This place is a gem inside a liquor store! Wow, wow wow, the burgers were wow. The fries were wow. Salads were wow. Just impressive all around although it is in such a humble place. I loved watching the guys make the burger pads! Delicious!

Burger was delicious, it was ready just as I arrived, and I ate it at my house, so the atmosphere was just the way I wanted it!! Lol

Amaizing burgers!!!!!! This is not a sit down restaurant. This is an order inside, grab a drink and a bag of chips from the liquor store, wait outside for your order and then eat it in your car, outside picnic bench or nearby park. Regardless, the burger I ordered was probably one of the best gourmet burgers I have ever had.

Easily one of the best burgers I’ve ever eaten. I ordered the ‘Dressed’ burger and a side of truffled garlic fries. A bit pricy but well worth it. These guys easily compete with any fine dining burger spot.

This is the definition of a hole in the wall. It's a burger place. Inside a liquor store. Only accessible by a one way driveway and barely any parking. The napoleon burger and cash burger were both amazing. The fries were crispy. Our table was the trunk of my car with a towel on it and I wouldn't have it any other way. I took my sister here to give her a bit of the LA experience as she was visiting from out of town. This place is so different and definitely worth a visit.

The food was delicious (I had the breakfast burrito) and the cashier was very friendly. I will be coming again soon! Such a hidden gem.

My son is visiting from college. He has three must eat places when he’s back home and one is Standing Room. Loves it!

This is a take out place that has some seating outside and a bar inside. Maybe 4 seats inside. It’s located inside a liquor/convenient store. The burger was delicious. It was the dressed burger. The flavors went really well together and I’m not a huge blue cheese fan. It was a nice blend. I do however wish the fries came with the burger. Which is what I thought for 15$+. I also ordered the Brussels sprouts. They were nice and crispy and the sauce ontop was perfection. Definitely coming back. I took a pic of my Brussels sprouts but chowed down on the burger before remembering to take a photo. Xo

So I came in and I got the chance burger as well as the truffle fries and they were both phenomenal Some of the best burgers I ever had in the south Bay definitely recommend the spot they have good portions and the flavors are always bomb and the customer service was excellent and you could customize a burger in multiple ways and we also have a patio on the outside, but yeah, I’m definitely gonna come back!

The legendary original Standing Room is still as good as ever with creative ornate burgers and plates that will keep you coming back for more. You can add short rib, extra patties, and all sorts of things to customize the burgers. They also have chicken, soft shell crab, pork belly, salmon and the list goes on. The quality of the food here is excellent, fresh and delicious every time. Sides here are done right too... brussels, SP fries are money. Their quesadilla is so rich and flavorful.. the kind of meal that you need a nap after. You order inside the liquor store then pick up at the outside window. Whatever you try here you can't go wrong.. amazing food in a cool oceanside location.. they have a few tables outside or you can go across Catalina and eat in the park. This Standing Room is a must try for the tradition and the great grub.

I got the pork belly plate, and it was capital-G Good! Excellent quality, large portions, and really delicious. Highly recommend.

There's a small bar with two bar stools inside and a couple of outdoor tables with seats in the corner of the parking lot. The menu has lots of yummy starters, lots of burger options, and Sammies. The food is delicious and portions are generous. Prices are a bit high considering it's not a sit down restaurant. As a side note, I discovered they have a larger location in Torrance. I'll probably go to that location next time. Definitely worth a try!

While the fries were exactly how I like them (thinner and more crisp) they lacked the truffle essence, so I'll probably skip them next time. The burger was perfection. Cooked just right, enough of the extras to be noticed, but not so much that they dominated or turned the burger into a fall apart mess, and a bun that was sturdy enough to hold everything together yet still so soft it was easy to consume. The entire family also loved the brussel sprouts and the grilled cheese was a winner also.

The hype is real people! Great burger (had the Cash burger). Cooked perfectly. I haven’t tried the Parmesan fries but the regular fries are just so-so. The name, Standing Room is a bit misleading - while there’s no seating inside. There is some outside. 😁

Anybody willing to do a drive 🛻🚗🚙 to find a good hamburger joint that they can talk about for years to come for this is your location📍. This burger with the🍟 fries and the meat and the barbecue🍖 meat I think they call it the "Napoleon". The truffle parmesan🧀🍟 fries alone that was connected to it was a mouth-watering sensation. Only thing I wish I had was some good gloves to enjoy this meal lol 🤣. The second 🍔Burger was a classic and it had a fried onion ring that had bacon🥓 fried to it, both of these burgers were extraordinary and well worth the drive to taste this unbelievable experience.

We got a Cash, Classics with bacon, deep fried brussel sprouts and truffle fries. Everything was delicious and I plan to come back to try the Napoleon burger in the future.

The Korean aioli with peppers and BBQ sauce gave the Cash burger a delightful twist, and the toasted buns were perfection, creating an ideal barrier to keep all the flavorful juices intact. The fries were delicious, keeping it simple yet satisfying for us. Keep in mind that parking might be a challenge during busy times, but there are a few spots near the store and street parking available. For those who enjoy outdoor seating, there are a few options, creating a neighborly atmosphere.

