Just had the Carnitas Puffy taco, and it was awesome!! The shell was light, crispy, and yes, Puffy. Plenty of soft, juicy carnitas inside, along with cilantro, sour cream, and cheese. I put some salsa on it, I chose the hot. It just had the right amount of heat and acidity to balance out the richness of the pork. Go get you some !!!
The burrito is quite possibly (and arguably so) the perfect meal. You can practically take it anywhere with you. You can eat it with one hand or two. You can eat it for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. And in terms of stuffing, you can basically put anything in there, though certain combination are best left to the imagination. From where I live, there are at least 10 places that offer burritos. Two are well known fastfood chains and a bunch of sit down restaurants of varying seating capacity. Through the years, I have tried them all except one place - the Fat Burrito. I really can't explain why I've never been here before. Maybe, I haven't gotten around to it yet, but I recently came here and the food was like a revalation. I really can't explain it, but It was like my taste buds were finally awken from a deep slumber. The burrito I had tasted fresh. It tasted new; it tasted different. The burritos here reminded me of my childhood growing up in the bay area and a having mission burrito for the first time. Though the style of the Fat Burrito is different than a mission style burrito, it was like having a burrito for the first time. I came here twice already in a week and this place is awesome. Check this place out. I really do want to kick myself for not trying this place sooner
Had 3 tacos del al pastor, kids had quesadillas with rice and beans, I also had a Jamaica. Let me tell you "Linda" they was the bomb dot com. Tacos were a slight bigger and fuller then street tacos. Kids ate all their food without me nagging them. Menu is simple and affordable. Dinning inside was clean with tv playing a movie, dining outside was clean. The customer service was fast, attentive and friendly. Definitely coming back for the huaraches.
The burritos are amazing! Everything is so fresh and the meat has been quality every time so far (5 visits). I’ve tried the pastor, asada, pollo, Chile Verde, carnitas and machaca in the puffy tacos. My favorites are the machaca and carnitas when it’s in the puffy tacos. When it comes to the burritos I favor the Chile verde. The salsa verde is flavorful but not spicy. The hot salsa isn’t terribly hot but has decent flavor. Squeezing a little lime on each bite along with the drizzle of salsa makes it’s so incredibly savory! I typically get 1 burrito and 2 puffy tacos and boy does that make me feel stuffed. I want to try the “Fat Burrito” but it’s so hard to not have a puffy taco. I would suggest a puffy taco and...anything else on the menu. If I’m in the area you can bet I stopping in!
I live 30 minutes away but the trip is definitely worth it! Those puffy tacos you can’t get anywhere else like here! Fast service, good puffy tacos! Thank You!
I love the food awesome! ❤️ I just wished they would put a smaller version of Nachos on the menu. To big for one person if you’re a small eater. I hope they add it to there menu. ❤️
Wow! This place was so good! We got the fat burrito that fed my husband and two sons. I got the puffy tacos and they were delicious😋 Definitely recommend and will be back. Service was fast and friendly.
My favorite brother-in-law Tim told me how great this place was, especially the puffy tacos!!! They are delicious, the chicken, carne asada and Chile verde, amazing tacos! I don’t know how they make the shell, but it is just crisp and delicious 😋 Love, love, Fat Burrito and I highly recommend the puffy tacos! Also, AZI at the counter is super friendly and helpful:)
Came to this place on the way back from big bear since my group wanted to get burritos and this place was the first thing that popped up. Two of ordered the fat burrito, which is indeed very fat (easily two meals) and two of us couldn't handle it and just got regular burritos. We were all very satisfied with the food and the service, would definitely come again if I'm in the area.
So yummy! I like burrito more! I havent try fry taco. I will try next time!
Food was hot, fresh, flavorful and customer service was outstanding! Definitely worth coming back to!
Hands down the best burrito in Rancho Cucamonga! I stopped by for the first time last Thursday, and wow — this place blew me away. To be honest, there aren’t many Mexican restaurants in Rancho Cucamonga, and even fewer that actually taste good. I’ve only tried the burrito so far, but I came back today and it was just as delicious as the first time. What really sets this place apart is the quality of the meat. Unlike most spots in the area (or even in Fontana or Pomona), where the meat is either boiled, overly greasy, or drowning in seasoning, this place grills their meat properly. You can actually taste the difference — clean, flavorful, and no fatty or grimy texture. You can tell they use good quality cuts. I’m definitely coming back to try more off the menu. Highly recommend!
The food was excellent and the staff were very kind and helpful! Would recommend!
The puffy tacos are sooo good and gotta get them with a side of beans and rice!
I found Fat Burrito on Instagram, and I guess it's true that you can get the biggest surprises from the the littlest things, but this place is basically a whole in the wall, I've been driving past this place for years and it never came up on my radar until this one Instagram post about their Puffy Tacos and I thought at first, the are pricey at 5 dollars each, but you will be hooked after your first bite. I only bought 2 because I thought maybe I wouldn't like them but then Pow, one of the best tacos Ive ever had, it's nothing like any street taco, which you can get there but I HIGHLY recommend these little Puffy tacos, they will blow your mind. Don't cheat yourself like I did, get at least 3 tacos, I got 2 but I could of eaten at least 4 of these Puffy little tacos. BTW, if you get the Jamaica to drink, its a small one size cup, ask for no ice because it's already cold, enjoy!!!!
I have been going here for 5 years and it is the best tasting mexican restaurant that I have ever been to. Hands down! All of the employees are incredibly nice and welcoming, I tell all of my friends, family, and anyone that will listen to come eat here. Thank you Aziel and your family for providing consistently great food and service!!
We have been ordering food from Fat Burrito since they opened and many years later, they are still a favorite. The quality and taste is consistently good and the staff is always friendly and efficient. Our orders are always accurate and fast.
Went yesterday ordered 2 burritos great service great food I will be back
Their machaca burrito is the BEST. We also had their puffy tacos and they were good, but a little on the greasy side. It was almost as if they had premade the puff and reheated them and that's why they soaked up the oil. Customers know that puffy tacos will take a little longer, but they are worth the wait. Please don't cut corners. I would have definitely given them 5 stars if it wasn't for the greasy puffy tacos. I have updated my review to 5 stars because I've been there many times after my original post of 4 stars (about 4 years ago)and the puffy tacos have been delicious.
Went today for the first time, 5 stars all the way! We ordered 2 puffy tacos (carne asada) and 2 bean and cheese burritos. The beans were good, seems like they have lard which I love 🐽 Tortilla is made in house. The puffy taco is a unique experience and I’ve never had anything exactly like it. Great flavors. I’m always team #greensalsa but both are good here. The person taking my order was friendly. Literally couldn’t ask for anything more. We got food to go. It’s a little small inside but def space to eat there.
Great little spot, meats are on point and the puffy tacos are a unique item for sure. Lightly fried fresh tortilla gives a nice crispy texture without being greasy and heavy. Will be back for sure!
The food was amazing! The puffy tacos are really something special (I even got special green ones for St. Patrick’s Day). The service was very good as well. One thing I did not like is that they have stools rather than chairs in the dining area, just a personal preference.
Been meaning to check this place out for awhile and I’m so mad I’ve waited so long. Everything was so delicious and the puffy tacos may have changed my life.
Great service with friendly staff. Place is pretty small but clean. The carne asada wet burrito is super delicious and the salsa is great. Tried the puffy taco too and its yummy! My new spot for sure!
We came from out of town and picked Fat Burrito as our Mexican food spot for lunch twice! Their puffy tacos were so delicious. My husband got the quesadilla and really enjoyed it as well. Food was very fresh and the service was quick and friendly. Everything is served a la cart.
Eating at fat burrito has changed my life forever. Biting into a puffy taco is a magical experience indescribable by known words. After eating here I’ve gained a foot in height, my hairline was fixed, and I’ve become a millionaire overnight. Also the burritos can stand upright on their own and that’s pretty cool. 10/10 would recommend
New place for Mexican food. I really like their style of food. Different and more authentic than the usual places around here. Try the Puffy Tacos!! They're really good. Staff is super nice, lots of parking and seating area is nice. Small and quaint, perfect for a quick lunch.
Excellent service. I asked for a recommendation and was told to get the puffy taco with chile verde 😤🤌 so good i got take out but i got in my car and ate it like a monster since it was still hot and fresh.

