First time eating at an olive garden and I was impressed. Delicious

Pleasantly surprised. Everything was great. My career in restaurat management tells me that this restaurant has an excellent management team. Little details like putting the onions in a a corner in case someone doesn't like onions (I do). Good hot food, everything was fresh.

When I dont have the time or energy to cook, the kids are always happy when I order to pick up and bring home the treats. The curbside pick-up service has always been quick and amazing. Food is always hot and delicious and carefully packed.

We had a family gathering of 12 people for dinner tonight at the Olive Garden in Redding. We were so thankful to have the best experience with thanks to our amazing waitress Nautica and the cooks that are behind the scenes. Nautica is extremely friendly, professional, and provides exceptional service making for a great overall experience. We were so impressed by her and plan to come back soon because of the service we received tonight.

My favorite Olive Garden to come to when in Redding. The service is friendly and nice to get to know. We had a great server that we truly enjoyed her company for a party of six on a Tuesday evening. When I return I hope to get her again! She also did amazing with the card reader and cash payments.

Dined alone at the bar. Bartender was super friendly, and fun to chat with. Food was delicious as usual and came out quickly.

We walked in on Saturday night around 7PM. The hostess immediately gave our 2 kids crayons and kids menu. With the help of the manager they also allowed us to put in the kids order for food. Waitress was attentive and refilled drinks without asking. Kids food came out with the adults food about 5 to 10 min later. Ample salad and hot breadsticks. Very happy.

19 of us showed for dinner at 6:30 pm this evening. Our waitress Graciela was absolutely awesome in customer service , kept our beverages and meal orders in order with a sincere smile and very pleasant attitude to all of us. Olive Garden has a gem in this employee. ❤️

Had a special situation I'm all alone firefighter and I left my radio on the table and they went way out of their way to secure it and protect it and get it back to me! Very honest!

Surprisingly amazing experience. Was in town for 2 days from Texas and stopped here for a quick meal. We felt our server was genuinely interested in delivering a great experience and it was refreshing to see. Food was incredibly good as well. Top notch all around.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. This is a chain restaurant. But this Olive Garden has never disappointed whenever I’ve visited! What makes this location stand out, in my opinion, is the service. Everyone is so friendly and personable. They’re always prompt and knowledgeable. Food is always fresh, hot, plentiful, and tastes so good. I always walk away feeling happy and full.

This is a great Olive Garden! The service was outstanding and I was met with the nicest servers in the bar area. Very personable, professional, and genuinely nice people- you could tell. Stopped here on my road trip to Lake Shasta, and I will be back next time. Clean location as well.

Great place to go for Italian food and drinks in Redding. The eggplant Parmesan was top notch along with the spinach artichoke dip and some signature cocktails. The soup however has a lot of potatoes. The server was friendly and informative regarding places to check out around. Clean area and restrooms. Would recommend it. Plenty of parking.

15 to 20 minute wait for a table on a Sunday night is not bad at all. Very clean restaurant. Great service friendly staff amazing drinks. Not a bad price for dinner for two with drinks. Wish I could remember the name of our waitress she made the dinner even better with her personality. Hands down best waitress we've ever had! (Redding,CA) location. Came to celebrate my sisters accomplishment and celebrating here was amazing! The food was great! Service was fast. Less than 10min to be seated. Chicken Scampi, Chicken Parmigiana. We got appetizers that were soo good! We almost didnt get a picture. The lasagna bites and the lightly fried shrimp and peppers! So good!!

We always come here for unlimited salads and soup. Everything were good and delicious, but some how service was slow for refilling our water and service. Maybe due to new employees.

If there was a way to give 10/5 starts I totally would. The staff was so kind to me tonight when I went in expecting to have dinner with some work friends and got stood up. My server, Nick, was so attentive and made sure I had everything I needed and also made sure I was okay. The manager and hostess also made sure I was okay and made my night so much better. I’ve always had wonderful food and experiences at the Redding Olive Garden, and tonight was just the solidarity for why I’m a lifelong customer here. Thank you so much to the Olive Garden staff, I really did feel like family when I was here lol

I cut over Redding from the coast so I could enjoy another amazing meal at the Olive Garden Italian Restaurant, and utilize the fast lane of hwy 5 on my way back to where the crazy socialists of the bay area spew their contempt for all that's great about the United States of America! The Olive Garden Italian Restaurant sure is a wonderful place, as soon as you walk in you're welcomed like family, and the wonderful aromas coming from the kitchen are just as Amazing as the food! ☆☆☆☆☆

Great food and as I am in a wheelchair, they help me in every way possible for me to feel right at home. I ended up taking more than half home in neatly packed containers for my parents to enjoy as well later.

