A family member and my loved ones brought me to this place, where you can admire a beautiful view. It's already enchanting, and from the inside you can admire the entire Asiago area and its surroundings through the beautiful windows. The place is beautifully airy, with tables spaced apart, very quiet, a classic mountain restaurant with a very welcoming atmosphere. We had an appetizer of sopressa, melted cheese, and toasted polenta. The sopressa was very tasty. Then we had homemade gnocchi with melted cheese and speck, excellent and flavorful. Then we ordered a mixed grill of meats, and my family all complimented us on the cooking and flavor of the meats, which were very good and tender. We also had a side dish of mixed mushrooms, melted cheese, and French fries. We drank some very good house wine, which was delicious, and finished with a delicious strudel dessert. I must say I was very satisfied with everything, and I also want to compliment Mrs. Stefania, who was very kind and courteous, having small grandchildren at the table and who served with great kindness. I will definitely return to sample more of your Venetian cuisine delights and admire the serene, joyful view outside, especially your hospitality. Very fair price.

We chose this place after reading the positive reviews. We were very satisfied. Booking a table online was very easy, and that's already an added bonus. The positive review is obviously also due to the quality of the food. The baitina is a one-dish meal with mushrooms, melted cheese, cooked salami, and polenta. The side dishes (baked potatoes and marinated cabbage) are very good, as are the desserts. I'd like to end by praising the staff, who are kind, friendly, and always smiling.

The staff were very friendly and the food was truly delicious. Among the various side dishes, I tried the mixed mushrooms, which I loved. I recommend it for the ambiance as well: I was lucky enough to eat on the veranda, which makes everything a little more "romantic." It was a truly positive experience, and I definitely think I'll be back. EDIT: I've been back, and the place remains charming. I tried a first course (gnocchi with chanterelles and ricotta), and that, in addition to all the meat, was truly delicious. Perhaps it's a small flaw that the dishes were a little small for my appetite, but the 5 stars remain, of course.

La Baitina di Roana lets you know the restaurant's professionalism right from the moment you book: convenient, simple, online, with confirmation within a few hours, even via a pleasant WhatsApp message. The restaurant looks very nice; unfortunately, the outside was unusable yesterday due to the uncertain weather, but the interior features plenty of wood, just like a true mountain hut, a pleasant atmosphere, unobtrusive lighting, and a veranda that makes the atmosphere even more subdued. As for dinner, every single dish we ordered was prepared with care. From the choice of raw materials, whose quality was easily discernible, to the plating, preparation, and cooking (the photos speak for themselves). In addition to drinks, we ordered an appetizer, two main courses, a side dish, and a dessert, and as for the final price of the dinner, I must emphasize that it was absolutely fair compared to the quality of the evening. Last, but not least, I'd like to share with you readers who choose this restaurant: the waiters; Professional, polite, kind, and always attentive to the dining room, always ready to explain in detail what's on the menu or simply come over to take additional orders. Result? I'll definitely be back, also to try more of the delicious dishes I saw being delivered around me and that were so craving. 😬🤤

We found it purely by chance, passing through on our way back from Asiago, and it was a truly pleasant discovery. They welcomed us without any problems even though we hadn't booked, and they keep the kitchen open late. The atmosphere is modern, well-kept, and warm. The waiters are kind and professional. We shared a platter of cured meats and a cheese platter between four of us: all very good, fresh, and local. Then I opted for the venison stew with polenta, which was truly special and melted in my mouth! The portions were just right, as were the prices.

