Walked in the bar at around noon and ordered beef empanada, fries, a cup of coffee, glasses of draft beer, and a grand margarita cocktail. All tasted delicious. Fast and great service from the bartenders. The ambiance was cool and relaxing. The food and drinks prices are on the high side, but the place had some distinguish guests and history.

The Mission Inn is a must visit location. The restaurant was top of the line. From the beauty and atmosphere of the outdoor court to the excellent service and the fabulous food, everything was top tier. I am not easily impressed and I was impressed. I was referred to this restaurant and am glad that I listened to the recommendation. I was visiting CA from the D.C. area and Mission Inn Restaurant made my visit that much more memorable. I have so many beautiful photos and am still thinking about the excellent fish that I had. Five stars to the mangament, staff, and especially the chefs! 👌🏾

This restaurant is located inside the Mission Inn hotel. My experience here was excellent coming here. From the check in to the waiter! Such a beautiful restaurant! It was clean and tidy and our waiter was nice and attentive. Our food was absolutely delicious! Even the coffee! I would definitely come here again!

I really enjoy enjoying good food and discovering delicious restaurants everywhere. Food truly touches you. Today was my fourth visit to the Missing Inn. I was there to treat some good friends from Beijing and Hangzhou, and to entertain a Taiwanese colleague who's working with me in the US. What made our meal so enjoyable was, of course, not only the delicious burgers, tuna, and salmon rice. What touched me most was the incredibly enthusiastic, humorous, and warm server, #Arturo. He made it a real honor to host my friends there and brought them lots of laughter. So, I'm writing this review specifically for the Missing Inn restaurant. I hope there are more servers like him. Of course, the tip was very happy. It was such a pleasure to dine with friends here! Thank you #Arturo and chief

This place deserves more than 5 stars. The food, servers, atmosphere, and presentation of everything was stellar. This restaurant is part of the hotel, and the fact that they don’t let random people wander in and out (very strictly enforced) of the restaurant if they don’t intend to dine there says a lot about quality control. Phenomenal food and restaurant. Would definitely visit again (I am actually going back tomorrow!)

I went for breakfast and my sister and I split a burrito. We also had coffee which was Lavazza and so delicious. Sharing the burrito was the perfect portion. The service was friendly and courteous. Our server did a great job, but also mentioned that it might take a little more time since they were so busy. I didn't notice any delays. The patio courtyard was such a perfect spot. I recommend this venue for any meal.

From the moment we arrived at the Mission Inn Restaurant, the charming greeter and host made our experience feel pleasant and welcoming. But it wasn’t until we met our server, Karen, that our visit became truly amazing and unforgettable. I was traveling with my teen, who kept asking questions about haunted stories. Even though Karen never confirmed anything, she answered with kindness, patience, and a smile that made us feel special. Her presence alone elevated the experience. The food was delicious and beautifully prepared. We ordered the omelette, Huevos Rancheros, eggs, and pancakes, and everything was flavorful and served perfectly. The linens added an elegant touch that made this birthday breakfast feel even more memorable. The coffee refills kept coming—more than three times until we finally said we had enough! The fresh orange juice was a highlight for my daughter, who really enjoyed it. What stood out most was the attention to detail. Karen’s knowledge of the menu and her warm personality made it easy to choose our dishes. She made us feel cared for, and I don’t think we will ever forget her name. Coming from a line of family members who have owned restaurants—and having owned The Palms Steak & Sea Food myself—I know when recognition is deserved. It’s one thing to have great food, but great service is what makes a place unforgettable. This restaurant earns a 5-star rating not only because of the food, but because of Karen. Thank you, Karen, for making our breakfast feel extra special.

We stopped by on a Monday for lunch and were seated quickly without a reservation. The iconic patio with red umbrellas was simply splendid. It instantly transported us back in history of 100 years. I had the spicy sausage penne, which was surprisingly good with just enough of spiciness. The turkey BLT was decent as well, but the sweet potato fries were on the soggy side. A couple minor issues: the pasta wasn’t served with a spoon and the napkins were shedding badly. By the time we were done. my black pants looked like or was sprayed with white paint. All in all, it was a really enjoyable lunch at this well preserved historical building. Final thought: Mission Inn was indeed impressive as far as a Riverside’s hotel goes, but there was one artifact on display that was a real downer. There was a very old bell taken from an old temple in China. Taking a bell from people’s place of worship and then display it in a hotel in Riverside (of all places in the U.S.) is a real colonialist attitude. Mission Inn should try to find its rightful owner and return the old bell. I suppose that should apply to the bells taken from the real missions as well.