We took our 17 year old Grandson out for a celebration meal after the Division Championship Wrestling Tournament. He wanted food that was healthy for the body and not a fast food joint. Staff were super friendly and our Server was attentive. We ordered two orders of Shrimp & Chicken Carbonara and one Seafood Alfredo. Each came with bread sticks and your choice of salad or four different soups. We had one salad, Chicken & Crocchi soup (white cream sauce with little dumplings), and another soup that had sausage, kale, potatoes with white cream sauce. Salad was only one serving, but enough for three! The guys thought their soups were great! Our main dishes were the best!!! The meal was served timely. Overall great meal experience. I wish their Bellini Peach-Raspberry Ice Tea was sold in grocery stores, yes folks it's that good! It's like a sweet peach tea with after tones of raspberries... very refreshing. Expect to pay a base of 20+ per meal... but with a taste of AWESOME, it was worth every bite! There was six of us. The Shrimp Alfredo was excellent; everything was amazing. Our waitress Christine was unbelievable amazing-very professional, funny, and very outgoing. My birthday is tomorrow the 12th and her and some the crew sang Happy Birthday to me. The piece of the all chocolate cake was delicious. They ran out of candles so the one woman held a lighter above it to blow it out! Absolutely loved that even better. Great personalities from the staff all around especially with us six woman! When going back through Redding for a trip (November 1, 2025), I booked a table for a group and enjoyed excellent service from our waiter Solomon. I’m a regular at this restaurant. They usually offer inexpensive and good-value meals at lunchtime, and the food tastes quite good. Bread and salad are also included. When you’re not sure what to eat, this is a solid choice.

We were immediately taken to our table and met with exceptional guest service. Our waiter was Jeff, he was super nice, attentive, and did a great job handling the dinner rush. Another place I loved to visit in Redding, California is Olive Garden. I absolutely love their seafood pasta and tiramisu cake. I also really love their tomato and cheese salad.

It was fine. Service was really hard on the upsell which was kinda annoying tbh. Food was not exceptional but fine for what it is. It's a generic America Italian chain, you get what you expect

The restaurant was clean, organizing as well as the staff. Our waitress was fantastic and also handled the rush tonight very well. Our orders were correct, the bill was low and my husband's food was fantastic according to him. I ordered the Zuppa Toscana and it was good and I had my bowl. I do wish it came with kale and sausage though but I think I got the bottom of the pot durring the dinner rush because I didn't even have one of either. Only potatoes in broth. Regardless, it was good, I said nothing and we left to enjoy the rest of pur evening. 4☆

There aren't a lot of options on the menu other than chicken or pasta. Would like to see more beef and pork choices also.

My daughter inlaw,granddaughter and myself meet monthly for our book club and have lunch. We always enjoy the food and atmosphere.

Good experience. Food was good as expected. Service was friendly, and quick. We had the Eggplant Parmesan, and creat your own pasta, Bucatini with Creamy Mushroom sauce. We went there after a day of hiking and outdoor activity, and polished off the food. All in all a very satisfying experience in a chain restaurant.

Service was kind of slow. No one really came to check on us/refill drinks. But they were friendly when they did come by. Food was excellent and they packed up our leftovers.

Did a take out order so I had limited time with the staff, but while I was there, they were friendly and accommodating. The food was on the better side of typical. Plus, they are open later than many places. It's an ok choice for a late night bite.

Is closest to Italy as we can get here in Redding not a bad selection Services usually pretty good food quality and quantity is usually fair for their pricing. They seem to have a good selection of wine and a knowledgeable staff. Salad and bread sticks are hard to beat. Soups are great as well.

