If you love Hot and Sour soup hit this place up! Fresh firm vegetables make up the majority of the soup. Chicken Mei-fun is also a favorite, nice touch of garlic in it. But by far the heftiest and best tasting soups I have had😁

Large portions, delicious, very fast. Used the online ordering option and it was ready for pickup within 15 minutes. You can see the food being freshly cooked from the front counter. The spring rolls... Awesome! AND they gave us a free soup because she felt like we waited too long!

Couple of gentlemen call to get some Chinese food. Place order guy says “10 minutes” get there food was already in a bag and I had to place my card thru a window. China Garden is the absolute best! I discovered them when I moved to the area over 13 years ago and they remain my go-to. Everything is always so good and prices are reasonable. I have lived in both NYC and ROC and I’ve never found another Chinese restaurant nearly as good and as consistent as CG.

I went here on Christmas and for as busy as it was, everyone in there hustled to get orders out. I got the Kung Pao chicken and my father got General Tso chicken. Both were fantastic. I got lo main and he got friend rice and again, fantastic. Easily my favorite Chinese restaurant in Rochester. Will be returning again

China Garden is the best Chinese food in Rochester, hands down. It has been my go-to for several years, and has never been a let down. It is a family business, and everybody is always so kind when I pick my food up. If you are a crab rangoon enthusiast like me, this is the place to go 😄 Great food that is prepared quickly by very kind people.

Amazing tasting food and kind workers! I ordered the orange chicken combo and the beef / broccoli combo, both amazing. Orange chicken was some of the best orange chicken I’ve had! $20 for 2 meals that my fiancé and I couldn’t even finish so really, $20 for 4 meals!

Used to live right next to them, moved half way across the city and am still getting some of the best food downtown. The owners are incredibly kind, remember past customers, and make for a seamless order whether online, on phone, or in person. Spot's like this make me love this city.

We order from China Garden Kitchen monthly, if not more often, and we are never disappointed! The food is fast, fresh, and consistent, and the vegan options are phenomenal (try the General Tso's Tofu!). Service is always quick and kind. I refuse to order anywhere else!

They are the first restaurant that has treated me like a long time customer or friend since day 1. The food is perfection. And the employees are even better. Food comes quick and its reasonably priced. No more Uber Eats for me. I use the Beyond Menu. It allows me to orders directly from them.

China Garden has been my go-to spot for Chinese ever since I moved into the city some 9 years ago. Nothing is bad...seriously! I highly recommend their Chicken LoMein! As you can see, I ordered a quart and the noodles are literally bursting out the top! I would also strongly recommend their fried dumplings, Szechuan Wonton, and Beef and Broccoli. Very good all around and reasonably priced, especially compared to some other places in the area.

One of the best places in town!!! I'd highly recommend this place for great local Chinese food in Rochester. We ordered crab Rangoons, general tso chicken combo, egg drop soup, hot and sour soup, house special low mein, egg rolls, and got free chinese donuts that were amazingly great!!! We ordered online with grub hub and took about an hour to get our food but when we got it the food tasted great. Ill defiantly will be ordering from this place again when i want Chinese.

I gotta say that this is my favorite chinese restaurant. the food price is very reasonable, considering the amount of food you get. you will most likely have plenty leftover. the only bad thing about this place from what i can tell is that sometimes the consistency of the sweet and sour chicken is a little unreliable; such that it is sometimes very dry or the meat is very chewy, but most of the time its just fine. Other than that, I highly recommend this place.

The food was very good the first time but tasted different the 2nd time I came back. So I was kinda disappointed. Who ever they had cooking should leave and repeat your order because I feel like they don't understand over the phone so much.

Decent Chinese food, nothing remarkable on the menu or about the food in general but they're reliably good. We order from here once a month or so because they're the only Chinese place that delivers to our house and haven't been disappointed yet.

Very good food. Not the best Chinese in Rochester, but quick, cheap, and tasty. They charge extra to use a credit card, and a 2 liter of soda was like $3. Not much room to eat in, but I always take out or order delivery. Fried rice a always seems fresh, as do the egg rolls.

The food is always delicious. My orders have never been mixed up or incorrect. And the staff is courteous, easy to speak to, and will call to confirm an order if something that is normally ordered is changed, or call if they are out of an item to offer a substitute.

Staff is great, egg rolls are great, didn't get many veggies in vegetable lo mein though. Sweet sour chicken was good.. Overall good place, decent price. Not much of a dine in place, only a couple tables. Worth a shot for take out.

My go to spot for MooShu. I get Pork when it's my choice. But the chicken is good too. No need to get extra pancake's or sauce. Always fresh and good. By any measure the finest Chinese takeout in Rochester. Very consistent.

Picked up dinner for the family last night. I had a special order and everything was made just the way I ordered. But, the food was tasteless. I even ask even for extra seasoning and nothing was added. I ordered beef and broccoli and the cornstarch was not cooked out and it had no taste. I gave three stars because the service was great but I will continue to search for a restaurant that makes good tasting food.

Ordered take out. Chicken lo mein and dumplings. The driver smoked and the delivery, as a result, reeked of cigarettes. The dumplings tasted ok, but some were too soggy and fell apart. The lomein smelled like burned or stale oil, completely inedible. Very disappointing. And now I'm waiting for the smell of cigarettes and old cooking oil to get out of my apartment.

