Can never go wrong with Rubio's. Always delicious and always good service. This location was no different. Fresh, delicious, friendly, and fast.
It was my first visit to any Rubios. I had shrimp tacos, and they were very good. The young man at the counter was very polite and friendly. He provided great service. I'll definitely come back.
Staff was sweet and went above and beyond to assist us, even took our food to our table. Location was super clean and everything was very well maintained. Food was out within 5 minutes of ordering. Will definitely be returning.

Is there anyone who makes a better Baja Style Fish Taco than Rubios? The answer is no. Rubios always delivers fresh, tasty and unique food that is also very filling. Why would you spend more on a greasy burger that is mediocre, when you could get a Oaxacan shrimp bowl? This location is clean, fast and friendly. Give them a try.

The Order Taker was super nice and attentive. The wait staff was efficient. The salsa bar was fully stocked. Food came out on a timely basis. Nothing to complain about.

i ordered on the app to pick up, and for whatever reason, their system wasn’t working at the time, so they didn’t get my order, but my payment went through. not their fault, tech errors out sometimes! but they explained, and were kind about it, and i could see them busting their butts to get people’s orders out swiftly. that made all the difference. i already can’t wait to get another lobster burrito 🤤

There was only one thing wrong. I ordered a lobster bowl and I ordered a certain way and it wasn’t the way I ordered it. Other than that. Everything was great. Tortillas are kind of hard corn tortillas. It was friendly service very friendly service I was greeted nicely. They helped a lot explain things that I needed to explain. I will be back Tuesday.
Employees are courteous & go out of their way to help you.i love the specials 2 tacos gourmet & seafood & you get a drink. I eat more often here due to the specials.

It was very busy with the lunch crowd. Nevertheless the counter person took time to calmly explain menu items. Tables were clean as was salsa bar. A little extra prep time resulted in delicious tacos.

I had the 3 taco platter and it was as good as I remember. This was the original fish taco in my experience and memories hold up. Service was slow, but that meant the tacos were obviously prepared fresh. Salsa bar is still great. Atmosphere not as happy as I remember, but clean a.d comfortable.

I normally like the food here. I like their superb tacos and their sublime burritos, but today I wanted to try something new and got their loaded nachos. After taking my meal home and giving it a try, I'm a bit disappointed. For some reason, my meal was one hard solid mass, my chips were glued to every other chip by melted cheese. My nachos were even glued to the bottom of the container. Though I am not a fan of their nachos, I still like this place and their food.
Came to this location for lunch. Wanted to try a salad. Ordered the avocado street corn salad with shrimp plus added grilled chicke. They were busy during 1pm. I got the wrong salad. Half way through eating it I realized it had mangos and no cheese. 😕 i ate ot because I wasn't going to wait to get another meal. Time crunch. 😕
I ordered through Uber Eats. I always eat here when I come through Ontario. Food is always good with nice portions. I ordered a Street Corn Bowl with extra shrimp and avocado slices. Preparation and delivery were very timely. Food was still warm when I received. The bowl had enough rice and black beans for two bowls and I could count the pieces of corn. I had to go back and check my order to ensure I didn’t order the wrong thing. The receipt confirmed that I had indeed ordered the Street Corn Bowl as I had planned. The actual street corn was definitely lacking in this order. I wish I had decided to do a review and take a pic before I started eating. Food quality was good, just poor portions.

Customer service at Rancho location only seems to have gotten worse. We've ave had a few online orders that were lost/forgotten and then not ready 20-30 mins late. Each time the staff were indifferent and unaccommodating as well the customization requests completely wrong.

