Great spot for breakfast. Waitress was super friendly and very quick with coffee refills etc. We had coffee, orange juice, the 3 (giant) pancakes, and the veggie omelette with potatoes and toast, $44. This isn't the cheapest breakfast in town, but servings are hefty and the food is good quality and done right. It's a good spot to catch up with a friend over coffee. Their desserts look serious (positive) too!

What a delightful diner full of a bit of local history and full of A LOT of locals. Very relaxed NorCal atmosphere with friendly, funny, upbeat staff and plenty of food. I loved how extremely local Rocking R was, the server there knew like everyone in there but us and was super friendly to EVERYONE and very quick witted and fun. The menu was just the right size and not overly crazy like some diners get, which was promising, and ultimately delivered on making good food. The food was solid and well seasoned and you get plenty for the price!! I love that burgers and sandwiches had side choices other than just french fries without an upcharge. The diner was well worn in a cozy inviting way and it was bright and clean inside which was appreciated on one of the first dreary evenings of fall (especially after being rained out while camping!). It's right off the freeway and easy to get to and I highly recommend visiting Red Bluff if you've never stopped before. Rocking R is a good excuse to slow down and have a good meal and then take the ime for the short drive over to their cute little downtown and check it out.

Love this place. Always a great experience and great service. Drinks are never empty. Hard to go wrong with any of the food. Everything is taste good here.

We were just traveling thru and dialed up ‘Fish fry’ in Red Bluff, this restaurant was top of the list…and it most definitely should be top of the list!!! Amanda was the one and only server on the floor for what started out as a slow Thursday evening, but became busy. She didn’t miss a beat, took care of everyone with a smile and grace! Food came to our table fresh and hot. The fish was absolutely delicious.Huge portion with a great price. The wine is locally made, best White Zin I’ve ever tastedI Highly recommend stopping in..and definitely leave room for dessert..it was a real pleasurable experience we will remember about our travels thru Red Bluff.

The service here is excellent. highly recommend try this restaurant out. the food was good but I wish they had rice. it's 2 min walk from our hotel so that was a huge plus. the one I really enjoyed was the dessert 🍨 banana split 😋 the soup was my 2nd favorite 😍

The food was actually quite good! My only complaint about the whole thing was it is a bit overpriced for what you get. Loved the decor and they actually kept the music soft enough that you could carry on a conversation at your table. Worth trying. But be aware that if you are gluten free or vegetarian, your options are limited here. If you're a meat and potato lover, this place will hit a home run with you.

Nice little diner with good food and warm service. Looks like a well loved local spot, as I noticed the waitresses welcoming, what looks like, many local return customers. Food came out quick with no issues. Coffee was tasty.

It's usually all fresh. It's very rare that we get something cold. One of the favorite places me in the wife likes to go out to eat for breakfast. The food was really fresh outside of the toast and the coffee was burnt. Really delicious especially the chicken fried steak so fresh and makes you want to take another bite. It's a good spot for breakfast or lunch. Honestly good classic California diner food.

On a road trip and stopped at Rockin R due to it's proximity to the freeway. We will always patronize a locally owned restaurant over a chain. The server was excellent. Orders were taken in a friendly manner and beverages topped off. One of the most pleasant experiences we have in a while. The interior is country rustic and kind of forgettable. Seems like we have been here before but can't remember when. That sort of decor. The wife ordered a basic burger with a green salad. The burger came dry so you have to add the condiments. Not a bad idea. The only problem was the meat patty was cooked to very well done. That made it dry and chewy. I ordered a grilled turkey sandwich concoction that was fine in theory but not so good in execution. There was an aboundant amount of an oilly substance on the bread. It literally made my fingers wet. Therefore the taste of the sandwich was all about that substance. The green salads that accompanied the dishes were okay, just plain ice berg lettuce with tomato and cucumber slices with croutons. I will say that it is worth a stop just in case we had a one off experience. It is a better choice than what is offered nearby.

It's a nice little diner. I ate a salad it was really fresh. However we started to wonder who he had to know to get the water we had ordered. The eggs that he ordered were never delivered, but they were taken off the bill. I would definitely go back they just seem a little understaffed the last times I've been there.

First visit to this restaurant. Of all the components of the dining experience here, the service was the best. The service was excellent. The steak salad was basically bag lettuce with an okay steak cut up on it, topped with a small amount of crunchy bacon, blue cheese, onions. The toast was white on one side and too done on the other side. I wouldnt order this salad again if I came here again. It wasn't worth $30.

Refused to make me a new order of food that I told them was undercooked. they didn’t believe me. Told me “there is no way it is undercooked” the customer is always right , I think they forgot that important part of the restaurant business.
