We ordered the 16 pieces family meal with fries. The service was fast and the chicken was hot and fresh

All young people running our location and they're doing an excellent job! Food is delicious and the service is excellent!

I come here almost exclusively for the chicken sandwich. It's a really big piece of chicken and tastes great for a reasonable price

Ordered via app and was able to pick it up in drive thru. So yummy!

Really good fried chicken, up to the corporate standards, which is how I judge these kind of chains. However, the menu board prices are insanely high. Order on-line, while you're in line waiting and get a much more reasonable price. I don't really understand why.

Fresh food, really nice guy on the drive thru speaker today, delivered my food outside because there was a wait for the blackened tenders.

I am very impressed with our new Popeyes here in Ramona. The place is super clean, the restaurant was well staffed, and the food was fast, fresh, and very good. Overall it has exceeded my expectations.

The food was so good, not alot of people their so the can take their time to make it well worth it. The gentleman (Jesus) who served us was awesome and gave me a menu recommendation!

The food is a 4 because, well, it's Popeyes. Food is good but not the healthiest 😉 I am reviewing this particular Popeyes location due to the service. In particular, I want to point out what an excellent employee they have at this location named Stephanie. We are visiting Ramona and went out late yesterday to pick up some Popeyes. Stephanie took our order and was very friendly. Nice service as it should be. We drove back to our hotel with our order, and we were missing a 10 piece of chicken (It was a large order). I returned back to Popeyes, noting we were missing the chicken. Stephanie apologized and verified with the person who put together our order that they indeed skipped this part of our order. She not only gave us what was missing but offered an additional side order to make up for the mistake. This is what most businesses do not recognize. We are all human and will make mistakes. However, it's how you remedy that mistake that creates loyal customers. While some may say that's the least they could do, you'd be surprised how many businesses don't even bother doing that. I, for one, will be returning to this Popeyes in the future and hope that Popeyes appreciates its employees like Stephanie.

This has to be the cleanest place I have ever been in. The bathrooms were sparkling and smelled like they were new. Nears. I can tell this place is not new so they must have a very good job of cleaning it. I would recommend this to anyone and I only put four stars for the food because I don't love Popeyes chicken. It was still very good and fresh and hot so take it with a grain of salt. Definitely recommend to anyone to try this location

Food was fresh and tasted great. We ordered a 20 piece family meal and some other sides, with chicken sandwiches. Restaurant/restrooms were clean and the AC was blasting on a hot day. We stayed for a while after we ate to talk and enjoy the atmosphere.

Be careful about ordering spicy foods. This is a Louisiana restaurant and there are spicy foods. I ordered the blackened chicken sandwich which was excellent. The wife ordered the SPICY chicken and I took a bite. Glad I stuck to my own. You have been warned!! You order spicy you will get it. Great place

We visited Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen in Ramona right when they opened and ordered the Hot Crispy Chicken and biscuits. Everything was freshly made and came out hot! The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and full of flavor. The biscuits were warm, buttery, and absolutely delicious. It made such a great start to our day. Popeyes truly has the best chicken and biscuits. Highly recommend if you want it fresh and extra crispy — go right when they open!

Not normally a fast food reviewer, but I received top notch kindness & courtesy from whoever was working the counter yesterday morning. Man deserves a raise!

Honestly one of the most consistent restaurants in town. Every visit is a good experience. I had the spaghetti with house-made tomato sauce and basil — simple, classic, and delicious. It’s clear they take pride in their ingredients. Always a good choice.

The reason you're not receiving a 5 star. The drive thru is was to slow. No one in line a 10 minute wait. 1 car ahead of me 15 minutes.

Good food, Online orders you must go through the drive thru to get your food. If a line is waiting in the drive thru you to must wait as well.

We ordered a huge dinner for family with the app. When I got home I saw I didn’t have any of my sides— so I called and they said to come back in. They replaced the sides and added biscuits and another side for free( that I wanted to add. And was prepared to purchase — ) for the inconvenience. Even though everyone was either done eating there chicken or there food was cold by the time I got back- I felt they rectified the situation as best as they could. Four stars because it was a shame they forgot all the sides to begin with— an order Costing close to 70$ should be carefully packed and accounted for. That’s a lot of money to spend on a fast food dinner and customers should Be appreciated off top for there business. But they earned the 4 stars By making it right as best as could be.

