Tip: The restaurant can get busy in the evening, so be prepared for a wait. If you like spicy food, try the silk saan or phi pop cocktails. Be cautious when ordering spice levels for dishes like the drunken noodles.

Great place in Redlands CA for unique Thai food. Every menu item I've had is fantastic. It's not the traditional Thai restaurant that you may be used to. It's hip, with great decorations including an authentic tuktuk that has been turned into a table. There's also a large private room in the very back of the restaurant for events if needed. The food here is some of the best I've ever had. I was talking with the owner, who is there on the regular and open for anyone who wants to talk to him, and he told me he was focused on trying to make food that was comfort food. And that's exactly how I felt. Additionally and absolutely noteworthy are the amazing drinks at this place. Cocktails that should have a $20 price tag that are one of a kind and absolutely delicious. You can literally tell the bartender a flavor that you're looking for, and something will be made custom just for you. Can't recommend this restaurant high enough! Definitely visit if you are in Redlands! Update: Just ordered takeout for the first time from here and got it home and it was absolutely delicious!
Fun and trendy! We went for date night and had a really nice time. The mixed drinks are great, and the different beer options are cool. When my food first came I was almost disappointed because it looked fairly basic, but it tasted AMAZING! Staff was really friendly even during busy times and the wait wasn't very long. Would recommend and will be going back for sure.
Very good :) Pleasantly surprised to find Khao Soi on the menu!! . Update: 10/2021. Still wonderful. Had the Khao Soi again and it was delightful. I was full and pretty much completed the portion. Very full and noisy on Saturday night at dinner time. That’s a relief for me (because it’s obviously all about me) because I want to come back! . 7/2023 Visited again with friends and had a wonderful time. The fried oyster mushrooms were a revelation. Loved the Khao Soi once again. Super busy. AND THANK YOU FOR FLYING THE INCLUSION FLAG!!!
The curry noodles were fantastic, the cocktails were tasty and cute, and the service was impeccable in a warm environment. Definitely coming back!
Food & drinks are always amazing 🤤 Live entertainment with the grinch playing in the background, AH so much fun! MJ was an absolute angel 🪽
What a surprise to find this place... we had cocktails which were wonderful especially one called "Sorry Sorry Sorry" a mescal riesling creation that surprised me, in the best way. We got the crispy pork belly and sticky mango rice and they really reminded us of Thailand. We'll be back
Cozy, love the garlic sauce. Best fresh Bok Choi and fried tofu I ever had. Coming here for Mother’s Day!! The best service in town (thank you Jira for the amazing customer service!!) best place in Redlands
Delightful food and PERFECT cocktails, kind and helpful staff, wonderfully decorated interior. Genuinely have nothing bad to say about this spot! The pandan custard is such a delightful simple dessert and I crave it often (:
We were passing through this town and decided to have dinner at this restaurant. Large selection of food and drinks and also a dessert menu. The restaurant is kept clean. Two halls for visitors, two gender toilets, no Wi-Fi. Attentive service and very tasty food. 😋 The restaurant is also open for takeaway.
I’ve been wanting to visit this Thai spot since I often walk by it but it’s only open during dinner time. Today I finally had a chance to grab a meal there with my friend and I was pleasantly surprised by the food. Our server was very sweet and gave us great suggestions for entrees! We chose the khao soi (curry noodles) with chicken, which was recommended to us and the 12 hour slow braised pork as our main dishes. While waiting for our meal, we noted that the restaurant had some cute decor, from the variety of different plants to the strings lights strung above the bar, the aesthetic of this place was vibrant yet cozy. When we were served our dinner, we were engulfed by the mouthwatering smell of curry. The noodles were generously coated with curry, chicken, and veggies. We absolutely loved the dish and devoured it right after pictures were taken. The braised pork was also delicious, the sauces that were mixed in brought a surprising amount of heat that balanced the meat well. The pork was tender and melted in your mouth and the veggies that accompanied the protein had a nice sour flavor with a spicy aftertaste. My friend and I absolutely loved both dishes and we both are definitely coming back again to try out the other dishes that were recommended.
