Awesome new spot in Riviera Village. Stopped in yesterday for a lunch meeting and had the Turf Bowl with asada which was amazing. The table next to me ordered the surf & turf burrito, so I came back today to try it. It was as just as good as I hoped it would be. Also ordered the ahi tuna tacos and the flavor was just perfect. Definitely come check this place out, food and service are unmatched.
This place is amazing!! The margaritas with muddled fruit are so fresh and so good! The Caesar salad is a classic Caesar with a twist and it's seriously delicious! The dressing was my favorite part! The surf and turf burrito was aaaamazing! I've never had anything like it! Definitely recommend!
New favorite spot in Redondo! The surf turf burrito is fantastic and the presentation is fun...who wouldn't get a kick out of a burrito served on slices like sushi!
A Truly Memorable Dining Experience!* I recently had the pleasure of dining at Vida, and I wanted to take a moment to highlight the outstanding service provided by Kelly. From the moment we arrived, Kelly made us feel welcome and ensured our experience was nothing short of perfect. Her attention to detail was impeccable—she was knowledgeable about the menu, offered great recommendations, and made sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. Kelly’s warm and friendly demeanor truly elevated our dining experience, and it was clear that she genuinely cares about her guests' satisfaction. The food was very good, of course, but it was Kelly’s service that made the evening unforgettable. Whether it was refilling our drinks promptly or checking in just the right amount of times, she struck the perfect balance of being attentive while allowing us to enjoy our meal.
For me it was 5 stars today for brunch. Had the chorizo with two eggs, scrambled with the chorizo, black beans and cilantro rice. The chorizo and eggs tasted just like mi abuela used to make many years ago. Salsa has great flavor and not so much spice you can't eat, perfect. Added a Max's marg which was a pretty tasty cocktail with a lite salt on the rim. My stay here is short but I will be back before I head back to the desert southwest. Great service as well from the moment you sit down.
Out strolling Riviera Village in a Sunday and happened by Vida. Wow, the Riviera Scramble was exactly what I wanted. The eggs were cooked perfectly and and the side potatoes with sauce were perfect compliments. The toast is a work in progress, so watch for improvements there. The mimosa, sparkling clean open air seating and ambiance were a perfect brunch. Paul and Micky, the father son owners were friendly and chatted it up with familiar and unfamiliar guests. I highly recommend Vida for Sunday brunch.
My family and I have tried a variety of menu items here and the food is so good! Not only is it plated well and looks amazing visually, but it tastes as great as it looks. The chips and salsa are delicious and the brunch menu has a nice variety so if you aren’t in the mood for Mexican food, you can get brunch food! From the bowls to the churro waffle this place does not disappoint and consistently nails it each time. The ambiance is lovely and the service is excellent. You can really tell this business is well run and cared for. Very happy to find a gem in the Riveria Village and will definitely take out of town guests here to show off how great the South Bay is.
We had a great experience at Vida. Huge shoutout to our amazing server Max. I get nauseous a lot so I wanted to order a ginger ale right when we sat down - they didn’t have any, so he ran next door to get a ginger beer for me from H&P. It was so kind, and much appreciated.
Man oh man.. this place is has the package presentation and flavor I ordered on line and never take time to leave a review but when I received my meal I could smell the deliciousness out my bag. I took out items and I couldn't wait to dig into the food it looked so good in the box. Once I took a bite of everything, I shared with a friend and we both melted in to seats from the guacamole, esquito , the mushroom, the shrimp tacos
Perfection! Excellent salmon salad. Luxurious leather booths. Clean, elegant, upscale atmosphere. Generous portions, yet very moderate prices. Ask for Juan. He’s so gracious and so much fun!
We enjoyed a delicious lunch here! Beautiful spot with outdoor seating, creative and expansive menu. The co-owner, Mickey, made sure to check on us frequently after a very minor mix-up with our ordering. My steak tacos were beautifully plated with an authentic & flavorful chimichurri sauce. Overall, great food, beautiful setting and fantastic personal service!
I had lunch here on St Patrick's day. Our server, Lou was very nice, super efficient and took great care of us. I had cheese enchiladas with rice and beans. The enchiladas were delightful. You have a couple of choices on they rice and beans , which is a welcome break from the standard. They were really tasty too. The food was really hot when served, which I love. Thanks Lou and all staff for a great lunch. I will be back!
