This is my new favorite spot in all of Guadalajara. Nothing else comes close to the delicious food, superb atmosphere and excellent service. The food is exceptional. It is some of the best I have tasted in Jalisco. The presentation matches the quality of the dishes. I would return here even if all else suffered but it doesn't. It is obvious that the owner pays close attention to every detail. This retreat from the bustling city is decorated in such a way as it takes you back in time but with a contemporary feel. There are multiple area to eat. They have a terrace and many cozy rooms inside this once home. I choose to sit in the room the record player console. E en the exact records on display are carefully selected to match the atmosphere of this wonderful cafe. This is a must visit in Guadalajara. If you only done in one place choose this one. You will not be disappointed. The coffee. They are part of the atresenal coffee scene. I choose a coffee americano and an espresso, neither disappointed. They were smooth and delicious. The staff are very good and seem pleased to be working here. They are friendly and willing to describe the different offerings. They are attentive but not obtrusive. I tried this place because of the Pasaporte del café. I will return because it is simply one of the best.

If I could give the atmosphere a higher rating, I would! So many beautiful details. Not a fancy place at all, but the dishes and table settings are exquisite. And the local art and decorations are so charming! We knew the food would be good ‘cause 2 different tour guides recommended the place. Yummy tacos! And special drinks, too!

What a gem! We loved this place. This restaurant is a family business, located in zona americana. It is great for breakfast or lunch. We went for a very late lunch and there were not many people in the restaurant. We ordered some juices, desserts and for the main peneques (fried tortilla with cheese, dipped in tomato sauce), enchiladas verdes con pollo, emolodas mixtas (with chicken and cheese, dipped in mole sauce), and enrijoladas mixtas (dipped in frijoles sauce). Portions were a good size for me but smaller than the standard mexican plates I have seen in other places (where I can never finish it). Everything was super delicious. The staff was very friendly, and the owner came to explain the story behind the "peneques" dish, it's fascinating, ask them :) The restaurant and tables are also beautifully and tastfully decorated with a lot of mexican crafts sourced locally 😍