Pretty good, the service was friendly and fast. The food is about what you’d expect - not really authentic Italian, it is to Italian cuisine what Taco Bell is to Mexican - a simplified, cartoonish version. But you know all this. If you’re trying to see if this particular Olive Garden is clean and well-run, yes it is. Pictured is the bread bowl full of meatballs, tomato sauce, and cheese I had. I don’t even remember what it was called, but it’s like the kind of thing I used to throw together out of leftovers back in my bachelor days.

Our server was awesome. Super friendly and chatty. Gave us extra salad because they ran out of bread sticks, and then brought us extra bread sticks when they came out. We had to wait about 10 minutes for utensils because he the hostess forgot to wrap them or deliver them. The hostess right off the bat didn't ask us for here or to go, so I greeted her and let her know "2 for here". She picked up 2 menus (no word), started walking, (so we followed), set the menus down, (we said thank you), she said, "yup", and walked away. When we were leaving the manager came and asked us how our lunch was, and she came out of no where with a giant smile and asked the same thing.

Friday evening dinner. Waitress was fairly good and attentive but entrees took forever. She blamed it on the computer system being down. When we finally got our meals, they were all cold. Mine even had dried up, hard edges of pasta. I added broccoli to my chicken alfredo and there were mainly two large chunks of broccoli like a quarter head. It's like they didn't even try to cut it up to place it in the dish. We all just stopped eating and decided to just box it up to eat at home.

I love their food but man the amount of times I’ve gotten a side of fruit and the grapes are moldy/unwashed probably is ridiculous. I usually don’t say anything even though I know should. They didn’t wash the broccoli good enough before cooking. Found this worm in its web on my broccoli….I understand stuff like this happens but yikes. Also added a side of grilled chicken….RUBBERY OVER COOKED. Wish I could add a photo.

Diana was an amazing host, but sadly not an excellent experience overall because the food took literally over an hour. Steak was bad. Luckily the manager helped us out with a free meal.

The main course was good, however the salad we received was very dry. As well, we received our dinner first, then our salad after we finished eating, and they gave us 3 breadsticks to take with us on our way out instead of giving us the bread and salad before our dinner. I was confused as to why that happened, it wasn't busy and I observed our server going into the kitchen for long periods of time and not coming out.

Our server was great. It was obvious she was working alot of tables but she still managed to take care of us. The food was underwhelming. The salad was a little wilted. My Spaghetti and meatballs was bland. Once I added salt and pepper, it tasted OK. The bread sticks we're a little cold. Not the best experience.

Went out to have dinner and waited over an hour to get our food. When the food arrived it was dried out and tired. To be fair they comped the entrees but it was a lackluster end to an hour wait. The salad was primarily iceburg with a single tomato slice and 2 olives. The bread sticks were OK but not great. My manicotti seemed like there was no ricotta in it. The server did her best and was very kind but we watched the manager come out and take back dishes from two other tables, it seems like the kitchen was having a bad night. All in all it helped me remember why I had not been in years.

We ordered drinks that took 15 minutes to get to us while our server greeted and immediately helped other customers who were apparently regulars and more important. We will not be returning! 1 hr wait on a slow night. Three staff members chatting up a storm by the register...and yet no service!! We waited for over an hr for our food. Had to get it to go. Well, I ordered food for take out like I’ve done for years now, and when I got home and we sat down to eat our dinners, we were both extremely upset by what we had discovered. The lasagna was not the same as it was every single time I’ve ordered it before. It had a totally different taste and ingredients it didn’t have before. The soup was different, and the meatballs were a tiny portion of what size they’d been for years. The spaghetti’ and meat sauce was terrible too. It’s almost as if they had some new chef who didn’t want to stick to the way things are supposed to be made. After paying nearly $120 bucks then to have not just one but all of our meals being terrible, well, it’ll be my last time getting anything from there.

Walked out at dinner time. Check in desk: No servers and forever to get a table. Was told over 20 min wait and the place was empty.

