Tip: Consider ordering the You Pick 2 for a satisfying meal and take advantage of membership perks like free drinks.
I love the food! Being a member you get free drinks and with the You Pick 2, your tummy will be happy! The Mac n cheese or tomato soup is one of my favorites! The people at this location are friendly and asked if I needed help multiple times.
Very yummy and fresh! Tried the new buffalo chicken baguette with a side of caesar salad and it was pretty good, much bigger than I thought. The chicken avocado sandwich, mac and cheese, and candy cookie are my favorite tasting items to order at Panera.
Great service! I mistakenly ordered the wrong sandwich on the app! They replaced it for me although it was my mistake. Thank you Panera!

The manager at this Panera is ON. I have been to many Panera’a and this is the most motivated hands on manager I have ever seen. Have seen him take over all facets of the business, front counter, chef, line, tables. This place is clean, calm and quick food. The only suggestion is fix the tuna please. I know you can do better. Thank you
Matthew Garcia is my favorite employee at this establishment. One time, I went on a date here and she didn't actually finish her food but Matthew made my food and it was absolutely delicious. Service was quick, and costs were really good even though I paid for 2 meals. Would bring a date here again as long as she finishes her food and Matthew makes the food 😂
We love this Panera Bread location and my husband and I eat here about once a week. It is always clean and you are always greeted upon entering. There are plenty of tables inside and outside, we like having the options. Our food is always so good and we feel that you get very good size portions. One of my favorite things is how easy it is too order through the app and the customizations you can do. We appreciate you all and see you soon! =)
Gabe, the manager, was BEYOND accommodating!! I had a last minute business lunch to cater. Gabe took care of it right away and was even done earlier than expected. Could not be more happy with my service!! Thanks so much Gabe and team!!

Love this place. At one time, the standard dropped, but they have really turned things round. The food is tasty and good value.

Solid value duet for $8.99, tomato soup, baguette, and a mediterranean half sandwich is about as healthy as it gets at a restaurant.

The staff member that we dealt with made us repeat our order 5 times. Too little attention span. They need better employees in the front.

The place was A MESS and no one really cleans the place that much. The people and their service is pretty good. The food is good though. Come to this place if you like Paneras but are ok with the place being messy.

The food isn’t terrible, but the portion sizes for what we ordered are relatively sad for their price. A pick 2 combo for almost 15 dollars is the plate for the grilled cheese, and the salad was fine to mediocre at best. Under seasoned, with some cold parts and others burnt. Almost feels microwaved like others have said. Now, that’s not what causes me to write the review. The team leader, Alfonso, is the reason I decided to write one. He seemed serious, unenergetic and somewhat troubled by the fact that we even came in at all. As me and my sister waited to order, we were talking and he gave us dirty looks, pressuring us to order. While ordering, he just kept the talk to a minimal, not even asking what I wanted for my side, or if I wanted a drink, or anything. When we went to pay cash (although it was a $100 bill I understand), he asked if we had change because he didn’t have any. I ended up paying with card since I didn’t want to bother. Honestly, microwaved dinners and poor management makes this place a bummer. The music just makes it feel like a doctors waiting room. Avoid this place, and beware of Alfonso if you want to have a good day.
Help me find ANY TRACE of chicken in this $19 chicken sandwich. Just any.
Do not go here. Worst portions I've ever had at a Panera. This is my Steak and White Cheddar Panini with Mac and Cheese. Barely any steak or mac. I order this almost every week at different locations and this by far the worst.

Spend your money elsewhere. The portions are tiny for the price you pay. Terrible value, friendly staff.
If you’re reading this and your food arrived late, the main reason is the staff working here. Even when the order is ready, they don’t hand it over and they make things difficult for DoorDash drivers who come to pick it up. As a result, your food gets delayed because of them. In addition, they clearly show a lack of trust toward both DoorDash drivers assigned by the system and independent drivers like me. Every single time, they insist on confirmation before handing over the order. However, the bags are sealed, so we cannot see what’s inside, and we are forced to accept and deliver items we cannot verify because they keep insisting on confirmation. If something is missing from your order, it is not the fault of the DoorDash driver or the person delivering your food. It is because the staff failed to put all the items in the bag. For missing items, you should not blame the DoorDash driver — you need to deal directly with the staff at this location, specifically the people working at Panera Bread. That’s why I’m rating the staff accordingly.
I had a very humiliating experience here as a DoorDash courier. The woman at the pickup counter (wearing glasses) refused to give me the order unless I loudly read the customer’s name out in front of everyone. I found that disrespectful and unnecessary — I showed the order on my phone like we always do. She kept insisting, speaking to me in a condescending tone, and ultimately denied me the pickup. Couriers are partners in your business, not people to be publicly tested or embarrassed. This was unprofessional, degrading, and a complete waste of my time. I expect basic respect when I come to do my job. Very disappointing service.
we always love this place for a very long time, but recently my orders haven’t been correct, wrong food item, or missing item. today i used the mobile app and ordered for pickup but my whole order was incorrect so i was a little dissatisfied and disappointed on the service and food. My order number: 6051715954506835. I asked for no pecan but there was extra pecans on my salad. It also came with sauce for the salad but there was no salad sauce. i hope to have a better experience with panera bread.
Walked in-0 reaction, employees just stand and talk among themselves, my take out order was ready but not even on the screen or on the shelf for pick up, took 5 minutes for one of them to finally inquire what I am there for and give me my order, that was hidden and ready long time ago
Came to Santa Margarita for a job interview a few blocks away. First, the agave lemonade has alcohol in it (for certain.) Now for this morning, came in at 6:30, store was open but I got a dirty look from the manager, and possibly heard him talking negatively behind the counter about myself. I was unable to order on the app because the app is marked closed until 7:00am. I asked for a small coffee with the sip club, employee handed me a large cup. I had a stomach ache/headache, Around 7:30am a customer at the pick up counter says “don’t you hate the people who sit here and don’t order anything.” I have heard the exact same line at Lake Forest. I then asked for a small cup for soda because I had the sip club, the Hispanic lady said “No.” as I fiddled with my phone to order the soda. Another employee asked what was going on and handed me the cup. I have rated ever Panera in Orange County I’ve been to 1 star. I would say do better but I don’t think that they can. After having my phone charger stolen in Lake Forest Panera I will surely be taking continued action to protect myself. I have worked at Panera, I want my money back.
My stepdaughter was so excited to get Panera bread after her basketball practice. But, just like the last three times we came around dinner time for some food, they told us that the mac and cheese bread bowl was sold out. One time, the Mac and cheese was sold out not the bread bowl! I am very disappointed that whenever we go here in need of food, we get none.
Jennifer, who works there, is very rude and impolite, providing zero customer service. I have had a Sip Club membership at Panera for years, ordering coffee and food every day. The other day, I ordered a coffee through the kiosk, received my cup, and then asked Jennifer to check my reward. While I was filling my coffee, she loudly across the cafe that you have to pay for your coffee, in a very rude manner. I explained to her that I have an Sip Club and come here every day. She raised her voice and said, 'No, you don't.' Finally, one of the staff members came and explained to her that I placed my order and have it. She didn't apologize and continued to be rude. Zero customer service. I am so sorry for the poor behavior and customer service.