WOW! Excellent Thai food in a very nice space, bar program is outstanding as well. They have a lot of interesting dishes that I personally was unfamiliar with, which is always exciting. Pro tip: if you like spice, ask for a side of their hot sauces. I’m not sure if they make any of them in-house, but they’re damn tasty, so who cares? I had the Khao Soi - a bowl of egg noodles in a creamy, mild curry broth that seems to be a signature item. Really excellent dish and not something you see on a ton of menus; it was my own first time eating it. Noodles were nice and springy, and I enjoyed the textural variety the crispy fried noodle garnish brought to the table. The pickled mustard greens were a delicious hit of acid and funk that complimented the rich, warm flavors of the curry broth. I added pork belly for my protein and it was similarly delicious, though I think I’ll go with chicken next time; the dish has plenty of flavor already and the pork belly got a bit lost in the mix. I could see the crab or shrimp being quite good with this. Great flavors overall, I think they make their curry paste in-house, but that’s just a guess. My friend had the chicken pad Thai (mild, of course) because he’s flabbergastingly white, but the bite I had was admittedly really tasty. For drinks I had the Golden Triangle (pictured), and the Tom Kha Tonic. Both were excellent, particularly the former, which brought the most complex flavor I’ve gotten from a cocktail in quite some time. The five spice really elevated it. The decor was gorgeous but casual and homey, and the restaurant was clean. I sat at the bar, I’d recommend reservations for a table (at least on the weekend). Staff was super friendly and helpful but not mindblowing. Nothing wrong with that. Overall an excellent spot for a dinner, whether it’s solo, with friends, or on a date. I think I’ll be returning soon to test their late nite menu out…
Aroi Mak Mak is what a restaurant should be. Fun, locally owned, incredible food, a welcoming atmosphere, and gorgeous, unique decor. The food is divine and the drinks are in a league of their own. I especially love their noodle dishes but the pork appetizer is 🔥🔥🔥. They make their own sauces in house and it was so good I snagged a bottle for home.
Went here on a whim and it was incredible! The atmosphere got us right when we entered, and the servers were so quick to help seat us. Great music, relaxed ambience. In the back there's this cool lil fixture that you could sit at. There were so many menu options, we got Moo Yang and Ka Pow Stir Fry with pork belly and WOW so bomb. Be mindful of the spice level you ask for, i thought i could hang and asked for the food to be "very spicy" but my nose was running something fierce haha. All in all I loved it, definitely look forward to going back!
Honestly, this is the type of restaurant the IE needed. Everything is gastropub this gastropub that, and for such a creative and fresh restaurant to pop up in Redlands, it’s a breath of fresh air. The food was amazing and you can taste the fresh ginger, lemongrass, etc. in everything. Their fish sauce hot sauce is dynamite, and the coconut custard/sorbet is incredible. I got the dry noodles and DAMN. My friend got the curry soup and he loved it. The spice levels were on point and I can’t wait to go back and try more. UPDATE: Still delicious. Here are more pics.
AMM is my go-to spot for great food in Redlands! Fantastic environment, with a vibrant space full of energy and life. Staff is very positive and enthusiastic about their job. Location on Orange Street is very easy to walk down from a parking lot. And now the food. Everything that you have read the other reviews is true. It is simply fantastic. We had the chicken wings and pork bellies as appetizers. Simply perfect. Then we had the curry noodles, crispy noodle, omelette with pork, and another with chicken. Every dish was amazing and all four of us were blown away by how great they were. Coconut ice cream and custard at the end is a must-do way to enjoy your meal. A full bar with some very creative cocktails and Asian beers. So get down to Orange Street, and try this locally owned and operated amazing restaurant!
I'm Mr Fatboy problems himself. The atmosphere is nice and cozy. On the weekend you can catch live entertainment. The food is exceptional and the portions are exactly right.. I would highly recommend it for a date night for close conversation.. and Good eats. The barmaid drinks are nice and tasty 😋. Not overpowering and not watered down
Aroi mak mak definitely Thai restaurant we love to go at Redlands, the food always amazing A++ rating … we ordered slow braised pork, fry egg rolls (chicken) and definitely always order mango sticky rice !! Sooo soo good! Although they could add some more sticky rice quantity in it (just simple recommendations) for the price 🤭 but overall Aroi mak mak always delivers the best
Authentic/modern Thai cuisine. The restaurant is fun and vibrant. I only got a picture of the drinks because when the food came it was too good to wait. Khao Soi is very yummy and takes me back to Thailand. The pea shoots are delicious and so are the fried mushrooms! Definitely coming back! Also very friendly staff and owners.