Can't go wrong with a carne asada burrito 😋

The food was fantastic it tasted so good the puffy taco was amazing and best burrito I ever had. The nachos was so good to.
Been here a couple time for week lunch recently. The food is AMAZING! I love the carne asada fat burrito!❤️💯 and Damien the cashier is very courteous, polite, and on point with his customer service! I would definitely recommend this place to EVERYONE!!! Check it out! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I’ve been going here since 2008 when this family owned business was in Redding California. Best food on the planet, and the family owning it couldn’t be any kinder. Some of my favorite people in the world!
I believe the puffy carnitas tacos here, are my favorite tacos of all times. The salsa is 🔥 as well. Place is clean. Staff is polite. Beer is cold.
We wanted to try the puffy tacos and they did not disappoint. We tried the chile verde, carnitas, machaca and al pastor. All excellent! Strongly recommend the chile verde, carnitas, and machaca as they pair well with the puffy tacos, but like I said they were all excellent. Service was also great. Young men at the register was very polite and hospitable. Restaurant was clean and I enjoyed the sing-along from what I believe to be the cooks in the back. Looking forward to going back.
The guy that's always working the register here never implies that he should be tipped, is always polite and respectful, and just seems like a sweet person. Has manager vibes, probably deserves a raise. My kid asks to come here but part of the reason is definitely because he likes when I am relaxed. I like the customer service which happens to always be this same guy. So we drive to the other side of town for that reason. 👍
The restaurant is very clean, greeted as soon as you come get in. The food is very good have had the burrito and also various tacos. My go to is definitely the alpastor puffy tacos, we live 20 miles away and would drive just to eat here. Price is fair being how expensive things are they give a good quantity on portions.

