Good & tasty & fresh food with lot of choices, friendly & cordial staffs. Have a verity of pan cakes with load of choices & different sides. Their hous specials are really good. This place is neat & clean. The restroom is also very clean & well maintained. They serve dine in & take away both. This place has wheel chair access. Spacious sitting capacity for big groups also have small tables for two. A very good pan cake place which can meet the choices of every one of the family. I recommend this place for kids, youths & adults for breakfast or lunch or dinner. Good job team!

The crowd on Sundays is heavy so expect a wait... But it's VERY worth it. The food was excellent (I loved my chocolate chip pancakes) and the service was attentive even though the place was super busy. Great place to stop in if you're in the area.

I went by myself on my birthday. My husband had to work☹️. I had a wonderful time . I had a pot of Earl Grey accompanied with heavy cream. I ordered the 12 dollar pancakes with a sunny side up egg, home fries extra crispy with no onions, a side of sausage links, and a side of bacon. No rush I had a two top to myself. I did order my hubby sourdough pancakes to go.

Love the Apple Pancake and the Dutch Baby! The other food is good, solid comfort breakfast fare, but the Apple and Dutch pancakes are what makes this place famous and worth the drive and the wait. If you've never been, go! If you've been, you know. Weekends you can expect busy and noisy and a wait list. I liked their corned beef hash too. Do NOT call this place an IHOP, because it ain't no IHOP, and it's a whole lot better!

Oh my God this place is over the top with the food portions. The pancakes were the size of a round place mat. When she ordered just pancakes I was curious, she said just wait. When the pancakes and Canadian bacon arrived I wanted to invite more people to join us. This is as close as you can get to all-you-can-eat without them advertising it as such. Great value!

We stopped here on our way to Disneyland from Santa Monica. Great food, huge menu. We split the Dutch baby pancake, it was delicious. I also had eggs, which they gave me a huge portion. The fresh strawberries were pricey but good.

The Original Pancake House in Redondo Beach is one of our absolute favorite breakfast and brunch spots. This place is pure heaven, especially for my 7-year-old son, whose love for pancakes knows no bounds – he'd probably eat them for every meal if he could! Thankfully, their children's menu wisely includes a half order of his beloved chocolate chip pancakes, which makes him one happy camper. And speaking of pancakes, the name doesn't lie – their selection is incredible! I've counted about 20 different kinds, which means there's always something new and delicious to try. While my son is a predictable fan of anything chocolate, I love upgrading my usual order to one of their signature pancakes. My personal favorites are the coconut pancakes, the vibrant fresh strawberry pancakes, and for a savory twist, the bacon pancakes. Beyond the glorious pancakes, their omelets are equally fantastic. You really can't go wrong with either the classic ham or bacon omelet. If you're leaning a bit healthier, their fresh vegetarian or mushroom omelets are also delicious and satisfying choices. My wife, for her part, has been completely hooked on their homemade corned beef hash during our last couple of visits. It's a rich blend of corned beef, potatoes, onions, and heavy cream, perfectly topped with two eggs cooked any style. And the best part? It comes with four of their famous potato pancakes, served with a choice of applesauce or sour cream. It's truly a hearty and flavorful dish. Just FYI, she never finishes it and usually eats about half and saves the other half for another meal. One of my favorite things about The Original Pancake House is their attentive staff. They seem to make it their mission to top off your water or coffee before you even have to think about it. I absolutely love places that do that – no awkward waving down a server just to get a refill! Now, if you're feeling adventurous or just want something extra special, you absolutely must try their Dutch Baby. This oven-baked pancake is served with whipped butter, a squeeze of lemon, and a dusting of powdered sugar. It's big enough to share, light, airy, and utterly delicious. Seriously, try it at least once – you won't regret it! The food is consistently fantastic, the atmosphere is cozy, and it's simply a joy to start our day here. Hands down, the best restaurant for pancakes. They have the biggest variety of pancakes in the South Bay. Dutch pancakes, American pancakes, waffles, and much more. You can’t go wrong! Come early or be ready to wait.