Unfortunately I saw a dead cockroach on the floor as I walked in. Have been going here for a while but will stop going until they get this corrected.
I went here last week and got a fish taco and classic chicken taco, and it was good enough that I went again, same order. This time it was very bad. There was horrible communication going in on the front and back of the house and it was obvious they were struggling with getting food out. By the time I got my food it was cold. The tortillas were raw and tasted stale too since they were very chewy, same with the chips. My chicken taco was definitly not the taco i ordered either.
This is our sec time coming here. Never really gave it a thought until my husband got some coupons.. the first time the customer service was pretty good . . The fish was good . My only complaint is that they serve cold tortillas .. I sent my food back and let then know . They made it again and it does suck to say but they were still cold . The only hot part to them was the bottom where the fish was sitting on . Not sure if that's how they serve their food but I personally do not like eating cold tortillas .. other than that the lady that helped me was nice about it. I really love fish tacos but I don't think I'll be ordering that again ..
Place needs to hire more workers at busy times. Here trying to pick up a catering order and was told an hour or more wait. I'm here now and it's been an hour already. This catering order was sent to me a few hours prior to pickup. The restaurant was so busy that they never received the order til I arrived. Crazy! Place was packed and line close to out the door! It's Friday! It's lunch time! On top of that, it's lent season. People are going to be going to seafood places today! This location should be more staffed to get these orders out in a timely matter!

The male at front table is racist and rude to Asian. I’m so sad and disappointed how you staff treated people so differently by the race with your tiny power1)staff will ignore me when I came in however he will say hi when other people came in. 2)waiting in line then it’s my turn. The staff just ignored me and did other things to make me wait. 3)me and 3 girls while waiting he just asked the 3 black girl if they need to drink and ignored me. The ridiculous thing is I heard of it but they didn’t until the staff repeated many times lol 4) after 20 mins waiting he told me he didn’t have my order. Why don’t he tell me at the beginning? Cuz he just ignored me at the beginning
Unfortunately we are really disappointed in this Rubio’s location. Its customer service and quality has gone down. I placed a mobile order that said it would be ready for pick up at 5:10pm. We did arrive at that time and asked the cashier if it was ready and she said the kitchen was still working on it (but she didn’t actually ask the kitchen). We didn’t mind waiting a bit that wasn’t the problem at first. However by 5:40pm the order was still not ready. We asked again and the other employee who was standing right next to the first cashier asked the kitchen and apparently they didn’t see the ticket and hadn’t even started making our order. The restaurant was not busy only two customers came in during the time we waited and got their food before us. We ended up getting our food at 5:54pm. All and all we are really sad because we use to love this establishment. I understand staff can be over worked but it was completely dead in the restaurant . The staff (however friendly) seemed to be chatting most of the time and the manager was yelling back and forth with the kitchen before she left around 5:20pm.
Well I went there for lunch and my friend and I were very very disappointed. They messed up our order for one thing. Then the chips were stale like a week old. I couldn't hardly chew through them. Most of the soda didn't have the syrup so all you got was bubbly water. overall it was very disappointing for $31. Blow past this one, if you want a decent meal.
I love Rubios but this location was not it. Floors and tables were very dirty. The salsa bar was empty and salsas thrown everywhere. Food came out, taco had only a few pieces of meat. Beans were so thick and cold. The sodas were ALL flat, mentioned it and they just gave me a coke bottle instead. Would consider a different location instead.
Came with my family just before 5PM on a Sunday. Placed our order for dine in then go to look for a table. Literally every unoccupied table was dirty, to include the high table with the bar stools. 8 total dirty tables to be exact. We notified the young lady taking orders and waited 7 minutes for a clean table. I ordered what they claim on their menu, they are "famous" for. The fish tacos. The corn tortilla had a moldy taste to it, the fish batter was over-cooked, the chips were old, and the side of beans tasted like dirt. My wife's burrito and my daughter's bowl were edible. I did order an additional burrito that my wife had since I was unable to eat the food I originally ordered for myself (the nasty fish tacos). I waited up front for my food to go and when it came up the off going manager Sochi (spelling may be wrong) was at the register, ignored me standing in front of her, was about to walk by without a word when I asked if she could please get my burrito so we could leave. Without breaking stride she said, "yeah" and continued to walk to the back to have someone else come out to put one burrito in a plastic bag. This is how a "manager" is acting to a customer? This is Rubio's standard for customer service. Cleanliness. I read a lot of reviews regarding how filthy this particular location is, with the owner responding with apologies. It is obvious that apologies is all the action that will be taken because this place was a mess. From the dirty tables, to the filthy salsa bar, to the horrific restroom. My wife and 4 year old daughter had to maneuver around urine on the floor, no toilet paper, or seat covers. I will be contacting the health department to alert them of the violations I witnessed while there. No towels in the sanitizer buckets, cleaning chemicals open and adjacent to food, an unlabeled spray bottle with some sort of liquid in it, workers not changing gloves between tasks, workers eating and drinking on the line, etc. Are these workers ServSafe Certified? Was that liquid in that spray bottle listed on your MSDS sheets or do you even have an updated MSDS binder? With the lack of professionalism displayed by the shift manager, it's not too surprising this location will most likely receive some citations very soon.
I’ve gone here in the past and it’s been great. Recently no. The last two times I’ve been here the food was not made well or even fresh. I feel sick. Their food is so expensive now. I should have received a well made fresh food item. I tasted old veggies and old mayo. That did it for me for good with this location. Check out these oily gummy chips. I’m genuinely scared I’m going to get food poisoning. Eww!
There were two items in my sour cream and my kid's burrito also had something green on the outside of the tortilla. It was a bean and cheese burrito. It was unwrapped completely at one end - almost dropped it taking it out of the bag. Was supposed to be curbside at 1:30 pm... tried calling twice before was told by automated machine that all teammates were busy. So we went inside to get the food. Anyone else tired of paying way too much money for subpar kitchen staff working in conditions that would have a health inspector shut it down?! At least I didn't see the employees sweeping the floor, then leaning the broom against the wall and with the same pair of gloves on: packaging the food, handing napkins, unpackaged utensils, and cash... yes, all the supposedly healthier, trendy, wood fired pizza places.