Delightful spot for modern Mexican cuisine in the heart of Redondo village. Fried shrimp taco was excellent. I liked it more than the octopus taco. Atmosphere is comfortable with good service and nice seating options. Prices are reasonable.
excellent service from the owner - Justin, to the mixologist director - Ken, and a service staff headed by Kelly. very attentive, very friendly.
Great spot to get fresh food after the game. I love how we can order single tacos to allow us to try the different flavors.
Chips with the Tajin sprinkled on it with the salsa 🤤 drool! And then with the guacamole was great!! Had the white sangria / jalapeno margarita with the tajin on the rim - you could not go wrong. The Asada was good, but for me, it could have had a bit more flavor, so I put salsa on it and that worked. The Chicken Tinga was excellent for the other 2 orders. The staff was very friendly and nice. Make a reservation otherwise you either wait a very long time or you're not getting in, it was packed on a Thursday! A must stop.
Enjoyed a relaxing outdoor brunch at this popular Mexican restaurant in the Torrance Hollywood Riviera. We picked a nice corner spot with partial shield under the umbrella. It’s a dog friendly restaurant but we wanted to be away from others with our young puppy. The food came fairly quickly, we highly recommend the Octopus Ceviche if you like octopus. I had the Wednesday Burrito special, and my wife had two tacos specials with Asadas. Both were delicious. Our server, Anthony, was prompt and friendly, multiple other servers stopped by multiple times made you feel welcome and made sure we have what we needed.
This was an amazing meal! The tacos were fantastic, and the service was wonderful by Ms Dallas. I am new to the area and wanted to try some tacos, and this place was an amazing choice! Highly recommend 👌🏾
The service was very friendly. Indoor dining limited tables but there’s more outside dining with heater lamps. Everyone was friendly and gave great service. Food was good too. Definitely worth it to check out.
Went here for dinner and loved it! We sat on the patio and they have plants separating tables. The service was really quick, efficient and friendly. I really enjoyed the tajin on the chips. We all loved what we ordered and definitely would want to go back! We started with birria tacos (we ate it too fast for a pic) and those were the biggest hit.
I tried Vida for my birthday and it provided a nice vibe. They also served me a churro with ice cream and chocolate for the special occasion. The decor is inspired but still very fun and comfortable. The food was good and at times even inventive which makes up for a slightly overpriced taco in my opinion. It’s as the adage goes, you get what you pay for & I’m concluding that Vida was worth the money.
A delicious spot for flavorful food. We popped in for lunch and ordered off the lunch menu. Lucky for me they had lots of plant based / vegan options. My husband likes to eat meat and he enjoyed his lunch. I had two plant based tacos with a side of black beans and Mexican cauliflower rice. They bring complimentary chips and salsa. Their salsa is fresh and delicious, and their chips crispy and warm. We were there for lunch so we didn’t order cocktails. But they have a DELICIOUS cocktail menu. We noticed they have also have a happy hour - so we might come back next sunset bike ride Nice addition of a modern Mexican restaurant in Riviera Village.
I came to VIDA to celebrate my birthday, and it was everything I hoped for—and more—thanks to Dallas, our incredible server and bartender. She went above and beyond to make the night special, delivering top-tier service with warmth, personality, and attention to every detail. To top it off, she surprised me with complimentary churros and ice cream for my birthday, and it truly made my night. It’s rare to come across someone so thoughtful and genuine. Dallas, thank you for making my celebration unforgettable. VIDA is lucky to have you!
I was in Redondo for Vida’s grand opening this past Tuesday and had such a great experience! We ordered the surf & turf burrito which is rolled like a burrito, but sliced like sushi. They even have chopsticks for you to eat the “sushi like” burrito. Really delicious and a fun, enjoyable dish. The tuna tacos were bomb and the esquite grilled corn was fire too. The outdoor patio had a great energy to it and the interior was beautiful and brand spanking new. Modern Mexican food done right.
Great spot for happy hour! We sat down and got chips & salsa brought to the table. Such great chips with tajin! Delicious margs. Loved all the gluten free taco options, and the guac was delicious. Awesome spot for people watching too - would definitely go back.