Man, I ran into this place and had a fantastic experience. When the waitress came by, I complimented her nails, and then she complimented my shirt, having The Weeknd on it. We talk for a good 2 minutes or so about how we're both Weeknd fans, and then she goes on. Of course she comes back and takes my dad's order, birthday man, and the food is great. Didn't take long at all for the food to come out. Bacon is good as always, AMAZING, lots of eggs on my plate, but the pancakes were kind of small. Regardless, the taste was great as usual. However, she heard me say "after you, Birthday boy" when my dad ordered, and then she brought him a chocolate strawberry pancake with ice cream on top. Everyone around us began to say happy birthday as well, including another man who shares the same birthday. Loved that waitress, the food was affordable and tasty, and the atmosphere was great. 10/10 experience

We were here several times and always ordered the apple pancake. It is so good and so much that we can barely finish it. This time we also ordered the potato pancakes and strawberry french toast. Both items were good, too, but the apple pancake is still our favorite here.

Wow! Don't let the prices fool you. The pancakes are outstanding. These dishes can be shared as they are giant. I had the baked apple pancakes and loved them. Other in my party had the strawberry pancakes, and they looked amazing.

I grew up in Torrance and never knew this place was here! The food was delicious, fresh and service was fast. Definitely coming back.

Waiter was Johnny on the spot. He also had good hearing,even when walking away from the table and my husband said he will ask him for something. The guy pivots to the storage and brings it right back. My husband said he really enjoyed the omelet. I really liked they bring you a basket with assorted tea and a kettle with hot water when you order tea.

It has really warm and comforting things to enjoy inside The Original Pancake House in Redondo Beach where I visited with someone. The place feels really lively and welcoming there in a way that teenagers would enjoy a lot. The pancakes and other foods that I ordered, like the fluffy stacks that looked almost cartoonish, didn’t cost anything extra beyond the menu price at all. By my surprise, the food looked completely picture‑perfect and fun even though it was just breakfast, which makes it perfect for teenagers who love taking photos of their meals. It is a new restaurant to me but I didn’t realize how much there was to enjoy there until I sat down inside. I really appreciated how easy it was to have fun eating there without feeling rushed. I never doubted that the experience was going to turn out the way I hoped it would. I only visited The Original Pancake House in Redondo Beach one time in my life before I made this review. It was one of the most enjoyable and comforting breakfast places I’ve been to in a long time, and I would highly recommend that even teenagers go there because it gives them a place to enjoy good food, take pictures, and feel relaxed. I saw a lot of other teenagers there during my visit, and it made the whole place feel even more teen‑friendly and inviting.

Probably the best pancakes I’ve ever had. This place is always packed but it isn’t that hard to get seated. The service is always on point and the food usually comes out very fast. I usually order the 49er pancakes which are always soft, gooey, and delicious on the inside and crispy on the outside. I also order the corned beef hash which is pretty good and not overly salty. Overall, I have yet to find a pancake restaurant as good as this and would absolutely recommend this place.

Great old fashioned honest place with good fresh food and enthusiastic staff. Standard menu , as expected, but made fresh and to order. Strawberries were, for instance, as good as you can get them at the farmers market. The size of the pancakes is usually bigger than one can handle, and consequently, you're bringing some for an afternoon snack, and no, I'm not complaining at all. Service is extremely fast, courteous, and truly friendly. No specific recommendations as everything looks yummy indeed. Njoy if you're in the neighborhood.

SIMPLY WOW!!!! Okay, I gotta be honest that I am not a big fan of pancakes. But this place will be the ONLY place that I would eat pancakes. All other pancakes really disappointed me simply because there were nothing special about them. I mean… pancakes are just sweet watery dough fry, right? I don’t know what this place is doing to pancakes but they are BOMB!!!!! And there were so many variations that it really shocked me!!! I can’t exactly remember what the plate’s name is but it was something like German platter. TRY IT!!! DELICIOUS!!! (A fair warning though: they charge you for everything. If they offer you more coffee, it’s not a free refill. It’s another cup of coffee order you need to pay. Watch out.)

