Let me just say I thank God for MIYAMA coming to the neighborhood. You rarely find a price-friendly restaurant anymore with great service, food, and consistency. Lili is my repeat server, very knowledgeable, friendly, and great at making you feel at home. Now let's get into the amazing food they have for the price range, their lunch/Dinner specials are out of this world. You can tell nothing is microwaved, or made the day before because of the freshness. If yiu want great quality food, great service that doesn't break your pockets!!! Visit if you dare to be amazed.

Flavor of the fish was outstanding! I tend to go for sashimi and nigiri and steer clear of rolls with lots of added sauces… so I really value a high quality fish and THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO. 10/10 recommend

This is a great Japanese Restaurant. I mean-where do I start? Let’s go with service first. We were immediately greeted upon entering which is always a great touch. You want to feel “wanted” in any restaurant by staff. The tables were clean and seats were decent with ample seating room. Our server was Anna and even in the evening she was courteous, smiling and very attentive to our needs and requests. Mind you this is while she was tending to the rest of the restaurant. 5 stars for Anna! Thank you! ☺️ The appetizers were delicious and generous with portioning. As were the main courses. I got the Chicken Bento Box with some assortments of Sushi Rolls. Now let me mention something about Sushi in NYC. As we all know everything is super expensive. Expensive and small in portions. Especially with seafood. Miyama Sushi and Steakhouse gives the biggest portions I’ve ever tried at any seafood/Sushi restaurant at decent and fair pricing. Mind you I would pay for for the level of quality and, once again, portions. This is the first Sushi “spot” where I had to take some home to eat later. Mind you, I’m 6’4” 250 lbs. Not the biggest guy but larger than most and my appetite is huge. 👏🏾 The culinary design of each dish is unmatched with most other locations. There were two sushi chefs here and I was impressed with the amount of energy these guys had. Their attention to detail and deft skill at designing each sushi food/food item was definitely awe inspiring. I couldn’t see my self working for hours each day doing nothing but spending time feeding hungry people but in a way that requires discipline. 🫡 Overall the experience deserves 5 stars for customer service, food quality and environment. Beware: if you come here hungry get a good appetizer because it does take time to “design” each dish. I promise you though, it’s worth the wait. Expect probably a 15-20 minute wait on the main courses. 🤌🏿 Oh! Bathrooms are super clean. To Anna and staff thank you! We will be back. 🥳

Very pleasantly surprised by the high level and taste of sushi at Ridgewood! The sushi is very tasty!!! I tried the hot beef rolls. Rolls of rice with deep-fried fish are hot. The raw fish we ordered was also tender, fresh and delicious. I recommend it!

Celebrated our sons graduation and found this place in the area and was pleasantly surprised. Delicious food! Service was a tad slow tho but im guessing because it was weekday. Not alot of Drinks but the margaritas were tasty. Fried rice wasnt my fav tho, wasnt flavorful or tasted like your typical fried rice. However, everything else was amazing...my beef soba noodle soup omg was 😙👌 I added soy, chilli oil n sesame oil amazing! Overall i will return! Family enjoyed the meal!

Love the vibe! It’s spacious, relaxed, beautiful, and clean. The food is really good and there are tons of options. They have one of those big hardcover menus (not a QR CODE). It’s one of those places that makes you totally forget you’re in the city when you step inside — in a really good way. I appreciate the presentation and attention to detail. The staff are so friendly, the service is great, and the prices are right. What a sweet addition to the neighborhood.

We had the sushi and it was legit. Upon entry the atmosphere is pretty interesting and feels very clean and very new. The sushi was fresh and flavorful. We also enjoyed the spicy edamame. All in all this is a good spot for sushi with prices that were very fair.

I came here for my 3 year anniversary dinner and was not disappointed! The cowboy roll was amazing, definitely the best sushi I’ve had in Ridgewood ! (I’ve lived here all my life - 20 years) Both the NY strip steak and filet mignon were amazing also. Everything was well cooked, seasoned , and plated and all the ingredients were very fresh! We also had hibachi fried rice which was delicious as well and the tempura green tea ice cream did not disappoint. We ordered a lot and really enjoyed everything we had. The service was good and the ambiance is cute for a date or outing with friends. Definitely will be coming back and ordering takeout soon!

I love it here. I’m not a seafood person by any means, but I do like salmon sushi. And with that I’m still very picky. If it doesn’t taste fresh I can’t stomach it. But this place was amazing. I got a salmon avocado roll and a sweet potato roll and then an order of chicken udon which was great as well. My friend ordered the salmon dinner as she always gets and it was delicious and beautifully presented. Service was also quick and friendly!

I’ve ordered sushi from here at least 6-7 times. It really varies in quality. But I’ve had some bad sushi here at least 2-3 times now. My most recent order was inedible really. The salmon was weirdly chewy and it tasted off. The avocado was hard as a rock. The spicy tuna was sloppy. Just overall done with this place unfortunately.
