My lady and I were first time visitors, and it stood up to the hype. Amazing food, and quiet location even though I dont mind the bustle of busy hours. We tried the Pastrami, the Cuban, and the Grilled greek chicken sandwich. All of which were amazing. I highly recommend.

Got the “Gucci-jang” chicken sandwich with a side of fries and you guys just became my number one sandwich spot. Not just in Rochester, but anywhere. Restaurant is immaculate, service was fantastic and food was incredible. Planning to go back this weekend to try other sandwiches from the menu. So damn good.

This is a really cool restaurant in the South Wedge that has excellent food and great service. I cannot say enough about the Tomato soup it was so delicious I could have had 2 bowls of that and been thrilled but I did make your own sandwich with Pastrami, salami, and ham on a hard roll and that was so good. I'll definitely be back.

I can't say enough about their cheesesteak sandwich. The gorgonzola cheese sauce is deliciously punchy with the tender meat and peppers. The steak itself is great, Im here for the sloppy sandos and this delivered ten fold, can't wait to try the others 🤩

River Street Sandwich is an absolute standout in the Rochester food scene. Tucked away in a cozy little neighborhood. It serves up some of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had — and I don’t say that lightly! The menu is creative without being over-the-top, with something for everyone. I had the steak and egg sandwich, and it was perfection — fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. The bread was just the right mix of crisp and chewy, and every ingredient tasted top-quality. What really sets River Street Sandwich apart, though, is the attention to detail and the genuine friendliness of the staff. You can tell they care about what they’re doing, from how the food is presented to how they interact with customers. It feels welcoming, unpretentious, and reliably excellent.

Wow! We were looking for a place for a good sandwich during our short adventure to Rochester, and boy, did we find the winner. Nestled on a cozy street with other local businesses, River Street Sandwich Makers offered a quaint modern eatery that honors the history of it's building and city. I ordered the Gucci Tang Chicken sandwich and my husband got the Banh Mi. Both were SO delicious. The chicken sandwich was unlike anything I've ever had before, and it hit every note like a professional symphony. The staff were friendly and attentive, and you could tell that they care deeply about their restaurant. I think this might be my new go-to restaurant whenever I come to Rochester, which may need to be more frequently now.

Great sandwich shop. Prices are a little bit high, but the quality is great and service it really friendly and helpful. Banh mi is not traditional but delicious. My son loves their BLT.

So nice to get a hearty sandwich on gluten free bread! Really enjoyed the chicken salad. My girlfriend had the chickpea salad on sourdough and the broccoli cheddar soup. All delicious. Cute spot , good music and vibes, and really friendly service.

The BEST Reuben I have had in a long time. It was so flavorful. Also, so big that I made 2 meals out of it. The fries were amazing. This is mine and my boyfriend’s new favorite spot. I cannot say enough about this GEM of a sandwich shop!!!!

Highly recommend a fizz pop too to use the wall bottle opener too. Next time I am eyeing the smoked salmon egg salad sandwich! Outdoor seating would be cool but but def not a deal breaker. Highly recommend!

Every time I eat at the River Street Shop, I am always amazed at how delicious the food is. The combinations of different ingredients take sandwiches (and salads) to the next level. I truly enjoy eating anything made here

Their food is lights out! Every time we order from here the food is fresh and delicious. I’ve never seen fresher tomatoes on a sandwhich 😍 I highly recommend their Turkey Club and don’t sleep on their breakfast sammies (available all day 😱).

My wife and I recently discovered River Street a couple of months ago when looking for a new place to try sandwiches/wraps. We have been back quite a few times and will continue to do so moving forward. They have continually gone above and beyond with their food, it's presentation and the way that they treat their customers. Every item we have ever gotten there has been delicious, carefully crafted and made to perfection. They are the quality of eatery that you strive to find. They are the type of eatery that other businesses should model themselves after. I will always recommend them to any and everyone. You will not be disappointed.

First time here, I tried the Bahn Mi. The flavor was amazing. Quite a fee unique sandwhiches or unique takes on sandwhiches. The quality was very good. The food was fairly expensive and the meat a little dry. I will have to try more sandwiches!

We got the Gucci-Jang and Bada Bing sandwiches. First-timers and we definitely recommend the Gucci-Jang Chicken sandwich. The chicken is super crispy and the sandwich overall was very tasty. The Bada Bing has good flavors, the only thing we didn't like about this is the bread. It wasn't up to par compared to everything else.