It's been a while since I've visited a Popeyes. Passing bye, I thot I'd try again. I'd missed breakfast and I felt drawn here. I wasn't disappointed. Usually, as a former restaurant worker, I can point out problems. I was disappointed to have none. The chicken tenders were actually tender! The crust was crusty and the meat was moist and tender! Usually overcooked, I was pleasantly surprised. I believe I will return on my next visit to Ramona.

Tried giving us a small fry not a large and gave us plain and honey mustard chicken sandwiches when we wanted a spicy and honey mustard. But i forgive them. Pretty good anyways gonna eat the nuggets i got as a side as leftovers. 😀

I like Popeye's The flavors are always good and the people are always friendly, The service is better than most. No atmosphere to speak of but it is always clean.

Good food and a good location. This Popeyes was a welcome addition to Ramona and still pulls in plenty of traffic. You know what you are getting here, consistantly prepared chicken. The sweet tea is delicious and the serving sizes are pretty good. I do recommend trying to use their app and order ahead. Could save you some time when the line gets 3 or 4 cars deep.

Clean atmosphere, slow food and the chicken was a bit off here. I had a belly ache later. The other people that were seared when I arrived were still waiting on food after I received mine, ate it, digested and left. Poor things.

They take EBT in the drive thur so that was good. The app doesn't really match the menu at the store so if you're not ordering through the app but look at it to get ideas for the family it will be a little complicated once you start to order but overall it wasn't too bad

Spicy Chicken Sandwich was incredible. Drive up window line was ridiculously slow. Maybe they should go watch Canes or Chik Filet and learn how to do the line right. When they do, 5 Stars, cause sandwich that good.

I know it's not the workers' fault but this place seems short staffed. When we visited last night, they had closed the dine-in area early and we're only open for the drive-thru. I don't know how it's possible but it took over 5 minutes for them to take an order from one customer (the car in front of me). Then when I got to be my turn to pick up my mobile order, they had run out of chicken tenders and I was told to contact the corporate for a refund. We've been to this location before and it was always clean and the staff were all great there. I just don't know how you can run out of just regular chicken tenders over an hour before closing.

Every time I've been to Popeyes, drive-thru or inside, I've had to wait a significant amount of time for my orders. The drive-thru or was not correct or even good. I was not able to eat it. The time I ordered inside we ate the chicken, but the grease it had been cooked in definitely needed to be changed. Disappointing for sure. Only thing I'll go back for is the Mac n cheese.

Love Popeyes chicken, but prefer the wings. I ordered eight wings. And then another order. The eight wings cost me $30! Something definitely wrong with the pricing!

Chicken sandwich was terrible tonight, no one took pride in making it hardly any chicken in the bun but, a lot of batter really crisp. Would not recommend this crew.

Ordered a 10 piece family meal. Called to let the manager know that all 10 pieces were raw, when he assured me he would be more careful, and hung up the phone on me. Luckily my kids enjoyed the sides so I gave them 2 stars, but the customer service is subpar at best

This is the 2nd time I’ve tried this Popeyes location. Both visits the chicken was awful. The chicken was rubbery when you bit into it and flavorless. It’s really upsetting when you spend $43 for a 12 piece family meal and it’s terrible. Something is going on with their chicken. I did give it 2 stars since the fries and coleslaw were fine.

So this is a pretty good place to get chicken but they took away my FAVORITE chicken bits so I have lost my interest for this place but they have bussin fried if they brought there chicken bits back I would love again sorry Popeyes see you soon 😢

I got the 10 pieces family meal. The chicken is crispy, crispy to the point that is overcooked and dried. In addition, these chicken was very salty. The biscuits were also overcooked to the point that these were hard and dry as well. The best was the fries, since this was freshly cooked. Hopefully our next visit these problems would be fixed. My family love Popeye's over KFC, but NOT all Popeye's produce the food and at the same consistency. We have frequent San Diego locations and Las Vegas and none of them tasted the same. So, read the review for each location and make your decision.

Everything in ramona sucks including this popeyes best just stay away from this side of towns food it has to offer. Always run out of stuff. Horrible customer service at night times. No wonder why so many ramonians go to poway which sucks also but not as bad as ramona

The Popeyes at this location in Ramona sucks. They don't have none of the good stuff that you can get from down the hill. Then on top of that they always out of stuff.