My chicken was not crispy. Putting it in a plastic container doesn't help either. The chicken was very grainy. No real spices used whatsoever. I asked for extra spicy and it was a 2/10. The rice was weak! No flavor. No love!

The only reason why I am giving this restaurant 2 stars is because this business offers the convenience of ordering online. I ordered the Sesame Chicken which was very dry and lacked flavor, the crab rangoon barely had any crab and lacked flavor, it was pretty much cream cheese fried in some sort of pastry, I just threw it out, and I also had a side of pork fried rice which was overcooked or maybe old because it was super dry and hard I threw that in the trash. Don't even bother falling into the trap that you are getting a good deal by ordering delivery off the lunch menu because this restaurant has a $10 delivery minimum. You are better off going with another restaurant, don't even waste your time with this place, its quite disappointing.

Just order full size lunch received the small round container. Ordered three egg rolls one included with lunch order and two others with appetizer's. Received two. Ordered for delivery and was forced to do pick up with yet another additional charge for delivery. Called and the person (woman) behind the counter proceeded to scream at me. What a joke. Ordered food that had peanuts in it, no allergy warning. Thankfully I don't have an allergy, but still don't like them. The food itself was not great, my "peppers" was just a chili cut down the middle. Wouldn't have been too much of a problem if my meal didn't come with a knife when I explicitly asked for one. I liked the egg roll, but given how I normally don't like egg rolls, that's not a good sign.

My lomein was mushy, and the sesame chicken was undercooked, sauce not sticky enough.

Easily the worst Chinese food I think I've ever had. It took over an hour to get delivered and we only ordered 5 small things. The chicken lo mein was dry and had no taste at all. The fried rice was moderately ok. The egg roll made me want to gag(I still might) and it just all around didn't taste good to any of us

I called ahead, they said 10 minutes. When I walked in she said only few minutes but I watched them cook it then. I watch the guy throw my chicken in the wok. Not even 10 seconds he took it out. Not sure if that's to heat it up with the sauce as the chicken maybe cooked pre-hand but my chicken was raw and pink.. RAW chicken. Not to mention the cook was EATING next to the prep area. He didnt even wash his hands before making my food. I will never eat here again.

Beyond disappointing. Food was bland. Ordered pu pu platter, fried wonton, pork fried rice, and egg rolls. Beef on a stick was disgusting and bland. Shrimp wasn't fully cooked (batter was doughy). Chicken wings weren't fully cooked. Didn't dare try the shrimp toast out of fear. Wonton was acceptable. Egg rolls were bland (thankfully the red sauce had flavor). Fried rice was bland and starchy. Definitely won't do this again.

The first time i had food from here it was absolutely terrible! Food was overcooked and tasteless! But i decided to give them a second chance tonight! It was again terrible! Even the rice was overcooked and the chicken lo mien was tasteless and the so called chicken went to mush in your mouth!!! So disappointed

Was not impressed. Ordered the Szechuan shrimp with fried rice. Shrimp was mushy, that was a first for me and the rices was yellow and flavored less. Huge disappointment taking a chance on a Chinese restaurant on a Monday when most are closed . Should’ve waited until Tuesday to go to my favorite place and kill my craving of Chinese food.

I got the general tso’s with egg roll and pork fried rice and none of it tasted good. The chicken tasted incredibly hard and stale. The rice and egg roll didn’t have any flavor. Even with the low price the food was not worth it and I wish I spent a couple dollars more to go somewhere better.

Food is terrible. Unseasoned, boiled, and sickening. I've never left a bad review for anything but I feel robbed. We just threw away like pounds of food cause it's inedible. Thanks for the plain donuts I guess.

I ordered Fan tail shrimp which was 95%% batter, over cooked and the shrimp inside was basically crucified, the shrimp egg foo young was bland, had tiny salad shrimp and overcooked white rice, it just wasnt good

Ordered through Doordash, 1 hour later no food. Called restaurant, told they just left. Tried to cancel, was yelled at by a female and hung up on. They charged me $32 and never delivered it. Side note, Doordash didn't care.

Try to order over the phone…the guy was very rude!!!…and they wanted me to order my meals separate..like I wanted the general chicken combo and he told me I have to order tha general chicken n lo mein separate and it don’t come with an egg roll!!..and was being rude while explaining!…I’m good!…I hung up and took my service else where!..I really suggest New China on culver rd and Norton..they’re friendly,let you order combos and just as good if not better!…and ohh yea…it would of been about a 300$ dollar order also..me and about 10 other coworkers were ready to order…welp…there lost!!..next time have someone more respectful take a customer order!..

I ordered the Szechuan shrimp with fried rice, and it was a complete letdown. The shrimp had an odd, mushy texture—something I’ve never encountered before—and the rice was disappointingly bland, with an unappetising yellow hue. The entire dish lacked seasoning and depth of flavour. Definitely not a meal I'd order again.

Ordered for delivery, both my wife and I were vomiting 1.5 hours after eating, we both got different items but shared the spring rolls, I am not sure what's going on, I've ordered from them before but when I called and told them I was told "you got to prove it, with no proof, nothing" and phone was hung up. We are both vomiting and having hot flashes and with no car, so sadly we cannot prove it right now but I will. I do not recommend after this experience and the rudeness of the male who answered the phone.
