This spot is a hidden gem, amazing signature drinks and pastries. The owner Hyun is lovely and dedicated. We had a baby shower event organized in this coffee shop and it turned out perfect - they were very accommodating and helped us make the event warm and memorable.
I stopped by while I was in the area craving some coffee and ordered a cold brew, it was strong and flavorful. The unique interior and artworks made it enjoyable to look around while I drank, and the owner was very kind and welcoming.
I’m still sitting at Cafe Ambrosia but feel compelled to write this review immediately! My husband’s exact words: “These are the best pastries I’ve ever had and I’m not even a pastry person.” We ordered the pistachio croissant and the cardamom bun, as well as two cold brews and wow! The pistachio croissant was filled with a delicious pistachio cream and the cardamom bun was the best I’ve had outside of Denmark and Sweden. The cold brew coffee is spot on. I would definitely come her to work and enjoy the ambience. Highly recommend!
Beautiful coffee shop with nice ambiance and decor. Feels like you are in a home. Nice coffee and fresh pastries.
I visited Chelsea this past weekend and came here with some friends who knew the owner. The inside was very cute, there were plenty of places to sit. I ordered a mocha with oatmilk, it was very well presented, tasted phenomenal! Just the right amount of sweetness, with a good balance of espresso and chocolate. The staff were very professional and service was fast, even though a lot of us came in! Highly recommended 👌
Very cozy and quiet. I stopped by here in the morning before work some days. Staff has always been nice to me. Lighting can be a bit dim but honestly creates such a cozy atmosphere.
Such a pretty cafe!! I got a mini chocolate croissant and tiramisu matcha (matcha with cream & a ladyfinger). Good matcha and the presentation of it in the cup gave me so much joy. Good amount of seating too for the size and with comfy couches.
I stopped by Cafe Ambrosia recently, and it was awesome. The coffee was perfect, the pastries were fresh, and the vibe was super cozy. Great spot to relax or get some work done. Definitely recommend!
Ambiance: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Drinks 4/5 Strawberry matcha latte was so delicious! I ordered it with oat milk and I was a little skeptical to try it since most places that make matcha are different. But I was pleasantly impressed with how good the taste was. Tiramisu Viet was like I expect a Viet coffee to taste like strong since it’s a drip coffee. A bit mode concentrated, if you expect a tiramisu to be sweet I’d ask for extra sugar next time. It’s a good spot to study and a good heater by the window, they also have outlets to charge your electronics.
One of my fav new spaces in NY! The flat white and americano with foam were both amazing. Also the mini pastries?! Perfection Follow me @pivonkasplate for more fun cafes!
My wife and I love this new spot in chelsea. The lattes are delicious and the space is beautifully designed. The staff is so kind and friendly. Will definitely be back here.
Unique drinks( I had Strawberry matcha which was amazing), peaceful vibe to chat with friends, bring books or laptop, great well-made pastries, LOVE it!
Cafe Ambrosia is a Chelsea favorite for a reason. Sun-soaked space, amazing coffee and pastries, and the friendliest staff—it never disappoints!
You gotta try the velvety matcha latte and Assam milk tea by super barista Aaron! He takes great pride in his chasen and latte machine prowess! The Assam milk tea is the closest you’ll get to Harbs Royal Milk Tea which unfortunately closed in Chelsea. The cafe is chill and pleasant but has become a bit of a laptopper’s hang - I hope patrons know to order at least one coffee and pastry an hour so it stays afloat - otherwise it’ll be replaced by a CVS, Wells Fargo or Soulless Cycle…

Cafe Ambrosia feels like a sanctuary for the soul. I decided to take a five-minute break with a warm, delicious latte in hand—and I couldn’t have made a better choice. The coffee is, quite simply, outstanding. The moment I stepped in, I couldn’t help but think, “I’ve been waiting for a place like this.” Then came the moment I bit into their apple cinnamon treat. Wow. Just wow. The flavors were so perfectly balanced that I couldn’t stop myself from taking another bite… and another. I can’t imagine not ordering it. Honestly, I’m so glad I took a beautiful photo before digging in—it was totally worth it. Truly a hidden gem!

Charming new coffee shop in Chelsea. Cozy and comfortable setting, for either a quick coffee or two hang out and work in a quiet and serene space. The staff is gracious, friendly, and efficient. The espresso drinks were perfect, perfectly prepared, and I couldn’t resist one of their tasty sweet treats. A lovely addition to the neighborhood.
Decent matcha latte. Also ordered pistachio slice which tasted good. Came here to work and they have free wifi. Place is okay for work but it gets crowded around 3pm. Restroom is clean.

I got here a little late on Sunday morning, around 11:45 AM. It’s a nice place to sit and relax, but I think timing matters. I’d probably try it again earlier in the morning or on a quieter day. I ordered a latte and a pastry. The latte was good but not particularly memorable, and the pastry was fine, though it didn’t feel super fresh that day. Service was friendly, but there was a short wait to order and to get my drink.

The wifi isn’t working, and even the matcha latte is bland. I was told it might be because too many people are using it, but I noticed only about seven people on their laptops. Maybe I was expecting too much...the cafe is smaller than I thought, and the atmosphere is just average. It's a good place to get the work done if wifi works, but I probably wouldn’t come back again just for drinks.

After seeing pictures & videos of the tiramisu latte I was excited to try it! The presentation was 5 stars! The cookie and cocoa powder were a great touch! But upon tasting it, it was missing something..there was nothing to break up the espresso and milk. The cream on top was delicious but after mixing that in, it was straight cream..and for a steep price of $11, I'm disappointed.

I came to this coffee shop when they first opened and stopped coming because the coffee was bad. Yesterday I decided to give it another try and finally got a great cortado — 4 oz, as it should be. Today I ordered a cortado again and got a 6 oz cappuccino. When I asked, the guy said, ‘this is how we do our cortado.’ Well, yesterday that was not the case. Cortado is 4 oz, not 6. Cappuccino is 6 oz, not 8. You jump from 90 calories to 135! What I got today was a 6 oz which is a cappuccino, not a cortado. Yesterday proved you can make it right. Hire a proper barista and keep it consistent. I would love to come here every day it’s convenient, but for the price of this coffee I want to get proper service and proper coffee! Also the time before I stopped coming, there was homeless man whom run into coffee shop and stole their tips. Insanity
service was too slow, they prioritized all normal coffee/ tea drinks than special drinks and don’t work smart (took their time putting lids on people’s drink, girl just let the customers do it on their own.) I could’ve serve faster and high quality coffee than the baristas that day. It is also obvious the baristas were not so fast/ familiar with memorizing menus to work fast and make drinks. I got a tiramisu latte to try something new , however it was not worth $9 and 20 minutes wait.