November 9-10, 2024. On the Asiago Plateau for a weekend of trekking and relaxation, surrounded by nature and history, my wife and I decided at the last minute not to dine at the hotel, but to go out for dinner... We chose this place thanks to the excellent reviews and were lucky enough to find a table for the first sitting at 7:00 PM (the second sitting is at 9:00 PM). The parking lot is quite spacious and convenient, with a view of the illuminated La Baitina, which stands out against the backdrop of the mountains and a black sky full of stars: a great calling card in itself! The place is welcoming, with softer lighting at the entrance (bar/cash register) and brighter ones in the internal dining room (there's also an outdoor veranda), with minimalist furnishings but with the typical warmth of wood... We were escorted to our table, and after just a few minutes, we were brought the menu and served a basket with excellent homemade bread and small, delicious breadsticks. We start with an appetizer each, opting for the Montanaro "Bocon" (fresh polenta from Storo, mixed Bepin mushrooms, and diced fresh Asiago mezzano DOP cheese) and the Alpeggio (homemade beef carne salada with ricotta emulsion from the Pennar Dairy in Asiago, a reduction of mountain pine balsamic vinegar, and toasted walnuts): what can I say... each one better than the other, but a special highlight is the carne salada and its pairings: exceptional!!! Dinner then continued with a first course for me (I especially love first courses) and a second course for my wife... and the choice, extremely difficult (because it was really hard to choose just one dish), fell on a plate of Tagliatelle with local truffles and a "second course of the day" (Irish beef tagliata, cooked twice, with flakes of Cypriot black salt and rosemary, served with Storo polenta). I'm a lover and admirer (but not an expert) of truffles, and I was worried that the local truffle might not satisfy my palate... Instead, it was an explosion of sensations for my taste buds! I then tried a small piece of tagliata from my wife's plate, and I could see she was particularly pleased, and... the meat was tender and cooked to perfection... it literally melted in my mouth... and the flakes of Cypriot black salt decorating the dish further enhanced it with a unique flavor and savoriness... Of course, all while sipping an excellent Raboso (a local sparkling red)! Satisfied with the dinner and quite full, we couldn't resist the dessert menu, so we ordered a Tiramisu Mousse and a portion of Bisa with fortified wine. The first dessert was very good (chosen by my wife, always looking for alternatives and/or reinterpretations of the classic tiramisu), and the second was equally delicious: the pieces of Bisa, dipped in fortified wine like biscotti and Vin Santo, were truly exquisite! In short, what can I say except that we had a wonderful time and were truly satisfied with the dinner, from appetizer to dessert. The prices are a bit high, but adequate for the quality of the offerings (approximately €96 for two people for: 2 places, 2 appetizers, 1 first course, 1 second course, 2 desserts, 1 liter of water, 1/2 liter of wine by the glass, 1 coffee). A sincere compliment to all the staff, from the smiling and kind waiters to those working behind the scenes in the kitchen, expertly and passionately creating excellent and beautiful dishes, ensuring guests have a pleasant evening and a truly positive dining experience! Highly recommended!!!

La Baitina has been a wonderful discovery. This restaurant managed to capture the soul of the Altopiano di Asiago and put it into their dishes. The food quality is exceptional and the staff warm and welcoming (and they speak English). We ate on the beautiful terrace, but if you prefer to eat indoor the space is well lit by natural light thanks to the very large windows. We ate traditional gnocchi with butter and sage, grilled beef fillet (with and without porcini mushrooms), grilled stag's loin marinated in thyme, traditional molten tosella cheese, and a grilled mix of sausages, chicken and pork. Side dishes are all fresh, hence limited to what the season is ready to offer. (Just ask the staff and they will let you know what is available) In our case (July) we had grilled zucchini, mushrooms, butter carrots, beans and finally Rotzo's fried potatoes (a delicious type of potato). The wine's selection is wide, but I'd recommend to go for something local such as vino della casa or some prosecco. Dessert are also seasonal so just ask the staff to let you know what's available (We had a brilliant cherry pie and a moist grano saraceno's cake with wild berries' sauce) -Gnocchi 5/5 -Meat 5/5 -Vegetables 5/5 -Dessert 5/5 -Wine 5/5 I could not find a single defect to our experience, hence a well deserved 5/5. Well done La Baitina, see you next time!

Locale molto carino in cui pranzare o cenare se siete in zona Roana 🍖🍷 Noi abbiamo provato sia primi che secondi ed erano buoni, unico problema la tagliata che abbiamo chiesto al sangue ma è arrivata troppo cotta come si vede dalle foto. Dolci buoni. Prezzi nella media di altri posti simili come anche le portate. Parcheggio abbastanza grande vicino al locale. Consiglio di prenotare soprattutto se siete più di 4/5 perché non è ovviamente un posto enorme. ✅️Se siete in zona consiglio quindi di provarlo stando magari attenti al discorso tagliata.
