great experience at this location! Was really only there for my son, as he decided he needed a 'big giant waffle' before we went home to get ready for bed, but the waffle was prepared perfectly and satisfied him well! I would definitely recommend this location, as the servers were very friendly to us all and made us feel like welcome guests!!
I used to work at a different Waffle House on third shift for about a year and a half and so I know the process and everything as far as their order taking everything. Their customer service was pretty good. I needed to charge my cell phone it was almost dead and I wanted to Waffle really bad so. It was great and I love their sweet tea too so I loved it it was a great experience the cook and the servers in there that day it was on Saturday around 4:30 in the afternoon. They're all great.
Food was really good, our server got our order wrong 3 times and still wouldn’t write down the order she just kept asking us over and over then turned and repeated incorrectly multiple times
Fantastic service and very clean. The waitress was very attentive and our food was hot and fresh. There was a young man "PT" who was literally cleaning, sweeping, mopping and making sure the dining area was neat and tidy for the customers. Its the small details that will keep folks like me coming back to this Waffle House. Highly recommend!
I don’t five star restaurants often and today is the day. I stopped with my two sons to eat breakfast this Sunday morning expecting a little chaos and instead expereinced total opposite. First Waffle House I see where employees are synched and smoothly running a rush hour shift. I was promptly and very kindly seated down, my server ( older white lady) was the most kind, friendly and attentive. GO Waffle House Richardson you ROCK!

My friend and I came in to grab some good food and coffee. We received the best service from Trina. She was friendly, kept our drinks full, and got the order perfect. We will most definitely be returning to this location to see her and the overnight crew again very soon. We recommend this location to anyone. You pay for the food but stay for the atmosphere.
First time visiting. The food was amazing and the staff genuinely care about your concerns. I had somone come up to me and she was like I heard you didn't like your chicken. I felt bad because it's just me. I do not like fried chicken unless it was done by me so it was nothing personal to this restaurant. Their food is amazing and customer service is 100% authentic. You have to try their in house favorite. Not sure what it's called but I had waffles for the first time and I loved it. BTW I don't eat out.
I went there at four in the morning after my shift ended. I was starving and the waitress attended me very well. The cook however, was confused by what I meant by my eggs done in an over easy fashion so the waitress had to explain it to him for me. Overall not so bad. I also tried going there with my lover at seven in the morning but the entire restaurant was occupied. It's okay though, Waffle House is too good to be true so of course it's busy.
We stopped in Thursday night after the Stars game. Simone,.Amos, and the other young lady greeted us as we came through the door. Our food was delivered hot and as ordered. The restaurant was one of the best maintained Waffle House's we've been to and we'll go back to this one without hesitation.

Very atmospheric place. All dishes were very tasty. We waited 5-7 minutes for pecan pie, the waitress came and apologized. In the end, it was not included in the bill. It was a nice compliment. Thank you for a pleasant time.

Carlos, you set a great example in every facet . I have to give you the flowers you deserve, where customers' service isn't the first priority. I heard you training, and meeting patient as well as guiding then to stay focused on the customers service as well as their communication to each other. Especially telling the young lady to take a break and come back in and leave whatever at home AT HOME. GREAT JOB. I told my wife and she watched and listened and agreed. We'll be back definitely.

I recently visited this Waffle House location and I have to say, it's the best one I've been to in quite some time! From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the inviting atmosphere. We came to this waffle house right at lunch time, we waited about 5 minutes to be seated and chose the bar, Linda was our server and got our orders right :) thank you Linda. Got to see all the teamwork going at this location and they are really good, we need more Ms. Rita's in this world as she was the one giving the orders to the cooks and moving the team around with no problems, no need of tv/order monitors Ms.Rita is all we need! And of course a good team around her, kuddos to this waffle house, in the hour we spent here they almost cleared the whole restaurant and that's including the orders to-go! Food was delicious and coffee was hot!
I always have a good Waffle House experience, but even as a regular I appreciate the consistent service that I receive at the Richardson location on Spring Valley. Alisa and Henry were so friendly and provided amazing customer service! And my food was cooked exactly how I asked for it. While he was not working, shout out to Mr. Amos who always provides amazing customer service and good food on 3rd shift.