Absolutely horrendous service! The manager Jesus completely ignored my adult daughter’s who were trying to pickup a mobile order that was sitting there ready. After he walked off without even greeting or talking to them, multiple other workers looked right at us and also completely ignored us. I finally spoke up and asked if someone could just hand us the bag. The rude, unprofessional attitude girl Stephanie from the drive thru came over and rudely told us “they’re busy”, even though she was the only one who appeared “busy”. When we got there, there were zero people in the dining room and one person in the drive thru. That’s not busy, and even still, that is no excuse to indefinitely ignore customers. Oh and to top it all off my toe was literally 1-2 inches over their “line” and she had the nerve to rudely say “oh and you can’t be over that line” as I was getting the bag SHE set down.

updated 10/22 the struggles are real, I will from now on go through each item in my order. tonight I got fries instead of an apple pie, the last time they forgot a side. Food is fine, people are nice, but if they can't get an order right then they are no better than McDonalds. These guys struggle, from incomplete orders, to mild instead of spicy, to watching there be only 2 employees making orders during the busiest time of the day, and the one handling inside orders being so distracted it's not funny. The food is hit or miss, from stringy, dry chicken strips to a chicken sandwich that was sitting so long the breading had no crunch and only getting one biscuit when I should have gotten 2. I certainly hope they can get their act together. This is over 3 visits since they opened. Not one has been 100%. I get it, it's new and I'll continue to eat here hoping they improve. Tonight I waited over 20 minutes for a sandwich and fries, In that time I watched no fewer than 3 employees come out for drinks, none of them bothered to clean the drink station which was a mess.

Slowest service imaginable…..whats remarkable is this is the one consistent attribute of this shop. Entire staff needs to be replaced with a staff that is actually motivated to get the job done…..smh….who doesn't have food ready at dinner time constantly…..retrain them or fire them all

Ordered thru the app and sat in the drive thru for 25 minutes without any response. Ignored at the window despite the fact that they were open. Sign said open and people were inside, but they had the doors locked at 5:30 pm on a Friday. Don't go to this location!!!

SO SLOW!!! Are they slaughtering a fresh chicken for each order? I waited in line for so long that I ate my own foot and I wasn’t hungry anymore, Even though I already ordered I was so irritated at how long I had to wait that I just drove through when it was my turn. There weren’t even that many people ahead of me but it felt like it took ten minutes for each car… that is way too long to wait for chicken. I will never be back to this location thank goodness I don’t live in Ramona.

I rarely make reviews on places since I’m not one to care much, but this was so bad. I ordered two chicken sandwich meals and an order of mac and cheese. The only thing that was good was the Dr. Pepper. The sandwiches were clearly under the warmer forever. The sandwiches were soggy and cold and the bread was stale. The fries felt like they just came out of the refrigerator and the mac and cheese was slimey. It was at 11:30am and only one car in line with us so I don’t understand how it could be this bad.

The owners don't take care of people complains: size of the chicken and speed of the service. All we get is silence back. Again trying to get a fast lunch: stick in drive through line for 17 mins already. It took 10 mins to get ONE car get their food! 03/08/2023 1:15 pm. We got out food 31 mins later!!!! Terrible

Order blueberry lemon cream cheese pies with our dinner, wrong pies, they were apple, they cooked new ones, 20 minutes later, went home and they were still apple. Will never go back in that place. It's a bad joke. And the good isn't that good either. Forgot to mention waited 5 minutes to place an order with no one in line.

Bad service. Theres a way to talk to people over the drive thru and i always have trouble ordering my food because the girl on the other end doesnt like her job. If you hate your job just quit. No sense making everyone elces life hard. Learn to take orders. I eat out often and i dont think ill come back to the Ramona location.

Every single time we go there, they forget something in our order. This was like the seventh time and we are tired of it. They either forget a big part of it or give us the wrong order. Never leave without checking your bag because they WILL leave something out. Food is mid also.

What a joke... the absolute worst popeyes I have ever went to I ordered a 14 piece family meal 7 pieces of it were wings 5 drumsticks and 2 little thighs that were tiny and to top it all off all of our food was old. The biscuits were like hockey pucks all of this at 8pm pm a Saturday night I dropped nearly 50$ for my family and we could have eaten stater bros chicken that would have been fresh and 1/5 the price. I honestly cannot believe the owners of this spot didn't bring in staff who knew what they were doin.

