So far this is my favorite poke place in DFW! I love the bright clean atmosphere, no fuss menu, friendly staff and delicious poke bowls! The quality of the fish is excellent and produce is very fresh. The portions are great for the price, I've been to many other places with smaller servings, but for the same price (without the extras). The fish cuts are also huge, they definitely don't skimp on the fish! I will definitely be coming here more to try everything

Below 40 Poke House never disappoints! I’ve been coming here for a long time with my mom, my friends, and my family, and every single visit is consistently amazing. The lady who works the register is always so professional, courteous, and kind — she truly makes the experience even better. The atmosphere is peaceful and welcoming, and the food is always fresh and delicious. I’d absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for great service and an even better meal!

First time ever eating here and the food was amazing. The two women at the register were so nice as well and they seem like they enjoy what they do. The fish to rice ratio is good for a Poke shop as fish is not cheap!

Super sweet staff and the food was very fresh and tasty. The rice was firm but not hard. Price was pretty reasonable for this area for the amount of food. We ended up staying a long time just hanging out because the vibes were so good.

By looking at this place from the outside, you wouldn’t think it would be as nice inside. There are real plants all around. There’s bench seating and also some long booth seats along the wall; unfortunately, none of them are cushioned. They offer many drinks options from teas to smoothies to lemonades. We had a variety of drinks within our group and enjoyed them all. Multiple people ordered the #1 and really enjoyed the flavors and options to have rice & salad or only salad. I built my own bowl and it was delicious as well. Each of us received a miso soup with our order, which everyone really enjoyed. Fish tasted very fresh. And the workers (maybe owners?) were very friendly and welcoming.

MUST TRY!! After being completely full of the poke bowls my husband & I didn’t feel heavy at all. The food is light, delicious, & filling. The service is fast, and place is adorable!

The restaurant is large and cozy. I had the recommended poke bowl. After paying, the staff brought me a bowl of miso soup. It didn’t take long time before she returned with my poke bowl. The portion was generous, with plenty of salad piled on the top. I was surprised to find at the bottom a thin layer of sticky rice. All in all it was a good meal and very filling.

I've never tasted a seaweed salad this fresh! It's even more delicious than what you'd find in high-end Japanese restaurants. The flavors are vibrant, and the texture is perfectly crunchy. The food tastes good, especially the crab salad! but they should be renamed to Below 10 Pieces of Salmon because there were only 9 small pieces of salmon in my bowl. They asked for 2 proteins and I picked both to be salmon so I expected there to be double the amount. I asked for green onion and garlic crisps but there are barely any in there. Proportions are disappointing 😢

Ordered regular bowl with extra protein on a to-go order a while back and it came without extra protein. Tried ordering a large with extra protein to see if they’d actually add the extra protein. They didn’t. Tried ordering a regular bowl with extra protein one more time just to make sure it wasn’t a fluke. Nope, wasn’t added. Dont order to-go from here. You’ll get a bunch of rice, barely any protein and if you order extra protein you won’t get it. Bummer.

The best thing about this experience is the wonder older woman who took our order at the front. She was so sweet and patient for it to be our first time coming. I love poke. I have been to several in Dallas. We came to get two bowls to-go for dinner since we were in the area and I should have known as soon as I walked in something would be off. I personally have never been to a poke place that did not make the bowl in front of you. There was a counter and a wall that blocked the view of the bowl making process. The prices are good for the area $14 for a large bowl and it comes with 2 scoops of protein, only 1 sauce (I had to ask if I could have 2 kinds, which she did do for me), only 2 sides and then toppings. Since they don't make the bowl in sight, I didn't see it until I got home. The lady did give us some free house miso, and that is the best thing that I had. The bowl that was $14 was about half full (picture shown), the fish did not taste fresh, the rice tasted old like it wasn't fresh either and the whole bowl was so dry. I had to rummage in my condiment drawer to see what I could add to salvage the bowl. The spicy tuna is not in cubes like the salmon, but how crab meat is in a California roll. And to top it all off we both had tummy issues that night and the next morning. I do not recommend and if it wasn't for the sweet older lady, this would have been a 0 star experience.