This is the best Waffle House in the city of Dallas! Friendly, excellent customer service, fast food, good quality, and clean bathrooms. Ms. Amy our waitress was wonderful and served us and everyone else with a warm inviting smile! I also observed how the manager worked very well with his staff. Thank you all!!
This was the best Waffle House I've ever been to. The ones in Austin aren't great and more times than not I get denied service cause there's never enough staff. But this place was fully staffed. I didn't have to wait longer than 15 for my food to get to me and our waitress constantly checked on us and making sure we were ok. The food was so good that we ate there every day while we were there in Richardson,TX because we knew we weren't going to get the service we got here in Austin,TX.
The best Waffle House I have been to in a while! This place hase a great vibe, nice and cozy. The waiters and cooks are nice, it definitely has great service! The food is amazing! Always a great experience with the staff and food. I did have this review at 5 stars. But for a month or so when I'm done working at 3 a.m. and go to grab something to eat. The place closes down because they run out of dishes. I love the employees, and I love the food, but no spoons, forks, knives, or plates. We've even switched up to where we leave and 3:30-4 a.m. (DJ life) and still no dish wear 🥺.
Was greeted immediately. Employees seem to like their job we had Amy serving us and she was perfectly attentive. We were offered several refills of coffee. Pecan waffles were good! Breakfast sandwich was Hardy hashbrowns delicious.! Coffee was good and had plenty of cream! We will be back
It was okay on this day. Cause if you go at night the workers are lazy. When you walk in the place is empty but most of the booth had piles of dirty dishes. The workers were just sitting down. They didn't even greet me when I came in I had to get my own manu. So I left and came back a week later but this time I went earlier in the evening it was very clean. The lady greeted me time I walked in she handed me a menu. She was very nice and clean. I told her that the store looks good compared to when I came week ago. My order was hot and correct. I left the lady a nice tip.
Consistently great food. This place has a great team of employees that work together great and makes the visit enjoyable even when there is take-out only available. It's strange to see a Waffle House at 2:00am on a Saturday morning empty except for 2 employees (6 feet apart) and patrons (6 feet apart) getting their orders To-Go, but they keep it rolling here with smiles in their eyes.
Quick service, consistent food, could be a little cleaner. Friendly waitress. Reasonable price. They were wearing masks and so we're most of the guests when not eating but the place was packed. No social distancing as they would decrease their seating by 50%.
It's a waffle house, it's always great but there's always better. Ash was the best she was on top of it, while also ringing people up... I felt the lady calling out the food orders was hard on her, but she still smiled through it! I hope if you go, you get her! Her smile is contagious!

Waffle house is great, but at the time of my visit, it seemed the cook walked out of his job and left the 2 servers alone. Luckily, it wasn't busy at the time. Food was kinda warm, not hot. Of course, service was impeded due to the walk out. I'll still go back. 😁
Waffle House is a chain but it is incredibly predictable. My scrambled eggs with cheese are exactly the same at every restaurant and I like their way of cooking a lot. Their prices have gone up a LOT in 2025 but it's still a favorite place of mine.