Customer service is horrible, can't get a straight answer on what comes with..... Asked the same question 4 times and instead of and appreciate answer I get "well do ya wanta order that?" Nope not without a clear answer. *Chicken has been very Dry lately. *Potatoes are always fantastic. So my experience sent me down the hill to KFC in Poway.

So apparently they don't like to work until closing I showed up at 9:50 p.m. they're supposed to close at 10:00 p.m. they told me they ran out of food when in reality they want to get out of there early so they shut down early. I'm very disappointed in the work ethic of these young kids. You're supposed to be taking orders till 10:00 p.m. afterwards you clean and go home you don't clock out at 10:00 pm . This was Monday February 14th.

Slow service. High Prices. I go here every so often, and regret it every time. Food is decent, but they’re always sooooo slow and soooo expensive. Bought food for myself, a teenager and two toddlers and my total was 48 bucks. On top of that, they wanted to charge me $.25 per extra sauce above the limit of TWO I was allowed to have with my five piece $20 combo meal. I’ve seen a lot of businesses come and go in this town, and I’m going to look forward to this one closing. Terrible rip off. Never again. This is why no eats out anymore, I should have gone to the grocery store.

First of all I entered an on line order and waited 30 minutes before arriving at Popeyes. When I arrive to get my order I’m told they ran out of macaroni and cheese and it would take 7 minutes to make more. Not sure what happened in the 30 minutes prior to getting there but I decided to wait instead of choosing a different side. Big mistake since the 7 minutes turned into 20-25. Placing the order well ahead of time was fruitless. While waiting it felt like the store A/C must have been set to freezing. When I finally get my order I check it for accuracy, especially since I’ve had a bad experience before with my sides being wrong. When getting home I expect to see 3 legs, 3 wings, 2 thighs, and 2 breasts just like what the receipt indicates. Unfortunately they swapped one of the breasts out for a leg which is a much smaller piece. Tried calling the store but they never pick up and instead get a recording to leave a message. As I write this review I have yet to get a call back. When they first opened the store in town I was excited. Now not so much if at all. Food was ok, service was lacking, and there weren’t any sit down customers….probably due to how cold it was.

If you want "Montizumas Revenge," then this is your place. Food is uncooked cold moochy, and you will regret eating here. And the people working in the evening hours are a joke. I sat at the drive-through (only car) for 15 minutes before parking to go inside to place my order, only to regret eating here. The next day was very unpleasant, let's just say. Enjoy!

We went on Sunday 6/9. We had pre-ordered food and they were closed. Took 2 weeks to get a refund. Went back 6/9 the lobby closed 1.5 hours early. Didn't see on their hours saying the the lobby closed early. So we went through drive thru. And they messed up our order even though he repeated it multiple times. We doubled check before leaving but we should have looked in every box because the shorted us on the ghost pepper wings. Understand being understaff is a big part of all the issues we encountered. And the guy at the window seemed really nice. But need better management for a smoother service

This location is the absolute WORST Popeyes restaurant that I have EVER visit. I was so thrilled to hear about this location opening here in Ramona, because closest Popeyes restaurant near me was over 15 miles away. After visiting this restaurant 10 plus times since they've opened, they have only gotten my order right ONCE! NO EXAGGERATION. And if that wasn't bad enough, every time I've gone, I spend AT LEAST 20 to 30 minutes waiting for my order. My last visit which was just a couple of weeks ago, they screwed up my order again. Wrong food items, no sauces which I specifically asked for and although I repeated to the cashier twice that my family wanted all sweet teas, we get home only to find out they gave us bland iced teas which none of us could stomach. So I called and asked to speak to the manager, and the employee replied "Um, she is busy right now". So I ask "She is too busy to speak with a customer who received a screwed up order"? And she simply said "yep". Wow. So I said "Well are you going to at least take my name and number so that she can call me back considering I just spent over 50 dollars with you "? She said "Yeah..sure". Did the manager ever return my call. Nope. Bad/rude service, waste of my money and time. Truly disappointed. I'd rather go back to eating KFC's mediocre food giving my money to this Popeyes location.

went in on 11-18. Tried ordering food on the app for this location and the app isnt locating the store, so i went to the drive thru to order the freddy meal on the app says 12.99 at the store says 14.99. They made me pay full price and although i went to the rude manager at the time and showed them the app doesnt locate them she said ya we have been having issues with the app. She said she would not honor the price even though it clearly says it on the app. Not my fault it isnt working properly. Asked to resolve it she said no and i said i am going to talk to corporate and she responded rudely back to me go ahead. Im sorry that is poor customer service and you wonder why this location has bad reviews especially about the staff there. Its only 2 dollars but the fact they wouldnt honor it knew about the problem and told me go ahead and talk to corporate really fits the horrible customer service.

