Fantastic food. This place is a neighborhood staple.
I love it
Great pizza it was my first time trying this pizzaria
Nice until the school let's out then it's time to bail
Amazing pizza 🍕 crust was so good 😍
The meatballs and spaghetti was delicious, mmm the sauce
Amazing NY Pizza! Dosen't get much better than this!
Nice place to grab a quick slice or have it delivered
Great pizza, chicken parm hero is a must try
Excellent pizza in a classic Brooklyn atmosphere.
The kids know where the pizza tastes the best and that's at Joe's pizza.
Best pizza I've ever had!
They makes the best pizza. in Park slope.
One of my favorite places for lunch. Great portions for the price. Pizza is always on point.
Quick service, delicious pizza. The sauce tastes as if its straight from Italy. Workers were very friendly.
Pizza is good, and plain wings are even better (because they are made fresh, it'll take a while).
Absolutely fabulous food and large portions pleased my husband. We had several dishes and everything was really wonderful.
Best pizza in the united states. Must try the spinach tomato and ricotta pizza!! Been going there since 1976
Pizza spot on... Couldn't get an Italian ice because they didn't have someone to serve it. (Only two people on the line.).
Good neighborhood pizza place. Nice pizza, friendly service. The place also serve ice cream
I love this place! Best Sicilian slice, great service, authentic NY pizza.
Pizza was tasty and perfect crust. Great service.
Visited this joint from FL with my wife and a friend who lives around the corner. Damn good pizza. Hands down probably the best pepperoni slice I've ever had. I end up comparing all the pizza down here to that pizza now. Don't hesitate to check them out, just go.
In my opinion, this spot has THE BEST garlic knots, period. Mince garlic, olive oil, and what either tastes like parmesan cheese or lemon zest. I honestly can never tell. Ranch buffalo slice is top notch. Classic slice is super, can never go wrong with the classic NYC slice. Even got the classic retro arcade game. Definitely a great nostalgic 1970-1980s feel.
It's a neighborhood pizza joint. The dough (and I usually buy just dough and then cook the pizza at home) is the best within a 5 mile radius, as far as I can tell -- and I've tried most. When I've had a plain slice or two, it's been exactly what I wanted. Is it gourmet pizza? No! But it's not a gourmet pizza restaurant, and the prices match. It's a pizza by-the-slice place. If it gets priced out of this ridiculously gentrifying neighborhood, it will be a serious loss. So eat there.
Absolutely amazing service and wonderful staff. The food is on another level of great! Joe and Juan are great to talk to and fantastic people.
If I’m ever in a rush and need a quick bite, this is my place to go. The manager or owner is funny and pizza taste great. Classic, simple New York’s neighborhood pizza.
I'm from Las Vegas and visited this spot a couple months back when I was in New York. Definitely one of the best pizza spots I have been to. Pizza I get now I compare to Joe's. Will definitely be back to get more next visit.
Seriously good pizza. The garlic knots have a bit of a vinegar-y taste, which isn't for everybody, but I think they are A+
I lived in Park Slope / Windsor Terrace neighborhood for 10 years. I've always went to Joe's. 12 years later it still feels the same as it did then. The only thing that changed is no more slurpy machine and now they take cards! Woo Hoo!!!
My family has been ordering from here my whole life. I am never disappointed.
My childhood 🍕 shop. Every time I'm in the area I make sure to stop in at Joe's & grab a slice or 2. I loved the gaming machines as a kid. 🍕 is soo DELICIOUS!
Great staff! Always working hard and friendly. Best beef patty and love that there's no pork pepperoni
Margarita and regular slice were excellent! Family owned, clean and just a classic Brooklyn pizzeria.
My kids love this pizza!
Great pizza and great service. He helped us find a parking spot where we wouldn't get a ticket. We had the Sicilian and plain cheese, both delicious!
Joe's isn't a life-changing experience. It might not have the reputation of Lucali or the Joe's in Manhattan. But it's a solid slice that costs as much as a subway swipe. And for me, that's what I want. It's not the kind of place you sit down and have a long dinner. It's a slice joint, and it does what it's supposed to do well. It's the perfect slice to eat before heading out for a concert, or to satiate your hunger after a long day of errands. The crust has a nice, crisp bottom, there's enough cheese, and it's well sauced, but not so much that it's drowned in it. It's a little greasy, but hold it over the plate and you'll be fine. It's a great little pizza place, and it always hits the spot.
We stopped at Joe's after visiting the Dog Day's Afternoon filming site. It was a great surprise! The staff was fun and friendly, and the pizza was great (full of kids after school, it shows they have good prices!).
Pretty tasty slices and they were not too pricey from what I remember. Good location and good food. Glad to have dropped in on my way back from the Vet’s office.
