As a vegetarian, I often struggle to find Italian restaurants that offer more than just one or two options. Russon’s Fire Coal Italian completely impressed me! The flavors were fresh, the portions generous, and the wood-fired style made every dish taste incredible. The staff was friendly and attentive, and I never once felt limited by the menu. Easily one of the best Italian dining experiences I’ve had in the area 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼

Dina the server was amazing. Pizza was as good as pizza can be, they put it in the thing right there in front of you. The beer selection is kinda meh but whatever, they have chilled glasses. I drank a Coors light for the first time in my life tonight. Ranch was good too.

You can never go wrong with Russo's Pizza 10 out 10. They have so many yummy foods sometimes I don't know what to get.. but if your looking for some good an yummy new york / Italian pizza make sure RUSSO'S is your next stop.

Tried this place out, loved it. Walked in and was picturing a subway type of set up it’s not.Really liked the ambiance. Got a slice of pizza & garlic knots. Pizza is big but delicious and garlic knots were good the marinara sauce really good(best I’ve had) service was great. Overall great experience

Russo’s Pizzeria is an authentic spot that feels like a slice of Italy. I tried their Paneer Pizza, Garlic Knots, and Minestrone Soup, and everything was absolutely delicious. Especially, their Minestrone Soup was full of fresh vegetables and rich flavor. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make it an ideal place for a casual meal. If you’re looking for fresh, high-quality food with a personal touch, Russo’s is a must-try!

I recently visited Russo’s Italian Kitchen in Richardson and had an amazing dining experience! The menu offers a great selection of authentic Italian dishes, but what really stood out was their special pizza menu. The warm, cozy ambiance made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. They also offer outdoor seating, which is a great option if you want to enjoy your meal in the fresh air. We started with their bruschetta, which was fresh and topped with vibrant tomatoes and basil on crispy bread. Next, we had the garlic knots, soft and flavorful, and for the main course, we tried the Paneer Pizza and Veggie Pizza—both were fantastic! We also had the Greek Salad, which was fresh and flavorful, and the Baked Ziti, rich, cheesy, and baked to perfection. For dessert, the Italian Cannoli was delightful—crispy shells filled with creamy ricotta and just the right touch of sweetness. The service was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. The menu features a wonderful selection of authentic Italian dishes, with a highly veggie menu that includes great options for plant lovers. If you’re in the Richardson area and craving some good Italian food, Russo’s is definitely worth a visit! Highly recommend!

I’ve been coming here for years, and every time I remember that I should come more often. As soon as you walk in you smell tye pizzas baking in what I think is a wood oven You can see pizzas being made and baked in the oven. The crust is perfectly baked. The pizza sauce is delicious that I couldn’t resist ordering some extra on the side to dip my crust into it. Today we tried their Halal pepperoni veggie pizza, and it was delicious. As always, the service was exceptional. Hunter, the gentleman who assisted us today, is a true professional, friendly, and pleasant.

Quaint, cozy, and food was good. We got the pasta carbonara which was very tasty and soup and salad. The salad had a lot of onions, but dressing was yummy. The bread and dipping sauce were a great start to the meal. The servers were very friendly. I would recommend this place.

Russo's Coal-Fired Italian Kitchen & Pizzeria | Richardson ⭐️⭐️⭐️ For the price point, this place seriously underdelivered. First issue: nothing while you wait. No bread, no oil, no small complimentary anything. According to their own menu, focaccia bread is supposed to come with the Pasta & Speciality Items (photo of the menu stating it in review) — we never received it. That’s not a preference issue, that’s a miss. Service was weak from the start (with the upmost respect). It took way too long just to get waters — we didn’t receive them until about five minutes before our food arrived. Even worse, we were asked if we were ready to order before we’d even been there five minutes and before drinks hit the table. Food: Meal #1 Specialty Item — Spicy Chicken Alfredo ($18.95) Decent, but not worth the price. Needed more Alfredo sauce and a bit of salt. Portion size was average at best. For nearly $19, this should’ve been more satisfying. Meal #2 Pasta Item — Spaghetti & Italian Sausage ($17.95) Good, but again — small portion for the cost. Flavor was there, but it needed more depth. Nothing memorable. Overall Experience: • For what they charge, service should be on point — and it wasn’t. • Long wait for basic waters • Never checked on us • Never offered refills • Never received what’s suppose to come with the meal. • Took forever to bring the check, even after clearing our empty plates And no, the restaurant wasn’t slammed. There was one large group (around 10 people or so) and maybe 3–4 other tables with two adults each. That’s not an excuse. Total: $40 for two people, two waters, no appetizers, no bread, no complimentary anything. Bottom line: The food is okay, but okay isn’t good enough at these prices, especially when service is lacking. There are plenty of Italian spots that offer better portions, better service, and better value. Also, photos and videos are pretty zoomed in. The price point is my point for the quantity, quality and service. Might try it again in the future.

Tasteless food. Meatballs had weird taste and texture. Marinara sauce on manicotti tasted like in came from a jar, no seasoning. Salads were awful. Lettuce partly browned, dressing had no flavor. Bread tasted like sweet pita bread, not Italian at all. We did not try the pizza.

The wings were very disappointing. The individual pizza slices were huge, and good. The kids portions are tiny for the price of 9.95. The tiramisu was ok. Bottom line, overpriced for what it was. Also, the handheld devices they use are not fun. I dont need the waiter to stare at me as I select their tip. Very awkward.

$107.00 for 2 small pasta dishes, one 12 inch pizza, one side salad and garlic knots. In my opinion not worth the price at all. No seasoning on the pasta, completely missing the truffle oil on both the pasta and bread, noodles were overcooked. The portions were incredibly tiny, almost 20$ for noodles and sauce, no protein. This place used to be amazing, not so much anymore. Definitely not worth the price at all!

My wife and I were returning customers. The food was great as always. I had ordered and chicken cordon bleu pizza to go, for my son who was at home. When the check came out, the order had been put in as a regular pizza, with all the additional toppings added on with a premium. The pizza on the menu is $25.95 for the large, and we were charged $36.50 for the same pizza. I made the mistake of not reviewing the check before giving my card over. But when I showed the discrepancy to the server, I was told that the manager was too new, and did not know how to give refunds. We offered to accept another pizza, or even a voucher, but only received a blank stare. So we paid the server her tip, and had to go home without even a simple I.O.U.

I visited based on a previous review mentioning gluten-free pizza. As someone with celiac, I specifically asked about gluten-free options. While they do offer a gluten-free crust, staff were not knowledgeable about the precautions required. The cook did not speak English, and information had to be translated. I observed the same gloves being used to handle regular dough, toppings, resulting in clear cross-contamination and I was advised no fresh toppings were available.