EXTREMELY SLOW SERVICE. Had to wait almost 30 minutes after the time stated that my preordered food would be ready. The cashier was being extremely rude because a guest was not giving her a tip. Another waitress incorrectly charged a guest and when he was explaining the overcharge she turned the monitor towards him and said yeah, I see it, I will fix it. But she was so rude. I never heard them greet anyone coming in. I never heard them thank anyone for coming in. Just a Horrible experience. I would not have left a tip either if this is the type service they recieved as eat in guests. Just terrible all the way around.
Some months back and during that one month, I decided that I want to try out Waffle House, and to see why people would want to eat there. My experiences there haven't been exactly terrible the first time around. Came around early midnight after the night shift, decided to drop and dine. They had most of the tables reserved for small groups but were okay letting a single person take them. The food I ordered at the time took twenty to thirty minutes with the quality of the food itself backing on average to decent. It wasn't too busy and the workers seemed to be in a okay mood. Second and third time around were kind of a different experience. The food took almost an hour with the workers taking at least ten to twenty minutes to get orders filed away. On both those times, they were backed up heavily on to-go orders with them as the focus first, tables were left dirty, and the general atmosphere and attitude of the workers were in a tense and sour mood or feel. By the time I got my food the third time, it was almost two in the morning. I do understand that they are 24/7 and whatnot. You cannot fault them for everything as they're trying to do their best with what they have. Although, you can get more from other places for the same price. And course, they were tipped on all visits.
This was the only Waffle House that let us sit inside; after stopping at another closer to us. Food was good. They gave me the wrong toast but fixed it immediately once I said something. No complaints. Except jukebox was too low & kept freezing when I tried to pick my songs
I love the WH. This restaurant was guarded with officers and limited space. They were only taking to go orders. Seems as if it wasn't a safe space. Everyone was polite and service was speedy.
I've been here many times over the years, but not recently. Wait staff couldn't have cared less if we were there, busy with their business. Ham was not good, eggs were okay, cooked correctly. Hashbrowns were not fully cooked. Waffle could have been cooked longer, also. Place was very dirty. Don't think I'll go back. Sad.
It is to go only at night on weekends. Took me 35 minutes for a waffles and chicken melt. And was waiting outside the lady yelled out the window “ you gonna come get ya food or what?” How was I supposed to know My food was done 🤣 anyways they have one server taking orders and then 2 cops which I thought it was weird but while waiting for my order two cars were chasing each other and ended up in the parking lot then the guy pulled out a gun on the other guy and he dipped off. The man who pulled the gun continued to order his food like nothing happened 🧇 😭 I would say it is not worth coming here at night from a safety standpoint point. Also they have significantly raised prices.
3 stars for this location because management is horrible for only scheduling one employee in the front. She was absolutely wonderful and a joy to be served by, but good grief, you can see that she was stressed out from all the work she had to do. That's not ok! She gets an infinite amount of 5 stars. Had the all star breakfast which was so filling I don't know how I was able to eat it all but I did. Saved me from having to get lunch or dinner I was so full and satiated. Bathroom was very clean at this location.

Always a hit and miss here . When it's busy, don't expect your coffee to be topped off often . Overall, the food has been pretty consistent at this location .
When we walked we were not greeted by any of the staff. My waffles were nasty and soggy and my cup had black residue on it. Lexi were yelling at staff about being tired of doing the dishes. Not once did she check on our table, nor did she greet us. Unacceptable!
My server was friendly enough but she gave me misinformation. Waffle House used to have a bargain menu with bacon and a waffle for $5 she said she would still honor that price. She didn't she charged me 6:50 for the bacon and the waffle which I could have gotten eggs and toast for the same price with my bacon and grits if I wanted to. She never checked on my coffee she never came back over to the table after bringing me my ticket 30 seconds after giving me my food. I can understand except I was the only table in the place at the time. Needless to say even though it's Waffle House most people would expect better service. The second star is for the food which was fine and kept us from being a 1-star experience.