Go there on a regular for a slice of pizza. I keep it simple with buying either a regular, white cheese, or vegetable slice, and I have no complaints. Pizza, price and service is good to me. I will continue to go there.
Awesome. The best pizza I've ever had. Everything about this pizza was perfect but this is a HUGE PIZZA so if youre like me you'll end up with leftovers. The good news is this pizza still tastes great even when reheated. Loved the fresh mozzarella on this pizza too. Their calzones are also amazing. Very nice atmosphere the employees were very friendly and welcoming.
Great pizza! This is the best pizza I've had since I moved to NY!!! It has sweet sauce and you can buy it by the slice or the whole pie. It's $2.50 a slice. Although it sucks you can't use your card unless you spend $10. That's my only complaint. The employees are always nice and happy to see you. And great overall deal and experience every time. And this coming from someone who is super picky about the taste of the food I eat. 💖💖💖💖
Simple pizza restaurant with decent prices. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The prices are reasonable and they offer generous portions for the pizza toppings and cheese. Not a gourmet pizza place (and it's not trying to be), but it offers a homey, charmingly-dated atmosphere (completed by a 1980s Ms. Pac-Man arcade game propped in the corner).
Pizza good, but the place needs to be updated
Pizza was good. Garlic knots were not flavorful.
Solid reasonably priced slice and kind service folks.
Excellent pizza. Terrible atmosphere Take out only.
Great service, large sum of Pies to choose from! overall nice experience.
The pizza is amazing I just love it And that's why I love it
Good pizza but is a spin-off of joe’s pizza
NICE STAFF. GOOD PRICES. HEALTHY OPTIONS. GREAT SALADS.
One of the other reviews mentioned a sweet sauce–it's definitely true! Great pizza and a nice local spot.
My kid's favorite pizza in South Slope/ Windsor Terrace. Sauce is a little sweet and the pepperoni is mild.
It had been sitting there while but it was still good I love the pinwheels they were delicious
I went into the pizzeria for a slice of pizza . The clerk was efficient and put the slice into the oven. I waited a very short time for the slice. It was very tasty. I have ordered whe pies on previous visits. I would return.
I bought 2 slices of 🐔 with 🥦. Dough was fluffy but a little bit sweet. And reheat was insufficient... 5 mins and cheese hardened.
Pizza is great a lil bit greasy but taste is yummy . Great amount of cheese, sauce.crust is perfect!! I Wish they had a student discount tho. $3.50 plain slicec +$250 Snapple can be costly for some parents especially single parents. Can be a bit crowded but workers were nice .
It is a good in terms of price but the pizza is far from good. Never order the garlic nots
Classic pizza okay, grab bag w/ three slices
I only it the pizza wen it's fresh an it's made the way I like it,
Pizza was way too greasy, but otherwise a good place.
This place looks and smells good but the pizza was undercooked with a soft bottom and crust.
Slightly below average slice for Brooklyn. Place looked pretty run down, but counter guy was nice.
Not a smiley bunch these folks. But that would be absolutely fine if the pizza was amazing. The sauce on Marguerita was way too sweet and the dough not chewy enough for this pizza lover - too doughy, almost sweet.
I really wanted to like the food here and the staff was friendly enough, but I was sadly disappointed by the Parm sandwiches. I tried the chicken and eggplant, and both were bland. Plus, there was a sorry amount of chicken and eggplant for the price. The chicken in particular was a regrettable decision. It was pounded so thin, and it seemed like it was either cooked while frozen or microwaved. It was dense, hard to chew, flavorless, and I ended up throwing half away. Sadly, the bread was the best part of the sandwich. Maybe this restaurant took some pride in their food at some point in the distant past, but that time is long gone.
Didn’t get why this is so hyped up. There’s nothing special about this pizza - it’s like all the others but with a crowd and a wait.
The pizza is a bit overpriced compared to normal pizza places around. When the cashier was giving me the change, he slammed it on the counter instead of handing it directly to me. Overall food wise, it’s like any other pizza.
Garlic knots were unacceptable and the slice was ok. Be cautious if going here.
I'd eaten here before and liked it. But today was a real disappointment. Maybe the items had been left out on display for too long.
Pizza was overpriced, not that great, and Fox news is on the TV. Sad!
Mediocre and extremely expensive, a classic New York Slice.
NO ONE WASHES THEIR HANDS NO ONE USES GLOVES NO ONE HAS FOOD HANDLING CERTIFICATES THE OWNER SMOKES 10X/day goes right back to handling food! Coughing all over the food! It’s absolutely disgusting!!! Chairs are greasy - kids chairs are definitely contaminated with bacteria. DO NOT EAT AT JOE’S AT PROSPECT AVE - PROSPECT PARK WEST! JOE ITS NOT EVEN THE OWNERS NAME. THERES NOTHING ITALIAN ABOUT THAT PLACE!
The pizza looks and tastes like Chuck E. Cheese pizza.
