Comimos de maravilla en La Sauceda de Buelles. Probamos los tortos de maíz (picadillo con morcilla, jamón y queso de cabra, y cuadrados de tomate), los torreznos de Soria y el espectacular cachopo de concurso. Y no olvidéis el postre, para el siempre hay hueco. Todo estaba buenísimo, raciones generosas y atención muy cercana. Sin duda, un sitio para repetir y recomendar. 😋🤗

Estupendo restaurante en un entorno idílico para disfrutar de auténtica comida asturiana con producto local. Hemos notado ya que no es la primera vez que acudimos que no notamos diferencia entre platos de menú y raciones de carta( considero que las raciones de carta deberían ser más grandes) también hemos notado que han reducido en tamaño los tortos, por lo demás acudir no os va a defraudar.

A genuine surprise and highly recommended. We had fabada (Asturian bean stew), tortos (corn cakes), and cachopo (breaded and stuffed veal cutlet), finishing with a spectacular pot-brewed coffee, and the experience was a 10 out of 10. For a small town where seemingly "there's nothing," it's incredibly surprising to find a restaurant with so many awards… and, most importantly, they are completely deserved. The fabada was perfect, one of the best we've ever tasted, and the cachopo was spectacular. Furthermore, a key point worth highlighting is their attention to those with celiac disease: even the cachopo is gluten-free, something that is greatly appreciated and not at all common. You can taste the care, the quality of the ingredients, and the expertise in every dish. Without a doubt, a restaurant that deserves support and recognition. We will return and recommend it without hesitation.

Great place, great atmosphere. We had fabada (Asturian bean stew) and croquettes as starters. For our main courses, we had cachopo (breaded and stuffed veal cutlet) and escalopines (veal escalopes). The meat was so tender it fell apart and it was perfect. For dessert we had: a very creamy and delicate lemon tart, goat cheesecake, and strawberry ice cream with cream.

Everything was great, from the service to the food and the atmosphere. I ordered the potatoes with egg and chorizo, and they were fantastic, no complaints whatsoever. My companions ordered the fabada and cachopo set menu, and from what they told me, it was also perfect. For dessert, I ordered the regular cheesecake, and it was quite good. They also ordered the cheesecake with Cabrales cheese, and I didn't like that one because of its strong flavor, but if you like strong flavors, go for it. In short, everything was wonderful, highly recommended.

A €30 set menu started with a delicious torto (a type of flatbread). The Asturian fabada (bean stew) was excellent and plentiful. Next came cachopo (breaded and fried veal or pork cutlet) with fries. It wasn't huge, but it was a nice addition. A piquillo pepper would have been a welcome addition. For dessert, we had a traditional egg custard. A glass of young wine from the Ribera del Duero region was a pleasant surprise. The bread was absolutely delicious. The wine list is very interesting. The service was excellent. You can choose another set menu with fabada and kid goat for the same price. We left very happy and will recommend it.

We opted for the sauced menu to try both the cachopo and the fabada, and it was a great choice. We were pleasantly surprised by the toasted starter, and the fabada is undoubtedly the best I've ever had. I also want to highlight the friendliness of the staff.

Fabada is a real gem. We came here without reservation on Tuesday at 15.30 and it was still really full, but the waiter let us sit outside anyway. We had the spectacular fabada that we definitely recommend. Thank you for this experience!

Excellent eatery. Small but cozy restaurant in a really small village. We ordered tortos joyicos, fabada (winner and finalist of world’s best fabada for many years) and cheesecake, paired with some wine and water. Amazing quality of the food, and the quantities were more than enough for two. And the price, 30€ total, amazing. The service from Marco was top notch. Recommended, book a couple of days in advance if it’s peak season.

We went for my husband's birthday. He loves traditional Spanish bean stews and La Sauceda came highly recommended from a student of mine. The favada and other dishes were delicious. The prices are quite accessible and the service was excellent. Although the location is a bit odd (and hard to find) it is a lovely spot for lunch in the winter. They close in for a month before Spring, so be sure to call ahead. Get an early table to avoid the rush.

We ordered the fabada + cachopo menu, which included the tortos. The fabada was spectacular, the cachopo was more ordinary. It must be said that the championship cachopos weren't included in this menu; they were a bit smaller for one person. We were very surprised by the mushroom and ham cachopo, which wasn't breaded, a great idea. Overall, everything was delicious! ✨

Lovely hidden away restaurant, great food, very nice inside and mostly nice staff. The food is very good but the written menu could be improved because unless you are local it's not clear what some items are, and the explanations we were given on the night didn't help very much either even though we had native spanish speakers with us so if you are not a Spanish speaker good luck 😂. As an example although the Ensalada Mixta was indeed a mixed salad but the Ensalada de tomato, cecina y queso de cabra is a sharing plate of those items and is in no way a salad! It was explained that it didnt come with lettuce but we didn't expect a row of meat slices, a row of tomato and a row of cheese slices, ie a sharing plate. This even confused the Spanish speakers amongst us. Also if you are vegetarian the options are limited but there is a fixed vegetarian menu which looks great but it has to be ordered in advance 🙄 As said above the food is very good and the restaurant very nice but our visit was not enhanced by the woman who served us as she became quite impatient when we asked questions about the menu and very defensive when she forgot something that had been ordered, but I guess we all have bad days 😉 Overall though worth a visit but remember Google translate may not help you here

We went there for fabada and were slightly dissapointed as ours came up too liquidy and on the acidic side. Quality of the ingredients was top tier though. Staff was attentive and kind.
