10/10 spot hands down!
Great delicious Chinese food
food is good and clean!
Best in the area by far
Food are very goods.
the best
Hands-down, the best lunch special experience the food is fresh. It taste like actual food. The protein tastes feels like protein. The rice feels fresh. The chicken fried rice everywhere else feels stale and has a distinct smell to it. This was amazing. I love these people come here for all your food, especially Chinese because they rock.
The place is small quite food is delicious 🤤 customer servive is nice
So delicious! They were super nice when we walked in. Everything was very clean and had enough tables where you can eat inside. We really enjoyed their spicy sesame chicken, fried rice and lo mein. Great prices. Looking forward to trying the rest of their menu!
Our local favorite Cantonese foods for beef and broccoli, fried chicken wings, vegetable spring egg rolls, crispy salt & pepper chocken, roast pork lo mein, Singapore chow mai fun, and vegetarian Buddha delight. Always consistent and delicious!!! Very nice staff and clean restaurant.
Yum!! I had the baby shrimp with lobster sauce lunch special with pork fried rice and an egg drop soup, it was sooo good, I definitely will be back. The place was clean, the people working there were very friendly, I really enjoyed it!
Great food and portion size, customer service was kind and the interior was clean.
Excellent!! So excited as this is same owners but new location of the old wah hing which was great!! So glad they're back as the neighborhood needed a really good Chinese Restaurant and take-out!!!
To be upfront: the people who run Hi Hot Kitchen are the same people who ran Wah Hing Kitchen, which was a very good chinese restaurant that closed a couple of years ago, being a casualty of the COVID lockdown mandate. Now, they're back, and their food is as delicious as ever. I eageryl await my return.
So Happy they are back. I was missing my local Chinese spot. Tried others around here after wah hing closed but it wasn't the same. Food is so good just like I remember same food same owners different name.
Great and friendly customer service. Food was really good. Highly recommend the szechuan wontons, pork dumplings and Cantonese chicken
I've been looking for a good chenese restaurant, then I found this one, and I will NEVER go to another chenese place because their food are beyond compare. Love it❤️
They’re back!!! Glad to see good food is back in the area again (post covid). Anyone from the area know what I’m talking about, welcome back good Chinese food.
They are back. This place makes the best Chinese food in bayside queens. I missed them so much. She remembered me and my brother right away.
Friendly staff, best fried dumplings
Best Chinese food in the area. I’m never going back to any of the other mediocre spots around here
Food is always great and service is always wonderful. Our new fav spot for take out
Very nice staff and clean place! Recently opened and heard their fried chicken wings was crack !
best chinese i’ve ever had! place is clean and staff is very nice.
Solid Mom & Pop place when you are in the mood for Chinese-American take out. Clean & friendly.
The food here is fresh, and tasty!! I enjoyed the wonton soup too.
Love this place and love this food! The best chinese food in the neighborhood
Totally excellent. Great family operated take out restaurant.
Absolutely the best! I've never ordered anything that was other than exceptional.
Clean and very friendly! Food is legit!
The food is good and fresh here , communication is friendly and very clear with a strong command of the English language which is not often the case in other places. The chicken and broccoli and boneless spare ribs are among the best I have ever had.
Ordered take out from here last week because of the good ratings, I got the fried vegetable dumplings and fried chicken wings which came to $16 and change. Great customer service and food quality 💚.
Food is super fresh and taste good. It’s not like you’re traditional NYC corner Chinese food. Their fried rice is not the same and the fried chicken winds are not the same. However it does taste good. If you’re looking for the signature NYC Chinese food fried rice and chicken wings this isn’t the spot. Everything else looks to be the same.
Favorite Chinese place in the area. Ordering is very efficient. Service is quick and staff are ALWAYS nice. Food is extremely 👍
Best chinese takeout I have had in years!! Clean store and fresh food. Highly recommend.
10/10 This is one of the best Chinese spot there’s is. The food is premium quality

Best chinese takeout I have had in years!! Clean store and fresh food. Highly recommend.
Delicious food and lady at the counter , very kind, prices reasonable for lunch specials. Nothing to complain!
Best in area. Hands down. Most dishes better then everywhere else. So why go anywhere else?
It's hi hot chicken What a name. What a stereotype. Was the food good? Absolutely it's Chinese food. Very unexpectedly the front desk person is also very polite, very rare for Chinese restaurants. Honestly, normally prefer the ones that are rude. They seem to have better food, but this one seems to be an outlier
We ordered catering for our daughter’s birthday party. The ingredients were fresh and foods were nicely packed. The food tastes very good; not salty. The lady was very nice helped us with the orders and made sure the platters are packed well so the sauce won’t leak. This is a great spot for Chinese take out. Good food and service and very clean.
Clean and nice food. Lunch specials are reasonable and have a lot of variety.
Excellent take-out service. Quality ingredients. Best Chinese food I’ve had in a long time in this area. “A” grade for cleanliness. Fried dumplings and the House Special soup were delicious. Big pieces of tender chicken in the soup and Lo Mein.
It is the first time I go to a take out Chinese restaurant and receive great costumer service. The person who took the order was very kind. I also heard her explaining the menu to another customer with patience and at a good pace. The food was good. Definitely a good spot to get lunch special when around the area. They have a few tables available if people prefer to dine in.

