I'm kind of partial because it's so convenient for me, but I love Anh. The romen is delicious and the shrimp tempura is the best you will have. The staff is cool and always goes out of the way to make you feel special. Probably because it's a new restaurant but good service is good service
Excellent Vietnamese restaurant right on the water in the Richmond Marina. Terrific views and food. The pho is amazing and they have a great happy hour from 3-6 during the week and ALL DAY on Mondays with $5 drink and food specials.
Anh Restaurant & Bar Vietnamese and Asian cuisine is absolutely fabulous in every way! Featurning Pho noodle soups they offer lots more possibilities; we found the food to be beyond scrumptuous, reasonably priced with really large portions and the service was superb. Erick is one of the most fun and charming waiters ever and the location right on the bay is sublime with lovely views and indoor/ outdoor seating. Everything we ordered was completely wonderful including the Shrimp and Mango Salad, the Veggie Spring Rolls, the Chicken and Cabbage and the Shrimp Noodle Pho soup - all super duper yummy. We walked from The Cove condos in two minutes with the beautiful marina view. A huge asset to the Richmond area, with easy and convenient access to all Cove dwellers. We didn't order any specialty drinks but they too looked divine! Can't recommend more highly!!! Just a very special place. Erick is a hoot and just a terrific server and an all round great, great guy. Do not miss this gem!!
Man I am glad I stopped in here! I was doing a little shopping in the area and needed a bite so I swung in and I am happy I did. I started with the spring rolls and wow their peanut sauce is off the chart good! I had a cocktail and the oxtail pho to follow and their pho broth was elevated to a level I have never had in pho! Cute little place, good service, tasty food overall great experience. When in the area, I will definitely be making another stop and explore a bit more of the menu.
Great food, well timed service. We were outside, with a nice view of the water. Git a little windy towards the end of our meal...around 7ish pm, but a beautiful experience.
Stopped in for a lunch - the food and appetizers were great. We were served quickly, and the outdoor seating had a nice clear acrylic window screen to block the wind that comes in off the Marina. A great spot for lunch!
We had a group of 5 and sat near the sliding glass door. Very small restaurant but very cozy. The staff there was pretty good. They were definitely accommodating. We had the spring roll appetizer. It was divine. We had stir fry and mushrooms wirh bok Choy which was also excellent .
Went per the suggestion of a good friend. Delicious food, amazing cocktails. We had fresh and fried rolls as well as tempura shrimp and it was all perfectly prepared. Reggie was a wonderful server and i can't wait to see her again and try more great food!
First time I've ever come around the area after coming back from San Francisco and happened to find a nice viet/pho place! Went to try it and it did not disappoint! Everything tasted so great and the calamari was so light! It didn't taste heavy like any other ones I've had! It was the best calamari that I ever had! Very light and crunchy!
A gem! Healthy very tasty food. Absolutely fantastic! Everything we tasted was really outstanding. Calamaris, rolls, chicken curry... the quality of the food is what's so special about this place. Tasty and healthy. As good if not better than eating at home! THe setting is great. View of the boats, sheltered from the wind by four plastic walls Not to miss. Our favorite by far in this area!
Excellent service. Lovely ambience. Several seating options including an enclosed outdoor area. The portion sizes can easily feed two people, and the menu prices reflect that. Overall, a lovely dining experience with a waterfront view.
Put off going here after moving into neighborhood bc I'm not biggest fan of Thai but I really was wrong. This place is five stars in every aspect. Service was the best, every part of the dinner was fantastic, even the wine was great. Look forward to trying rest of menu out in future. Highly recommend.
Absolutely delicious! My wife in I had lunch/Dinner 3pm on 6/4 and it was delicious. We had Garlic Noodles and Calamari to start. Delicious! We both then had "the Bun" with charbroiled shrimp. What a tasty dish with unique flavors. Even the mint leaves complimented the other flavors. We will be back for sure! ASAP!
Family of 5 dined in for a birthday dinner and we all really enjoyed our meals (and specialty drinks). Nice views with the outdoor seating with nice high plexi-windows that keep out most of the wind. Added to the favorites list!
I feel like Ahn's is Richmond's best kept secret. Moderate crowds every time I've gone but I feel like lines should be out the door all the time. Food is fabulous! Service is great! Beautiful setting and ambiance. I could go on and on...
