Busy Thursday night, waitress was attentive, drinks were quick, food was phenomenal from appetizers to main course. Def hit the spot after a busy day at work. Def a must visit!

Came in with a group of 5 people. Service was very efficient and our waitress was very nice. The room was a bit small, but it wasn’t crowded because there wasn’t a lot of people there. Food is also really good. Got the smokehouse mac and cheese and could barely finish it!

Cally P served our table of 3 on Wednesday evening, January 7 2026. It was a great experience. I had the barbecue half chicken, which was a nice change from my usual pulled pork dinner. Love their french fries!

I cannot recommend this venue enough!! We had our daughter’s rehearsal dinner here and when I tell you, it was five star from start to finish that’s exactly what it is. We were over an hour late for our seating, and it didn’t matter the service was still exquisite. The food was still fresh and hot. The fireplace room was set up for us. It was quiet and perfect. We had buffet style brisket, baked, stuffed rod, and lemon glazed chicken. That was all absolutely delicious. They even brought out fries and rolls for the kids so they wouldn’t get impatient while we were waiting for the service to be set up. people had seconds and then they brought out containers and offered people to take home the leftovers! You cannot go wrong here. Thank you so much again black dog.

The fried green beans was delicious. Who would of thought. I was very impressed with them. The garlic dill that comes with them is a great dippping mix.Disappointed with the pretzel bites. They tasted great but the cost of what you get does not equate in my opinion. For my meal I just got the burnt end appetizer. The size was perfect for me. They were so tender and the outside of the brisket was flavorful. It needed a little more flavor on the inside. Others in my party got the special of the day which was the stew. They like it. Another ordered the 1/2 rack of ribs and was satisfied. Also the brisket was ordered, thay was a tad dry. Will I go back? Yes! The atmosphere is energetic, the menu is bountiful, the staff was fantastic. I am looking forward to bring other items on the menu.

This is a hidden gem right out in the middle. We stopped in on Valentines Day for a late lunch or early supper. The daily specials were amazing choices. I chose the Vhicken Cornan Blu. My Valentine had the Shipyard Chicken off the regular menu. She loved it. I liked mine as well. We finished it off with a dollhouse pie. Yes it's a fresh baked cookie with ice cream and whipped cream topping. The portions were plentiful and enough for a second meal. Nate took great care of us. The managers walk the carpet and will check on you to ensure everything is up to standards. Find it. Drive there. And enjoy a great meal or hang with friends.

I’m not a huge BBQ person but I did enjoy my meal from them! I got Brisket with some corn bread and a baked potato, the meat was pretty tender and flavorful. Me and my partner also got the Mac and cheese to share and that was pretty good as well. This place is pretty huge and has a variety of places to sit. Our waitress was super nice and attentive, I would definitely come back and try some new dishes.

Let's start with THE BAD: I ordered from the Sunday specials menu an entree called What the Cluck (which is actually what I thought to myself when I received it). It is a chicken "sandwich" that actually came on a half wood fired pizza crust that was over cooked and had a formed fried chicken patty on it and it was $17 or $18. Terrible sandwich that should not even be served on the menu. I told them it was terrible quality and they took half off the price. Couldn't even finish it. THE GOOD: Our waitress did a great job. I ordered a cheese pizza to share as well and the quality was great! It reminded me of a Papa Gino's style but better! If it had been cooked a bit longer it would have been fantastic. They have and extensive "pit master" BBQ and my wife ordered the burnt ends which were fall apart tender and absolutely delicious. My daughter didn't finish her chicken tendies so I had one and they were of a fantastic quality. Freshly breaded, tender and crispy. Fries were great as well. Everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed their meals, and the brisket Mac and cheese looks delicious. The food quality here is great and I really think it's a bad idea have a very subpar item on the menu because of that could really turn someone off from coming here. I plan to return, but don't make the same mistake as me and don't order a what the Cluck.

I just want to say I usually love coming to Black Dog. However, the last few times I have gone I have had horrible experiences with the hostesses. I was just there this past Friday around 5. The girls were huddled together looking at photos and videos on a cellphone instead of being attentive to guests. When we went up to the hostesses station to be seated next we were not greeted warmly. Instead, we were greeted with an attitude and looks of annoyance. The girls did not make us feel welcome. I have been debating for a little bit now whether or not to leave this review as I do love this restaurant, but I feel as though management really needs to look into this and the girls' unprofessionalism. I hope this is looked into because I'm sure other guests can attest to this. However, our waitress that we had that night, Jordan, was fantastic and the food was incredible.

Service was great. My friends loved the ribs and chicken but the brisket was not good. Very dry and bland. I make an imitation "brisket" in my crockpot with a cheap chuck roast and liquid smoke 10x better. Maybe it was just an off day. I'll definitely go back try something different but the brisket was just not good.