Aroi Mak Mak is a unique addition to downtown. The atmosphere is colorful and fun and the branding is visually appealing. They provide a nice balance between fancy and still feeling comfortable, with a very friendly staff. The menu items are creative with a few that can be made vegetarian and a few less that can be made vegan. Everything came out quickly and fresh. We tried the Bamee Hang (dry noodles) and they were delicious and clearly made in house, and the Kai Jiao (omelette), both made vegetarian. The Sorry Sorry Sorry and Bing Bao cocktails were also very good and the coconut sherbet was delicious (and I don't even like coconut). I'll be returning. One criticism: the menu can be difficult to read with such small print.
I would get the drunken noodles again but not as hot. I got the 10/10 and wow my mouth was in FIRE. Get the 7/10 it’ll be 💣! The friend chicken is boneless FYI, but its thighs and its bomb. But I was expecting bone in. My mouth was on fire so the waiter gave me a side of steamed rice and I ordered a Thai iced tea with coconut cream. This food was legit I will definitely be back to try something else.
Out of all the places that me and my friend hopped to, Aroi Mak Mak was the only place that treated us with kindness. We were greeted with a smile and they were so attentive to us, the food smelled amazing. The Sorry Sorry Sorry cocktail had a beautiful presentation and was delicious!! I will be going there again and again. And you should too
I come here so often with family and I love it every time! We have our go to orders but I like to switch up once in a while especially if I feel like trying a new menu item. Servers and staff are always friendly and super helpful, the atmosphere is always the best, very loud and good music.
My favorite Thai place in Redlands! The food is amazing and the atmosphere is almost better. We went on a Friday night, and were able to put our name in for a phone call. During our wait time, we walked around downtown, and we got 5-10 minutes after we were called to make it back to the restaurant for our table. Service was amazing, and the food came out quickly and piping hot. My favorite place to sit is the bus in the back next to the chicken wall, but there’s a moderate amount of seating throughout the restaurant and at the bar. My favorite items to order are their sticky rice, fried pork belly, pad see ew, and peanut noodles.
OMG! This place was amazing. It more than exceeded my expectations. Everything was phenomenal and the fried egg rolls were some of the best I've ever had. The tom kha soup was also out of this world and it's literally one of my favorite dishes to get at Thai food places! Not only was the food to die for so was the decor and cocktails. The cocktail options are almost too overwhelming to choose from every last one sounded divine. I will 1000% be returning.
I love this little gem in Redlands. Tasty food and a great atmosphere. The back has a "quieter" section since this place gets busy in the evening. The curry is to die for, as well as the mushroom, and fried tofu appetizer. Casual, and inviting. Give it a try whenever you're in the area
Had the chicken fried rice and it was amazing! Well cooked and tasty garnishes. I also had the shrimp pad see ew and it was phenomenal. So good I did not wait to eat, hence the no photo. Very cute area and place to sit down at for a date. Highly recommend. Great service. Their spicy sauce and fish sauce were also very good!
The best Thai food I’ve ever had. They have a live dj and happy hour. The decor is so cute and tropical. Easily one of my favorite restaurants.
I recently stopped by Aroi Mak Mak and had a great experience. I decided to try their coconut soup and pad Thai, and paired them with a Singha beer and a Thai iced tea. Everything was delicious. The coconut soup was creamy and packed with flavor, perfect for warming up. The pad Thai had just the right amount of sweet and savory, and the noodles were cooked perfectly. The Singha beer was super refreshing, and the Thai iced tea was sweet and smooth—just what I needed. The service was awesome too. The staff were friendly and made sure I had everything I needed without being pushy. It’s always nice when the people working there are on top of things and make you feel welcome. The atmosphere at Aroi Mak Mak is really cool, too. It’s got a relaxed vibe that makes it easy to kick back and enjoy your meal. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or sitting down for a longer meal, the place feels welcoming and comfortable. I’ll definitely be back to Aroi Mak Mak to try more dishes. If you’re in the mood for some tasty Thai food and good drinks, this place is worth checking out. You won’t be disappointed!
A fantastic casual mom and pop Thai spot! They offer tables and a bar area. And if you want, they even have a tuk tuk in the back of the restaurant that you can sit in as well. The service is prompt and friendly. We ordered a variety of dishes to share among the three of us. Everything was excellent. All of our food came out in a timely fashion. The flavors were authentic and spice levels were correct. I highly recommend this spot for quality Thai food.
