Wow! Best pizza in Poughkeepsie! Cracker thin crust and it's SOURDOUGH! Delicious meatballs! Very friendly service...owners Chris and Eli are hardworking and friendly and accommodating. Great music and ambiance as well. Reasonable prices. Check out their build your own pie option.
Chill environment, chill staff, good food. Place is kept in pretty great condition and the wait wasn’t bad at all. Pizza is pretty solid, delicious crust, good sauce I feel like Dave Portnoy would be a fan. beer selection is good. Love this new spot pizzas better than most places around here. Meatballs are massive
The owner Chris is a great guy! Had a pizza for the table and his bolognese for my self. Both were amazing. It’s been a regular since! Easy walk from the train station.
A neat rustic pizzeria with a simple menu. I tried the G's pie and the lemon pepper wings. Both were really good. The people were really friendly too. It's great to see new places like this pop-up in Poughkeepsie.
Our son recommended we try out the Dutch Crown and we were happy we ventured to experience their sourdough pizza! We tried their Drunken Pepperoni Pizza and we customized the other with meatball, onion & peppers. Both were full of flavor. The thin crust is a favorite of mine. I highly recommend you check it out. #freakinyum
Stopped in tonight after work to try out the pizza. The staff is very personable and the pizza was pretty damn amazing. I had the house pie and it was cooked just right. The dough was amazing and the sauce was very tasty. I ordered the fried to and the special aioli that comes with them is one of a kind and downright delicious. They just opened and had a few choices of beers which I had the Grocery Getter from Millhouse. I will defi4be visiti again to try the wings and some more pizza. Eli really knows how to make a good pie. Yumm

This place deserves 10 stars and then some. Every time I walk in, Chris greets me like family, and it instantly puts me in the best mood. The food is absolutely incredible… the kind of Italian cooking that makes you close your eyes after the first bite. And the service? So personal and genuine that it honestly feels like home. Every visit is an amazing experience, every dish is perfect, and Chris is truly one of a kind. Couldn’t recommend this place more, it’s a gem! The amount of laughs I’ve had here are unforgettable! 🍕❤️✨
Beautifully rustic atmosphere with brick arched wall and fireplace. Amazing fries, cheeseburger and (inventive) meatball parm!!! Staff is delightful, and the music is great, too!
Pizza, wings are amazing and the drunken meatball is to die for . Staff is really fun. Highly recommend
The Dutch Crown is a must visit if you’re in the area. Delicious pizzas and even friendlier service!

Cold beer and better pizza. Love this place so much! Always amazing service, tonight our server Paul was playing the best jams! The chef/owner Chris is always welcoming kind and just makes me want to keep coming back!
Went in randomly, for a togo order expecting typical bar food. Delicious!! eggplant parm on pizza dough?!? Sooo good... After 6 months I got in every chance I get... UPDATE: I still go in after a year!
The Dutch Crown — Poughkeepsie, NY Rating: ★★★★☆ In a town filled with dependable comfort spots, The Dutch Crown stands out by delivering rustic charm and deeply satisfying food in a setting that feels both lived-in and welcoming. The warm wood tones, and a convivial bar scene give the space a Hudson Valley tavern feel, while the kitchen leans confidently into Italian-American favorites executed with care. The Food The wood-fired pizzas arrive medium-sized and cut into six slices — ideal for sharing, though the flavor may tempt you to claim more than your fair share. Built on a sourdough crust, each pie offers a subtle tang, airy chew, and beautifully blistered char. It’s a crust with character: structured yet light, adding depth that elevates even the simplest toppings. The classic pie balances bright tomato, restrained mozzarella, basil, and a dusting of parm, while the pepperoni version features curled, cup-and-char slices that release a smoky, spice-laced oil into every bite. The breakout hit of the table was the hot honey fried Brussels sprouts — crispy, caramelized, and glazed with sweet heat that keeps you reaching for more. The seasoned fries followed the same fate, disappearing within minutes thanks to their perfect crunch and craveable spice blend. Meanwhile, the carbonara delivers silky richness, coating al dente pasta in an egg-forward sauce with pancetta and a generous snowfall of cheese — indulgent without tipping into heaviness. Atmosphere & Service The dining room hums with neighborhood warmth: families, couples, and regulars at the bar create an easy rhythm that feels authentic rather than curated. Service on this visit was slow, due to only two staff members managing the floor. Even so, their kindness and attentiveness never wavered — gracious, friendly, and clearly working hard to keep up with demand. Verdict The Dutch Crown succeeds by focusing on what matters: exceptional sourdough pizza, standout share plates, and a cozy setting that invites you to linger. Come with a little patience, and you’ll be rewarded with flavors worth the wait. Don’t Miss: Sourdough crust pies, hot honey Brussels sprouts, seasoned fries Vibe: Hudson Valley tavern comfort with Italian soul Perfect For: Casual date nights, family dinners, and relaxed evenings with friends
The pizza was good and I enjoyed it. BUT...I would not sell it as "chopped cheese" it did not taste or remind me of a chopped cheese. Believe me, I was born and raised in the Bronx and know a thing or 2 about chopped cheese. Also, it was a tad shy on the meat(see pic) for the price I paid.
Wings are decent and so is pizza. My gf tried the margarita pie. I got the bang bang wings. Nothing super fancy but tasty food and decent prices. Also has a bar inside.