If I could give O stars, I would. They COMPLETELY destroyed my order. After I got home, nobody answered when I called. So I called the following day & they agreed to re-make it and then when I got to the drive thru, they said the district manager superseded them and decided NOT to honor what they agreed to. This is BS. We are NEVER going back. Our community is so small, I’ll make sure everyone knows.

This is not fast food. I do doordash and this place always takes forever. Do not come here if your in a hurry or if you want actually decent food.

The workers here have always been rude but I've not really cared because the food was always good. Now they've removed the best item off their menu. The whole reason I eat at popeyes and I tell everyone to eat there is because of the garlic parm sauce wings. Those are gone. I will not return to Popeyes anymore. If it comes back in original form someday I'll eat there again.

Nothing short of disappointing, I’ve been there about 10 times the last two years and not once has my food taken less than 15 minutes to be handed to me whether I order at the dri thru or online 20 minutes prior to picking up. And it’s not like you’re waiting to get the freshest and greatest chicken sandwich ever made, even for fast food it’s still pretty sad. I can get my food served faster at an actual restaurant.

Popeyes district manager trying to take down my comment so leaving it again…. This is a very common occurrence for this location. This store completely messed up my order. Gave me all bone in wings instead of boneless, gave me a leg and thigh combo instead of 2 breast combo and put the sauce on all the chicken when I specified sauce on the side. I tried calling 3 times the night this happened and I could not get through then next day I spoke with an employee who informed me they would be able to make it right only to hear upon driving an hour to the store that the district manager will not let them honor their word because I did not bring the food back. I did not eat it, I had to toss the bone in wings because none of my kids eat them and had to toss the leg and thigh because my wife doesn’t eat that. I cant recommend another choice of restaurant highly enough. This district manager does not know anything about customer service or righting wrongs. They don’t honor their word, they don’t get your order correct ever. Highly recommend all Ramona residents to choose a different spot to eat. Get the word out, if you’re looking for a restaurant who will give you the wrong order, if your asking for a chicken breast but really want a thigh, if you ask for boneless but secretly want bone in then this is the place for you!!!

The service is consistent, consistently slow on multiple orders I have waited in excess of 20 minutes, it seems they are always in the process of making the food but never having none already prepared, the manager that was working the night of January 31st doesn't seem to be managing as she didn't notice the order I was waiting on had been in the queue for 30 minutes before they even started on it, if I could give it a zero star rating I would

If I could give them a zero I would! Ordered an 8 piece chicken that looks like someone ate all the meat off then dipped it in the batter. Ordered a large Mac n cheese and they forgot to put it in the bag and they forget the biscuits that comes with the chicken. Ordered a large combo and charged for a large combo but they gave me a small drink. Fry container was half full. But they did give me my Mac n cheese that came with the combo. My husband went in to tell them that they messed up our order and They Told my husband they were out of large cups and containers and thats why they gave us small ones so my husband said then why did you charge me for large ones! Then the cook came out and tried to fight my husband and my husband wasn’t even getting irate with anyone! All three employees walked to the back for about 5 minutes and he could hear them talking crap then finally came up and gave him another drink cup and Mac n cheese! We will never be going back to this place and hope they go under!

went in on 11-18. Tried ordering food on the app for this location and the app isnt locating the store, so i went to the drive thru to order the freddy meal on the app says 12.99 at the store says 14.99. They made me pay full price and although i went to the rude manager at the time and showed them the app doesnt locate them she said ya we have been having issues with the app. She said she would not honor the price even though it clearly says it on the app. Not my fault it isnt working properly. Asked to resolve it she said no and i said i am going to talk to corporate and she responded rudely back to me go ahead.