Great spot in the heart of downtown Redlands that dishes out some damn good Thai food. I had the red curry with pork belly, and let's just say it's slap yo momma (don't slap yo momma) type good! The pork belly was fried to perfection, the curry was creamy and flavorful, and the greens added the right amount of bitterness to the dish. The chicken fried rice was good, but seemed to be missing something, maybe add butter? I don't know, I'm no chef, ha! The mango sticky rice tasted really good, like a dessert, you know, the stuff you're not supposed to ruin your appetite with, and there was another dish which reminded me of larb, but I don't remember what it was called, but it was also good. The vibe is dope, cool, chill spot. There's a bar to get your drink on, and the staff was attentive and friendly. Covered all the things I need for a great evening. Enjoy!
Delicious food and drinks with great service. I have been here on the weekend before, and they used to have a DJ playing at night. I don’t know if they still do it, but you should check them out if you are around. If you’re looking for some good Thai food and drinks, then this place is a must.
Great food and service. The atmosphere is nice too. Good for dates or family friend hangouts. The bar is cool and they have wide selection of drinks. The food was amazing. Khao soi curry noodles were amazing and filling. Def recommended. Fried fish is good to share. Most crispy fish you'll eat. And the sauce is so good. The red curry is also good. Comes w rice and is super filling. Biggest quantity i think. Was disappointed at the pad see ew. Usually that's my fav. It was flavorless when I got it to go. Maybe I'll try it again. Mooyang Grilled pork w rice and daikon was okay. Fried rice ka pow w pork was so good and umami 👌 get it trust me. Come after 10pm for happy hour. Cocktails 2 dollars cheaper and beers 1. Foods about 2 cheaper. I loved this place and will come back. Came back. The fried pork belly was so good. Khao soi is thicker than I’m used to more soupy. It’s salty and so might need more noodles. But so good. The rice dish w beef was good flavor could use more beef tbh.

Everything I've ever had here has been delicious! Soup, laab, curry, braised pork, late-night nachos, and drinks. Service is excellent, the bartender is incredibly skilled. Love this place. One of the best restaurants in the IE.

Impressively good, finally something in Redlands that’s not a complete let down. It’s a vibe in here, Asian street food bustling environment. Service is no frills friendly and attentive. The food is phenomenal, I don’t eat a ton of Thai food but I will be working my way through the menu. The cherry on top, the pricing is super reasonable. Restaurants in Redlands are typically not good, or over priced. This is the perfect blend - killer spot, especially for Redlands, but it could hold its own anywhere.
Drinks are fantastic, if you’re a spicy person love the silk saan or phi pop. Love the moo yang, which is the pork. The chicken wings never disappoint. I used to get the Khao Soi but now obsessed with the pork. The curry was fantastic with steak too. Usually every dish is 10/10 have had a couple noodle dishes that flavor profile were a little off but those were just one offs.
Delightful food and PERFECT cocktails, kind and helpful staff, wonderfully decorated interior. Genuinely have nothing bad to say about this spot! The pandan custard is such a delightful simple dessert and I crave it often (:

When walking in here, the front area was packed and I was worried that we'd have to wait for a table but we were led to the back area with much more seating. The ambience in here is really cool, I love the Asian decor. There was so many neat pictures and trinkets to look at, and I liked the greenery they had as well. My friends and I got Pad Thais and Papaya Salad. It was good! I'd come back here to try out their curries.
Cool atmosphere with solid food! Prices are little higher for what you’re getting but that’s Redlands...that’s why I gave 4/5 stars instead of 5/5 stars. My friends who had eaten on the street in Thailand said the food tasted very close to the real deal. The service was friendly and prompt—cool vibes and a great place to just hang out. May not be somewhere to eat regularly unless you have a big food budget, but a nice place to hangout if you want to feel like you’re not in Southern California for a little bit.