Good Vietnamese food! I came here with my family and we had a great time. We've been going to family run Vietnamese restaurants in Oakland for years and have been wanting to try places in Richmond after moving here. It's more upscale than your usual dig with views of the harbor and nice ambiance. Can't say it's got the same character as the ones in Oakland. Definitely catering to a different clientele.
If you come in by boat like I did it is a very short walk to the restaurant. My crew and and ate here for the first time and it was very good. The service was excellent and the varied menu was appreciated. There is a very nice view of the Marina and a nice path around the area.
I cannot believe this gem was in my city right under my nose and I'm just now discovering it! I am a Pho phonatic! I travel all around looking for the best pho. Seriously, seriously, seriously. This place is remarkable! The ambiance, the remarkable service (thank you Betty!), the quality of flavors and the taste was mind blowing. A must go to!!
Always good food. The pho is tasty. The garlic noodles are excellent!
Most important I want to thank Betty for her amazing service, post covid staffing is so difficult to judge and I came in at the moment she was a bit overwhelmed and she was still kind and helpful which made it so much easier to patiently wait for her to catch up. After which she was so attentive and friendly. The food was excellent, and I was so hungry I didn't think to take a picture until desert! I had the Papaya Mango salad which was crisp yet ripe and full of flavor. And the spring rolls were really good too! The banana samosas were tasty and Betty was more than happy to add a generous amount of extra chocolate sauce! My Le-Chi-Tini was tasty and strong at the same time!! In other words hella good!! Anh Restaurant & Bar and especially Betty are a true Richmond gem and I can't wait to return!
Food is freshly made, house made. The Phó is deeply flavorful. The garlic noodles are chewy, garlicky comfort. The service is attentive but not pushy. The location and view of the harbor are relaxing and romantic.
Perfect place to get pho when you want to enjoy hot soup with the harbor view! Their egg rolls and the pho are amazing, serve with legit fish source with friendly service! Most of the time it’s quiet and less traffic in the environment which allows you to take a refresh restart, enjoy the food while enjoying the view! One of the best hide out spot for me if I want to take a break!
Nice place to eat, especially if you are walking around the marina area. I personally like the bulgogi with some dumplings or spring rolls as appetizers.
First time eating here and everything we ordered was great! Lobster garlic noodles a 10! Grilled pork chops and spicy chili sauce wings were all good Will definitely come back
I recently dined at an outstanding Vietnamese restaurant in our local area that truly stands out! This restaurant skillfully combines classic Vietnamese cuisine with a unique twist that sets it apart from others. From the moment I stepped in, the staff's friendliness and warmth made me feel right at home. There's one woman in particular, who exudes a motherly charm, ensuring that everyone's dining experience is nothing short of delightful. What truly distinguishes this restaurant is the breathtaking view it offers. Whether you're seated indoors or in their protected outside area, you're in for a treat. Though I must admit, the cold bay weather in the evening can be a bit challenging, so dress accordingly. The restaurant provides free parking, which is a huge plus, but keep in mind that it's shared with another establishment nearby, so it might get a bit crowded at times. Despite this minor inconvenience, the overall experience at this Vietnamese restaurant is exceptional. It's a must-visit for anyone looking to savor delicious Vietnamese cuisine with a touch of elegance and a view to remember.
I forgot how good this place was. This once was a place I frequented pre-covid during the times where it was waitlisted to get in. Fast forward they have adjusted and have limited indoor and outdoor dining plus takeout. Ordered the short ribs and tofu green beans to go and it was a DND moment. Crispy fresh beans and so flavorful. I was ensured that my allergy listed would not affect my meal. His was an amazing treat too. We didn’t speak to one another while eating. Lol. Didn’t even have to ask for utensils. Came with a packet plus chopsticks.
OMGOOODNESS. EXCEPTIONAL QUAILTY and TASTE. THANK YOU CHEF FOR TRAINING UP YOUR DAUGHTERS WELL My compliments to the Kitchen Staff. Our waiter was so kind and attentive. It was my mother's birthday and he made her feels special. Did I say the food was AMAZING? The atmosphere is very quaint, bright and airy. We will definitely be back. Frequently.👏
My husband has been trying to get me to come here everytime I visit him. He talked very highly of it when he first tried it, and he wasn't wrong! This place is delightful! Although, I am a little sad we didn't get dessert, our pho and rolls were tasty. (Everyone around us was getting the creme brulee, and samosas) It was a perfect meal after our hike. The servers were so nice and kept making sure we were taken care of. Plus, you cannot beat the view! I will definitely be back!