The guy behind the counter is really helpful, and informatively explains the menu well. Puff tacos are amazing. Definitely worth the price. We've been here a few times and tried all the meats they have to offer and each one packs flavor and is tender. Fat burrito is one of our favorite spots now. Great salsa bar too. Everything always looks fresh.
It's a little pricey but good
Above average burrito - best attribute is the good tortilla (seems like it was made in-house). Carne asada was above average - nothing special, but had decent flavor. Above average salsa roja as well. Would come back again if in the area, but not a place I would plan to go out my way for.
The beef here is genuinely excellent — especially the steak pieces, which are tender, juicy, and generously portioned. The sides are also very generous, making the meals hearty and satisfying. The only downside this time was the taco shells, which felt a bit too dry. The large burrito is an incredible value — almost two pounds, packed with shredded beef, avocado, rice, and beans. One burrito can easily feed three to four people. We’ve always loved their shredded beef, but recently it has become noticeably saltier than before. As longtime customers, we really hope the recipe can return to its previous balance, since our last three visits have consistently felt too salty. On the positive side, the green salsa is fantastic, and the cheese nachos and puffy tacos are absolute must-tries — super flavorful and satisfying. The seating area is comfortable and spacious, making it a great spot to relax, share food with friends, and enjoy a few drinks. Overall, still a solid place with great value — we’d just love to see the saltiness improved so we can come back more often like before.
Saw a reel about the puffy tacos. So when a friend asked to meetup I suggested we come here. Decent size location. Some art on wall. Arch decorated. Theres a TV playing. I ordered the puffy tacos. Got carne asada. Pollo asado. And the cashier recommended the Chile Verde. That Chile Verde taco was really good. Also had an horchata, quite flavorful. Come try the puffy tacos.

This place is known for puffy tacos which is what we ordered. We really liked the substantial and chewy tortillas. My favorite meats were the asada and Al Pastor. For a hungry guy, I recommend 3 or 4 of these to fill you up.
Me and my family have been coming here for a lot of years but yesterday me and my fiance had a bad experience. We just got off a really long work shift and decided to grab some food here. As we ordered the cash register girl was unprofessional. I was explaining my order and because I was super exhausted she was irritated that I was taking my time to order and I don't speak one lick of Spanish and it showed that, it bothered her but as soon as my fiance spoke Spanish it was a different story, she made me feel really dumb when ordering but not when it came to my fiamce. She was flirting and trying to showing off. She was singing obnoxiously loud while people were trying to eat and talk. As we waited for our $60 food she labeled our food wrong and didn't give us any utensils to eat. We couldn't check our food because she tied the bag shut. By the time we got to our destination to eat we had no napkins and no utensils. Had to go all the way home just to eat when we wanted to park and enjoy our food. As much as that girl was singing and being obnoxious she should have cared about her job more and treated her customer that doesn't speak Spanish with RESPECT instead of flirting and showing off in front of her costumers man. Hope for a better experience next time. Also me and my sister went earlier in the day to get food for lunch and even my sister didn't have anything nice to say about the cashier girl when picking up our food that girl expected my sister to tip her and my sister found that to be very rude to just expect a tip for picking up our food. The seating used to be better but now their seating area isn't all the great anymore. My sister also thought the cashier girl was rude when we went to go pick up tacos for lunch.

Get a better cashier he doesn’t know what he doing. Not coming here nomore. Tired of messed up orders
No chicken they got to add chicken meat to the menu for the ppl that don't red meat or that other meat
A long time loyal customer, usually great customer service until my order was completely ignored today. I waited over a half hour for my order. Which I was told would be 10 minutes. 2 people got their orders who stood in line after me!! It started to get busier. Once I got my order, I asked why it took so long I was given 2 excuses, then offered a refund. I refused, told the clerk I was disappointed that he failed at resolving the problem by making excuses! I will not be going back. DO NOT GO HERE WHEN IT IS BUSY THEY CANNOT HANDLE MULTIPLE ORDERS!!