If I could give a zero, I would. Walked in the Waffle House with my mother, who is hard of hearing. Of course it is packed as usual especially on a Sunday. I thought the lady said to find a seat and someone would be right with you, we’ll the only available seats were at the counter and it had to be clean. We started to sit, and she yelled, have a seat to wait. Well we did, then she proceeded to talk about us to other employees that were behind the counter. I refuse to spend my dollars at a establishment that disrespect customers. I understand Christmas can be stressful, but she should not work in a customer service area, if the slightest thing sets her off. No, we didn’t stay, we left and we spent our money at IHOP.
Service started out great, but then it went to hell. We ordered our food and when we got it we didn't get everything at once. We waited 15 to 20 minutes on our waffles. Then she bought one and said the other one was cooking we didn't get it till 15 minutes later. Then the manager picked up a dirty rag, dried her hands, and stuck her thumb right in the corner. We was like that is not safe, and it was unsanitary. I would watch your food closely when they are cooking it.
Place was full we walked in and waited to be addressed. After standing 7 minutes we were yelled at from across the room to sign in. After be seated everyone else after us got their ordered taken first. Then another 8 people walked in and had no idea to sign in. Ms Rita then informed them and people left bc they just stood there and lost places in line bc they didn’t sign in. Long story short I asked Rita if the 3 people who sat down after just walking in signed in and she told me “let me do my job Karen.” I mentioned to her she isn’t doing her job and I’m making sure nobody gets screwed the way we all did. The people waiting appreciated it but Rita is a disrespectful miserable old lady. Calling someone a Karen at your place of business is totally unprofessional. That place is a mess bc she can’t keep a straight line.
The food was under cooked and the waitress never asked how the food was. As I was eating one of the waitresses was sitting across from me in another booth and farted as she was on her phone and eating her lunch. She then looked back at me, I'm guessing to see if I heard it. I couldn't even finish my lunch. As I was at the cash register the waitress that had farted just stared at me. I would never go back to this place!!!
This was my favorite location in the metro plex it was the 1st place me and my wife ate after being married 11 years ago but today I was very disappointed after sitting there for 15 mins nobody came to serve us there was 2 older ladies showing each other photos on social media and didn’t even offer us drinks until we stood up to walk out. I’m very disappointed and won’t be returning. This would not have been a issue but we were 1 of 4 customers in the restaurant
If I could rate this place ZERO, I would. They should be grateful they are getting a 1. We went in to place a to-go order and the server they had working was very rude and unprofessional. She refused to take the order and when I confronted her about it she stated “I’m the only server here and yal gone just have to wait” then proceeded to roll her eyes and walk off even after I told her it was a to-go order and it wouldn’t hurt to atleast take the order as it has already been over 20min and she standing around doing nothing…. A man who was washing dishes stated he could take the order and get us in and out and she told him “nah, I will handle this but I will get to them when I feel like it”. I asked my younger sister and her friends did they just wanna go somewhere else and the guy insisted on taking our order and the horrible server scoffed, then stated “if they wanna leave let them leave, oh well” Terrible customer service. She does not need to be at work if she is going to walk around with attitudes and being happy that customers are leaving.
The Waffle House on Spring Valley Rd in Dallas, TX Practice discrimination. Greeter, Linda gave me the worst experience in my life when she denied me a booth(reserved for 2 or more/families) on the weekend but 5 minutes later seated a white gentleman who was alone but stated he was needing seating for 2. This is a long story and video so I will have to rate and post often to tell the whole story. Black and Brown people BEWARE OF RACISM AT THIS WAFFLE HOUSE LOCATION. They will say they are not racist because they also have a Black Woman in management for a cover up. All other employees are White. Stay Tuned………

I rarley rarley ever leave a review, but have to this time... Waffle house has never been know for great customer service, but we all tolerate it cause the food is decent. This location has always been ok and busy, but recently went down hill bad. This location has become by far the worst I have ever experienced. Was a Friday night and no one was ther and now I see why... The servers and police security are down right hostile and do not want customers there. Not necessary to go into details..Cook was a kind old man but servers and security were a damn joke. To the owners/corporate: Get rid of those servers and security from evening of 3/1/2025, as they are loosing you money! This location is right down the street from my house, but I'll drive a few extra miles to avoid this location moving forward.
The food here is okay. There are definitely other Waffle House locations with better service and breakfast. The 2 ladies working to-go and servers are extremely rude. Not even to me, I was about to order breakfast to go and overheard them talking about customers, being rude to customers, and just not offering friendly or polite service. I refused to pay for service where the employees are rude and the food is barely good for such poor attitudes and quality food.