Solid spot. Boneless ribs were nice. Sesame chicken was good.
One of the cleanest and updated American style chinese take out joints I have ever stepped foot in. Not only are they newly renovated, the food here is pretty darn tasty for a small takeout spot. The service here is always top-notch, and the prices, especially the lunch specials, are super affordable. 10 bucks or less for lunch specials.
Recently opened up. The owners used to have the Chinese restaurant that had closed last year a few storefronts away. Food is solid for a Chinese restaurant but a little pricey. No free soda or item for over amount purchase. They also have udon noodles as well. Staff is super friendly.
Never disappointed with Hi Hot or their previous place.
Great little take out place. Always fresh
Local good Chinese food, delivery in neighborhood. Traditional new York Chinese food restaurant. Wanton soup 🍲, ribs, and special dishes. Lunch specials and combo dishes.

Food is good, but did not give a fill the container like they used too. Won't be returning.

👍🏻Crispy salt and pepper chicken: it was good and helped with my craving but, the batter could of been lighter and crispier. 👎🏻Hot and sour soup: had a really strange taste. It's a no for me. 👎🏻Chicken with eggplant sweet garlic sauce: this was really bad. Had way to much black vinegar. I opened the lid and my nostrils were filled with vinegar. I couldn't eat all my food and just ate the pork fried rice which was good. 👍🏻General tso chicken: the best item we got. I would come back to order this. It was perfect. Broccoli wasn't mushy, sauce was perfect. No complaints! 🌟Door to the kitchen was open so I was able to see inside the kitchen and it seemed pretty clean 💸3.5% additional charge if you use credit card so have cash in hand

Mid Confused as to why the score is so high
Rotten people behind the counter. They don't pay attention. Done with that place.
I hate to post a negative review, especially from this place where I’ve eaten numerous times. However last time I ordered from here, while eating my food I bit into something really hard. To my surprise it was a piece of a blade that I guess may have fallen off. Luckily I bit into flat part of the blade I guess or else I could have been seriously harmed or even died! When I called to inform them they were remorseful and promised to refund my order, however after 5 days they still hadn’t done so. I understand mistakes happen, but this mistake could have honestly been fatal and thus I will not be ordering from here anymore.
How unfortunate to leave a poor review in a local biz but I hope it inspires a shift. We deal with this joint because it’s the closest in the neighborhood. While your flavors are there, I’ve been dealing with your smaller portions and higher prices since you’ve reopened. 3 wontons in a small clear broth is what you call wonton soup. With hardly any meat inside. Today I wanted crispy noodles to put in my lobster sauce so I gladly paid an xtra $.50. After waiting, we find out you misheard me and made shrimp fried rice. I had to wait a few more mins for the mistake to be corrected and then you wanted me to pay the difference. For your misunderstanding. I was stunned. I get takeout almost weekly from you. But you then waved me off and muttered something about how you have to take the hit. I get home to an empty bag without sauces, napkins(which you don’t add automatically anymore) all because I didn’t think I should pay the two dollar difference. Actually $1.50 because you didn’t include the noodles that I paid for. So for $1.50 you lost a regular customer. Consider this-be less cheap with your portions and more courteous and loyal to your neighbors who have supported you for decades. I’ve been coming to this neighborhood takeout since I was a kid and they were down the block. I remember cracking the corners of my mouth on your Szechuan fried wontons, which were huge and crispy and garnished with green onions. It was a special that hung on your wall written simply on a piece of paper. You will see the pictures of what pathetic version they are today and for double the price . This goes for their chicken lo mein that has just chicken and cabbage in it and they call it lo mein. If you don’t believe me, go in order for yourself. And then compare it to all the other takeouts. I’m sorry to do it to a local business but shame on you . I will miss Tinley and her brother they were always the nicest.

The food is too oily and the chicken slices are too big. (The cutting is too chunky that makes the food not appealing. ) Their refrigerator is very annoying when you dine in because from time to time it makes rumbling noise. The workers practice double standard in pricing and when try to point it out to them, they never admit it. If you decide to eat here, good luck with that!
I asked the gentleman on the phone to explain the difference between double cooked pork and boneless spare ribs. He said “well we can waste more time explaining it to you or you can try it yourself” without further elaboration. In that case, check out Amy’s off bell blvd. They won’t berate you for asking a basic question and make double the portions.
The food was nothing but salty & coved with thick heavy sauce on every dish orded this isn’t Chinese food will not be back