I went to the register to order a catering-sized picante salsa, knowing it shouldn’t be out of stock. When we got our food, the tacos were poorly made, missing onions, cilantro, avocado, and cotija cheese. The chips were all broken and at the bottom of the tray, the beans were dry, and the rice was bland with no flavor. The new corn bowl was mostly rice with overcooked shrimp. It’s disappointing because the food quality has deteriorated so much. This is why you lose business—poor service and low-quality food.

So we went back 2 Rubio’s on October 19, 2024 and it was a terrible experience. Hi prices and small portions. My wife order a lobster salad and it looks nothing like the picture n the menu. It was like ordering a burrito, paying full price and only getting half. My lobster burrito was loose to make it look thick but it wasn’t. No wonder the establishment is 4 sale. Stay away from Rubios. Do not waste your money there. Besides it was basically empty on a Saturday afternoon, now this place used 2 B super busy but now is dead. No I didn’t recommended any dishes in that terrible location in Rancho Cucamonga.

Someone watered down the salsa, the quesadilla had almost no cheese on it so when you picked it up all the chicken fell out. I can’t believe this is someone’s idea of a way to make a profit by screwing over the customers. I will never be back. Not only was the food bad the people working here are rude and not even doing their jobs just chatting with eachother ignoring customers. Wow!
I have been coming to this restaurant for a long time because the food has always been good, and it used to be one of my favorite places to visit with coworkers and family. Unfortunately, my most recent experience completely changed how I feel about returning. The waitress who served us, Patty (I believe that was her name), was extremely rude and unprofessional from the moment we arrived. It honestly felt like she did not want to attend to us at all. We tried to make things easy by ordering simple items and not asking for much, but even when we politely asked for the most basic things, she responded with attitude and clear disrespect. As paying customers, we expect to be treated with basic courtesy. Instead, we were made to feel like we were a burden. A simple polite tone would have gone a long way, but unfortunately that was not the case. Her behavior completely ruined what should have been an enjoyable outing and left a very negative impression. What is even more concerning is that management allows this kind of behavior to represent their restaurant. Staff should be trained to treat customers with professionalism and respect. If Patty cannot interact with customers in a polite and respectful way, then she should either be retrained or placed in a position that does not involve direct customer service. This restaurant used to be a regular spot for me, my coworkers, and my family. Experiences like this, however, are exactly how businesses lose loyal customers. I hope management takes this seriously and addresses the issue before more customers have the same experience.