It's such a cute area. Lots of restaurants on the strip. This place has good food and service. Blue corn tortillas were tasty.

The turf bowl was SO GOOD and chips, salsa, guacamole were lovely. Had a margarita that was nuts. My partner had the surf and turf and the Out of Office marg which was also fantastic. The aesthetic and bathroom also great. Marked this as a favorite (and I'm kind of picky ;))
We went for the Happy Hour and came out very happy. They have amazing daily specials and happy hours to go with. Their House Margaritas (Max's Mary) is solid. Comes in single at for $8 or $12 for double, get the Double! It's heck of a deal and good quality too.

Another Sunday Grub-day to add to the list. Quick stop to get a bite, sampled a few things on the menu and by far the favorite dish was the surf n turf burrito. The chicken tinga was tasty, cinnamon carnitas were interesting and the rest was pretty basic, could have used some seasoning for more flavor but overall not bad. There are a few more items I definitely want to try so I will be back.
Great Shrimp tacos; the tempura battered shrimp is worth the drive. The service tends to be slow. Several times that I've been, I had to ask for my waiter to take our order. Twice the food hit the table before the margaritas (like 20 minutes no drink service; this needs work). Overall good food, nice atmosphere, just slow service.
Pozole was 5/5 Benedict 3.8/5 Spicy Shrimp Ceviche 4/5 Overall good food. Fresh mexican food with a modern flair. Pozole was the overall star of our meal.
Went yesterday. Parking on the main street was challenging, but manageable. Comfortable interior, outdoor seating available, and heat lamps throughout. Service was friendly and attentive. We ordered margaritas and a mix of entrées. I chose a taco-fajita style bowl and asked for a few substitutions to make it fully vegetarian, which the kitchen accommodated without issue. Others at the table ordered fish and chicken, and everything was solid across the board. Portions felt reasonable and satisfying. The menu is extensive, with clear vegetarian options, some vegan choices, and gluten-free items. For three entrées and three drinks, the total came in under $100, which feels fair for a sit-down, semi-casual spot right now. Overall, a good alternative to fast-casual Mexican places when you want table service, flexibility, and a relaxed dinner without turning it into a big night out.
Went here for a date night with my husband. The hostess and waiter were nice. The margarita was really good. We got the esquite as an appetizer and it tasted good but there were many pieces of the cob mixed in with the corn that we had to spit out. My husband said his tacos were good but he wished they came out hot. My cheese enchiladas were good and I could tell the black beans were made fresh and not from a can. The tempura cauliflower taco tasted good, the salsa on top was really good, I also wish it was a bit hotter though. I appreciated the vegetarian selections!
Stopped by Vida today for lunch and were greeted by Will and Dillon. We started with margaritas and chips and then ordered our lunch entrees. We both decided on chicken enchiladas with refried black beans and Spanish rice. Very good. It was a bit chilly so they set up a heater at our table. Very good service and food. Recommended.
Great place close to Redondo beach for brunch. They have patio and indoor seating. Attentive service and tasty vegetarian brunch options. The bubble churro waffle was delicious. The breakfast burrito and the Riviera scramble were really good too.
This was a cute little place in the fun area of Redondo Beach. You got ceviche, three tacos and guacamole. Everything was pretty good. This ceviche with a little plain but they're sure was a ton of it! The drink was decent, and the service was friendly. It didn't blow my mind, but it was worth going to!

We spent a late afternoon walking along the beach and decided to meander to Riviera Village for a bite to eat. We noticed Vida Modern Taqueria and decided to give it a try as one of the more recent additions to this area, and it has outdoor seating. We were seated right away, and we're probably brought some chips and salsa, which are quite good. Our server was friendly, helpful, and answered all our questions. I ordered a Nuts and Bolts cocktail, a take on a paloma (which I normally love), and I had trouble finishing it, as it had a strange aftertaste. We then ordered the Peruvian scallop ceviche (very good, but very pricey) and several tacos between the two of us: cinnamon carnitas, al pastor, Alaskan cod, tempura nopales, and chicken mole. Our tacos arrived first, and we had to ask about the ceviche before it arrived several minutes later. The quality of the food was quite good, albeit the cinnamon carnitas were a bit too sweet for our taste. The tempura nopales are definitely worth a try. The tacos are large and very filling. Two per person is plenty considering you get the chips and salsa as a starter, and we would have been fine without the ceviche. We did find room for churros and ice cream to finish our meal. These were good, but again, pricey for what you get. Overall, the quality of the food is very good, but considering the price, I would reserve it for a smaller lunch (and skip the cocktails). I may give another try and update my review.
Decent place but nothing to write home about. Grilled shrimp tacos were good, asada tacos were overcooked and a bit flavorless, didn't like the fried lobster tacos (tasted funny), and the chicken tacos were ok. The free chips and salsa were great! Service was decent. The ambiance was casual and airy.

We got shafted on the drinks. Taco Tuesday and Happy Hour; Max's margarita $9 - delicious. Tacos, delicious. My friend asked if the Mixed Drink section, where it said she could have vodka for $8.00 would cover a Martini. Max said yes, but it would be a 2 oz pour rather than a 3 oz. pour. Ok. So she decided to have a second one. The other guy behind the bar did a 3 oz pour - ok; so why were her martinis charged at $17.00 each? When we questioned it, they both said they weren't charging us for the extra ounce but they did not change the bill from $17.00 each to $8.00 each. We stupidly left them a tip, which I wish we didn't. Felt like we got shafted. Won't be back. EVER. Oh! And they said a Martini is usually $24? What? Who pays $24 for a martini? Definitely won't ever be back.
Rice wasn’t cooked throughly, it was crunchy. This is not authentic or even near similar to mexican food. Our waitress moved incredibly slow that we had to ask other workers multiple times for assistance. Overall the atmosphere is nice, but the food is just so bad.