Couldn't tell you about the food because we didn't get to eat. They were a little busy for a Waffle House, but it's a Waffle House. They don't hold many customers. We weren't acknowledged at all when we came in. We stood and waited 10 minutes for them to even come and clean off the available tables so we could sit down. The employees were bickering amongst each other. When we finally got seated the waitress came to us and said that it would be a while before we get our food, before we even ordered. So we left.
Came in for lunch @ 1:00pm and the place was empty with no customers. I was offered to sit and and the older, blonde told me some one will be with you in a minute . 20 minutes later and one no came to take my order . They were more concern about the cleaning the place instead. There were 4-5 employees at the time . One moping the dinning room , one cleaning the kitchen, two talking by the register and not one of them ask me if they could take my order. Screw this Place!!!!!!
Rita was our server today and was absolutely horrible. I came in to eat with my husband on our way home from vacation. She took a few minutes to come by and get our drink order, but brought them in a timely manner once ordered. The food was mediocre at best. Scrambled eggs were so over cooked the moisture was gone. Over easy eggs actually arrived over medium. Bacon was so dry it might as well have been bacon bites. Through our entire meal, Rita did not come to check on us ONCE. No offer for drink refills, no pass by to pick up the dirty dishes that we had pushed towards the edge that we were done with, and we had to ask one of the cooks for extra silverware. It seemed like Rita was too busy sitting in the booth to tend to her ONLY table that she had. It seemed to be slow since the other waitress complained about how slow it was to every customer that came in. If it’s so slow, why can’t Rita be bothered to check on her customers? The only time she came by was when my husband flagged her down to top off his coffee when she was putting in an order for a to-go. I hated even leaving her a tip. Find another location to eat at if you care about customer service.
Overcharged me for Two cheese steak sandwiches then adds themselves a tip when I ordered Togo not only that I watched the lady not put my receipt in the bag , since they think it's ok to steal we'll see who gets the last laugh
The WORST Waffle House in DFW literally. The one located off of greenville is better. I placed a order online at 12:15p did not get my order til 12:55p no one acknowledged me, and the cashiers had attitudes. This is my third encounter of facing horrible service..not sure if it was because I was wearing a pride shirt or not but I was never acknowledged and 3 people before me received their food before me. Contacting corporate as well via. email, no one should feel uncomfortable at a restaurant in 2025.
By the most ABSOLUTE WORST SERVICE!!! I tend to start my birthday morning off right, but unfortunately this location can't handle anything. Me and my boyfriend sit there for about 30 to 40 mins no drinks no silverware. Why did our food come out wrong and still had no way to EAT it. So we just walk out. Horrible Horrible never ever again!
This was my first experience at any Waffle House and I don't know that I'll ever step foot into another one. When we walked in there was a woman talking so loudly on the phone it was borderline screaming, I thought it was a customer...no it was an employee. There were over 3 tables that had not been bused and still had customer plates and garbage on it. When we were greeted we were pointed to a table close to the counter our waitress was sitting at. The eggs were not well scrambled, still a bit runny, the bacon was not cooked all the way. Really the only thing that was delicious was the waffle. I can't tell you the last time this facility got a deep clean, even the vents in the ceiling were nasty. The waitress sitting next to our table listened and joined our conversation. I don't know if I'll ever try a Waffle House again after this experience. It was interesting.....
The waitres took so long to take our order and then she gets mad bc 5$ tip like cmon lady i wasnt going tip nothing it was not busy it was me and two other ppl
The food was under cooked the waitress inattentive she didn’t check on me once after serving the food my waffle was still doughy I ordered eggs over medium they were barely over easy the sausage and toast was the only items acceptable
This place sucks . I walked in was told to sit anywhere but the tables were dirty no problem I'll wait til there cleaned . Wait 6 mins to order no problem I can wait longer . Drink comes out watery and in a dirty glass didn't notice until I drank some of it . Food comes out it's a cold mess not edible or even worth my hard-earned money during this time a couple comes in they waited & waited until they just got up and left !! Hmm I wonder why ?? I asked for my grits and eggs to be made over and also I had toast in my Cold grits cheese on grits was hard not even melted because how can it melt on old grits . Ask for well done meat but it was half well . I wanted to leave but I tried my hardest to stay . My waffle came out last but the waiter said she would bring back syrub and never did she took orders cleaned checked receipts but never brought syrub so that's when I build up the courage to just walk out and went to chilli's across the street where I was actually acknowledged and food was A1
