We visited 8:15pm for dinner, they provided Happy Hour Special prices. Sushi quality, tastes, and services are excellent! Highly recommend!

I just happened on this place while in California for work. Oh, my! The sushi was amazing! It was very busy! That tells a lot! The Rainbow Roll was recommended by a fellow who was waiting for a to-go order. It was great! I also had a spicy tuna roll and seaweed salad. Way too much food! I have never had a seaweed salad served with a large amount of lettuce and salad dressing. Not bad, but huge! I will be back!

The Double Double Roll and Baked Salmon Roll are my favorite. But everything is always fresh and tasty. The service is always good and the atmosphere is low key and friendly.

Oh my goodness! What an excellent experience I had! My first time here, and trust me, you won't be disappointed. I had the best server ever! I wasn't sure what to get, but he made ordering super-easy and quick and was oh-so personable. The sashimi and sushi were top-notch! Ahh, the sheer memory makes me salivate! 😋 Though a trek from me, I'm definitely going back and recommend this place to everyone who appreciates high-quality raw fish and superior client service!

It's our go to for great prices on sushi and beverages. It gets pretty busy, so arrive early to get on the waiting list. Happy hour prices are from 5-7pm. The staff is very friendly & accommodating.

5 stars for the happy hour deals. 4 stars otherwise. Quick service. Conveniently located near Prospect and Torrance Blvd...food is good. Custom sushi rolls are imaginative and taste great. Make sure you go during their 2 happy hour periods if you can for much better value.

Great small sushi joint. Great happy hour menu! Drinks and most rolls are on the happy hour menu. The place isn't huge so seats fill up quick but orders come out quickly. Friendly staff and chefs. Defintely going back soon!

The prices are reasonable, and the food is excellent. The atmosphere is pleasant and unassuming. The staff are always prompt and polite.

Terrific food, probably the best sushi in the South Bay. I personally don't like that they have shifted dine-in orders/payment online, feels like tech for tech's sake, it doesn't improve the dining experience. Edit: they have reverted the payment methods, the aforementioned online pay still possible but now you can also get a bill and give them your credit card.

This place has a great lunch and dinner happy hour. 1 roll, 4 pieces of sushi or 4 pieces of California Roll or Spicy Tuna roll for $11.95. The only negative is ot is so good and the service is so great you are in and out quickly. Great chefs, service staff and environment.

Yummy. I enjoyed my cruclnchy rolls :) and whatever the rest of our group ordered was tasty as I had to try everything :) Friendly staff and good service. If you are going for happy hour sushi make sure you go early enough. Place is very popular and gets very busy.

Last night was my first time visiting Hoka Hoka. Wow, the happy hour deals here are awesome! It’s a pretty happening sushi joint for a reason. The vibe is great, sushi is excellent and service on par. The Aloha Roll is a must try if you like spicy tuna (very spicy) and albacore! Am definitely going back.

Great sushi and service. Good happy hour deal. Cute ice cream dessert options. Fills up fast. Line out the door when they open at 5pm but everyone was seated within a couple of minutes.

I ordered the tuna and avocado roll and it was excellent, very fresh and flavorful. We also tried the tuna with cream cheese roll and the spicy tuna roll at our table, and I really enjoyed both. For dessert, we shared the coffee macaron and it was surprisingly good light, balanced, and not overly sweet. I would definitely come back. I’m Brazilian, and in Brazil rolls are not always appreciated or highlighted at restaurants, so I rarely order them there. But here it was truly worth it fresh fish, balanced flavors, and a great overall experience.

I love Hoka Hoka. I try to go whenever I get the chance to because it’s so good. The sushi is always fresh and they have a good, reasonably priced lunch special. The interior is low key, and nicely decorated. They do get busy during lunch, so plan ahead before going.

Had a couple to-go orders. Both were delicious, timely, and exceeded expectations. Seaweed salad impressed my mother and the Philadelphia Roll was a crowd pleaser. Gyoza also hit the spot.

Great little Sushi place in Redondo Beach. We had the Hoka Hoka too and it was fabu! The teriyaki sauce is really good, and the wait staff is attentive. I only have one complaint: they need more tables! I hope they grow soon! Definitely recommended!!!

This is a nice neighborhood spot.. very fast service and reasonable prices. Their special gives you a wide variety of roll choice plus 4 pcs of sushi for a great value. And they have a full menu of other choices which are pretty normal teriyaki noodles some other assorted entres.. parking is free but the small lot can get tight at peak times. Takeout is efficient your order is waiting at the door and a staff member will quickly come meet you to verify your order. This is probably the best value for pretty good quality you will find as you can do a meal for 2 on a day when you don't want to break the bank. Freshness is excellent as they are always pretty busy.

They have some beer selections on tap that’s always a plus and the sushi was amazing man. You can tell the chefs care about their customers the rolls weren’t falling apart everything that was supposed to be hot was hot and the taste was great! The only reason I’m not giving this a 5/5 is unfortunately it is a little cramped but man give this place a try and eat some DAMN GOOD sushi!

I found this sushi to be subpar to a traditional sushi place. Honestly the quality of Nijiya is way better. The rolls were falling apart and the strange colored rice did not work with the fish. The actually fish quality is just not there. It isn't fishy or smelly but the taste is not fresh and and gets covered with the strange sauces they pour on top. The tempura rolls are not good. Too many flavors overwhelmed the fish and it just strayed too far from sushi. The nigiri was way better than the rolls.

I used to go to Hoka Hoka and had been going there since 2004. I was a loyal customer for over 20 years, until they stopped taking orders over the phone. When I called to place my usual order, they refused to take my order and told me that I needed to place an online order. Being displeased with the service, I found another Sushi place instead, Yanagi Kitchen - Redondo Beach. They have a higher rating than Hoka Hoka and ordering over the phone was easy. Also their prices were better. So now I have a new Sushi place. I am glad I switched. To me, customer service matters.

I’m giving 3 stars because they recently began adding soy sauce to all of their sushi rice, which makes it no longer gluten-free. This change isn’t disclosed anywhere, so unfortunately I can’t eat here anymore. I’m really sad about this because I genuinely loved this place.

If you're gluten-free, this isn't the place. They do not have any option for real crab meat and they don't do substitutions. When I was trying to leave feedback after paying, the server took away the payment machine so that I couldn't be contacted about my experience. Our waters were filled up one time at the very end of the meal. Needless to say, I won't be back.

Unfortunately my sushi was not good. Please look the picture with extremely big amount of fat in the salmon. Taste was terrible and I was not able to eat.