Some of the most unique pizza in the area. Definitely one of my favorites Good deals and prices and the wings are fantastic. The only downside is it travels very poorly so if you don't eat it in the restaurant you're going to need the air fryer to heat it up

Awesome pizza. Some of the best I have found up in this area. I moved here from the Bronx and so I'm a pizza snob, 100%. This is good pizza. The only problem I have is that I went to their website before I ordered to check the prices, and the cheese pizza was $12. I went to pick it up after ordering and suddenly it was $18. I mean, it was good, but that's kinda shady. Anyway, awesome food, but just know that the prices at the website have nothing to do with reality. No bueno.
I picked up a pie to go. Staff was friendly. Looks like a cool little spot to catch a Mets game. It's a block from the train, so a subway series would probably feel like you're in the city. Like most places, average pie and overpriced. Help me understand what it costs to make a pie... I'll will try again.

First time ordering here, i ordered a cheese pie for $18 and some change.. When the pie gets to me i couldn't believe they let this pie go out. I call and speak to manager, "Jack" gets on the phone and i stated how this pizza should have never left their establishment, Jack says well you can bring it back tomorrow for a new pizza or refund.. after i say tomorrow?! He says or tonight smh. I will never order from here again.. wish my kitchen light was on so you can see how burnt the crust was.. and $18 for a cheese pie this small?!
1 and done! Will not be purchasing here again

I have eaten the pizza here before and it was always good, every time! This time though after I ordered the grandma burrata. I didn’t take a picture because my phone wasn’t charged, I wish I would have because not only did it taste bad, it looked bad too. Now, I’ve worked in many Italian restaurants over the years. So I know what good pizza looks and tastes like... Really bad pizza. I ate 2 slices and was going to take the rest home. I left it there half-eaten. It was that bad! And I’m sure the cook saw the half eaten pie returned to the kitchen.
I had written this establishment with my review several days ago but having heard nothing back from them I am now posting on here. I have a serious issue with an order I just got there. I placed an online order shortly before 4:00 p.m. and I was told I could pick it up at 4:25. Upon arrival it was not clear where I was to park so I took my chance and parked in a parking lot that I believed was yours I will take ownership on that because maybe I didn't see a sign. I walked down the street into your restaurant/bar and I found out that it was a bar I was never told that I was told it was a restaurant. This gentleman offered to help me and I said I was there to pick up an order and he went to the back and I clearly saw him tell the younger man who was there with him that my order was still hanging on their wall. He tells me just to give him a few more minutes but then I clearly can see that they're making my pizza while I'm standing at the edge of the bar. When I get home, I notice that the ring on the edge of the pizza is black like burned black yet the bottom of the pizza is raw and ice cold tastes like it maybe came out of a freezer and it was absolutely horrible and the mozzarella sticks I ordered were equally as bad and whoever package them put a dusted cheese on them and then the small tub of marinara sauce had what appear to be melted mozzarella in it it was just very inedible. I also wanted to add that the gentleman who was in the kitchen area appear to be vaping and he was taking his spatula and rubbing it on his clothes which is so in unsanitary. Sorry but this was a one and done for us..