This place is great. I like this place a lot because they have a lot of options for lactose intolerant people without having to change up the menu too much. The pad Thai was super bomb. The imperial rolls were fire. The crispy calamari was really good. It wasn’t the best calamari ever so I would maybe skip on that the next time I went. Overall, I’ve never had a bad time at Anh. 5 stars !!!
Friendly and fast service Views were nice, right next to the water The food was tasty. Decent price for a bowl of pho. We got the oxtail with extra meat which was only $5 more. Cocktails were balanced and we enjoyed our overall time. Would be back.
Lovely location with great view of the harbor. Airy and light-filled interior. Pho noodle and soup were delicious. Desserts were delightful. Friendly and tentative service. A wonderful spot next to walking trail by the bay.
Perfect place for a refreshment or lunch after take a walk on the bay Trail run right next to it a friend of mine told me about the restaurant said it was pricey, but not for that neighborhood i don’t think so . I thought the calamari I had was tender and tasty salad was delicious too. The spring rolls were awesome with one of the amazing drafts they have it was very nice
This little place was delicious 🤤 everything came out fast and hot! Loved all the flavors, so much in this food! 🥰 Betty was killing it! Bartending, serving, hosting, running food, and did it all with a smile! ❤️ Also had time to check on us and joke a bit! They were awesome, will be back again soon, try the curry 🍛 and get a cocktail too you won't be disappointed!
What can I say, I'm a big fan of Korean food. Service was 5 stars, food was 5 stars, location is next to one of my favorite things, the Marina and sailing boats.. it's hard to beat that combination. I'll be back! :)
Great restaurant adding to the beautiful waterfront offerings. Stellar views for a lunch, romantic dinner, or just a drink. Had the calamari which were just fine. Hot and crispy they came with a sweet dipping sauce. Really liked the pork noodle bowl. Yummy. Garlic lobster was awesome. Also appreciate all the local beers on tap. Had a Kolsch from Alameda! Service was friendly and dedicated.
First time at this restaurant, the dishes are well served, the service was very good and what can I say about the view of the pier, it's beautiful, too bad it was raining.
If you're reading this review, you need to drop what you're doing immediately and go eat at Anh Restaurant. Seriously, go now. Order the Lobster Garlic Noodles. You'll be in love the moment the plate is placed in front of you. The noodles are plump and delicious. The veggies are cooked just enough, not raw and not soggy. The seasoned buttery lobster is tender and oh so tasty. We ordered the panko shrimp and spring rolls as starters, both were great. The peanut sauce that came with the spring rolls was the best I've had. The quality of their food was amazing. Service was lightning fast, staff was wonderfully friendly. Absolutely our new favorite restaurant. Can't wait to go back!
This restaurant has an excellent view when dining outside and the food and the service is very good. We had the spring rolls and we had the garlic noodles with lobster and as our vegetable entree we had the mushroom and bok choy. The serving is also very generous. If you happen to be on the Richmond marina, give it a try.
Love sitting inside (tad chilly today) looking out on the water while conversing, enjoying our meal. Spring rolls (shrimp/pork) and panko shrimp appetizers were great. Garlic noodles with vegetables, delicious! Could not finish the noodles or the rolls, so those came home. Will be a great dinner
Excellent location if you're driving there to dine, or if you're going for a walk around Marina Bay first then dinner or lunch afterwards. The staff is attentive and the food is fresh and delicious. I've been here several times and it's always been a positive experience. Highly recommend!
Stumbled upon this hidden gym while walking my pups and I'm so happy I did. I had no plans to stop and get a quick meal and drink but it was definitely great to have the option to take a break from walking. The menu had a great variety of meals and drinks to choose from. I wasn't really that hungry so went with the veggie garlic noodles and the Vietnamese coffee martini drink (which was AMAZING)! I didn't get the hostess name but she was very sweet and even let me sit outside with my 2 pups and brought them a bowl for water. I thoroughly enjoyed my walk but this restaurant was *chefs kiss*
Beautiful place 🙌🏿💕 family went here to celebrate 2 birthdays and many of them (me included) are picky eaters. We all got our food and were SILENT 😭 it was so good, healthy, and filling. Still thinking about the Pad Thai. Thank you! Definitely a family staple.