We went for brunch, haven't been here in long time so forgot how busy they get. Put our name down and waited about 5mins while looking through the menu, then we got seated right away. The server was fast and attentive, we got our order right away. I ordered the Mushroom Omelet (huge!!!) and my daughter order the Strawberry pancakes. We were able to finish everything so packed some pancakes togo. Everything was delicious, we really enjoyed our Sunday brunch, will be back soon!

I thought the food was good but I would have like for there to be more combination plates on the menu. The seating is very tight and the noise level pretty loud with a full house. Overall though a good breakfast option.

I feel like it is most beneficial to talk to your waiter or waitress before ordering. Our ideas of what the dish would be like would have been extremely disappointing had we not asked what it would be like. There is ALWAYS a wait! The food is great and you do get a lot but pricey because they sell everything separate. The coconut pancakes were amazing. I didn't care for the tropical syrup...it tasted like bitter orange peel. The Apple Pancakes were (in my opinion) lacking in flavor and it was so thick, the center was a little undercooked and the bottom was thick and hard. It could be nice to have some brown sugar crumble on top, kind of like an apple pie.

Everything was clean, staff are all nice and very helpful. Buttermilk pancakes was good as well as the Hash cornedbeef with potato pancake! Spacious parking available!

Great place for getting breakfast food, I would recommend trying their pancakes. I got the corned beef hash with buttermilk pancakes and wasn't dissapointed. Can't imagine how good the flavored pancakes must taste! The only wierd thing was that my friend's orange juice cost 5 dollars, seems expensive for a glass of juice.

All in all one of my favorite spots. Just got quite expensive. Paying extra 5,50 for some strawberries and 2,50 for a sliced banana as topping for a pancake is in my opinion quite a lot. Other than that, very nice and friendly staff, good food, free parking for customer's. Maybe a charging station for EV's would be great.

We went on a Saturday morning. It was busy but no wait for party of two. Service was good and food came out fresh and hot. It was delicious. Tables are placed close together. Bathrooms were clean. Parking lot was full but there’s additional parking in the back.

I show up around 10:25pm, the parking lot was almost full, I easily found parking in the back, people didn't want to walk(lazybones). I was told it would be a 25 minute wait- and it was, I passed the time inside listening to awesome music, the time flew by because I was also talking to the elderly. I get seated, I went alone, and I ordered my bacon and eggs and was able to sub the 3 pancakes for 6 silver dollar pancakes at no additional charge because it's the same amount of batter. My meal was delicious and savored every bite. I ordered a side of crispy American fried potatoes aka hash browns; the hash browns are thick and fluffy and flavorful. I recommend sharing the hash browns. When I was finished eating I looked around for several minutes, ten at most, trying to find my food server, but she disappeared. Eventually she came back and I paid and thanked my pal for recommending this place to me. I will be going back and getting silver dollar pancakes with eggs and sausage (no hash browns).

My fav is the Hash and when in season the strawberry pancakes! During the week there is no wait and plenty of parking.

It's the 1st time my bf & I ate at this Ihop for breakfast the Atmosphere was gloomy & Out of date & The prices we're higher than other local places we've gone to for breakfast & The service was just Okay! Weve had better food & Paid better prices elsewhere!

Love love love this place! I will absolutely continue to support and promote this place because it’s good and the staff is always on point. I’m just here to tell you a side of mushroom sherry sauce is $4.25 for about 3 oz.

Server was nice, food was good but the host was not nice.

The food was good but not what I expected. I had been here before and gotten the wonderful chocolate chip pancakes. This time I tried the apple pancake. It was closer to an omelet with apple on top. The "pancake" tasted exactly like scrambled eggs. It was ok, just felt mislead.