We came here to celebrate our anniversary and have a nice dinner. The mash potatoes were great. Very buttery and rich in flavor. The vegetables were good but a drenched in oil and a bit under done (for me. They had more crunch than I would like). The steak was very good. The sauce that was added lacked flavor and was there more as an unnecessary garnish. The service was ok but our water was not very attentive. We got better service from an other waiter passing by that noticed our drinks were empty. The biggest issue was that one of the plates came out 10 minutes after the other 2 plates. Very disappointed that we had to wait 10 minutes to eat together.

The low rating is for the food. I expected much better from such a beautiful restaurant. The ambiance and decor matched the beauty of the hotel and the service was acceptable but the good was poor quality. I ordered the club sandwich and the bread was not toasted much. The mayo and rhe avocado soaked right through it and it gell apart. A club sandwich is traditionally three layers of bread and this one wad basically just a bad turkey sandwich. The truffle fries were drowning in garlic and not pleasing either. The best part was the cute individual rolls of butter however the rolls were cold and tasteless. I love the hotel and the feel of the restaurant but I would skip the food. Have a drink instead!

We were not impressed with the shrimp dinner to be honest they tasted really rubbery...the chips and salsa were very good and im a chip guy. The steak were ordered was to the T and the rice and beans. We had to ask them to move us because we were in the walk way and we were looking for a mote private setting to enjoy my birthday dinner. I believe a rated accordingly due to the shrimp cost and quality being really unsatifying....I would come again and tey others things on the menu that looked better and hope to give it a 5 star next time...oh I wish they would of done something for me for my birthday also not even a sunday...lol but I guess with the high quality restaurants dont do that...

When it came time to pay the bill, I was told if paying cash it had to be exact because there was no one with change. Sort of weird. Anyway, we never saw the manager. And we definitely won't dine there again. The Mission Hotel decor is beautiful.

His steak came out well done and mine was medium at best. Two steaks essentially ruined. I managed to eat my steak but he could not eat his because it was very overcooked and dry. He did try to eat it but lost his appetite since it was so bad. Waitress said he had eaten about half (not nearly) so she refused to give him a refund. She agreed to charge him half the usual price instead of a full refund for a poorly cooked steak. Not a good business practice and not customer friendly. I was appalled. Hopefully this feed back will spur you to improve your services. I am unlikely to recommend this restaurant.

The orders were placed with an appetizer order and drinks and the food order taken. 15 minutes had passed by then. I ordered a Cobb Salad one of my favorite to try if you have seen my reviews across the country. A classic burger was ordered by to of the group. The one was special with tomato & cheese only with fries. The other was a classic burger with sweet potato fries. 45 minutes later the food showed up. First thing noted the burger orders were backwards on the plate. Sandwiches placed with wrong fries. Switched at the table only to find out the tomato and cheese only had ketchup. Sent back to correct with all that going on I did not realize the salad served was a Caesar Salad with shrimp. The next problem was getting the bill paid. Paid with credit card server came back and set it down and left telling us to enjoy the rest of the day. I looked to make sure I was not charged for the Cobb Salad and then realized she did not return my cc card. I got up and had to have the bartender near entrance get another server to find my credit card. Bad service does not warrant more than paying the bill marked out the tip. 👎🏻😤

My daughter took everyone yesterday for Christmas brunch. Half of the serving table, there wasn’t any food. What food there was, was cold. The ambience was fabulous. The service was not that great. A half hour before the brunch was over that’s when they brought out the prime rib, which was still raw. Not rare but raw. Finally, they brought out some rolls, the lettuce was finally brought out on the salad section and it was yellowed. The food was just unbelievably horrible. Also went to use the restroom and there was only four stalls in the women’s room. The handicapped was overflowed, and you couldn’t use it, second stall had no toilet seat and they were out of seat covers, toilet paper, and paper towels. It was just a horribly disappointing and expensive Christmas Day. Will never go back there again.