This is my go to spot and a hidden gem in Richmond Ca the price is fair the food is delicious and it’s right on the water

Nice fresh food, good prices and great views of the Richmond Marina

So far so good. I've been here about four times over the last month. I really enjoy the food, The atmosphere is nice and the staff is always friendly. We went for my cousin's birthday and the owner came over and serenaded her with the beautiful rendition of Happy Birthday.
The pho is really good and we also enjoyed the chicken curry and lemongrass chicken. The bun cha Hanoi was also good, but could use more basil and sauce served with it. The server was busy yet made sure we were well taken care of. Friday evenings are crowded, so go early.
This restaurant is at the Richmond Municipal Marina adjacent to the Salute restaurant. There are excellent views of the marina from the patio. All the food and service is good, but the menu is rather small. Over all, it is an excellent place to eat for the price.
The food came fast. The server was respectful and nice. The Family style platters had great portions. The scene is wonderful if you like water and boats. This place is great family style and is wonderful for a date night. Great Job Anh Vietnamese Kitchen!
Good food, great view, service, & cocktails! The pho was very flavorful and filling (size R), the crab rolls were great too. The beef bun bowl was underwhelming in flavor and lacking in meat serving size. Old fashioned was only OK, but the spiked vietnamese coffee was great. Definitely paying for the view here but a solid 4/5 meal. I'd still recommend it!
Anh is a pleasant restaurant near the Richmond Marina. The menu is small, but everything we ordered (calamari, spring rolls, garlic noodles, Pho, Bun bowl) was really tasty. The service was attentive and friendly. We enjoyed sitting outside on the patio.
A gem of a place! Wonderful food -- tried the bun noodle plate with BBQ pork -- with a good and traditional menu that includes friendly people and good service. Sorely needed in that part of Richmond, and a great place. I would have done 4.5 stars if they let me.
Love the crispy calamari and spring rolls. A bit pricy but a beautiful location and very friendly staff. A great place for a date! A walk along the water before or after is a great way to digest or get hungry.
Since there are already many pics already posted, I decided not to add anything different. We ate dinner there and had the crispy crab rolls, Chinese chicken salad, shaking beef, and the pad thai with shrimp. There was a carafe of water set at the table. We ordered a few drinks too. The meal was very tasty (high quality) and quantity was more than adequate. We sat indoors near the bar, since the wind was blowing a bit and the outdoor seating that was open was only the front portion of the restaurant...the deck was closed. The view of the harbor was nice.
Tasty bi-bim-bop! A bit too many noodles and a bit short on the veggies. I asked for more spinach and they brought to 2 of us it free of charge. Beautiful view, l look forward to sitting outside when the weather warms up!
This is our favorite spot for date night! We each pick out a bowl of pho and split an appetizer - always feel so welcome and leave happy and full. Highly recommend!
I don't think the food was bad, everything seemed like it was missing one or some ingredients to push it into authentic/great (more like American/Viet Fusion). I think it's definitely toned down for the area it's located in and it's a decent spot (just not for me?). The service was great and they also provide outside dinning which is a plus! That being said, I probably would not come back due to the price/flavor. I'd be more interested in trying a place I haven't been to then come back.
Found this new Vietnamese restaurant in my neighborhood and decided to give them a try for dinner. When we got there the place was packed! Luckily there was one more table available so we took it. The place was so busy that once we sat down it took another 10 minutes before our waitress was able to greet us and take our order. Once she took our order it took another 20+ minutes before we got our pho. Fortunately, once our food arrived, everything was delicious! The broth for our pho was on point and there was tons of meat in it. Our grilled beef spring roll was very tasty as well. In summary, this restaurant has an amazing view of the bay, the service was good, and the food is delicious. I will just be sure to not come on a busy day.

The food and quality is good. However, during lunchtime food always takes long to come out and they only have two waiter - they are the one that serve, take bills, bar tender, take order on the phone, and bring the food out. I would have want to give another star but the experience always leave me disappointed.
