself I hate to leave a bad review, but the fact that they could care less about the meals we ordered for delivery because we are going to work a 12 hour overnight shift shortly- and only offered for US to come pick up the stuff THEY FORGOT, (which we don’t have time to do), - I will never order from them again. This is ridiculous. People should recieve what they pay for.

1st time customer: Ordered take out for Father’s Day. Ordered Mac and cheese as an entree and it was The worst Mac and cheese I ever had! No bread crumb topping as advertised, no flavor, and spiral pasta that I would use in a cold pasta salad! Very disappointed

I’d leave zero stars if possible. Customer service is gone. Paid for items such as jalapeños that were not in the order. Ordered two sandwiches that come with fries yet couldn’t bother to put fries in the order. How is that possible. French fries a staple with anything you order were left out.

We waited for food for over 45 min and when it finally came the food was cold. We got the entrees before we got the appetizers. Service sucks. There's only one server on a Friday night? How?

Not many places in the area serve fried chicken so my husband and I went here to try theirs. Not only did we wait an hour for our food, we were told we were getting 1/2 of a chicken which is normally a breast, wing, leg and thigh….we received 2 tiny thighs and 2 wings. Definitely not worth the $22… our search for a restaurant in our area that serves a “good” fried chicken meal continues…

If I could give this place negative stars I would. I’ve come here before, even ordered delivery, and never an issue. We come today for the Mother’s Day Drag Brunch and not only was the service horrible, the food was awful. If you’re going to have specials on the menu then make them special. Chicken and waffles was literally chicken fingers over Eggo waffles. Shrimp and grits was ok shrimp and undercooked grits. The beer was pouring out of the taps mostly foam. Was anyone running things today or was the manager rearranging deck chairs while the Titanic was sinking?

Absolutely the worse so called bbq I have ever had with velveeta cheese and mac and frozen fries.

I had a terribly burnt cheeseburger and fries and my wife had brisket that was good but way over sauced and macaroni and no cheese. Seriously I believe they forgot the cheese and she had green beans that I think they forgot to microwave because they were still frozen. Unfortunately the service was terrible too. The girl took our order and 30 or so minutes later brought our food and then never returned. We had to seek her out for our check. The band was fun but way to loud. Too bad we were looking for a place with good food and live entertainment. We are still looking.

A Very Disappointing Experience... I would like to share my honest review in hopes this will save a few people from feeling this disappointing anger that comes in waves. But more importantly, I hope Management and Owner sees this in a timely fashion and some much needed changes are made. Type of Order: Delivery Date: 12/20/2025 Item regrettably ordered: BBQ Beef Brisket Before I go ahead with my review. Im not holding anything back. Let me preface this by saying this is now the 2nd time I've ordered their brisket (First one was around June of 2025) The first time I ordered the brisket i figured I'd treat myself to a nice birthday dinner. I did the 1lb and spent around $35 and another 20-30 on sides. Even back in June the Brisket was absolutely horrible, rubbery,dry and was like a leathery hockey puck. Borderline unfit for human consumption. That was promptly thrown in the trash. Iet me stress that I don't do many negative complaints so im nowhere near the Karen threshold so instead of asking for a refund. I tried to come up with plausible scenarios. "It was a Friday? Fridays can be crazy ..maybe they were too busy, New inexperienced kitchen staff or maybe they just had a off night" But here we are in December... 6 months later and Dutchess BBQ is still serving this nasty-rubbery meat leather to their customers. Respectfully speaking.. I would really like to know who is making these executive decision to keep putting out this low quality and way below restaurant quality meat I apologize if this review is abrasive. But honestly I don't even care anymore. I highly recommend taking the brisket off your menu until you can make restaurant quality brisket. Please do better

I have made brisket for decades. Unfortunately, I needed some this week and my oven wasn’t working so I ordered from Dutchess barbecue. For $28 what I received was three slices of beef/ very fatty very tough. Needless to say, I am very disappointed. Perhaps other menu options are more tasty, but I would never order this again. This was a takeout order

We were not impressed with the food at all. When there is only one table and the food comes out luke warm, somethings wrong. The potatoes were not close to being hot. The meatloaf was not really good. Hubby enjoyed his meal of pulled pork but the side of mac and cheese was also not hot. I tasted it and it was good but it would have been better if hot. My fried chicken was really hot but it was a bit salty for my liking. The waitress was told and she removed one meal from the bill and offered us free desert but it really is not enough to say the least. I tipped her according to what the bill would have been because it was certainly not her fault, she didn't cook it, and I would not penalize her for that. It surprises me that when you are the only customers in the restaurant, the food was underwhelming. We do not plan on returning.

So on my adventure of trying new places I came across this place to share with all, so let's start off with we ordered the ultimate sampler that had some wings and shrimp as well as ribs it wasn't bad I asked for the wing flavor to be garlic parm but was more like a Italian dressing but wasn't to bad, then I ordered there brisket when I got the mashed potato they where piping hot like they came out the microwave but where not to bad as I went to try the brisket and it was terrible it was old so I asked the waitress how old it was and was told that they made it the night before but was frozen and as you can see in picture this was older then the night before I go to other places and when the brisket comes out it pink with a nice smoke ring, on the other plate we got there pulled pork and the same it did not taste good at all and seemed to be old as well, if you look at the pictures you can see how they looked, I probably will not come here agin.

We placed a to go order for our family of 4, and was not impressed. Prices were typical for a bbq place (roughly $90 with tip). I am particular about food and bbq in particular, and got nervous when the person we ordered from could not tell me if the sauce was tomato or vinegar based and the visit went downhill from there. The service was fine. The brisket (reminiscent of arbys roast beef in flavor) and pulled pork sandwiches both went unfinished, the rack of ribs as noted elsewhere are served cut apart and did not seem to be recently made. There is literally zero smoke to any of the food and the sauce noted earlier is sweet and unremarkable. The side dishes were fine, the baked beans were the highlight of the meal and were a solid 3 of 5 stars, but the only thing that was actually finished were the 2 small sides of coleslaw (I don’t eat mayo so cannot directly comment on it.) Overall we were very disappointed.