Hear me out, I don’t live here so I was just looking for a quick burger joint. but this place is inside of a market so I thought ehh it can’t be that good…. I am a burger enthusiast/snob…. This place str8 dumps on competition in LA 😍 I’ve had so many great burgers but these are just grilled and charred like no other. The bun is amazing, the edges were crisp to perfection. the extra dips and flavors like the habanero cream , just absolutely hits the spot. Oh and did I mention the bbq sauce on the “cash burger” is crazy good? Like, I’m not even a fan of bbq sauce but the subtle/mild sweet sauce was PERFECT with my burger. 9.5/10 burger joint 😮‍💨👍 and Parmesan cheese fries were fantastic . Will come back again next time I’m in town!!

The Standing Room is my go to local place for a burger. If you love spicy - the Chance with a fried egg is Chef’s kiss. Also love the carnitas fries. They leveled up their fries game over the past year or so. Preciously I would only get the burger without an order of fries as they weren’t my favorite. Fries are now an A+!

These Chefs are so conscientious in selecting the food they prepare, and maintain beautiful consistency! Each item is wonderful on its own, and then flavors are 3-D when part of a full meal! We are most grateful for the skills these young men have honed, and share with us regularly. Keep up the great work!

Nice place. Delicious fries and grilled cheese, the chicken tenders looked questionable at first and that's because they're fried like fish. The cashier was a nice guy and maybe next time we'll order something else.

It is a full take out joint and has benches beside the parking area. First I thought the order area was outside but it is actually inside the general store. Food tastes great. I thought it was a bit shady in the beginning but after having the burger (Dressed) and Truffle fries, I would have to recommend it to whoever wants burgers with a bit of Korean fusion into it.

The burgers are good, but nothing special. They need more seasoning. First time here and I still want to try all the burgers and fries.

I got the Chance burger. It comes in two flavors, spicy and very. Ha! Since I have not had a burger from here yet and do not know their definition of spicy. Turns out, it is low-medium. If you like spicy foods, go for the hot version. They have plenty of delicious sounding options, ranging from bulgogi & kimchee, to a short rib burger. I will eat everything, eventually. This is located in a liquor store and, thus, has plenty of beer or wine options to add to your delicious burger. Oh, did I mention the fries? Omg! They are similar to Burger King fries in that they are a little bit wider and thicker than McDonalds fries, but they are fresh, crispy on the outside, and fluffy on the inside. Get em!

They're famous for their burgers but I wanted to try their plate lunches and got their fried chicken. Although it was a big piece of white breasts as oppose to a couple of dark pieces, it was still moist and delicious. I'm going to try their salmon next time.

Counter located inside the convenience store, but was simple to order online, and ready at the allotted time for easy pickup. If you want a beverage, you'll have to purchase at the convenience store counter separately. The burgers were delicious and done medium well, but suffered somewhat from a lot of competing flavors (we tried the Dressed and Hapa burgers). Next time, I'll try something a little simpler to appreciate the innovative ingredients used here. The fried egg is a decadent touch, but a mess to eat! We both really liked the Parmesan fries - super crispy and good flavor.

The burger I got was the Dressed burger. I am a fan of blue cheese and the sauces they layered the burger with. The meat was well cooked and the bun was amazing. I think for flavor, this place packs an awesome punch. I didn't give it 5 stars mainly for size of burger. For the price, with no fries, I was left still able to eat another full burger. Seating inside was very limited and can see how eating here during rush hour would be no fun si ce Its in a convenient store. It's definitely hot a cool vibe though. I am sure their other burgers are amazing, but for me it has to have the whole nine yard. Great job Standing Room for a great burger!

Burger on the thicker side, which isn't my preference. I like smash style more. Got the Classic burger w egg and bacon added. Was reasonably expensive. The fries need a smaller size. $5 for regular fries is a lot of money and they were way too big for 1 person. They were absolutely excellent fries though. Whole meal was over $20 which is a fair bit for a place where you gotta eat outside in a car park or take away.

Had the napoleon, absolutely massive burger. Can easily feed 2 or three. The parm fries were good but the burger itself, besides being massive, was not all that much quality wise. I prefer smash burgers, so the fat patty didnt help. Flavor was just not there overall, the brisket also mid. Took almost 25mins to get the burger. Imo proudly serving makes a much better burger.

The 1 Star is for the guy (I assume he is Korean) who works behind the cashier counter. I have been purchasing lottery tickets at this location for sometime. This guy’s attitude towards me has been impatient, never polite. I thought perhaps he had a hard day, so the next time I made sure that I was polite. Today this guy had the same attitude towards me, but he was very polite to the next customer who was a white man. I usually am not sensitive about my Asian female background, but this guy made me feel that I have been discriminated strongly. I’ll never visit this business again.