I had eggs (cooked perfect, I'm picky), thick slices of Canadian bacon & an English muffin. My husband ordered eggs Benedict & it had the absolute worst hollandaise sauce that could possibly be served. The restaurant is so noisy you can hardly hear to place your order. We won't be back.

Corn beef hash with potato pancakes were great and quantity was enough to take home. My husband ordered the Dutch Pancake which is like the German Pancakes at other places. We also ordered chocolate pancakes for the kids. Coffee was great. Why only three stars? 1 reason is can drinks so no free refills when the expectations now a days is that everybody has fountain drinks. Reason 2 is price. It was a dollar per slice of bacon for the side of bacon. You get only 4 pieces so for a kids meal of pancake, chocolate milk and bacon came out to amounts higher than adults meals. Reason 3 the chair u sit on. Yes it’s petty but as a female with a purse in tight sitting position on tables close together u have do place to put a purse. Select chair that has a solid back so that any purse does not go through the back or has a little extra on the risers to hold the purse up. It’s a small little detain but makes a difference if I’m worried about my purse on my lap or on the floor.

I was so disappointed. The food looked great, but there was so much salt in the potato pancakes and the corned beef hash. Also, I ordered the bacon pancakes, which were supposed to have bacon inside the pancakes. All they did was put bacon on top of them.

Food is horrible especially for the price- pancakes are better at ihop, it’s nothing special here. please don’t come here it’s not worth your life.

Good service and good food but for breakfast for a family of 4 is too much money. $72 that wasn't including the tip the could have been 2 dinner meals was shocked at prices. No refills when you pay almost $4 a drink wow.

The crepe was awful. Mushy. And the holandaise sauce was disgusting. Potato pancakes were OK. The restaurant was ridiculously loud.

On Monday, September 16, 2024, we arrived at approximately 12:40 p.m. at this exact location. The hispanic female waitress was excruciatingly rude, when my partner asked for straws, she took a long time to bring the straws, and when she finally brought the straws, she didn't give him the straws in his hands. Instead, she threw the straws on the table with a nonverbal, hateful, and hesistant attitude, as if it were so difficult to bring straws. She also took an extremely long time to bring the food out that the food was no longer, at least warm. Usually, when the other waitresses bring the food out, the food is hot, but today, the waitress brought the food cold, not even at least warm. In summary, on September 16, 2024, we had an unpleasant dining experience at approximately 12:40 p.m. due to the poor service provided by our Hispanic female waitress. Notably, she displayed a hateful and hesitant attitude when providing straws, ultimately throwing them onto the table instead of personally handing them over. Furthermore, she took an extended time to bring out the food, resulting in the food being cold, unlike previous experiences with other waitresses who provided hot food.

Food was dry, tasteless. Expensive! Could have gotten same at a Fast Food Joint.

As we got sat at restaurant they asked for our drink orders and we both requested water and coffee. We receive our drinks and to our surprise one of the water cups and one of the coffee cups had fresh lipstick marks. When telling the waitress there was 0 apology or empathy for the situation. We ended up leaving but prior to asked to speak with the manager to inform them of the negligence and unsanitary experience. Their excuse was that lipstick these days are a lot stronger and last longer and sometimes cups need a harder scrub after being clean and sanitized. After making up an excuse for this they then offered to comp the meals we never even received. We did not need our meals to be paid for we just wanted management to be aware of what happened but they seemed as if they had other important things and just rushed the conversation.

I am a Truck Driver so I did not have the luxury of eating at this particular location. I ordered on Uber Eats and spent $27.73 on the French Toast, Bacon and Eggs. It took about 10 minutes to receive my order. As pictured is how it came, it as warm but by visual presentation it was not worth eating, especially the bacon and French toast. I gave the food away to a stranger and ended up ordering from Country Kitchen.