This location gets zero stars. We were not greeted when we walked in. In fact, we said hello to the older server lady. She look at us and still said nothing. We seated ourselves and waited. And waited. And continued to wait. After about 10 minutes of being ignored by the wait staff, we left. No one acknowledged us. And no, it was not busy. It was about 2 pm on a Monday afternoon. Needless to say, we will not return to this location until you hire employees who know how to treat customers.
My wife and I came to this location to get some breakfast around 1:30pm. The lady asked my wife was she there to place an order or pick up. My wife said place an order. She proceeded to tell my wife that the guy (whom was already busy) would take her order. We winded up leaving because my wife was just standing there waiting for someone to take her order. If the guy is busy, why couldn’t you just take her order… because you clearly wasn’t doing anything! Long story short, we went down the street to iHop and Waffle House should definitely take notes when it comes to customer service.
Waffle House 120 spring valley rd. Richardson TX. 75081 1st time: A couple of years (2022-2023) ago my co-driver and I met my brother for breakfast early in the morning. The first time we walked in there was no one in the restaurant. We sat down we were lightly chatting for about 20+ minutes before the waitress walked out of the office where the cook was sitting. We placed our order and then waited. Service was okay the first time. We paid the bill and added 50% tip and said thank you. 2nd time: The second visit a couple of months later and as we walked in the door I noticed the cook was sitting in the office, and the waitress was standing in the office doorway, as we walked in the waitress, started chatting with the cook, and they said something to each other then the waitress looked at us as we were getting ready to sit down and they said they were closed. We stopped and looked at her with a confuse look on our faces because there was four other patrons in there eating already, but we all noticed that they were the same color as the waitress and the cook. We asked when they would be open and she shrugged and said she wasn’t sure. We said OK and left. 3rd time: The third time was a few months later, and we walked in and just sat down, the waitress came walking out of the office and we were already sitting with the menus in our hands ready to order. She tried to explain that the restaurant was closed again, after looking at the other two patrons in there (same skin color as a waitress in the cook) we politely said are you sure the restaurant is closed because it looks open and I believe Waffle House is supposed to be open 24 hours a day. The cook came out and decided to take the order. We paid the bill and left No tip We never went back. Out of respect for the customers, just a recommendation. If you’re not of the same skin color as the cook and waitress please be prepared to be turned away.
Very bad service The lack of. Communication was shown just in our order alone. Ham, Bacon, toast... HOW do you get that wrong. The ladies working the grill was terrible very slow and unorganized like the other grill people that work there. And our waitress couldn't tell you a name cause it says " I work for tips" That's all you see no name nothing. That's kinda immature at her age. Just terrible experience, You see a ladies working the grill just turn around and go to a different one.
I am writing to formally express my disappointment following a deeply unsettling experience at this Waffle House location. My family and I recently visited the restaurant, and from the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt unwelcoming. After seating ourselves, we waited over 10 minutes without being acknowledged or approached by any staff. Despite making eye contact with a team member wearing a blue shirt and black hat , possibly a manager, it was only after I signaled that he asked the nearby waitress to take our order. Her response appeared indifferent, and she made no effort to assist us. What was particularly disheartening was that another couple who arrived after us and sat nearby were promptly served by the same waitress. It was clear she was aware of our presence, yet chose to serve others first. While I cannot definitively say this was racially motivated, the experience left me and my family feeling marginalized and disrespected. When we raised our concerns with the manager, his only response was a brief, “I’m sorry,” which felt dismissive and inadequate given the situation. This is not the first time we have encountered such treatment at a Waffle House location, and it's incredibly disappointing. As a loyal customer, I find this pattern unacceptable and am seriously considering escalating the matter further, including reaching out to corporate leadership. I hope Waffle House takes incidents like this seriously and works to ensure that all guests regardless of background are treated with dignity, fairness, and respect.