This is not your typical thai restaurant. It is mostly drinking food that you would typically see at food stalls in Bangkok. The prices are kind of expensive but it is understandable after talking to one of the servers. They said that everything is made in house and they get fresh local deliveries on their meats and veggies every other day. With that being said, you can taste the quality of the ingredients in the food. The pork belly and chicken wings was delicious. It comes with sticky rice and a side of a sauce made of fish sauce, ginger and garlic. They are usually on happy hour which is from 4 - 6 pm and 10 - close. As of our entrees we got this egg omelet over garlic rice. When eating this you can tell this is drinking food. The omelet had been sprouts and green onion inside. Also it was light and fluffy. It comes with this hit tamird sauce which is actually on the spicy spicy side but it taste good. We also got the ginger chicken which tasted just like ginger and the shredded chicken was moist. The atmosphere of this place is really nice. It kind of makes me feel like I am at Bangkok. I have never been but from movies and stuff. The only thing I wish I would of got to try is their cocktails. I would highly recommend coming to this place. The only reason why I did not give it 5 stars is that a place can always improve on things. I just dont know what.
ordered a curry (pictured below) and it tasted a lot more like an indian curry than a thai curry. the wait time was long, but reasonable for the smaller venue and time of dining. we were a group of two looking for a table around 8PM on a Friday night just to provide some context. the bottled beer was delicious and so was the thai iced tea! it was one of the best thai iced teas i've had in a long time and I loved that it was made with oat milk! overall, I think that both the space and serving sizes were relatively small for the price, but I love the decor and ambiance that the business is nurturing. it's busy and the menu is pretty well rounded.
I was greeted and seated quickly at the bar. I got a Thai coconut coffee and drunken noodle with chicken. The place was very busy and the bartender was doing her best to keep up with everyone. The Thai coconut coffee was good, for some reason the coconut whipped cream was a little salty. The noodles, veggies and chicken in my dish were cooked perfectly. The vegetables still had some crunch to them the chicken was tender and the noodles kept their shape and we're not overcooked. They had some drinks I'd like to try sometime and I really want to try the fried chicken sandwich with the papaya slaw. I would definitely recommend and this was recommended to me by two different people and I'm definitely going back.
A great gem to find in downtown Redlands from the Sorry Sorry cocktail to the Pad Thai Chicken and Yellow Curry! A cozy and relax atmosphere with cool vibes. Very welcoming and friendly service. The walls are decorated with local art work, Asian decor, as well as a back area for a private party. Fun cocktails and new ones served monthly. Follow me for more places to go and see.

This place is very different! Good variety of drinks. Open late with live music. Although I received great service and enjoyed my beer, the food was just okay. I guess I would have liked some spice in my food, I felt the flavors were more on the sweet side. I sat outside (big mistake) people come out of the bar next door and smoke cigarettes. I would definitely recommend waiting to sit inside. Wish this business nothing but the best ,Thanks!
Food was underwhelming, but decor, drinks and service were nice. I got the tom kha soup, red curry and khao soi. Tom kha was the best out of all 3 - would not recommend the others.
I enjoyed the vibes/decor. But the food? Meh. The fried mushroom just tasted like overly fried batter and the sauce didn’t taste like much at all. I was expecting more flavor given it was called a mango garlic aioli. The khao soi didn’t have the depth of flavor I was hoping for. Texture of the fried tofu and the noodles were good, though. But the curry itself tasted mostly only like the mustard greens. I don’t hate on pickled mustard greens - I enjoy them and I think it adds flavor profile and it’s even healthy - but for the curry to taste only like that? I ate it, but I didn’t think it was good. I didn’t think it was terrible. It was “meh”. You’d enjoy this place if you’re mostly there for the vibes. Or for the plants. They had an insanely tall monstera and fiddle fig that literally reached to the roof.

They had an insanely tall monstera and fiddle fig that literally reached to the roof.
The atmosphere here is one of the best in Redlands, especially at night. The lighting is great for a date night, not too bright with fun little lamps & stringlights. The decor is fun and trendy with lots of color and an artsy vibe. They have some great and unique cocktails which is probably their primary draw for us because the actual food leaves something to be desired. Both times we went we got a wrong or messed up order, including once where meat was used in a tofu dish for a vegetarian. When we did get the correct order it just didn't quite hit the way you want thai food to hit. They have a very veggie/vegan-friendly approach to the menu, so we believe that most or all the dishes are lacking fish sauce, maybe so vegan customers don't have to worry about this ingredient when making substitutions, which they are happy to do for you. We did very much enjoy their red curry however which was above average. So if you leave all your thai food expectations at the door & are interested in a certain take on thai food, maybe you really enjoy the food. But for us... I go for the atmosphere and the cocktails.
