I work across the street at Lunch Dance Institute and on a quick break this is a perfect place to come and get something warm to drink and take a moment for myself. It's quiet, cozy and the service is super great. The staff are friendly and helpful and make the experience very nice.

Thank you for having places to sit and study unlike Starbucks who have taken away most of their seating. Thank you for your community feel and true gathering space. Happy to spend my money at your place.

Just. Thank you. It was a rough day and I needed my coffee. It was the end of the shift. I order, pull up, and then realize I cannot pay—I had just come from Mexico so only had pesos on me. She gave me the coffee. I drove right to the bank (100 yards away), withdrew dollars, and went back (sipping my excellent cup of coffee). They tried to refuse payment! I insisted. Just a simple act of kindness. More than a big deal to me. I don’t usually pass that way but will always remember that act of kindness. Thank you so very much for making my day!

Haven't been disappointed yet! Nice cashiers, they were willing to make a fave drink with less sugar. Usually the line moves pretty quick. It's also quite spacious in here, very chill atmo.

I got the Manga cold brew, a very nice subtle mango taste, very refreshing. My friend got the strawberry matcha latte (or whatever it's called), it tasted like strawberry ice cream, no joke. Both were gorgeous and tasted as good as they looked! Only complaint is that they give a little more ice than I would like, they dont ask. Still, service was great!

The place smells really good (like a candle store/sugary syrups). The iced americano (half decaf) was fine/to be expected from a chain. This is located in a little plaza with things like a laundromat and planet fitness.

The mocha ice blended and the dark chocolate mocha are amazingly good especially with espresso shots! & super frozen 😋. Also the chicken cesar wrap is good as well. The over oats is really really good as well. During the holidays I recommend the seasonal drinks as well, won’t disappoint!

I’m in awe right now. The staff at this location always go above and beyond expectations to make their customers happy!! I moved to SD from Seattle about 2.5 years ago and needed to find a coffee place that served real coffee (sorry Starbucks). Began visiting this place religiously, about 6 days a week for all my coffee needs but ended up moving home about 2 months ago to help some family and just returned on Friday. Yesterday I visited the coffee bean in Carmel mountain and ordered my usual drink, only to get a watered down super heavily concentrated drink that I ended up tossing out and was super disappointed at. Today I visited my favorite coffee bean in poway and not only had my drink made to perfection, but the staff remembered me and my drink after so long and even wrote me a small note!!!! Seriously made my day. Could honestly go on for days about this location and the amazing services they provide. Thank you guys!!!! You rock.

Alan the manager is an outstanding individual, enforces the rules in a respectful manner and is quite friendly, iced vanilla latte is bomb too.

Super sweet crew working here! And, of course, the brew is way better than Starbucks. A couple of vegan options for the breakfast sandwiches would make it 5 stars for me, but overall great place!

Great place for a morning cappuccino, plus there are many other coffee and tea options. Staff is very friendly and attentive. WiFi available although a bit slow. Restrooms are clean and well stocked.

Great coffee! However don’t limit yourself to just coffee/ lattes. They offer cold brews, teas, breakfast sandwiches/ burritos and pastries. My favs are the cookie butter, vanilla, and seasonal sea salt toffee iced lattes. Delicious lattes. Great quality coffee beans. Their powders (cookie butter and vanilla, etc) are available to purchase along with their coffee and teas. Awesome customer service, the young lady in the drive thru was amazing. Very clean location

Chocolate chip cookie was reheated, so warm but not fresh tasting and it had a smudge of something fruity on it - don't think that was intentional. the chicken caesar wrap i had was very soggy 🥲 i couldn't eat it after one bite. the iced chai was decent, though a bit watery for my taste. drive-thru service was quick!

I like the drink and the service, but I don't like that when they say discount for your drink, they apply the discount before customizations, resulting in a smaller discount. They should apply the discount after all customizations. Starbucks handles discounts better.

They were out of all savory food items except bagels which is totally understandable because of the time I went, just disappointing. Also my bagel was cut weirdly which just added to my bad experience. Service was mid, not good, not bad, no hate from me. I really wish I could have the same quality that I had when I was younger. Rip.

Very bad service rude employees and managers at the Poway California location especially the manager she fought with us for no reason as my friend ordered a black coffee because he is diabetic and they gave un a French vanilla late when we asked is this a black coffee they insisted that it is so we needed them to change it to a regular black coffee the manager came and started screaming and told us to leave her store and then I guess her boyfriend came and wanted to fight us. I don't think any customer should get this treatment anywhere also I don't know these types of employees should not be working in customer service treating people with racism and aggressive attitudes

I ordered a latte and asked for a cup of water. I got charged 25 cents for the water. I've been here many times. Never coming back again. Unfortunately, your reply does not change my mind. I think cup usage is a poor excuse to nickel and dime your patrons. What should matter more is customer service and satisfaction.

STOP ADDING SUGAR TO EVERTHING!!! My first visit after 2 years. I loved their hibiscus ice tea. Not sweet little bit sour. Today i ordered hibiscus tea and they started to mix it with sweetner. Could not drink and threw it to garbage. Why u have to ruin everything with adding sweetner? U like to be surrounded by obese people in this country???

The place has decent coffee but the staff here is Horrible. I never just sit at coffee place use the FREE WiFi without buying something. I got a large coffee and after some time I asked for glass of water, freaking tap water with ice and I was charged for $0.25. Money is not the issue here but charging for glass of water is insane !!! Never ever I am coming back here and I am walking out this place right this instance.

I got food poisoning from their drink. First time I’ve thrown up in years. I had a really rude interaction with one of the workers (the one with facial piercings). I strongly believe she put something in my drink.

I have only been to this place two times. Both times the same girl made mybwife and I drink. They messed it up both times. I tried to tell them while I saw her but she refused to listen. Once I had my drink I again tried to say something but she got angry and I didn't want to waist anymore time or energy on her so I just left. Maybe there are other workers who do a good job but unfortunately I have had the same experience with the same girl two times.

1:50pm 11/29/23 Terrible service. Waited 20minutes for a muffin and a drink, other customers were served before us that ordered after us. Not sure what the problem is or why the staff can't just say sorry and work on the order immediately.

The girl who was working on Sunday morning (12/10) short black hair was so incredibly rude. My boyfriend ordered a latte and she cut him off and said “HOT OR ICED?” He was like “iced” and she’s like “uhhhh you want a latte iced? We don’t do that.” And he said “sorry, just one second, I’m ordering what I’m told” and she cut him off and said “WELL then I can’t make your order if you don’t tell me if it’s hot or iced.” This was all in a 20 second interaction, and there was no line. We pull up to the window and she said “hi” and nothing else to us. She didn’t say the price, the drink order, nothing. My bf had to speak first and be like “it’s Apple Pay” to which she just held the reader out with no response. So rude. Drinks tasted terrible, I’m sure on purpose. We literally threw the drinks out and got Starbucks.

Went through drive thru for pick-up order for 3rd party delivery Aug 27 at 7:40pm. Driving up, employee threw her head back clearly irritated that we were driving up. Was extremely short and rude at the speaker. Even if you’re tired/ready to go home why act that way? Genuinely no excuse to be so rude💀Strange.

The staff especially the women are very unfriendly & dressed very inappropriate...crop top showing their belly button & breasts & tattoo all over. Messed up my drink several times...very simple drink that I've been drinking forever there. Very unapologetic & argues back. Very very poor customer service I will never come back!