Joe's is not good - I usually say all pizza in Brooklyn is good but unfortunately I would not recommend this pizza shop due to the quality of the pizza and the atmosphere.
Pizza is very oily and not very crispy. Also, it has a bit too much cheese for my liking.
The world's "okay'est" pizza. Barely any pepperoni on the large pie ordered. The crust is very bland and "dough-ey". The garlic knots were very bland and boring. The pizza was cut very uneven. The saving grace was quick delivery time, kids don't mind this underwhelming pizza. Try any other pizzeria over this.
Terrible hygiene and food safety standards. They served me pizza with their bare hands immediately after picking up/cleaning up something off of the floor (also with their bare hands), without washing their hands first. I was very grossed out. This place needs a food safety health inspector to give them a C rating, at MOST. At least those C rating places that serve Chinese food will actually taste good... The actual regular pizza slice was very mediocre, too. The dough was too pillowy and it just tasted like bread with sauce and cheese, instead of tasting like a whole unit working together. For $3 it's very overpriced. You're paying for what is essentially a $1 slice and $1 service. Looking at the other reviews, it seems that I'm not the only one who had a bad experience with the food safety/hygiene. Avoid this place if you value your health, unless you want to get sick or get food poisoning. I will NOT be coming back here again. 👎
Really bad quality especially for the price
Forgot part of my order and was told i didnt order it! I called and he read another order and when i told him that it wasn’t my order, he just hung up. So rude. Not ordering here again.
6 dollars + for a very mediocre slice of pizza
Was charged 4.50 for one Grandma slice... That's is a rip off. Walk up to 7 to Ave, get better and cheaper!
Not open when their hours show they should be, we weren’t the only ones to show up to a closed store.
Ordered plate of sausage parmagiana for eat-in. Sauce watery. Sausage unlike any I've ever encountered-thin tasteless slivers. Even the bread was of poor quality. Told owner how I felt & was told I'm the only one who ever complained. Never asked why I was disappointed. Moreover, while we were there he counted cash, wiped his running nose with his hand and handled pizza slices barehanded!
Got 2 plain slices, finished only half of one. Honestly worst slice ive ever had, no salt in the doe, sweet sauce, and tasteless cheese. On top of that place is hot as balls
He uses the phone then puts his hand into the bucket full of sausages then back to the phone then into the spinach then back on the table to get some stuff. He didn’t wash his hands between or after all this touching.
This pizza and service was so bad. The only reason my friends and I took the pizza was because we had already paid for it for pickup. Seeing as the pizza wasn’t even started until we came in and waited for him to find our order we should’ve just asked for a refund. He was complaining the whole time about a miscommunication on the order even though we were willing to pay the extra cost and then the pizza looked crazy awful. Took the toppings out of boxes and the stuff that came out looked like it was so old. The spinach looked like kale. And as pieces dropped onto the counter he just put it back on the pizza. Had no gloves on. I tried to eat it but it was honestly so bad the way they put the toppings up there and the way they cooked it. And I’m not even picky. I’m down for a dollar slice or whatever. Never again.
Just read a review from someone saying he paid $2.5 for a plain slice. Very interesting, because they charged me $3. That was my first and last visit. I wanted to see if there is something special about their slice, but nope. It's same pizza you can get near penn station for $.99. I won't do any business with liars, especially if they overcharge you for no reason.
I had wanted to try a new pizza place but didn’t want to spend to much money in case I didn’t like it, so I had ordered from this pizzeria on Too Good To Go. I paid for 2 orders but only received one, at pick up the food was cold and I kindly asked them if they can heat it up. They proceeded to say that they will not heat it up since I only spent a certain amount of money. The staff was rude and thought that it was right to sell me cold food. Knowing that food can grow bacteria staying out at room temperature. Just gross and disgusting. I do not recommend this place at all, terrible customer service.
If you're looking to do a colon cleanse, don't waste your money on laxatives. Just go to Joe's and grab a slice, but try to eat it when you get home. If you decide to eat it at Joe's you'll run the risk of needing "to go" on the train or bus ride back home. Thought I learned my lesson the first time but decided to give Joe's another try, big mistake...word of advice, make sure you're stocked up on TP and you have some sort of lube or Vaseline for afterwards bc ur def gonna be a little raw. Thanks for the good times Joe!
Dude, first off, $7 for pizza dough is daylight robbery. I get it, I'm paying for the convenience. But when i got home, i see you charged me 15% on top of that for using my card? Maybe next time warn me, and ill pay cash. Not cool.
I dont have many options for eating when I get out of work around here. The pizza looked old but I wanted to give this place a chance. That was a mistake. Even after they heat it up the cheese looks old and congealed. Not even my own poverty could help me ignore the taste of spoiled cheese. Avoid this place. Hopefully someone else will replace them soon.