Sorry, I don't like to downrate a restaurant. I eat Vietnamese food often and here in Sacramento we have many good Vietnamese restaurants. My Bun (cold rice noodle salad) was a small portion, the noodles were too hot and there was quite a bit of gristle in my pork. My Mom had Japchae, (Korean beef noodle dish) and her portion was more generous and the chicken was better.
Anh is a charming spot in the Richmond Marina with an interesting background. The location is great, but sadly, over the years, the quality of the food has plummeted. Most plates taste greasy and are seasoned with generic sauces. The menu is also rather limited. While I enjoyed the service and the location, I have to say I regretted eating the food and will not return until a real chef is involved again.
Food presentation was very nice. Flavors, while not exceptional, were good. The decent drink list consisted of wine, beers, & clever spin offs on traditional bar drinks. The ambiance was quite airy & casual inside & outside on the deck. Service was very attentive & friendly. The restaurant is surrounded by a marina which makes for quite a scenic spot.
The quality of the meat and chicken was very poor. They have a spring roll which for some odd reason this stuff in a piece of meat and it was unusable to the point where you have to take it out of your mouth and set it on the plate. And their short ribs in no way resemble short ribs. Just simple strips of very chewy meat.
I really want to love this place. The food is good. The location can't be beat. But the service.....ugh.... I always feel like I'm interrupting someone's break. Some of the servers wear way too much perfume. And the last time I went, the music was booming. It was so uncomfortable. Please, can the owners work on the service? I really want to give 5 stars.
Food was ok. Disappointed in the short ribs especially for the cost which I expected to get more for your $$ (I'll go to a Korean bbq place, the rib flavor is much superior). They charge you for the rice which should have been part of the dish and the veges were just a salad mix you buy at the mkt) The chicken pho was nothing out of the ordinary, the chickens wings were weak (served with a ranch style dip, no creativity there). The rib eye pho was different and good but wouldn't order it again I wouldnt
location is cool right on the water. Food not nearly as good a other vietnamese spots that were half the price. The meat portions in our dishes were very much on the light side. I would not reccomend.
Food is good, service is disorganized and annoying. I think whoever is running the wait staff needs to show up and do their job, we had 5 waiters who apparently do not talk to each other. The main waiter threw the others under the bus when our drink order was dropped. They have loud background music AND a big screen TV going simultaneously. It's too bad, this place has great location and menu, but they won't last, so go while you can, they'll be replaced by someone who actually wants to run a restaurant.
I wanted to like this place so much, as I live within walking distance, and there are hardly any other offerings in the area for dinner. I was mostly disappointed with everything. The service was super slow... The food came out of the kitchen super slow, and when it did, it was not hot. My bowl of delicious pho was like lukewarm bath water! The flavors of the food we tried were good, but the food needs to be hot... And if the restaurant is not even busy, how is it taking so long???
This restaurant has very mediocre food that's on the pricey side.I ordered the noodles with lobster...The noodles were greasy and the vegetables were not sauted at all. Just tasted like cut up hunks of raw vegetables. The interior was dated and small, but the customer service was really good and worth mentioning. I wouldn't eat here again, especially with an awesomely delicious restaurant like Lara's Fine Dining right next door!!