So this was the first time my family and I had gone to Olive Garden in years, we were so excited Because all of our past experiences had been really good, the food, the service, the atmosphere and all. Let me tell you, non of us were expecting the experience we had. When we first got in we had to wait for a table (no problem, we already expected it bc the place was packed). Our server was very polite and professional. The bread sticks were good, the salad was good, but they had oil and vinegar tossed in it already and there were no other options for it like there was in the past. When we got our main dishes, non of us were satisfied. Every dish was bland but the Alfredo took the win for the most unappetizing plate of the century. While the chicken was ok, the noodles were half dried out and cold, the sauce made me so sick. It was the worst I've ever had, when a dish make chef boyardee look and taste amazing in comparison, there's a problem. The sauce was chalky, chunky, and bland. It literally made my stomach turn it tasted so bad. I couldn't take more than 3 bites, and I was starving. Chicken Alfredo is my daughter's favorite and she was really excited, she took a bite and her face went from happy and excited, to oh my gosh this is disgusting. The look on her poor face said it all, she couldn't even chew or swallow it, she literally spit it out and said "mommy this is grouse, I think it went bad can I please have something else" everyone around the table was complaining about their food. I said something to our waiter which apologized for our experience. Non of us ate our food. My oldest tried his best bc he didn't want to waist the money I had just paid for everyone's meals. I let the waiter know we were ready to leave and don't worry he will still be taken care of for his excellent service. He told me not to worry about it bc he could truly see than we all did not like the food, we didn't even eat it. I told him no, it's not your fault. I explained to him how the dishes should have been prepared and how the sauce should be smooth and even the spaghetti and marinara sauces tasted like plain tomato paste with not seasoning, I told him he could try the food to see for himself. He said, " no I'm good, I believe you, I could see it in all your faces when I came around the corner to check in on you guys. He asked what he could do to make it right. I told him it's quite alright, I just want to pay for the meals and tip him so we could go. He came back a few minutes later with a bag of bread sticks bc he heard my son say the bread was the best part about the place. And let me know the manager has comped one of the main dishes. I told him thank you very much I wasn't expecting that bc we did order and I had planned on paying for what I ordered. He smiled and said I wish I could do more but that's all I could do. I thanked him again. Our bill ended up being around $80 and there was another unexpected surprise, the tablet they offered my daughter to use that I was told was complimentary was indeed not, I ended up having to pay for that. There should be a sign and the server should not say it's complimentary because that means free which it was not. So I gave him a $20 tip and told him to have a wonderful night. He thanked me and asked if I wanted change or to split it with me, I looked at him and let him know that even though our experience was horrible with the food that his service was exceptional other than the mis info on the tablet, just so you know you have to pay for it but $2 isn't much it's just the honesty I want. He apologized for misinforming us and we said goodbye. And I just want this to be known that even though if you get bad food, if your service is good, they do deserve a tip. It's not cool to have someone wait on you and do their best and clean after you and not get a tip. It's not their fault if the food isn't good. They don't cook it. If the service is bad yet the food is good, I always tip the chef personally and you can do that, I will tip for poor service just not nearly as much.

Went to Olive Garden today. Very disappointed with the food. We ordered the 6oz sirloin, medium rare, with fettuccine. The steak might have been 3oz (I never would serve a steak like that to a guest at my house, it looked pathetic), that was so well done I could not eat it. The manager came by and I told him, but he just said "well, you know, steak can cook like that depending on size", what? I told him I wasn't able to eat the steak. He walked away. Fettuccine was like rubber with old sauce. The server said she would see about a credit for steak. She informed me that the manager said said since I ate the noodles, no credit. We left. Will not be back. The only reason for the one star was for the server.

Steaks over cooked and the rest of the food was ok!! Our Server was really great.

My wife has difficulty hearing, and so when the host attempted to seat her near the kitchen door she asked to be seated elsewhere, instead. Amazingly, the guy protested, suggesting that it was important to balance the number of patrons against the number of servers. Logical enough, but not what we wanted to hear and so we sought an environment at another restaurant where we were able to enjoy the evening together. I would be surprised if we return to the Redding Olive Garden any time soon, and, while this cannot cut deeply into their bottom line, my last purchase amounted to more than $500 and so this approach might at least warrant a second look by management.

This is most dry food I ever tasted in my life. Never coming back place or any relate to Olive Garden and the person who seviced us was fantastic job. I really liked her to be honest. The chef did unbelievable terrible job I couldn't show my emotion on this place and I wanted to throw up so badly. There is no seasoning like where is seasoning? Do it better next time. But the drinks tasted good by the way. This is my first time going Olive garden..still never coming back ever.