Came in with 3 of my friends, we each ordered an entree. Both myself and a friend each ordered a shaking beef, when asked if I wanted a side of rice I asked if I could get a side of noodles instead... Simple enough request that was granted with no problem. Fast forward to when we got the check. They charged $70+ for two orders of shaking beef with a side order of noodles. I asked why they charged so much for a side of noodles, they explained that they were entree portions. I was upset that they didn't clarify when I placed the order. I didn't know I was capable of eating two entrees and an appetizer and a drink all in one sitting.... Aka there wasn't a lot of noodles
I've been coming here for a while, but I haven't been here for at least four or five months, my friend and I both on boats here in the marina. I would happily drop 82 $90 in here including tip but I don't know what happened this time from the get-go. My friend and I order the same thing simple totally screwed up the order only gave my friend half, of the two items. I also told the bartender that this dish comes with rice they said I could pay extra for it, and then realizes it actually does come with rice. The bartender never ever once asked me if I wanted another drink and pretty much ignored us all night to the end when it came to our check I had to ask three times totally look me in the eye twice and ignored me and did paperwork instead I had to grab a passing by waitress to get our tab I literally could have walked right out and nobody would have noticed. I'm not going to spend my hard-earned money in this place again it's very expensive in there $10 for 5 chicken wings they're good they're the bomb but really? My friend and I were truly disappointed
Bland as heck. If you are a POC this place isn’t for us. The reviews and patrons are all yuppy people who live by the Marina. Came for my Birthday and was so disappointed. Over priced. The plates were Tiny and the quality wasn’t there. The food was watery and had no Flavor. The cocktails were weak! And the staff’s response when I wasn’t happy with my food was simply oh well this is how we do it here.. Unacceptable! I would never come back or recommend this place
Very Disappointed. Last week on my way out of town i grab a quick dinner on the way to the airport. The worst takeout Ever! My chix wing was soggy & brown inside after bitting into them. My vegetable bowl had very few vegetables and white rice which i ordered brown rice Stuck together it was awful. I was so excited to be able to enjoy Anh. Was my favorite, could always count on food being fresh & good. This meal was again very Disappointing
Horrible service. We walked in to see the "Wait to be Seated" sign. Once someone finally noticed us we followed her only to realize she wasn't going to grab menus and seat us but pickup an order next to the pile of menus then tell us to sit wherever we liked. We spent two hours watching people seated after us get their food. Apparently if you want to get food under two hours order fresh spring rolls and items that don't need much prep and definitely don't order cocktails. I also found an unwelcoming "locals only" vibe here. The waitress (same one who "seated" us) took the time to chat for 10+ minutes with locals but we had to wait 15+ minutes just to get water and menus. Overall for the service and high prices for Vietnamese food, we won't be going here again.
I am writing this review not due to the food quality of the restaurant but their behavior of profiling my son who was there to get dinner on evening of 4/22. So this is how it goes . My Son who is 28 year old walks in the restaurant and waits for a table to be seated . Once he is seated, he gets really weird look from the staff . He has no idea that why he is getting this looks from the staff. Then one of the waitresses just walks over to him and questions him in front of everyone if his name is Ahmed and he did not pay his bill when he was at the restaurant the previous night . My Son was really taken back and was in disbelief due to this gesture of accusation . He tells them that his name is not Ahmed and he was not there yesterday at all. The waitress refuses to not belief him till he pulls out his Drivers License and Business card to prove that he is not that person ( Ahmed). After he proves he is not that person the waitress just walks away without any apology. Really.... At this point my Son was very upset and asked to speak with the manager. The manager comes out and says that he is sorry about this and offers him a free drink. How would a free drink rectify the humiliation he just went through by one of their very incompetent and possibly racial staff. Did he get treated like this because he was wearing Jeans and Hoody. The waitress was a white female and my Son looks like Black/Pacific Islander male. What shall we deduce from such am appalling behavior from the Restaurant staff.
The owner/s of this place should be tried for abusive non ethical work practices. I went there today for the first time and the inside of the restaurant was full no tables. There was 1 server. 1! For the entire place! Not only was this older server woman a server. She was also everything else on the floor. How dare you do this to your staff! I know owners of restaurants who go and work themselves when they are short staffed. Not one ounce of excuse for this. In addition I was not impressed by the food at all. It is very bland and outrageously expensive. $68.00 for 2 pho's and 1 spring roll 1 veggie fried roll order. F>[^ no. Unacceptable. I went to small ma and pa places little whole in the walls that had amazing pho out in the San Joaquin area and I paid like $8.00 for that pho that was 100x tastier. No. No. And No to this place. Will not return.
I went on a nice bike ride on the marina and was pleasantly surprised that there was a restaurant on grounds. I went in for a salad and was immediately greeted without a hello. The worker let me know that I couldn't bring my bike in. I let her know it would get stolen and I could break it down. She said there wouldn't be room for it. There were only 2 people on the patio. I did not eat there and will not recommend this place due to rude customer service. There is a bike trail right next to the restaurant.
A friend took me here and it was the most disappointing dining experience I've ever had in the bay area. When I sat down to look at the menu, I could already tell the restaurant was deeply confused about its identity. How can the food possibly taste good if the restaurant doesn't even know what culinary traditions it's following? The result is predictable, the dishes are prepared poorly, the food has no flavor. The marina is still nice, and the drinks were acceptable, but it's a hard sell when the food is so bad.
